Decades ago, they had a place a stone's throw away from this location (The building behind the habitat for humanity re-store) Then they had a location across from Round Rock High School. (Formerly it was a Conan's and they had a Soul Calibur II machine in there. But they swapped that out for a Metal Slug machine) History lesson aside - This is a place for Jersey style pizza. Made with care and precision. There are some tables for eating inside, but it's mainly a pick up location. The website is out of date, call for prices There's a few good pizza places in the area, this one has thinner, crispier crust. A lot easier to eat with hands. Got their 18 inch cheese; HUGE slices. Pizza bigger than your head. They put coupons occasionally out in the community impact newsletter, def take advantage of those. I actually used to go to the old Saccone's that was near this location before it had a fire, among other tragedies that brought its demise. This is perhaps the best pizza in all of Austin. There are a variety. I've incredible selections. Reminds me of being back in New York City.

After being disappointed over and over by our 2 regular pizza joints (extra sauce and cheese=no sauce and barely any cheese. But they charged us for it), we tried Saccone's. It was great. Wonderful real, ooey, gooey cheese. Sauce had great flavor. I can't believe we haven't tried it sooner. But we'll be back. Really great pizza. read more

We all cried giant alligator tears when Saccones left their location on 620. When we learned that they had a new location near us on 183, squeals of delight were heard from the kids. The new location opened without too much fanfare in the weirdo shopping center at Lake Creek Parkway and 183. You know, the one with the Taco Bell and the Pita Fusion? The new one doesn't have a dining room which, for Covid, maybe better but the pizza is still legit. Same great 'za but without the dining room. Our pizza was hot and delicious as expected. I'll miss our regular visits but at least now don't have to miss out completely. read more

WORST FOOD POISONING experience ever. I ordered a Codys Special Pizza and a Margherita Pizza on new years eve. We have an infant so it wasn't a party night for us, just thought we would have a nice quiet night in, had some friends over who were pregnant so no one was drinking. The ladies both only had the margarita pizza so they were fine, thank god because that could've been really bad for the pregnant one. Me and the other guy were puking for 2 solid days, it's taken me 4 days to FINALLY feel mostly normal. I hate to write this but our pizza today was definitely not up to the standards we've always enjoyed at Saconis. The center of the pie was wet, the topping just slide off when you touched a piece. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. $45 for a pizza is a little steep so maybe it's time to look else where. It's great to have Saccone's back in my NW Austin hood after several years. In my opinion they make the best pizza in Greater Austin, bar none. Extra points if you're from the NY/NJ area and miss that distinctive and delicious pie style. Their calzones are also worth trying. Prices are a bit higher than average for the area, but the portion sizes and ingredient quality more than make up for it. Saccone's is a family business, and the staff is friendly and takes obvious pride in their food. The menu is limited to mainly pizza for now, but they should be expanding their options soon.
