first time trying this place from a video on FB I like both of the choices Bun Rieu: Broth is flavorful and comes with a lot of toppings, except for the snail that it was way too chewy, I could not eat all of them, may be less boiling for the snail will be wonderful Hu Tieu Muc: Squid is fresh and well-cooked, broth is on the light side Service is friendly and Attentive there are many seats including patio, decoration actual giving you of a feeling from the old days Saigon somehow Over all, everything is good except for small issues that can be easily improved I will be back to try other dishes

I'm so upset that I haven't been this restaurant sooner. I felt like walking into a restaurant in Vietnam not in Orange County. There's indoors and outdoor seating. Their menu has both in English and Vietnamese which is a plus. Their staff explains the menu and actually comes by to check up, which is pretty cool. (If you know, you know) I got their squid rice noodle soup, crab and shrimp eggrolls, and my friend got the fermented vermicelli noodles. All 3 were super delicious, squid was still tender and not tough. As I'm writing this review I'm still salivating and planning my next trip back to try other dishes.

The bún mắm is very authentic and they even served with a rare bitter veggie on the side mixed in the veggies plate, don't add it if you are not a fan, pretty bitter for my taste, but I could get use to it. The smell, taste and outside dining patio remind me so much of Vietnam. For those of you who been there and been to Vietnam knows what I am talking about. I'll be back to try other items with my family.

I took my family here to try their bun mam (vermicelli with fermented fish paste soup), and we were pleasantly surprised. We got the bun mam, nem cua be (crab egg rolls), and banh tam bi (thick vermicelli noodles with shredded pork). The bun mam was just the way I like it - just the right amount of fermented fish flavor and seasoned just right for the mien tay Vietnamese (southwestern Vietnamese). The nem cua be was alright in my opinion, crispy egg rolls shell with meaty filling and not enough crab flavor, nothing too special. The banh tam bi (forgot the picture) was our least favorite. The mixed fish sauce that it was served with was too salty for us and the noodle was a bit too hard, in a not good way. Overall, I would come back for the bun mam and skip everything else. The outdoor setting reminds me of the restaurants in Vietnam. It's that vibe of someone serving food in their front yard. The biggest downside is the parking situation. They're located on the side plaza next to Phuoc Loc Tho (Asian Garden Mall) with barely any parking space. We had to park at Phuoc Loc Tho and walked over.

First time here for a weekday lunch. I got Bún Nắm. The fish flavor was good. Not too sweet as other restaurant. Can definitely taste the fish sauce. They have fish cake stuffed in jalapeño instead of eggplants, which can be a little spicy. Not bad at all and I would come back. However, I still this can't top Bún Nắm at Ốc &lẩu. Plenty of seatings inside. Right next to Asian garden mall on moran street. Might not have parking as guests from Asian garden mall often park there. Would come back to try other items.

I had a good experience if it wasn't for a fly buzzing around do I would have gave it a five star. The waiter was attentive and the dish was delicious I would have had seconds but this spot sure hit the spot for healthy eating. The place is hidden however easy to find with a layback environment.

Today I discovered one of the best bun rieu and banh canh from a restaurant. It's difficult to find really good bun rieu as I've gotten comfortable enjoying my family's home-made styles in the past. I especially enjoyed the texture of noodles in the banh canh and the thinner vermicelli noodles for the bun rieu. The soup and toppings for each dish were very tasty as well. Also ordered the fried crab rolls and it was very delicious too.

Easily one of the best Vietnamese restaurant in OC. I came to try their restaurant without any expectation, on a Thursday morning. To my surprise, every single dish that we ordered was amazing. (+1) when the owner said she doesnt like to add sugar to her food, and I can tell since a lot of her dishes are more on the savory side. -Seafood Udon: bánh canh tôm cua: Sai Gon Xua nailed it!!! I am super picky with this dish since my grandma makes it the best. This is the first time that I gonna say a banh canh from a restaurant lives up to my preference, feels just like eating at home: the broth is not too condensed, very flavorful, they use real crabs, and each bowl has like 3 giant shrimps!. Even the boiled pork was nicely cut , ingredients are very fresh and I can see the owner put a lot of passion + thoughts to this dish. 10/10 for me. I probably gonna order this again tomorrow thats how delicious the banh canh was lol. - Crispy egg with rice doug ( Bột Chiên). OOooh 9.5/10.my photo does not do this dish justice, she ( the chef) made it crispy on the outside but still soft inside. Its a simple appetizer, but hard to nail the flavor. Many places tried to make this dish but they turned out to be chewy and greasy, so far this is my favorite one. - Vermicilli with crispu crab wrap: oh wow. This reminds me of the flavor of Nem cua be from a famous place in Saigon (district 1). It was cooked perfectly, the seasoning, the wrap, how the "nem" was perfectly fried. Also dont forget to order a Viet Coffee! Overall, i would love to come back here to try other specialties :)! Worth the wait and the drive.

I came here for the yummy drinks especially the tamarind with peanuts!
    Paul N.

Avocado smoothies, the tamarind with peanuts refreshments and the creamy coffees are my favorites. Will come back for the food! Next to Asian garden mall, plenty of parking . Turn in the street before Asian garden mall by lees on the other side.

Service was great and the people are nice but the food is just okay. Restaurant is not the cleanest and my crab and pork egg rolls came out raw.. they brought out a new one for me. While the restaurant is clearly popular, the food didn't live up to the hype, unfortunately.

The Bún Mắm Trà Vinh was very well balanced between savory, sweetness, and full of umami flavors. It has all the right ingredients, although the fresh herbs accompaniment lacks some herbs. Friendly service staffs. The place is clean and bright with lots of seating space. Parking however, will be hard, especially during weekends and holidays. So plan accordingly. The menu offers other dishes as well and I will try them at another time.

Great Bun Mam from Can Tho province of Vietnam. A delicious delicacy full of flavorful umami goodness is known as Bun Mama or stinky fish soup noodles with fresh local herbs and spices from that region of Vietnam. Beware it's highly recommended and quite addictive once you've tried Bun Mama stinky soup with fish and squid. Everything is good here too and always made to order. No microwave needed. A quiet garden next to the fire station. Enjoy the evening and get your hands on some delicious Bun Mama today.

They've been consistently amazing ever since they opened, and somehow they've only gotten better over time. I honestly enjoy just about every drink on their menu, especially their seasonal specials. My all-time favorite has to be their 2026 Spring Earl Grey Matcha. I was getting it almost every week, and I was genuinely sad when they switched over to their summer menu. Thankfully, they kept the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha, because wow... what a flavor explosion. It's easily one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had, and my friend and I keep coming back just for it. I know it sounds a little adventurous, because it did to me, but when I tried it, it genuinely changed my life (kidding). If mango isn't your thing, I highly recommend either the Double Matcha or the Banana Matcha. The Double Matcha is perfect if you love a strong matcha flavor; you can really taste the quality of the matcha they use. As for the Banana Matcha, I normally don't gravitate toward banana drinks, but SIP completely changed my mind. They use what tastes like a banana pudding instead of artificial banana flavoring, and it blends so smoothly with the matcha that every sip feels balanced and indulgent. The café itself is just as charming as the drinks. The wood paneling gives the space a cozy, retro vibe that makes you want to stay a while, and the staff is always incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming.

I especially loved the red gingham decor it gives the whole place the cutest little picnic feel There are a few chairs where you can sit, sip, and chat, but no tables, so I wouldn't really consider this a spot to bring your laptop and work. Now the MATCHA I looooved their matcha with the Earl Grey foam top. OMG... it was phenomenal!! The matcha was earthy, umami, and so well balanced, and the hint of Earl Grey in the foam complemented it perfectly without overpowering the matcha. Such a good combination! I will 100% be coming back for this one!

Canale: Despite having to wait for the drink, I needed to wait longer for this because the staff forgot to put it in the order. I needed to wait for them to prepare it in the back and also go back to the counter to charge for it. All to wait for something that was mushy. The Pistachio Matcha Latte was smoother and more subtle. The pistachio wasn't very strong, but it complemented the matcha nicely. If you enjoy matcha and don't want something overly sweet, it's a good choice. We also ordered the Popcorn Chicken, which ended up being one of the highlights.
