    52A. Vietnamese style Pad Thai
    Greg H.

An Asian guy recommended this place to me so I knew it would be awesome and he was right . This is the best Vietnamese restaurant I've tried in Southern California by far. The pho soup is rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with high quality sliced filet mignon. Their Vietnamese style pad Thai was also amazing and a standout, not dry like Thai restaurants serve. The oil that they add to it makes all the difference! You know a restaurant is doing something right when you have to sign into an iPad to get on the waiting list by the front door. 5 stars all the way!

A great local spot to satisfy your Vietnamese cravings! We stopped by for an early Friday dinner and found the place already busy, but luckily a table opened up for us. I like to switch things up between pho and bun rieu, and that night I went with the tomato-based noodle soup. It was a bit mild at first, but adding extra shrimp paste made it just right. I also appreciated that the staff had no problem blanching the bean sprouts upon request just the way I like them. My husband ordered the grilled pork chop with rice, and they were happy to swap out the shredded pork for a fried egg. We also shared an order of shrimp cakes to start. The food came out quickly, service was prompt, and overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes on the menu.

The food was good excellent, the service was friendly, the prices were fine, and the wait wasn't too long for lunch on a Saturday even though the place was packed! I will definitely come back here. You can save 5% if you pay cash.

I have been searching high and low for a Bo Kho with a thicker roux like broth, it's how I was introduced to Vietnamese beef stew in Virginia. Saigon Dish is the first restaurant I've found near LA that prepares Bo Kho that way. My dramatic self stopped the employee to tell him how long it's been since I've had a Bo Kho that reminded me of home. Although it was sweeter than what I'm used to, it was still delicious. I was lucky enough to come in on a Saturday when the Banh Xeo was available. The crepe was light and crispy (now this dish I'm actually used to being a bit sweeter) but the nuoc mam really balanced everything out. I contemplated taking a container of the fish sauce home but I know what happens if that spills in your car. Anyways, this is one of those restaurants where you want to come hungry so you can eat 3 meals.

Decent place for pho! You can tell it's a local spot -- a lot of the people working here know their regulars who come here so that was nice to see! Eggrolls: sad that they didn't come out freshly fried (but that meant that they came out very quickly) but flavor of the fillings was great! My preference for the fish sauce is a bit more funk with chilies but honestly no complaints other than the fact that it didn't come out piping hot. Pho filet mignon: got the regular size which came with a decent amount of beef and a GENEROUS amount of rice noodles. Broth was nice, clean, hot, and light but lacked in the flavor of spices but pretty good and if I was in the area I'd come back to have pho here.

So good! I love the food and vibe here. The owner is hands on and the service is quick. The eggroll with wraps and mints are great appetizers and a must.

The Baseline: For a Vietnamese cafe the Pho must be quality, the accompaniment add-in ingredients must be fresh, the meats must be well prepared, and menu must have authentic Vietnamese flavors. Food: I had the 11 tonight which was Pho with lean beef and brisket. This compares great against the most popular #13a. Great meal tonight and the spring rolls were awesome. Service: Great service from the wait staff this evening. Ambiance: The restaurant is clean and busy on this visit. There was a line waiting out the door.

Came for lunch on a Thursday and it was packed! Didn't have to wait too long though and they also have a yelp waitlist. Ordered the bun rieu which was delicious. Broth was savory and they're very generous with the portions - gave a lot of meat and noodles in a large bowl. Also got the spring rolls which were good - meat a little dry in spring rolls.

We ordered the Special Combination Pho and the Special Combo Rice Platter. The pho had a clear light broth that was tasty. Rice noodles cooked well. I did think the meat portion was quite skimpy despite ordering a large size pho. The combo rice platter was a nice way to try a bit of everything. The short ribs were tender. Came with a hearty broth as well. Food came out super fast and the servers were nice. Good place for takeout as well. Giving it 4 stars since you can get more meat for your buck elsewhere! Would be open to coming back if I'm in the area.

Saigon dish is my fav Viet spot hands down. Everything is delicious and John, the owner, is just a really cool human. I've been coming here for like maybe 15 years and he always remembers me (which shocked me because I've gone years between seeing him with different hair blue, shaved head, blonde, brown lol). Sucks I don't live close by anymore or I'd frequent this place. Their egg rolls, spring rolls, pho and bun are all good. I like their high school special if I'm craving a rice dish and soup.

11/10 experience! Bestie and I grabbed dinner here after work on a Thursday and it was on and poppin! Busy place, busy staff but the food arrived to our table quick! and they gave us plenty of time to yap I had a veggie pho (my typical go-to) and bestie had a filet mignon pho. Both were super tasty! We also shared the pork and shrimp spring rolls (3 pc). They were a good size and the pho bowls were also huge! Great place and totally worth the wait. When we checked out, couldn't help but notice all the Christmas Cards that families have sent it. This place is definitely a family- oriented spot and a new fave!

Food 5/10 Not really anything to write home about. Food was editable but no where near the type of food/quality you can get at true Vietnamese communities like in Westminster, CA. Combo fried rice was HORRIBLE. Would not recommend ordering it. Pork and shrimp crispy wontons were okay, but I've definitely had better elsewhere. Crispy Vietnamese noodles was also okay. The sauce tasted lighter than usual and the toppings were meh (only had one shrimp, chewy meat, bad quality for squid, no mushrooms, no imitation crab meat like how it's usually supposed to have). Their saving grace though was the Banh Xeo, which is unfortunately only served Fridays and Saturdays. I kind of suspect this is because whoever knows how to truly cook Vietnamese food is only in restaurant those days. Service 1/10 Seat 'em, get their order, and forget 'em is the kind of mentally here. So if you're expecting for them to be checking up on you, you'll be disappointed. Ambiance 1/10 Typical low budget Vietnamese restaurant type of feel. Bare bones, not much decoration. Would I come here again? Probably not. I can get better quality/quantity with a quick drive down to Westminster. This spot only works if you're super lazy and don't want to drive down to Westminster or if you live in the area and you're super hungry, this will work in a pinch.

There are a lot of delicious pho spots in the area, but what makes them special is the owners & their dedication to providing warm & stellar service, maintaining cleanliness, & most importantly cooking delicious food. As soon as we entered we saw a sign saying you had to pay before being seated. Red flag!! Paying before you even had a taste of the food rang alarms in my head. Asking for a tip before service has even been rendered is the most ridiculous thing ever. Alot of places do this and it needs to be changed. Tip after services have been rendered. The workers here at least the 4 that I saw were all extremely young. They looked like they all belong in high school. They were very slow in anything they did. During my whole time here I the resturant the phone kept going off and they ignored it quite a few times. The inside of the resturant nice and clean, no complaints from me. My wife used their bathroom but the door did not lock so I had to stand outside which is annoying and not suitable for any ladies wanting to use the restroom. The food took quite a long time to come out. We sat down for awhile before the appetizers came out. 2 of us got the pho lunch special and it comes with a fried veggie eggroll. It took 15 minutes just to get 2 veggie spring rolls which were fresh and hot. When taking a bite out of them the inside was just mushy veggies and tasted like they were soaked in soy sauce. Then the spring rolls came out and they looked ok. After tasting they were decent. My only complaint about them is there wasn't enough peanut sauce, just a little dish not enough for all of our rolls. My wife ordered the combination fried rice. It came and it looked nice and hot. Upon tasting it for myself it tasted extremely salty. The proteins in it (Chinese sausage, shrimp, chicken) were almost inedible with the exception of the Chinese sausage. The shrimp was extremely over cooked and the chicken was cut thin and wide, like jerky and was just as dry as jerky. My FIL and I ordered the combination pho. The pho was extremely lackluster and was missing some components commonly in combo pho (pho dac biet) it was missing tendon, flank and meatballs (sometimes not always in pho dac biet) The meat to noodle ratio is extremely terrible, had at least 8 bites of noodles left and no more meat. The broth was so bland no flavor at all except for the over abundance of sweetness from the sugar. Being part vietnamese myself I love alot of pho whether its super delicious or just ok. This pho is not even in the "just ok" realm its terrible, its a disgrace to pho everywhere. Even if you are the type to put Hoison/Sriracha in the broth it will not save it. FIL says this place uses to be good but I guess things have changed since his last visit all those years ago. You could pick almost any other pho restaurant and I am 99.99% sure it would be better than here. If you value your time, money, and taste buds please stay clear of this place by any means necessary.

I had just told them that I was very picky about pho, especially recently. A lot of my go-to spots have been disappointing lately so I was craving a good bowl of pho - one that really hits the spot and Oh My Pho did just that. The moment we pulled into the parking lot I was like, "I have a good feeling about this place." I walked in and was immediately greeted with a deep aromatic smell of pho in the air. All 3 of us ordered their Pho Combination which has it all: Sliced brisket, sliced eye round, tripe, tendon, meatballs. We also ordered their shaken beef rice platter to share. Before digging into my bowl, I took a long deep smell of the broth as if I was taking the fattest bong rip known to mankind. It only got better from there though because the broth tasted as good as it smelled. Incredibly flavorful. All the flavors were balanced -- salty, sweet, umami. The noodles were cooked almost perfect (I like my noodles very al dente), but the doneness was definitely the kind that would suit everyone's preference. The shaken beef was delicious too. The meat was very tender and they mixed fries in which isn't typical/common, but it was really good! The rice was made perfectly too, at least to my preference. Only (minor) complaints were my bowl not being hot enough which is funny because I like my food cold, but certain things need to be piping hot like noodle soup. Also there wasn't very much meat in the shaken beef dish. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. I'm pretty far from OMP, but will definitely come back again soon with my friends since they're regulars here!
