It's not the worst AYCE, but not the best either. Weekends is their dinner price. I wouldn't go here again if I was looking specifically for quality fish, but for a good time out if people wanted to go. Some of the cuts - like the seared pepperfin tuna and the smoked salmon - were too thick, dry, and chewy. They also messed up our plate orders twice - one time giving smelt egg instead of tobiko, and another a the wrong kind of sushi. The staff was kind but seemed confused by the menu items. The amount of rice and fish was decent. The rice had a good amount of flavor. The presentation and atmosphere was nice overall, so no regrets even though I wasn't particularly awed. Honestly I'm here now with my family and I'm thoroughly disappointed. The food is good but to be ignored and get our waitress to glance at our table but never come by is disappointing. I've watched her serve tables that came in after us and she has made but one single stop at ours. Even when ordering our drinks, our initial appetizers (delivered by someone else) were brought out before our drinks hit our table. At least 15 minutes. For this level (or rather, lack of) service I would go to Narumi which is up the street. If I hadn't already ordered appetizers, we would have walked out already. And before it sounds like I'm being petty, we are regulars here and this is the worst service we have received. Even simple things, we asked for regular soy sauce instead of low sodium, she brought a bottle with enough for one person. She is literally doing every task EXCEPT for servicing our table. We haven't even been able to order rolls yet because she just does not seem to come. We've been here for 35 minutes and she has served a table that came in less than 10 minutes ago and has yet to glance at us. NO TIP. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO OTHERS ANYMORE. And while I previously overlooked the bad service because the food was good, I won't be coming back. -- and when she finally came over and we pointed out to her that we did not appreciate the lack of service she made excuses as though I'm not watching her in full view the entire time. Came here on a Friday night for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised by everything. The interior is very nice and clean. The staff were all friendly and quick to be of help. It felt like everyone came by to ask how we were liking the food and see if we wanted to order more food. The menu has a good variety of dishes and I loved that the dishes were in small portions so we were able to try a little bit of everything. The sashimi was so good and very fresh. We also really enjoyed the short ribs, tempura, fried udon and stuffed jalapenos. It was obvious that everything was freshly made and that they put thought and care into the presentaion. The rolls were decent and I appreciated that they weren't rice heavy. Overall this restaurant was really good and worth it. The sashmi was really fresh and there was no limit as to how much you could order each round. Some tips for coming is to order a lot of more food/items your first round becasue it does take them a while to bring the food and prep it. Especially when it comes to the rolls, my girlfriend basically waited about 20-25 miniutes for her first round of rolls to come out after we got seated. They're more faster with the sashimi but I still recommend ordering a lot the first round so you don't have to wait as much as I had to constantly flag the waiter over to try and place another order. Just wish that they were more faster with bringing out the food. Overall I would stick to the sashmi and beef short ribs becasue those were very tasty and you definitely get your moneys worth for sure. The salmon and yellowtail collar were good as well. Overall, I would definitely come back, but I hope they can fix the situation with how fast they can bring out the food due to only having a 90 minute time limit so that you're not there just waiting half the time.
