Porter T-bone steak with the creole topping. With mac and cheese and asked for our Brussel Sprouts extra crispy.

Why are we rating this place low?! I love this location. Of course I never come during peak times so I can enjoy the service and my food. For example: I made a reservation online for a Sunday evening and no wait. They sat me in the front secluded section and I was not forgotten about or ignored like most places. Cody was on point and super friendly. Our waitress Cody was so cool. She made the best recommendations and en enhancements on what we wanted. Best judgment as everything was perfection. We had: Porter T-bone steak (medium) with the creole topping. With mac and cheese and asked for our Brussel Sprouts extra crispy. Caesar salad, yes could have a little more dressing but it was still very good.

I've been to several Saltgrass locations, but these days, my parents prefer the one in The Woodlands. I wanted to take my parents to HRW, so I booked a reservation for a Sunday early evening. I'm so glad I did because it was packed. They were incredibly busy. So busy that they couldn't keep up with the utensils. It reminded me of The Bear. IYKYK. Natalie got us started with drinks and menus. Codie was our amazing server. She was on it and refilled my half and half tea without asking. This location worked like a well-oiled machine helping each other deliver plates and clean/pick up dishes as we finished each part of the HRW menu. As always, we started with the complimentary bread and butter. That's always a hit, but I ate just a small piece to save my appetite...or at least tried to. First course - My mom ordered the queso and tortilla chips. I like how they're cut in large rectangular strips, but some of the chips were stale and not crispy. The queso with the pico de gallo was good and had a nice spicy kick. The consistency was just right. I had the fried mushrooms with parmesan ranch. I always enjoyed their fried mushrooms. It was a decent size portion that was still shareable. My dad had the shrimp cocktail and really only ate that and not the greens in the cup. Second course - We had either the potato soup or tortilla soup. We all enjoyed it. I like the bits of potato among the pureed soup to give it texture. The potato is always cooked well and soft. Third course - My dad and I had the 12 oz. smothered ribeye cooked medium. It was topped with sautéed chopped mushrooms and onions and butter. It was cooked perfectly medium. You get to pick a side to accompany the protein, so we got mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a tad too salty. My mom had the blackened redfish topped with shrimp and got a side of herbed rice. We all liked the dishes, but we were so full that we took most of it home. Fourth course - Dessert time! I had the strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake, and my parents had the carrot cake with cream cheese. I asked for it to be boxed to take home. Codie boxed our meals for us and told me about the Landry's program. I really should do it. When you first sign up, it's $25. When you get 250 points, you get a $25 reward back on the card. You earn a point for every dollar spent. There are so many restaurants affiliated because it's also owned by Fertitta. I live and have been to a lot of them. There's also hotels that you can get discounts and earn points. I would've had $50 back from having been to Brenner's on the Bayou just 2 days before and at Saltgrass. On other visits, I've also had the Caesar salad and prime rib with horseradish sauce. It's all yummy. We will always be a fan of Saltgrass. It's a family friendly establishment.

This isn't the first time to this location and the bar always seems on the slow side. My wife and I sat at the bar and it took about 10 min to get drinks. It was busy, but with two bartenders it shouldn't take that long to at least be welcomed. It happened pretty much every time my wife and I need more drinks the 3 hours we were there. Another issue was the Texas Holdem red wine use to be on Happy Hour. I didn't see it as a choice on the menu but the bartender said it was on happy hour. It was not and later she didn't remember saying that so we paid full price. Which is fine if she would have just said that at the beginning. We ordered 3 appetizers this time and all were good and came out pretty quickly. The mozzarella cheese was really good. The happy hour menu is really good. We have had their steaks many times and they always come out great. We love coming here but they really need to work on the bartenders taking care of everyone not just their few favorites they stand around talking to.

We really enjoyed our date night meal here. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food all tasted great. We both enjoyed perfectly cooked and well seasoned steaks for our entree (ribeye and filet), the sides were also delicious (I loved the sweet caramelized tangy marinade on the Brussels sprouts), and the carrot cake dessert was a nice ending to the meal. The wine list was good too. The only downer for me was that our table was stuck in the center of a busy, brightly lit area, so the ambiance was definitely lacking. We would have loved a booth, but they were all taken. That said, we will definitely come again. All in all, this is a good value option for a nice steak meal.

First let me say I love Saltgrass and have been to many locations including this one. Very consistent when it comes to quality, service and friendly staff. Xmas eve with 6:45pm reservation, seated by 7:05pm not bad at all as I expected a wait of between 20-30 mins as it was very busy. Plenty of staff and very friendly. This location has plenty of parking and tables... Party of 5 and our food was perfect to order..our waitress was great too.

Our friends took us here straight from the airport for lunch. Conveniently located off the expressway, with plenty of parking, and were seated right away. A little dark inside the restaurant. Our server was friendly and very pleasant. Quick service. Bread was warm, soft, hint of sweetness, and delicious. Fried mushrooms not overly breaded and well seasoned. My 10 ounce rib-eye was huge!! Cooked perfectly to medium. Juicy and tender. Seasoned well. I had their Old Fashioned and it was just ok. I prefer mine on the slightly sweeter side and this one had too much bitters. I also prefer my Old Fashioned served with one large ice ball or ice cube and not nuggets of ice as presentation is key for me; and, using one large ice cube prevents it from tasting watered down. Overall, we had an enjoyable dining experience with friends and would definitely recommend.

Always a delight coming here but my steak was rare instead of medium rare. I ate it anyways because idc too much but just thought everyone should know. Service was great. Place is nice as always.

There was live music playing outside, but we chose to sit indoors that day. The hostess opened the front door right away to show us inside. My wife ordered the blackened flounder with two sides, southern green beans and the sweet potato cakes, because the server recommended it. I also went with the server's suggestions and ordered the Wagyu chicken fried steak with bacon jalapeno mac-n-cheese and jalapeno cream corn. It might not have been the healthiest choice, but I wanted to enjoy the evening. lol My wife really liked the blackened flounder. The green beans were a bit more overcooked than she liked, though. The chicken fried steak was outstanding and very tender. I liked that the delicious gravy came on the side so the steak stayed crispy. The sides were also outstanding. The GM (Glen, sp?) came to say hello because it was our first time there. I told him everything was wonderful and that we would come back. When we left, the hostess opened the door for us again without missing a beat. Great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere.

For the price, I expected something significantly better. Charging $14 for a slice of cake that tastes this average feels like a complete ripoff. I left disappointed and frustrated with the purchase and will not be returning. To make matters worse, they don't even accept tap-to-pay or Apple Pay. In 2026, that's an unnecessary inconvenience and shows a lack of investment in the customer experience. Between the overpriced, mediocre dessert and the outdated payment options, this was a thoroughly disappointing visit.

Just a handful of burgers, salads and bowls to select from. The house smash burger was ok. I liked the fries more than the burger. I asked our waiter if the charred steak mushroom "bow" was a steak because it said flat iron stead. He said yes and I said medium rare then. Well it's not steak in the traditional sense and it's not "bow". I thought it was bow like a bow tie. But now I think it's just a typo. The cubed Steak was well done. Not medium rare. And honestly I didn't see a single mushroom in my dish. Cake jar is lemon flavor. It was ok. Nothing special though. All in all I'd just go for the atmosphere. Or maybe after playing a round of golf and being tired and hungry, I'd be much more impressed.

I had never been to the previous address, but the interior design was so lovely we chose to sit at the new bar. Kady, the bartender (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was such a doll the whole time waiting us. She kept the chips (touch of louisiana we enjoyed) next to her for refills and made the most twisted hurricane I've had. Definitely walked out clinging to my man lol. We tried the crawfish dip which came with two types of bread, though both went amazing with it. I ordered the lobster ravioli with a side of hush puppies and my old guy ordered the lamb chops, well done, with gumbo (we don't eat pork) and stuffed shrimp. Everything was so damn great tasting. I mean, damned good tasting. My only flaw was the roux could've been a little thinner, but that is absolutely it. Fabulous timeeee and I'm so recommending.

And unlike many other places, they said this bar only allows 21 and older to dine in the bar area, which means only the outside for us. This being a cold (because of the wind) and cloudy morning. Sigh. Asked for a kids menu and was told it's only for 12 and under. Got the evil eye from the hostess when I said my kid qualifies. Then I offered to show them her ID and they backed off with smiles even. The complementary potato chips kind of tasted like Chips Oman. At least they weren't stale and it's a nice addition while you wait. The kiddo got the kids catfish which was just a pretty small piece of fish. Fries were good. Side fruit consisted of strawberries pineapple and red grapes. No drink included. Had to chase down the staff to get some tartar sauce. I wanted a Po Boy but was told they don't offer it on the weekends. Asked about beignets and was told it's only for dessert. Sigh. Decided to get the pork ribeye fricassee. The flavor was good but boy was it salty. Almost like they dropped a whole shaker of salt on it. Good thing there was some rice to counter the effect. Otherwise it would be inedible. So after our meal we had access to the desert menu and got a half order of beignets (4 pieces). They were ok. The dough on these is pretty thick though. Not sure if that's standard but I'd prefer light and fluffy. Soft opening was just the day before. So I think they're trying to find their stride. Water girl was on it though so kudos to her. Waiter was meh. Had to go in and fetch him a few times as they don't come outside much, especially when you're the only one out there. The bar area is small but the bartenders are nice. They have a sectioned off room in the back which might be good for a larger group. Place is kinda small overall though.

We did not sit there because it was hot. We sat indoors. It was just me and my child. Our waitress did not mention that kids (12 and under) eat free all day Mondays (and 10 am - 12 noon on weekends). I learned this from reading Google reviews after we had already ordered. After I asked, she confirmed the promotion and allowed us to add a kids meal since we had already ordered an adult entrée, which is the required condition. We ordered a kids' pizza. You can pepperoni for $1 but it's a free add on Mondays. Not gonna lie, pizza tasted off. Kid said it and I ignored her. Then I tried it and ack. We brought the rest home and stuck it in the fridge but it tasted even worse the next day. Tossed in trash. Service required frequent prompting. Like pulling teeth. I had to ask about the drink included with the kids meal. And yes Milk is an option. I also had to ask about the cookie that is supposed to come with the meal. We did not receive one. She said they had chocolate chip only as oatmeal and sugar cookies were gone. I said fine. We never got anything. So I went to the take out stand and we were told they were out of cookies. But they offered us a small brownie instead. Unfortunately however it contained nuts. For an appetizer, we ordered the cast iron spinach artichoke dip. The chip‑to‑dip ratio was not balanced. We ran out of chips way before the dip was gone. We also ordered the cast iron skirt steak (yes lots of cast irons). I requested medium rare. It arrived medium well and slightly tough however. You'd think they could easily tell this since they slice it all up before serving. It was not seasoned, but presumably that is because it is intended to be used with the chimichurri sauce provided. No salt on the tables. Overall, the experience and the food were marginal and borderline acceptable, but definitely unremarkable. Service is another story however. She was nice, just not very good at her craft.
