Pretty disappointed. We ordered a bbq chicken pizza for lunch today. Although there was a lot of chicken, it was pretty dry/overcooked. The pizza dough was pretty tough and hard to chew. AND, I've never seen bbq chicken pizza without red onions. I was really missing it and had to chop up my own. This is a real good spot in the Cary area for pizza. My old man lives in town and this is where we go for pizza. The staff is great. We were the annoying customer once for getting a half and half pizza (my dad, not me of course) and they didnt have a problem and made it up just for us. Pizza is always good. Are they high? Based on the positive reviews, we decided to try this place as we are new to the area. Twice, we ordered delivery. The first time we ordered, we did so through their online ordering portal. The confirmation said 45 minutes; after one hour, we called in fear that the order never went through. They said someone was on the way and we finally got our food after an hour and 15 minutes. We decided to give it another go. Ordered over the phone, very clearly stated the order twice to the guy. AGAIN we waited about an hour and 15 minutes, only to find that they messed up our order royally. After calling, they apologized and offered to deliver the correct items. They asked if we wanted a credit or the correct food. My husband requested both, which they honored. For the correct order, he said it would be 45 minutes. After one hour, the delivery came and --LUCKILY-- my husband checked the bag real quick only to find the wrong food AGAIN. He ran out, and the delivery guy had accidentally given him the wrong bag. SMH. Food is OK. Slices are small. Unfortunately, service sucks. Bottom line, their 45 minutes equals over 1 hour. read more

Blah. First time trying Salvios. A sad disappointment after reading reviews. We had it delivered (speedy advertised, reality slow -1 hour). It arrived lukewarm and that's being generous. The toppings must have been for a 12" pizza rather than the 16" we ordered. The crust was 2" all around making it look like a 12" pizza dropped onto a 16" crust. If there was extra cheese, we were thankful to have ordered it that way or it would have been really lacking cheese. The toppings were weirdly placed, uneven as lol get out, leaving a plain cheese piece in the midst of a 4 topping pizza. To sum it up - an hour to deliver lukewarm, flavorless, overly crusted, underly topped, blah sauced excuse for New York pizza. We won't be ordering from Salvios again. read more

I would give 3.5 stars if i could. We have ordered food from here a few times. They have lots of food options pasta, salad, wings, pizza, subs and much more. I like the cheese pizza the best the specialty pizzas were ok. Crust is a bit chewy. Our Italian sub was great, wings were good (i love that they will mix ranch with blu cheese), mozzarella sticks were good but the marinara sauce was bland. Online ordering available. Salvios is a disgrace to Italian Pizza. I wish that I could remove the waste that Salvios put into my body. Their pizza tastes very much like cardboard. I do not know if it was the amount of pizzas that I ordered that made the quality decrease or if it was the lack of effort that their employees showed. When I walked into Salvios the employees did not greet me but instead proceeded doing their tasks. I waited longer than they had told me it was gonna take. These guys are great! We just moved here from NY and have had a really hard time finding really good Italian food in the greater RTP area. We tried Salvio's online ordering for delivery and it was super easy. It showed up on time, the delivery guy was SO nice (even pet the dogs while we signed the receipt), and the food was absolutely delicious. A little while later, we realized they had forgotten to include a small item in our order, so I called them and, even though they were closed at that time, they ran a brand new order out for us and included extra cheesecake to make up for the inconvenience. Salvios has gone done hill in recent months, not sure why. Maybe they have new people making their pizzas? When we first moved here three years ago Salvios was the only place we would get pizza, it was excellent. Now it is horrible! I have given them 5 tries!! Each time saying never again but then hoping maybe this time it'd be better. Their crust is not very tough and like cardboard (before it was soft, fluffy), the sauce is tasteless and cheese seems like something you would get at a bowling alley. My boyfriend and I ordered food for pick-up for the first time at Salvio's. He ordered a buffalo chicken pizza Stromboli and I ordered a chicken Parmesan Stromboli. We also chose cinnaballs and tiramisu for dessert. Well, first off, we received calzones, not Strombolis. My boyfriend didn't open the box before he left and by that time we were too hungry to go back. Secondly, there was too much dry, doughy crust and hardly any sauce or flavor. The tiramisu was the worst I've ever had. It tasted like it was mostly whipped cream and as if there was not a smidge of marscapone cheese or espresso in it. I'm Italian and grew up eating tiramisu and this isn't what it should taste like. For the cost of their foods, we expected more. We will not be eating there again. read more

For the past year or so I have been getting pizza and sometimes wings from Salvio's. I enjoyed the NY style pizza and the garlic parmesan wings on several occasions. Last night, after working out of state for 5 days and driving over the road to get home, I needed a meal didn't have to cook. I called them about 7:20 pm. Pizza and wings arrived on time about 8 pm, give or take. We ate the wings first. The garlic parmesan wings were dried up, no sauce, and 2 of them looked like they had been reheated several times, all hard and tough. In addition, I paid for 10, and got 8, so only 6 were edible. Then, the pizza just wasn't good this time! Crust was all hard and chewy like cardboard, and the unsauced crust was about 3" deep into the pizza all around! It was so disappointing. We ate half the pizza because we were hungry and beat and it was getting late. We decided to call, hoping maybe they could give us a future pizza, due to this experience . I was very nice, after all, I had LOVED this pizza place and wanted to keep it that way. They said the only thing they could do for us was to send out another pizza. We said that that wouldn't work as we did not want pizza coming to our home after 9pm. Could we just have it sometime in the future??? Couldnt they write it down or put it in the computer? They said no. We asked for the manager, and he was rude, unapologetic, and uncooperative. We finally got angry, and my husband said, fine, we will be leaving negative reviews. The manager then accused us of BLACKMAIL, and said we were on a recorded line! What the heck??? I was astounded. I wasn't asking for my money back. I called and was very pleasant, wanting my favorite pizza place to keep on being my favorite pizza place. It turned into a fiasco. But the bottom line is that I was the customer, and the customer is always right. You should never be rude to customers. He should have made it right, so I would continue to be a customer.
