4.5 stars. I live around the corner so I'm in here all the time. The food is great, particularly the quesadillas. I wouldn't count on finding any groceries that you want, but that's not the goal here, these folks are running a restaurant now, and between locals, workers, cops and Yankee fans, they're doing a hell of a business. They are trying to still be a little bit of a corner store, selling little odds and ends, chips and candy, etc., surely for the income. But in transitioning into a restaurant, they also have 9 or 10 tables in the place. They are unfortunately in such a small space, that I think they should choose one or the other, that is, eat-in dining or groceries. I passed this place for years going to yankee stadium, and finally decided to go in this summer. Was very good and I will go again before games. Authentic enough to be interesting, but also comfortable for a gringo who speaks practically no Spanish. My son got grilled chicken and fries, and I had huevos Mexicana. Both very solid. Mexican soccer games entertained us while we waited. Only negative is service is a bit slow, so allow yourself an hour if you need to make a game. read more

On the corner of East 153rd st and River Ave near the Bronx Yankee Stadium Garage... this amazing small gem of a deli in the Bronx is owned by really nice, chill guys who really care about what you want to buy. They serve meals, have snacks, and even some beers at awesome low prices. This deli is a must go-to if you want to have some great food, snacks, or even somewhere to grab something for yourself. This use to be a favorite spot but after today I will never step in this place again..... due to the language differences I always point to what I want so that there is no mistakes,today was no different so I pointed the QuesaBirria and said no tomatoes food was made I went home and noticed I had a burrito I went back to Explain the mistake in broken English she claimed she watched the video in less than 5 mins and said that wasn't what I pointed to since i didn't want an broken English argument... I said fine just make what I want and I will just pay the difference or I'm fine with paying in full for what I want . She goes to the back I was assuming to place my new order but she calls the manager/owner ( I was wondering why the cooks was staring at me weirdly) she came back ,opens the return burrito spoke on the phone again and turns to me I asked what do I owe you she saids "sorry no return" slides the food I didnt want back to me .I say ok fine I will pay for what I really wanted she said "no sorry we no make that either " I told her she has lost an faithful customer! I ate here 1-2 a week and order the same 2 things every time ! I supported throughout the pandemic the old counter girl was so nice .... GOTTTA REP FOR DA BRONX! This is by far best small mexican restaurant in bronx walking distance from yankee stadium. They have traditional stuff like quesidalla burritos enchiladas as well as some Mexican specials. But not only does it take great price is cheaper then going to McDonald's for most dishes. The food is amazing, the staff are helpful and portions are big. Prices are cheap. The mole is spicy and the beans are delicious.

Wonderful mexican food and an okay grocery selection. I love their omelettes and quesadillas but if you're hungry then try their flautas. The mole and mushroom dishes are wonderful. They have great coffee and the wait staff is friendly. Sometimes the music is too loud, I think they've been keeping it at a reasonable volume lately. I haven't ordered for delivery so I can't comment on that, but getting something to go generally works out well if you don't want to eat at the shop. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Food was okay, but the service was terrible. Waited an hour for the food and the orders were all wrong. The prices didn't make sense. My friend ordered the French toast and they gave him pancakes. When he asked why he got the wrong order, they said no. Bacon was as hard as rock, fries were undercooked. Probably better if you order in Spanish or if you order non-breakfast. read more

I've eaten in this deli/ restaurant several times and let me tell you they never disappoint me! It's been recently expanded so there is more seating area. It's much more spacious and family friendly. I always order the same thing; torta de milanesa de pollo con todo. That's a chicken cutlet sandwich with everything on it but the Mexican style, and it's so delicious! This time however I ordered for breakfast Chilaquiles con carne enchilada extra crispy. Ok let me tell you why this is a big deal, I don't eat chilaquiles at restaurants, I only eat my mother in laws chilaquiles. And when I found that a resturant can make this dish just like hers, my brain exploded into little pieces. Ok I'm over exaggerating, but seriously it was amazing! My daughter had the pancakes with bacon and they were so fluffy. I will definitely be coming back for more breakfast dishes and I've already recommended this place to all my friends and family! Just went here for lunch as I work just across the street. I 100% recommend this place to everyone! I'm from Los Angeles and these are the best and most authentic tacos I've had since I've moved here a little over 2 years ago! I ordered 2 al pastor tacos and they were juicy and nicely spiced. Some of the best "al pastor" tacos I've had in New York!!! I'm Mexican from California and have such a difficult time finding good Mexican food in New York, this place is great! They took forever to bring the menu and the restaurant wasn't even that full. They serve those who came after I did, they didn't even bother to check up if I had a menu or not. This place is the most dependable delivery option in the area. They always deliver within the timeframe they suggest and the food is always hot. It is unfortunate that I cannot give them a higher review. My co-workers and I have been going to/ordering from this deli for a while now (being that we work across the street). The food is usually really good, prices are great as well... However, the service is bad & when delivering from here, you'd better be bilingual because it seems as though they don't listen to instructions properly. They not only messed up my tea and were CERTAIN they got it right [customer obviously isn't right as far as they're concerned], but the young Latina that works in There/takes orders, argued with me about how she was sure she got it right AND I came in person another time but she refused to compensate me. [Everhwhere else would try to offer SOMETHING]. My coworker didn't get utensils or condiments at all. They argue with their customers instead of appeasing them and if there were stores as close as they are, we would've stopped patronizing them long ago. read more

The food was good. I enjoyed my cemita even though they gave it to me on torta bread. The carnitas was not what I am used to since I am from California and it is made differently. The reason for the low rating is because the delivery guy was a jerk! He yelled at me because I did not answer my phone right away. He DIDN'T ring the door bell. Isn't that a part of delivery 101? Shouldn't you attempt to ring the bell before you call? Then he made me feel like crap because he said he was waiting for over 20 minutes.
