Had a wonderful lunch here! The restaurant has a cozy Japanese atmosphere, and everything we ordered was fresh and beautifully presented. Our favorites were the Osaka sashimi platter, sweet shrimp sushi, and the Energy Roll. The spicy seafood udon was also flavorful and comforting. Friendly service, great quality, and definitely worth visiting if you're in the Long Beach area

I ordered takeout. Yakisoba noodles with chicken. The food was well packaged, huge portion and tasted good. I would order from them again.

Great selection with the new menus and great service. Got the iced yuzu ade which was nice and refreshing. Had the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the katsu sando and both were very yummy. The fried rice was also very tasty. The osaka sashimi was fresh a d delicious and came with a miso soup. Overall had a great experience and I would definitely come back. Parking was easy with the big lot and there were clean restrooms.

This place is so yummy! They have such insane flavors, and unique rolls. They have deals like buy one get one half off, but overall so good! Definitely coming back!

My updated review! Good service and decent pricing. I got the chirashi bowl and my husband got the 3 item combo. The chirashi bowl was delicious and had the right amount of fish to rice ratio. The 3 item combo had a variety to choose from and looks fulfilling. My husband didn't finish his and was able to take some to go. Service was good. Server came to check once in a while. Also, the ambiance looks nice and decorated. Overall, would come back again.

The food here is exceptional, and the sushi is consistently fresh and full of flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant also has a warm, slightly romantic ambiance that makes it a great spot for a date night or a relaxing meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While the service could be more welcoming, as the staff can sometimes come across as less friendly despite being attentive, the outstanding quality of the food more than makes up for it. Even after experiencing less-than-ideal service, I returned because the sushi is simply that good. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high-quality, fresh sushi in a great atmosphere.

Came here on a whim. Historically heard good things about this place. Came in on a busy Monday evening. But service was fast. Although it didn't come out all at the same time, it came one after another. And we have no one bad thing to say about the food. Every dish hit the spot. The server was nice and knowledgeable. The ordertaker (different from the server) complimented our choices and that they were top sellers. Highly recommend this spot! Will return any try other things on the menu!

My go-to sushi spot in LB! They have so many menu options and good happy hour deals. My favorite rolls are the baked salmon and honey moon rolls. Sooo good! Plenty of appetizer options as well - their calamari and zucchini are tasty! Friendly service, chill ambiance, and plenty of seating whether you want a table or to sit at the bar.

We came to Boracay for the weekend and decided to try Sapporo Sushi--and it turned out to be a great choice! From the presentation to the flavors, you can really feel the chef's attention to detail. Some of the highlights we ordered: Toro Tartare with Truffle ($15) - Rich aroma of truffle, absolutely indulgent in every bite. Salmon Mini Donburi ($12) - A petite salmon rice bowl, beautifully assembled and perfect for smaller appetites. Truffle Unagi ($17.95) - Grilled eel with truffle, a true luxury upgrade. Mana Katsuo Saikyo-Yaki ($9) - Grilled bonito with a touch of sweetness in the sauce, very flavorful with rice. Sukiyaki Beef Udon ($21.95) - A big, comforting pot of beef udon in sukiyaki broth, generous portion of beef and a hearty soup base. Sushi Rolls we tried: Smelt Egg SU ($5.95), Dragon Roll ($16.50), Captain America ($18.95), Baby Rockstar Roll ($16.50), and Salmon SU ($6.95). Each roll had its own character--highly recommend the Captain America Roll for its layers of flavor. Presentation was stunning--every dish came out like a piece of art, with details like truffle slices, caviar, and edible flower petals. Definitely a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Total bill: $155.51 for 4 people (~$39 per person). For such refined Japanese food, I'd say the value is pretty solid!

my first time here and the quality was good! the rolls and big. my personal fav is the yummy roll. we also liked their deal of buy a chef roll get one half off. we finished the meal with udon and it was delicious. I loved all the toppings I just wish there was more soup. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was very cute and it made we feel like I was in Japan.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] service was okay nothing to write home about. I would come here again if I didn't want ayce.

Come here with a brunch of friends and we all love it. The decoration was pretty nice and felt like I was in Japan. They have specials for either special rolls or alcohol and great place for drinking. I love the truffle tuna roll and it's a good portion. They can order the cold dishes for 2 pieces special which we love it. The service was great and totally recommended.

    Lisa F.

We decided to give Sapporo another try. We eat sushi at least once a week. We are not into rolls anymore, so sushi can be tricky for us. We started with Eel hand roll and spicy tuna hand roll. They were more like tacos, but overall taste was good. Fried zucchini was good and well proportioned. Deep fried oysters were just ok. I think they sat in the window too long, because they weren't hot when we got them. We did get 2 rolls and they were just ok. Our service though was terrible. Place wasn't busy but we hardly saw our server. I can't say it's a place we will come back to.

Unfortunately, we were placed at a small corner table where several mosquitoes were flying around, and both of us were bitten multiple times during our meal. We originally ordered the butter scallops and the hamachi kama (yellowtail collar), but were told they were sold out, so we had to order something else instead. The food quality was good, and the appetizers came out promptly. However, my chicken teriyaki never arrived while we were eating. After we had finished our meal, I flagged down another waitress to cancel the order and ask for the check. A few minutes later, I noticed my chicken teriyaki had been delivered to the wrong table before it was eventually brought to ours. The biggest issue was the service. Our original waitress never checked on us, asked how everything was, or offered drink refills. I had to flag down another waitress for drink refills, and she was the only one who was attentive. I still left a tip because of the other waitress who helped us, but overall the poor service overshadowed the good food. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

A really nice young woman who rang me up and handed me my bag of goods. When I got home, I was pleased to see that they had separated the Katsu from the curry sauce, so my meat didn't end up being soggy. Their curry sauce is different from most curry houses. There are some herbs in it that I can't put my finger on, but I love it because it's not like any of the others. Chicken was juicy and rice was fluffy. I also like their kizami ginger which had a nice solid crunch. Even though it took me a while to pick up my food, it was still nice and warm when I sat down to eat it. Did anyone come over to acknowledge it? Nope. We just sat there watching the host staff do absolutely nothing with urgency. But okay, we were starving, so we stayed. We ordered big -- like, embarrassingly big, probably 80% of the menu plus sake -- because we wanted to give this place a real shot. And look, some of it was actually great. But some of it was not edible. Not "not my taste," not edible. So we sent those dishes back, which is a completely normal thing to do at a restaurant that charges these prices. What happened next genuinely shocked me. The chefs took it as a personal attack. Rude comments, visibly annoyed, staring us down from the kitchen for the rest of the meal. We couldn't even enjoy the good food because the whole vibe became hostile. It were so uncomfortable that we honestly just wanted to leave. $350. That's what we spent. And we left feeling like we ruined someone's night by simply expecting edible food. The disappointment isn't even about the dishes it's the attitude from the front staff all the way back to the kitchen. You can train a team. You can't teach humility, and you damn sure can't teach someone to care. Do not recommend.

Each dish is an 8/10 or better. I would gate keep this place if I could, but many who don't know that good Japanese Cuisine is not just limited to sushi.
