This place is messed up, the bouncer assaulted me on pride. Ive been going here for years, and it's not a great club but now...it's messed up. I was more drunk than usual, and I threw up in line at the bathroom, some dude got mad cause it got on his shoes, he went and got the bouncer, I didn't know it was a bouncer I thought it was someone attacking me, I pushed him off and he pushed me on the ground and dragged me outside, then the bouncers wouldn't let me back in and I thought the guy had stolen my wallet but he didn't. Crazy night don't think i ever want to go back there. Im a gay transguy so the idea of getting attacked is not far from my mind. Also I am recovering from a back injury which this dude aggravated, not to mention I have bruises on my arms and knees from where this bouncer grabbed me and threw me to the ground, and dragged me 30 feet across the floor. It's one thing to ask a drunk dude to leave the bar and at least allow him to close his tab and get his credit card, something else entirely to suddenly grab a customer and drag them out of the club because of getting sick on the floor. read more

Love love love love LOVE this place! It's the newest club to Honolulu but it's STILL the best place to be!!! Hot gogo boys, cheap drinks and great music! This club is fun, but they refuse to give you water. I brought an empty water bottle and they would not fill it up with water. Paying $15 to get in and being refused water is unacceptable. Don't go here if you want access to necessary resources. The bathroom water is not fresh. read more

Came here for a bachelorette party. First of all, LOVE the music! Second of all, the drag show was awesome and they call up anyone who is celebrating any special occasion up to the stage to get a shot of Fireball. Also loved the mixed drinks! Scarlet has always been a fun night out for my wife and I until we noticed that the entry cost went up to $15 for "Special Events". However, the last few times that we went, there weren't any special event going on so the $30 is not worth going in. It's not even as packed as it used to be to even be worth it anymore. Between the cover charge and the long ass lines for the restrooms and people being other attendees being rude, we'd rather spend our money elsewhere. read more

My partner and I adore everything about this new gem in Honolulu. The staff are all friendly and make you feel right at home. Oh and they're hot too. In fact, everything about this place is hot. Some of the most fun I've ever had in China Town. Our bartender Cody was warm, welcoming and such a charmer! Went here on a Saturday night to celebrate a friends bday. The guy at the door checking IDs was the BIGGEST D BAG! Completely ruined our night out. He was very disrespectful when I gave him my ID and told me to "cut the attitude" because I turned to see if my friend was next to me. What attitude??? He was completely delusional and acted like he was a cop doing a check point at the door. To add to that, the young female at the register was also extremely rude and gave an attitude to my friend when she asked what the cover charge was. $15 to be treated like a second class citizen and listen to terrible music. The manager needs to have a talk with the staff and re-evaluate how he hires people. It's obvious the workers hate their jobs based on how they treat paying customers. I definitely won't be coming back here and will be telling everyone I know to stay away from this sorry excuse of a club. read more

Had the best time in a long time at this club! Amazing go-go dancers and performances all night. Especially loved the upper deck performance stage and burlesque show with drapes from the ceiling. Gay or straight, I promise you will have a blast and be entertained. DJ was incredible. Everyone was dancing by 11pm on Friday night (first Friday). Drinks were reasonable with friendly bartenders. Ample seating that wasn't VIP. Bathrooms were clean. Place was adequately cooled for the amount of people there. I definitely will return. And had such an awesome time!! Mahalo! read more

Piss poor bartenders, very overcrowded, and the same repetitive music everytime. You'd be better off going to any other club. The bartenders tend to ignore you unless your the kind of guy they are into. They also suck at making drinks. The place is regularly filled over compacity which is a fire hazard and gets very hot with all those bodies. The DJ will play about 30 seconds of a song and abruptly switch to a screaching techno beat constantly. All the music is the same everytime I've been and its all 2 years or older. Save yourself the cover charge and go somewhere with more opportunity for a good club experience. read more

I use to LOVE coming to Scarlet not only as a great bar/club scene but as a supporter to the LGBTQ community. The music has always been great although on the loud side, but that never bothered me. Long story short, I drunkenly forgot to tip the bartender because I for some reason assumed that he had already taken his tip. So when I got my change back, and put it all back in my wallet he told me to go f*** myself. At first I was really confused but realized my error and then upon trying to rectify the situation he continued to be extremely rude and use profanity towards myself and my friends. I left a tip for him with another bartender but looking back on his unprofessionalism he didn't even deserve my tip to begin with. Secondly, you're dealing with DRUNK people dude so you have to realize the error of their ways are not usually intentional. I'm not going to let one bad apple spoil the bunch but on top of weird music and weird vibes the place is not what it use to be that's for sure. read more

The place is great IF you are going there for the first time but if you go as much as me and my friends did you are gonna notice that they dj there plays the same songs all the time to a point where we would know what song would come on next. Thats why we stopped going to scarlet, everything else there is great! The people, the drinks and the shows! All that on point! On Saturday 11-04-2017 was my first and probably my last time at this establishment. The shows were great but 5 shots and 2 beers that came out to $75 was a bit pricey. That wasn't the worst part. I ordered my drinks from the first bartender (young, slim Caucasian with a bun on his head). I didn't bring enough cash so I placed it on my credit card which I put "zero" on the tip but gave a $10 and a $1 bill as tip. Told the first bartender to hold my drinks while I go get my friends. When I came back another guy (tattoo wings on his back) complained about their "zero" tip so i tried explaining that I gave cash because I dont want anyone forging a wrong amount of tips on my card. First bartender complained about his $$$$ cash tip so I decided to give a few bucks more. He then took the tips and told me to go to other bartenders. Listen, you're not whipping up a meal. Gratuity was there. Rude and ungrateful! Not worth going there. read more

So I go to Scarlett's a decent amount of times, everytime it's a friends birthday we usually get bottle service. So we got bottle service lastnight once again per usual, the guy that usually is our bottle service guy is Michael. Depending how you look he will treat you different, now I understand everyone has long days and I'm sure how hard it is to be a bottle service person. But lastnight I ordered 2 bottles for my friend, I'm the type of person that will tip you at the end of the night. I closed out my card cause I prefer to pay cash to keep track of what I spend, so when I closed out my bill for the bottle service he had the audacity to come back with the check and tell me "excuse me I don't know who you think you are but your not gonna not tip me and flys the book at my lap". Let me tell if you if he had patience I woulda tipped him extremely well at the end of the night, He also told us its getting too busy you guys need to go and head to the bar for your own drinks. I have never in my whole entire life experience such rude service I will not be going back there at all and that bottle service boy shouldn't ever be seen by me cause I will go off! read more

Awesome and maybe the best gay club in honolulu. The only bad thing is that the music is extremely loud. A lot of people said so as well.
