Schnitzel salad is so yummy. Usually packed, but they do their best to take care of you. Staff is nice and helpful.

This restaurant is ABSOLUTELY disgusting and so are its workers. I use to go there a lot despite the fact that the food is bland. This past Saturday night I went there and after I ordered I went to use the restroom. As I was in there, I looked to the side and realized the window was opened a bit. One of the workers was staring inside. I was never more petrified in my life. Afterwards, I went up the other employees and complained. They mocked me, and did not take me seriously. I would have not noticed the window if I had not turned my head, so I am sure this has been going on without the costumers knowing for a long time. This is sexual harassment. I was so traumatized and violated, but worst of all was the reaction of the employees to the situation. Ok, so I have been here many times and usually thrilled. Last Monday night was such a disappointment. Although I usually order their yummy sandwhichs, I only ordered a side of rice this time. The food itself is good and usually service is good, but my last vist the service was terrible. I ordered just a side of rice and took 25 minutes to get it. Granted, they were on busy side but that's not excuse. Especially because I saw 6 customers who ordered food AFTER me get their food first. It was kinda like the employees prepare orders as they want, not as they come in. I sent the store feedback about this on their website and no one got back to me. Get how about a simple email to apologize ? Something? The management obviously doesn't care because they must think I'm just one customer. Ew. I expected the buffalo shnitzle to taste like buffalo wings but it doesn't at all. It tasted like the chicken was only coated in honey and didn't have the least bit of spice. The shnitzle itself did not taste fresh and actually made me sick to my stomach. And I agree, the staff was rude and the food overpriced. Definitely not worth the money or the calories!! read more

This place has very good food and the scenery is ok. Most of the time you have a place to sit and that is something that most restaurants do not guarantee. If you do decide to come, then make sure to come right when it opened on shabbat. read more

As I walked in the store I was politely greeted by the store cashier. She was able to take my complicated order with ease and she speaks Hebrew so the conversation was good. Food tastes amazing and had it within a reasonable amount of time. Overall I rate this place 5/5 and recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

My friends and I came to Schnitzly to enjoy a nice meal and instead we left angry and disgusted. We have never experienced such terrible customer service and rudeness from anywhere before. My friend ordered a meal and it came RAW. Not realizing it was RAW she had eaten a piece, We thought it was just one, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and cut all the chicken open to see if it was raw. And to our surprise the chicken was pink. We asked for a new plate, and kindly they had no problem switching it. My friends spent the whole dinner throwing up in the bathroom. And they switched our meal with the wrong order and burnt chicken. We then asked for a refund in the kindest way explaining how my friend got sick and was throwing up. The lady had the audacity to answer me saying that it's her fault for tasting her own meal. And that it's not the restaurants fault for giving us raw food. I had never seen such disrespect and a lack of costumer service. I guess "the customer is always right," everywhere except for Schnitzly. read more

They ran my credit card at 3:10 PM according to the receipt they gave me. I asked if I could have my 11 year old collect our order while I stepped back to the car to make a phone call. THIRTY MINUTES LATER, the incredibly rude SA behind the counter told me that I wasn't the only one waiting. 'There are people in the dining room who haven't been served yet, either!' he barked at me. Customer DIS-service, more like! Add to that a heap of disgust when, upon reaching my home in San Diego, I discover that the styrofoam containers holding our wraps are easily TWICE as long as the food item inside! What a rip-off!!! Seriously the best burger ever. Unbelievable, amazingly yum! The new owner, Chaim transformed this restaurant. It's classy, homemade, fast food! Homemade hamburger buns, high quality lean beef with phenomenal seasoning with yes, actual romaine lettuce, delicious fresh avocado, tomatoes. Yummy salad with romaine lettuce, bell peppers, parsley, olive oil, lemon, seasonings... can special order whatever you want. I could go on and on raving about this place. After waiting for 30 min I had to ask where my food was. Turns out they forgot to make it for that long despite my order sitting directly next to all the other orders. Everyone has bad days but I've regularly had my food ready after people who have ordered after me. I've returned because the food is decent, but this was the straw that broke the camels back. Not solid enough relative to the wait you can normally expect regardless of whether there's a long line. If you do go, the Buffalo one is good. read more

If you are looking for good schnitzel, this is the place! SUPER clean (I am slightly OCD) , surprisingly nice restaurant decor and the food was really good. My husband had a schnitzel wrap which he loved and I had schnitzel nuggets with seasoned fries. VERY yum. Also their sauces are really good and the portions are huge! The customer service is below ZERO. I order to go and spend over $200, I asked for grilled onion on the side instead of inside my sandwich, when I get to work I realized they gave a very very small container . I was able to count the pieces. Also when I placed the order i told them I will be picking up in an hour to make sure the food is fresh and hot. When I picked up my order the food were supper cold and the sandwiches were soggy. Will never go back there. read more

The food here is delicious! Cannot get enough of the buffalo schnitzel baguette. Had to give only 4 stars because they never listen to what you say you want in your sandwich. We love this place. It's normally busy when we come in and there are lots of teens that hang around but everyone is enjoying themselves. I normally get the buffalo schnitzel salad with garlic mayo dressing and all the veggies. This salad is massive but o so yummy!! I can never finish but I'm happy to take it home to munch on later. This is genuinely my new favorite food place in all of California, possibly my favorite food place anywhere. The staff was unbelievably kind and helpful, the restaurant itself was very clean and designed very well, and the food was incomparable to any other schnitzel I have ever tasted. Disappointing! My friend and I were craving Schnitzel on a Sunday and decided to try Schnitzly based on Yelp reviews. We are regulars at Habayit, where I have been eating schnitzel for around 20 years. Unfortunately, Habayit is closed from Friday night until Monday. Habayit's schnitzel plate is my baseline for this review. Schnitzly does not compare to Habayit on any level. In my opinion, the schnitzel at Schnitzly was too thick and the breading was too heavy. The schnitzel was dry on the inside, greasy on the outside and left me feeling stuffed and bloated. Similarly disappointing was the schug, which lacked flavor and freshness. The Israeli salad was also flavorless, and the French fries were average at best. My friend described the Garlic schnitzel as "tasting like an expensive McChicken sandwich." On the positive side, the kosher coleslaw was good and the price is about $6.00 less than Habayit for a Schnitzel plate. Service? You order at the counter and have to guess whether the plates that show up on the counter are yours or another customer's. The guys at the counter didn't even know what schug is or if they had it. As far as ambiance, the restaurant was full of kids under the age of 5, many of whom were loud and unruly. Schnitzly is not a place for a relaxing meal. I have to conclude that the Yelp reviewers who gave Schnitzly 5 stars have not had really good schnitzel. From now on, I am limiting my Schnitzel consumption to Monday through Friday at Habayit. Neither my friend or I intend to return to Schnitzly, and I am going to have to reassess my reliance on Yelp reviews of restaurants. Note to owner: the tablet PC's mounted on the wall above the bar/counter are an attractive nuisance. They are mounted too high for the young kids who kneel on the bar stools and lien perilously over the counter to play with games on the tablets. In my opinion, its only a question of time before a kid does a face plant off a bar stool. read more
