It was one of the few times I've had pad thai and mango sticky rice so I can't really compare it to anything that I know is authentic. Absolutely wonderful. An adorable spacious gem that is hidden in the shopping plaza. The inside is clean and nicely lit and they also have an outdoor seating area (where we chose to sit and loved). My cousin and I both got the bahn mi. I got the heritage pork and she got the beef one. Wow!!!! SO TASTY and surprisingly super filling!! I love SEAK but today was so annoying I asked for a booth and we had three people. The seating guy put as right next to table which behind us was full and eating. Forget about a booth, which there plenty available up front. I requested to change tables to one ahead. The server had to clean it and whatever we moved. But lo and behold the people in front of us. They were just two and they had a whole booth. Why the server put us with a pretty empty place for lunch right next to a full table. Where there were other tables not adjacent to a full table. Like the one we moved to. And we are regular lunch customers here, they know we have laptops and when there are 3 booths in the front that are empty, not give us one. Definitely wanted to give SEAK their props during the pandemic. I had never been to the restaurant before but it was always on my to do list. During the pandemic I was craving a good soup. SEAK became my go to spot. I got the Tom Yum Soup with shrimp. Omg it was sooo good. The broth was spicy and flavorful. It came with a good amount of large shrimp and vermicelli noodles. I was impressed by the packaging because the broth was separate and they had all of the toppings for the soup separate as well. It made for an easy transition. I've also had the chili salted chicken wings which were amazing and the beef and avocado summer rolls which are a must.. They also had curbside pick up which made things easier on the go. What an amazing place, I'm so glad I finally stopped in! From the outside, it looks like a small corner restaurant in a mini-mall, but it's actually fairly large inside and has an awesome cultural vibe to it. We couldn't stop staring at the wall and the beautiful views of NYC! The minute I walked inside I noticed this unique looking bar with neon writing on chalkboards and unusual bar stools. I felt like I was in another country. Pretty cool! Although the place is BYOB, they do serve some amazing non-alcoholic beverages. More on that in a second. Regarding the food, they do a special lunch menu during the week from 11 am to 3 pm, but we were there on a Sunday, so we snagged a few items from their regular menu. I started off by asking about their Thai iced teas and bubble teas. I ended up with the black sesame tea which was unlike anything I have ever tasted before. It was delicious! Creamy, and sweet, with a nice sesame taste at the end. Yum. You definitely don't need a dessert if you order one of these drinks. They are super filling! For dinner, we split the grilled garlic shrimp summer rolls and each ordered a curry. The summer rolls were perfect for a warm spring day, and the sauce they came with was nutty and slightly spicy. Yum! I had the Massaman Curry with tofu and my friend had the red curry with chicken. My dish had a strong cashew/nutty flavor to it, which I liked. It also came with a ton of semi-firm tofu. The grilled shrimp summer roll was new to me. And it was a pleasant twist to the regular summer roll. I do wish they had that one has an option as well thou. Always wanted to try this place. We have a regular Thai place we go to, but we gave this a try for an impromptu date night and sat by the water. The Thai iced tea was really good, it wasn't too sweet and wasn't solely a powdered milk tea. I got the lemon grass pork chops and he got the massaman curry. They had a good amount per serving and we got full pretty quickly. Food was delicious and we loved and recommend the mango sticky rice. Staff was kind and all social distancing rules were enforced. Well done SEAK! My boyfriend and I were very happy with our experience here! Funny because we actually came to this area to go to another restaurant but this place caught our eye. I'm glad we didn't pass it up. We took a look at the menu and peaked inside. Once you've seen the words 'Bahn Mi Frites' it's hard to keep walking. When we walked in we knew we made the right choice. The design of the inside was beautiful and comfortable. I really like the decor on the walls and the tables seemed to blend nicely together. The owner was the one who greeted us. She was friendly as was all of the staff. We ordered the Bahn Mi Frites. They were perfectly crisp with a good amount of meat, veg and sauce. They even brought additional sauce in case we wanted more. To drink my boyfriend had a Thai iced tea and I had an iced cafe Saigon. Both were sweetened well and the cafe Saigon was just strong enough for my tastes. For our entrées I had the pad Thai and my boyfriend had the pho. We also shared a bahn mi. So much food but we wanted to try a bit of everything! I loved the pad thai and the fact that they used firm tofu. I'm so used to places using soft tofu that breaks apart when you mix your pad Thai. The firm tofu makes all the difference. I also appreciated that our server brought out a plate with samples of sambal, sriracha, and chopped chilies. It was a nice touch and I liked that you could choose your spice level. My boyfriend enjoyed the pho. It was exactly what he needed on a dreary day. The bahn mi was delicious as well. We noticed that all the other tables were filled with old and young customers. Showing that this place appeals to every age group. All in all it was a great experience! I live about two hours away in the Hudson Valley and I've been thinking about this place since I got home. Glad there is pretty decent Thai restaurant in Edgewater. It's located in the shopping complex so there is ample parking space (although it gets packed during dinner time). I made a reservation for Sunday dinner. Inside the restaurant is very spacious with lots of tables that can accommodate bigger groups. They also have outdoor seating (with the fire of Hudson River) which would be nice for a good weather. We got seated at the near the window area. The interior is also very trendy and clean! I forgot the names of the dishes we ordered, but I ordered eggplant with chicken, Thai curry, drunken noodles, and pho. Prices are very reasonable for the portion we get. This place will not disappoint you with their customer service. My boyfriend has the Pad Kee Mao and said it was bland and not spicy for once, which he didn't mind. A waitress walking by heard and quickly turned around to ask if everything was okay and if he needed any hot sauce. Now, this is one of the excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE I've received tonight. In my opinion, the PAD KEE MAO tasted just right with a settle nutty flavor. It does run on the bland side but is still tasty. This dish was the star of the night for me. The SEAT PHO was nothing extraordinary but my boyfriend who doesn't usually gravitate towards pho liked the soup. For dessert the MANGO GUAVA CHEESECAKE, was a little on the sweet side for me. SEAK is one of our Edgewater favorites! Love their restaurant's ambiance - think warm lighting with metal and wood accents. Cozy yet chic! Best of all, their food is very flavorful. I like their beef Pho (Pho Tai). It has a nice meaty yet sweet broth and not overly salty. Some of their dishes can be pretty spicy, so be sure to tell the waiter your comfort level with spice! For those of you with a sweet tooth, I also love their selection of drinks including jackfruit smoothie and thai tea. SERVICE: Good, no complaints. We have eaten here 3 times since they opened and gotten take out on numerous occasions. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood. We previously went to Bistro du Saigon in Fort Lee for our Vietnamese fix and while we still like their food better, this place is a shorter drive. After our last visit and what must be the worst seats in the house, we will most likely stick to takeout: We went for a late lunch on a Monday holiday. The place was about 75% full and we got seated at the 2-top at the end of the large windows which is by the bathroom, bussing station, and the cart of dirty dishes. There was also a spider web forming at the corner of the divider and window. I was staring at the cart where there was red liquid/sauce splashed on the side, and piles of dirty dishes. We noticed tables around us where 2 people were seated at the 4-top tables. By the time our food came, the restaurant had mostly cleared out and other 4-top tables that were empty when we were seated were still empty. The table location was very unappetizing and I don't think the window view is worth sitting in the proximity of all that. It's like what they say about guest bedrooms - the host should spend a night in the guest bedroom to see what the guest is experiencing. We have tried: - Bun' Special 'Vermicelli Noodle Bowl' - most likely to order again for takeout. Lots of veggies and protein. - Bo Luc Lac "Vietnamese Filet Mignon Cubes" - cheaper on lunch menu, won't plan to order again. It was ok but pricey for dinner. - Grilled Beef and Avocado Summer Rolls - not bad. - Grilled Garlic Shrimp Summer Rolls - prefer this more than the above. Nice grilled flavor. Note when you get these for takeout they do a good job with wrapping them in saran wrap. - Traditional Banh Xeo - I waited a long time for them to start making this. At first they said they were still figuring out how to make this in a timely manner. It's good, not great, but also doesn't taste as good if you get it to go unless you keep the container open on the drive home. - SEAK Pho - it's ok, prefer the other pho place I mentioned. - Banh Mi Saigon - also ok. Overall, the decor is trendy and it seems that they want to make their dishes look Instagram-friendly by serving stuff on slate plates (don't recall this when they were newly opened). The lighting comes off a bit darker than I'd like unless you're by the window. Service is also as expected. read more

I wish I took pictures of this place! The place's was extremely pretty and had a nice view of New York. The ambience was nice, it was lively and casual, but not too loud. There were enough seats when I had gotten there that we did not have to wait. The food was good, I had ordered one of the lunch specials so I got to try some of their pho and pad thai. I enjoyed what I got with the price but wish the pho broth was a little more special, although its a definite upgrade from places like pho32. Although I have never dined in at this restaurant, I've ordered from them numerous times (through UberEats only) and their food has been pretty good each and every time. Some favorites include their Kao Pad and their absolutely delicious traditional Banh Xeo (seriously get this!). Price wise, they are a bit on the high end, especially given portion size and since there has been the odd non deveined shrimp. But infrequent encounters of this and honestly the overall quality of the food, has been consistent. Looking forward to dining in one of these days. read more
