I've been here a few times and have always liked everything I've ordered. The food tastes authentic and the chef/owner is pretty friendly. This spot is definitely worth checking out!

I ate here for the first time and how did I not know this place existed? It is located on the ground floor of the Chinese Cultural Plaza so parking is easy. This place is great if you need a small private meeting room off to the side. The food here was all so amazing! The owner Brian was such a delight! He came to talk story with us, he's so funny and friendly! and such a talented chef! We ordered - signature popcorn chicken w crisp fried basil this is a must order, so tasty! This is amazing. - Ong Choy and green beans. Must i say the best green beans i have ever tasted? -Black Bean Ox Tail Very good ox tail, nice and tender and the flavor is so good. - Pineapple Shrimp Tastes like honey walnut shrimp using pineapple. This was great! - Dragon Dumplings and Fried Pan Dumplings, we all loved the dumplings -Beef Noodle Soup So good, we got a couple of bowls to share. This place is a must try. BYOB, They have a website to do takeout orders as well. I can't wait to go back to try more dishes, we already planned our next visit here!

Super friendly and quick service! Came in to try their most popular items: popcorn chicken and combination beef and tendon noodle soup. Love that they let use choose spice level for each item. Tendon was so soft and buttery! Beef fell apart in my mouth and noodles were perfect chew. Need to come back to try more!

Great homey spot with Taiwanese food that invites deep love and appreciation for the motherland. Popcorn chicken and pineapple shrimp were standouts for me. The chicken was crispy, well seasoned, and plentiful. Pineapple shrimp had me joining the cream team and still had a great crunch even though it was in the sauce. The beef noodle soup was alright, the spicier one was better. Also had to catch a flick with mister boss man, he was funny, entertaining, and kept the good vibes coming.

ATTENTION SPICY NOODLE SOUP LOVERS -- This place is a MUST for you! I've visited many many Asian restaurants that have spicy noodle soups (ramen, mala tang, whatever it may be), but this place by far as the BEST and the SPICIEST noodle soups I've ever had. I personally love mala, so I ordered level 3 mala beef noodle soup and holy crap, it was SPICY. I was originally going to order level 5 but the owner warned me... which I'm so thankful for because level 5 would have killed me. I think level 2 would have been more of a comfortable spicy, but level 3 was doable. The popcorn chicken was also out of this world. I didn't understand why a popcorn chicken would be so popular at a Taiwanese restaurant, but it's definitely different than a regular American popcorn chicken. So happy we ordered it! The owner and server were also so friendly and kind. Happy to support their local business! Chinatown definitely has some of the most delicious restaurants on the island but this place is in my top 5.

Finding this spot based on the address is a bit of a challenge. Ultimately, we parked in the ramp and walked through the mall. Unfortunately, the mall appeared to be mostly deserted. We opted for the popcorn chicken (med spice) with pork covered rice and an order of pan fried dumplings. The chicken was crispy, crunchy, and flavorful. I loved the flavor of the pork with the rice - it was a welcome addition! As expected, the dumplings were very green onion/chive forward. I recommend requesting the rice vinegar, garlic sauce, and chili oil. Be warned, you will have the taste of garlic in your mouth for the rest of the day but I think it's worth it. The food was piping hot and came out quickly. Definitely recommend!

I was craving Taiwanese food while in Oahu for the week and came a ross Seasons on Yelp! I wish I had more appetite and time to try more things, but we stopped by for a quick lunch while in the area. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The popcorn chicken is unique to Taiwan, vastly different from other versions around the world, and the rice with pork sauce goes very well with it. Beware of the spice, we were going between 2/5 and 3/5 and were glad we decided for 2/5 -- we like spicy food and that was plenty. The pork dumplings were so good!! Simple yet delicious filling, thin wrapper to make them less chewy, and nice and crispy on the bottom. Make sure you ask for rice vinegar, chili oil, and garlic sauce to make yourself the perfect dipping sauce for them. It will be on my rotation to visit again when I'm back in Oahu and I will make sure to bring my best appetite to try more things. It is a locally owned restaurant with reduced staff and limited seating, so be patient and enjoy the food! With that said, at 2pm on a weekday, we found seating right away and service was lightning fast! Food was freshly made to order and came out really fast as well.

What a awesome surprise to come and have a variety of Taiwaneses food. Highlight: popcorn chicken - beef & tendon noodle soup. Everything we had was fantastic but both these items are outstanding. Popcorn chicken served w/ fried basil was so good - lots of flavor and crunchy perfectly fried and not greasy. Loved the spices they use. The beef & tendon noodle soup was flavorful and well balanced good noodles too. Restaurant is located at the Chinese cultural center in Honolulu - there is parking ( no validation) - on the ground floor. Restaurant is clean and updated and staff helpful and friendly. Food comes out quickly and at perfect serving temperature. We hope to return soon as they have a variety of dishes we want to try. A perfect opportunity to try Taiwanese food and shouldn't be missed!

Small Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, level 3 spice

Went here for dinner with the girls and we enjoyed everything we ordered and can't wait to return and try more things. The popcorn chicken can be made spicy or mild. We ordered a level 3 out of 5 and it was definitely on the spicier side! I can handle spice and noticed instead of a heat in my mouth it was more like a numbing spice if that makes sense?! This dish is so tasty and we loved the fried basil. The spicy eggplant dish is served cold and has a spicy sauce. It was tasty and different but I'd skip it next time since I'm not a fan of cold eggplant. Their pan fried dumplings were tasty. We loved the garlic sauce it's served with. It's packed with fresh pungent garlic! Next time I want to try a noodle dish instead of this. The sleeper hit was the egg crepe which had a crispy flakey crust and green onions inside. I'd order this again! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and we were the last people in there and they didn't rush us out (we rushed ourselves out!). Restaurant is very clean. Look for it on the river side of the Chinese cultural plaza across from the OG Legends.

My previous 2-star experience was right before the ownership change. The new owners even reached out for me to try them again. It just took 7 years but I made it! Since that time, Seasons Taiwanese Eatery has moved to a new location within the Chinatown Cultural Plaza, taking over the previous location of Legend Vegetarian Restaurant and Pho 88, right across from Legend Seafood Restaurant, near River St. The inside is bright, clean, and spacious. More comfortable than the previous location. I've heard friends talk about how they had a hard time handling the mid to low spice level of the noodle soup at Seasons, which was odd to me as I never associate Taiwanese food with being spicy. But I'm always up to challenge my spice tolerance! The menu is pretty similar to the previous location. There's a decent variety of appetizers, noodle soups, and rice dishes. I like they offer a two choice combo on certain appetizers, so you can try more. I had the Braised Pork Intestines and Beef Tendon. Seemed like both were put on the plate and reheated cause it came out hot, and it had a type of minced pork sauce topping that had a slight sour taste. The intestines were okay. Tender and bland, but a little bit too much fat still attached inside. The tendons were slightly better. A bit more flavor, but not as tender. Not sure, but reheating them together and adding the same sauce on top kind of just melded the dish together and everything just tasted the same and less appetizing. Next was the Chef's Spicy Ma-La Beef Noodle Soup - Level 3 Spice. I was warned by the server that level 3 is "quite" spicy. I'm good. Thanks! Level 3 spice was exactly how a level 3 spice level should be--mid. It does hit you, but not too much where your nose is running, eyes watering, and dying for water. Unfortunately, that was it. Just spice. The broth had no depth of flavor, no richness, no beefiness, no aromatics. Just the chili pepper/chili oil spice. The beef shank was thick cut and tender, but it didn't get any flavor or taste in the meat. And the "Ma"/numbing part was minimal. The sour cabbage nicely balanced out the spice. Overall, I love their spice levels. This is how it should be! I wish all other restaurants would follow it. The Level 3 was perfect mid-level spiciness. I'm a bit curious on the Level 5, but we'll see. The food could have been better. The noodle soup didn't get hit the mark for me. It didn't have the depth of flavors and aromatics. Spicy is just spicy taste. The service was good. Food came out quick. Comfortable place to eat.

My two friends and I visited Seasons Taiwanese Eatery on Thursday for a late lunch on 9/4/25. Seasons is a bright and cool restaurant. One of my friends always frequents this restaurant and invited my other friend and I to have lunch here. We were greeted warmly by Brian, the owner, who was very hospitable. We were seated and met four other companions who enjoy Taiwanese fare, as well. We ordered our soft drink, and teas and had water brought to us as well. We were excited to eat the assortment of dishes that were prepared for us. Our table had an abundance of delicacies that we shared with one another. Here is a list of what we had: Popcorn Chicken, Fried Chicken Wings, Braised Pork Belly, Fried Green Beans, Eggplant with Chili Sauce, Dragon Dumplings, Boiled Dumplings, Spicy Cucumbers, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Braised Tofu, Black Pepper Oxtail, Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and Beef Noodle Soup, and Egg fish. We also had extra spices and a special garlic sauce as our condiments. Everything was so flavorful. I enjoyed everything. There were various textures, spiciness, coolness, crunchiness, and smoothness that enhanced the different meats, seafood, and vegetables. The noodles were nice and chewy and the broth for the soups were delicately balanced. After finishing our meal, everyone at our table felt completely satisfied. Some of us even packed up leftovers to enjoy later. It was truly a meal to remember! The service was outstanding, and Brian was not only an excellent host but also kept our group entertained throughout. We'll definitely be returning to Seasons Taiwanese Eatery soon, and I highly recommend trying their delicious Taiwanese dishes.

Seasons Taiwanese Eatery Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Seasons Taiwanese Eatery

Do you homemade the wrappers (skins) for your dumplings? Homemade wrappers really make the dumplings more flavorful.

unfortunately, we do not. We get them fresh from the factory. We found that factory made ones are better suited for our purpose. Flavourful and consistency is what we are aiming for.

    Do they take lunch reservations?

For party of 5 or more. We recommend that you make reservation for lunch and dinner.

I see reviewers mention that the beef noodle soup here is Szechuan style, but others say Taiwanese. The two are clearly different, so is the flavor more Szechuan or Taiwanese?

How many of the Taiwanese pork sausage comes in a order? Is it like the picture i see on DoorDash with 5 sausages?

It's actually by the weight. We cut them up for you into slices.

How many eggs are in one side order of braised eggs?

    1 egg per order

Is this business still open? It's been closed for the past week and there's no sign indiciating if / when it will reopen.

Sorry for the inconvenience past week. We had some family emergencies and weren't able to be open. We are back to full operating now. Thank you

Do you guys no longer have the crepe and the pouches that had the beef and bean sprouts with the sugar/peanut?

Unfortunately, at this current time, we longer serve those two items. We hope we can bring them in the future.

    Are there any vegetarian dishes?

We currently do have a couple of dishes that vegetarian can enjoy, such as the fried tofu, stir fried green beans and stir fry cabbage. We are looking to expand on our vegetarian dishes by the beginning of next year.

So the thing about coming to Fun Station is the "suspended flying noodle thingy" which I didn't go for, but if you like Instagramable stuffs, then I supposed you would probably go for that flying-noodle dish. As for me, I mainly came to try their Minute Chicken Cake Noodles, and as a bonus......... I actually got a 20% discount thanks to my friend - Jennifer C. who let a Bruddah know about da DEALAGES in da Sunday food section newspaper, as they had a coupon! The Sunday morning when I came with my friend, I can clearly see that this restaurant was thriving, as every table in the restaurant was taken. Fun Station specializes in noodles, but if you're not into that, they do serve other items like - soups, vegetable dishes, rice plates, & porridge (jook). Upon looking over the menu, we ordered the following items - 1. Frrrrrrried Chicken Wings ($9.95) for an appetizer 2. Minute Chicken Cake Noodles ($17.95 - minus da 20% coupon DEALAGES) 3. Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton in soup ($18.95) What can I say about da grub??? Da chicken wings came out hot & crispy. Although they featured only "flats" vs. drums (I like drums), I must say da wings was nicely executed. As for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles.........nicely plated on a fancy smanshy panda plate. The cake noodles weren't drowning in gravy, so the noodles stayed crispy on the dish. I really liked how they did this dish, and would easily come back here to eat it again. My friend had the Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton soup. The dish looked good, and there weren't any complaints, so I take it that it was pretty ono! Overall, a very satisfying meal and the service here was on point, as the staff was friendly & very efficient. Easy 5 stars for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles! Chance 'em!

It's tucked…read moreinto a small strip mall, the dining room is no frills and if someone told me it was just another average neighborhood Chinese restaurant, I'd probably believe them. Then the food starts arriving. We ordered way more than we needed and almost everything impressed me. The chow fun was cooked exactly the way I like it. Chewy, smoky and never overcooked. My only complaint was that it leaned a little saltier than I prefer, but it was still very good. The Hainan chicken was the surprise of the meal. Perfectly tender with an incredible ginger sauce that I'd happily put on just about anything. Even the dishes I normally avoid won me over. I've never been much of a lotus root person, but theirs was crisp, savory and honestly delicious. The wontons were another highlight. Since we skipped the noodles, they generously gave us extra wontons instead, which was a really thoughtful touch. What really pushed this place from good to memorable, though, was the staff. We were there with our two and four year old and they couldn't have been kinder. They brought over little toys to keep the kids occupied, checked on us throughout the meal and made us feel genuinely welcome. None of it felt forced. It was just warm, thoughtful hospitality and that's something I always remember long after I've forgotten exactly what I ate. The bathroom situation isn't ideal, you have to use the one outside the restaurant, but that's really my only complaint beyond the slightly salty chow fun. This isn't the place I'd recommend for date night or a long evening out. It's the kind of neighborhood restaurant you walk into expecting very little, then leave thinking, that was a lot better than it had any right to be. We'll definitely be back.

I'll be thinking about this restaurant for a long time. Where we're from, there's nothing even close to a place like this. If you're visiting the island, this is definitely a spot you need to try!

Their noodles are made in-house (following authentic Sanuki traditions from Japan) and cooked daily. Customers order their noodles at the counter, pick their tempura from a self-serve station, and pay at the end. What's even more impressive- patrons can watch the chefs make the food right in front of them (making for a cool dining experience). Highly recommend getting there early- lines are insane! But for the most part, the line moves fast because meals are dished out quickly and guests eat and leave in a timely manner. And prices are relatively low compared to other places. I ordered the #2 Creamy Broth- creamy chicken broth topped with juicy pork chashu and a flavorful seasoned egg 10/10! This was absolute fire!!! My wife ordered the Chicken Katsu- lightly battered, well seasoned and packed with flavor. We also ordered a side of Shrimp Tempura and Potato Croquettes. Both were equally delicious, but the potato croquettes hit the spot with a well seasoned potato mash, encased in a golden deep fried breadcrumb 10/10! It's an absolute must!

I finally decided why not and came with a friend on new years day lunch time. They were pretty busy already after just 30ish minutes of opening (12pm). Service: We were seated immediately and the service method is pretty simple, you scan the QR code and order through there. My main gripe with this service method is the waitresses aren't as attentive, we couldn't really ask any questions prior to ordering and even after ordering, I had to stand up to the front and wave someone down to pay for our order (as they had a special they had to apply before we paid). We ordered: - Spicy Beef Pancake: 10/10, didn't expect to like this so much as well. Not that spicy to be honest. More like a light spicy flavor. The beef inside was also juicy. - Pan-fried pork bun: 10/10, I was honestly looking forward to this more than the XLB and I was correct to do so. The filling was juicy like a XLB but the dough was also fluffy, doughy, AND has a crispy bottom. Would come back just for this and recommend this 10 times over!! - Sui Mai: 8.8/10; this was like any other good sui mai you may get at different dimsum places. Just pork though, no mushroom or seafood chucks like some other spots. - Steamed Beef with Sticky Rice: 8.1/10. This wasn't bad by any means but just didn't compare to the rest of the items. I didn't like how some parts were super fatty. - Xiao Long Bao: 10/10, the wrapped is thin but thick enough for me to pick up the dumpling without it popping. The soup was flavorful and so was the pork within. They had a special going on which made our XLB be like $5 instead of the $14 it usually is. We were super surprised of how little our bill was give that we were stuffed at the end of the meal and had some leftovers. Even without the discount it would've been a great deal. I heavily recommend, especially the pan-fried pork bun and XLB!!

We were told that the first batch would be served about 11 a.m. so we quickly put our order in. The first thing that caught my attention, was the savory aroma of their 5-spice ground pork being cooked. You can add this as a topping to the noodle dish. The second thing that caught my attention, was the labor of love going in to each order of fresh pulled noodles. You can watch him stretch the dough ball and slap it on the counter before he boils each batch with careful preparation. The third thing that caught my attention, was their adorable mother, helping to slice the cucumbers and top each dish with crushed iso peanuts. Do not forget to order the side of pickled bittermelon....so good!! From beginning to end, this was an incredible experience of all my senses! To see and hear them at work and then to taste the delicious sesame sauce on the fresh pulled noodles....WOW! The soft noodles, the crisp bittermelon, and the savory sauce....super delish! Seriously, go early to place your order. The wait is totally worth it :) Will come back next time to try other menu items.

We went for both the hot and cold udon specials - I think it was a consensus that we would have liked to have more noodles in the dish. This is definitely a sweeter dish, with the tororo and the tsukudani. The place already had a long line, and the best way to enjoy would be to dine-in. After seeing all the reviews for the cold noodle, I decided to try it with rice noodles, a side order of their delicious beef which reminds me of Mian and Bao's beef, a marinated egg, and their spicy fungus. Would definitely order again. Their egg was perfectly cooked, nice and jammy in the middle. It was a lot of food that reheated well the next day. I found it to be spicy in the sense of warming, and flavorful but not searing off your mouth. Definitely get this with their mung bean soup. It is cold, sweet, and refreshing. Parking: there is a rotating lift with an attendant. I would suggest bringing cash, as other means are not always available. Parking was $2 for the time we were there.

Daji Spicy Pavilion is by far my #1 favorite noodle restaurant these days!…read moreBefore I even dive in, I have to give a shoutout to Kaidi, the sweet staff member who greets us with a warm smile and gentle tone every time. She's just so dang sweet! Daji serves Guiyang-style dishes -- and if you're wondering where in the world Guiyang is, it's the capital of Guizhou Province in southwestern China. Now let's get to the food, and why this is my number one noodle house on this rock. The signature soup is simmered for hours using cattle bones and herbs, then topped with cuts of stewed or braised beef. Anything simmered that long is bound for greatness. To top off the mind-blowing broth, the amount of noodles in a large bowl can feed a small village -- or one of me. Meat choices include thinly sliced beef shank, brisket, or tendon, and you're welcome to combine them, like I do. That said, the meat portions are fairly small, so I often order an extra side of meat to satisfy my gluttony. The smoky chili oil has bonito flakes mixed in -- a unique and delicious touch. Be warned: hot in, hot out! Lava hot.

The flavor of the noodles was great, the noodles were a bit undercooked and kinda hard to eat. The ribs were sugar laden (literally), and a bit hard and dry.
