Not sure what the negative reviews are about in here, Seis is a Tucson staple and this location hits the mark with every visit. I love the fast casual setup, grab a number after you order your food type deal. The staff was nice and dealt with a full capacity restaurant really well. Tacos are fire and reasonably priced for how gourmet their ingredients are. I am a big fan of their happy hour considering how much I love margaritas. The mountainside location is really relaxing and they even have a patio for you to enjoy your food outside. Overall the food is great, they have a variety of options for all Mexican food lovers and something for everyone! read more

This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. We arrived and sat down at a table, waiting for the rest of our party before placing our order. Once everyone arrived, two of us went up to order, only to be informed by the rest of our group that a server told them we couldn't sit at the table because it "couldn't be reserved." Then, a woman sat down at our table, claiming she was allowed to do so. One of our group members had her sweater draped over the chair, but the server snatched it off and put it somewhere without even checking whose it was. When we explained the table was ours, the same server, along with another, came over, insisting we couldn't "reserve" the table, even though we weren't reserving it. They kept repeating their "rules" in a rude, dismissive manner, refusing to listen to our explanation. When I asked for the sweater back, the male server retrieved it, but the female server took it from him and shoved it at me. Frustrated, we decided to leave, but the female server arrogantly said, "Fine, leave," with a tone that made it clear she didn't care. The way we were treated was completely unacceptable. We had been looking forward to dining there, but after this experience, I won't ever return to any of their locations. I was surprised by how terrible our trip to this location was. I have heard such wonderful things about Seis Kitchen and was looking forward to trying it but this location was incredibly underwhelming. I love a quick service restaurant but for the price of the food and the ambience I think a full service restaurant would make a lot more sense. Nothing like paying over $15 dollars for a couple of tacos and having to stand in line like you're at Chipotle or Subway to order it. We chose to sit at the bar because we were in the mood for full service and the bar was the only place that we could get that. Upon sitting, no one acknowledged us for a while and when they did, the bartender looked at us and said, "what can I get for you?" without a smile. I looked down at the empty bar counter and said "I don't know, I'm not even sure what you have here." Begrudgingly the bartender brought one drink menu over to our party of two and then goes "Oh did you want a food menu too?" After perusing the menu, he comes over to us again and asks "what can I get for you?" Again, no smile. I asked for two waters and a Seis Margarita. He walks away, starts pouring our waters, gets distracted, then makes my drink (which was on tap), brings my drink and then finally, after asking again for water, remembers our waters and brings them over, one of them, half full. After this I knew there was no chance we were staying for dinner, we ordered the happy hour nachos and that's it. Our nachos came out within two minutes. Come to find out, the people next to us had ordered nachos before us and we had been delivered their order of nachos. The nachos were tasty but the salt level was inconsistent, some bites were INCREDIBLY salty and others were lacking salt. My drink was delicious, but kind of hard to mess up when it's on tap. The bartender never asked us how we were doing, never refilled our waters and never offered me another drink even after mine had been empty for some time. My wife had to request the check after we waited patiently for some time without food or drinks in front of us. Overall, I just think they have some big things to work on at this location. I have no other experience at the other Seis Kitchens to compare this to, but it makes me nervous to try them. read more

The food was delicious. I loved the salsas & agua fresca. They were so fresh. The environment was beatiful. However, my order was wrong, I ordered an al pastor, a grilled shrimp & a grilled fish taco. I got 1 al pastor taco, 1 grilled fish taco & 1 battered fish taco. it took a long time to flag someone down. Their reaction was not very friendly, like I was a bother. They went to "check" & came back & it sounded like they blamed me for the wrong order. I told him I know what I ordered, it was entered wrong. Mistakes happen, I was fine with that. Yelp is asking what are the things to improve : Food is the one to improve I tried to eat the tacos al pastor. They say a picture is worth more than words; here you can see the meat is not properly cooked and it's chewy to bite on with also a lot of fattening. The meat was bland and no flavor. Tried the pork and adobado tacos and the one you can probably eat is the pork with some flavor to it. The salsa I got was the habanero and it was good enough to give my tacos some flavor. The calabacitas (will post a picture of the oily side) as a side was filled with oil and again no flavor. Too bad, this place could be a great idea for a date night due to the decor and patio area. It reminds me of sauce (Italian place) same concept: you go to the register and order and then seat down and your waitress/waiter will bring you your order. Drinks: we had a beer (warm temp, not a fan) and a Paloma (special of the day ) this one was very sweet for my taste but you might like it if you are into sweets drinks, very cute presentation. read more

We visited Seis Kitchen on a Friday afternoon. The service was great and the vibe was very chill. They play festive music, but it's not so loud that you can't carry on a conversation. All the employees that we had contact with were friendly and service oriented. We had queso w/chips, fish tacos & ensalada rustica with grilled shrimp & creamy cilantro dressing. My friends and I ate here on a Friday night. The place is spacious and very clean. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and although it was not frozen, it was delicious. I also ordered the Nachos Grande and the serving was huge. These are definitely for more than 1 person. The nachos tasted great but were way too spicy for me so I barely ate any of them. If you like spicy food then you will definitely enjoy them. Live music started about 7:00 pm and was great! Even though the margarita wasn't frozen and the nachos were too spicy for me, I still give this place 4 stars based on setting, staff, and live music. read more

Give them an A for effort in starting a restaurant. It took too long for this fast food style restaurant to bring ours out. The people ahead of us with 4 people and the family of 5 behind us got their food super quick but us, a couple, took 22 minutes. The bill was pricey for tacos that should be $3:50- $7.00. They were super oily. So oily you could taste the oil. Not good. The AlPastor was loaded with pineapple and three small pieces of meat. The Birria was actually more of a plain shredded beef with not much flavor. The fish tacos were super oily and bland. The salsa was good but the chips are too thick for my liking. The smashed beans were expected to eaten with a fork. My husband asked for a spoon to eat those but NEVER got one. At $58.70. with tip(yes we did 15%) cause it felt like I was ordering at QDoba, and I'm still not convinced I should be tipping fast food places, I don't feel that it was a good enough value to return or recommend. Was recommended by a friend, glad we did. Upon walking in the place is light and airy with plenty of seating. After we figured out how it worked, we went to the register and ordered. I got 2 birria tacos with cilantro rice, and Bobbie ordered 2 Poc Chuc tacos with chips. Both of us got iced tea. My birria tacos had loads of flavor and lots of meat. Bobbies chicken also had more than enough meat and plenty of flavor as well. My rice was some of the best rice I've had outside of my own kitchen. The chips were made in-house and were crispy. I tried Seis for the first time during my recent trip to Tucson and I have to say it wasn't my first choice. The place we intended to go to had too long of a wait. Well, I'm glad it turned out that way because Seis was an excellent experience! I ordered the shrimp tacos but being the picky eater that I am, I asked for the Seis Sauce on the side. I'm glad I did because the folks I was there with said it was a little on the spicy side. Even without the sauce the tacos turned out amazing and their chile and lime rice and refried beans also turned out to be amazing! It was the perfect meal! So glad there's now a Seis in OV! We have always enjoyed their street tacos (al pastor and puerco verde are my favs). This location has a nice large patio that faces west, so it's great midday but can get a little too hot and sunny in the late afternoon if it's summer. Lately we have been ordering breakfast burritos from them - to go or DoorDash. They are great - big portion for $7.50. We typically get the Tocino - hickory smoked bacon, potatoes, and cheese. I'm not an egg person so really appreciate being able to order a breakfast burrito that doesn't have eggs. Very delicious and plentiful. The chorizo one is also very good but can be a little greasy (in a good chorizo kind of way, but sometimes my tummy isn't ready for a grease bomb first thing in the morning). If you get a to go order, double check that they put the salsas you ordered in the bag. They have forgotten them a few times, which makes for a sad moment when you open the bag at home. That's been the only hiccup with service, otherwise they are very friendly and efficient. read more

Just got back from eating here with a Meetup group. We initially sat outside, but everyone moved in because it was too hot outside and there was no shade to protect us from the setting sun. Not their fault that it's still hot in November, but they should install some shade for days like this. As for the food, I ordered one each of the four kinds of tacos on the Happy Hour menu. They're only $2 each! Definitely can't beat the price. I also finished off a friend's nachos. The food was just OK; I'm not a fan of mayo, especially on supposedly Mexican food, and both the tacos and the nachos seemed to be covered in mayo or something a lot like it. I tried the three kinds of salsa and they were all good. I also ordered a large prickly pear lemonade ($4.50). It was OK but too sweet. read more

Great chips and salsa - especially the 'hot,' and love the adobo! You order at the counter, but otherwise, there are still wait staff that come and check on you throughout the meal - don't forget to tip; I wish there were an easy way to tip afterwards, rather than only before at the counter - next time, we'll have more cash with to better supplement afterwards. Oro Valley location: Loud atmosphere, rather strange seating (you're given a table versus choosing one for yourself), they clear your dishes upon finishing, clean restrooms, nice patio. Enjoyed the gluten-free three taco plate. Tried the pork, chicken, and steak. Chicken #1 choice, followed by steak. All are flavorful and tasty. Oro Valley is home to Seis Kitchen's newest location. The interior is large, open, and clean with a garage door-style opening to the south patio. That space has a great view of Table Mountain / Pusch Ridge, while the west patio offers long views toward the Tucson Mountains. But, while the space and views are lovely, the food is what really matters. We came in for breakfast less than a week after this location opened. As is the case with other locations, you peruse the menu boards as you enter and then place your order at the register. You let them know where you'd like to sit, and they associate that table number with your order. My partner and I both selected the Avo burrito, one with medium sauce and the other with hot. Our plates arrived just a few minutes after ordering. Silverware and napkins came on a small metal tray. The burrito's large flour tortillas were fresh and soft. With ample amounts of avocado, eggs, potatoes, green chiles, and cheese, this is a perfect option for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Both sauces (served on the side) were flavorful, and the hot sauce had a light, lingering heat. Delicious! You might be able to share one burrito if you have a light appetite or also get a side. A whole serving is more than enough for an average appetite. We're looking forward to going back for some of our dinner favorites! read more

I'd never heard of fried avocado and thought I'd give it a try it was delicious with great flavor. My husband had a grilled shrimp burrito. It was enough for 3 meals. The shrimp were large, tender and flavorful. We ordered the churro dessert which had 6 mini warm churros with a caramel sauce. A perfect end to a great lunch. read more

Food is pretty good, however after waiting in line for quite some time, we ordered and confirmed several times by server/cashier we wanted two "El Jefe" burritos, one with mild salsa and one with medium salsa. We also tipped 20% not really paying attention to the total. Only one burrito was delivered, with both med and mild salsa. We advised it was to be two burritos. They conferred with the cashier and she came over to the table and said she was sorry, she thought it was only one burrito and proceeded to ask for our card. Which we obliged. I felt that it was in poor taste, after tipping 20% and having to wait for the food we originally ordered. Considering the tip on just one burrito plus drinks was $5, and the burritos themselves are $9, it just seemed like we overpaid for the service received. Won't be tipping in the future until after the transaction. read more

Steer clear unless you have a LOT of time to burn. For our party four on a Friday at around noon, it took nearly 30 minutes to get our drinks and then an additional 25 minutes to get our food.
