An all new KFT to compete with the more mainstream bubble teas coming in hot from China. To be honest, I kind of miss the old KFT that had a ton of options BUT I am not mad about it. I am enjoying the new drinks and the new decor. It is now nicely lit, clean, and simple with cute teapots on display. Service was good as always. My current favorites are the black sesame latte and the peach oolong. The black sesame is very strong in flavor, which is very hard to find. The white peach oolong is pleasantly mild and just strong enough for the flavor to peek out. So far, I have also tried the long jing, osmanthus oolong, jasmine snow bud, passionfruit milk tea, passionfruit green tea,, and the coconut latte. I like how smooth the long jing is and the flavor is very mild. It is one I would choose for a more neutral flavor. The osmanthus reminded me of the boxed vita drinks you find at supermarkets except creamy. Its actually really good. The jasmine tastes like the one from heytea, which I also like very much. I am a humongous jasmine fan. For some reason, I was not a big fan of the passionfruit milk tea -- maybe it felt like the passionfruit was not very strong? but the passionfruit green tea was good. I thought the coconut latte was going to be similar to the one from luckin but it could not be any more different. It was more of a coconut shredded flavor than coconut milk. It was not bad. I did not realize Kung Fu Tea franchise has a very large prominent presence in the boba scene. It is the largest American bubble tea company as per Kung Fu Tea's website. I always enjoyed their fruit teas. I would return to patronize again, again, again and again but in different locations throughout NYC. Peach Oolong tea, medium $5.25 I inquired if this tea was available which to my astonishment it surely is. Kung Fu Tea surely have my default topping herbal jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 which, of course, I included in my order for $0.75. The tea alone was enjoyable containing antioxidants which may help reduce inflammation and lower cholesterol levels, including reducing the risk of heart disease. The amount of herbal jelly was very abundant - which is exceeding unusual. There is no frugality for herbal jelly topping here. My strong proclivity for herbal jelly was fulfilled and advantageously satisfied. I requested "less sugar" which the peach syrup embedded makes this drink extremely sweet. I am glad that the customer can control the sugar level to one's liking. This drink contains fresh pieces of cut peach fruit. I highly despise extremely sweet drinks for the high sugar content intake volume. As usual I requested a lot of ice which the ice, again as usual, melted during my long-haul subway ride home but my drink remained chilled. I had to request for a sales receipt as the cashier/server did not automatically distributed to me. The drink label was somewhat easy to remove. Stopped in quickly before heading uptown. Menu lacks fruity flavors. Ordered a honey black tea with a milk cap. Check your receipt! The menu said one price for the tea with milk cap and then I was charged the price for a regular honey black tea plus the up charge for the milk cap. I brought it to the guy's attention and he was able to fix the issue, but kind of concerning that he didn't know how much the drink that I ordered cost and then up charged me for the drink I ordered. Came here the other day to get something light and refreshing. I came around prime time which is usually between 1-3:30pm so do expect a line when coming here. Service was quick and easy as the staff was efficient making the drinks and I paid via the kungfu tea app to get points. Came here to try the new kirby's fruity flurry drink and was terribly disappointed. I had high expectations for this drink but sadly thought it tasted like cough medicine and was super sweet even with 30% sugar. The presentation was cute and all but after taking a few sips I had to throw it away since it tasted so bad which felt like such a waste being that the drink itself was almost $7. My boyfriend got the kiwi punch drink and also opted for 30% sugar and found that his drink was also too sweet. We ordered on the app for pickup and my drink was not ready at the promised pickup time. The cashier told me to wait a bit but even when my drink was ready, she did not hand me my drink though I was right there - I had to ask her for my drink. When I went, I noticed that they were also charging an extra fee (I think it was 50 cents) for card payments in store which I thought was interesting... I would say that Kung Fu Tea is one of my favorite chain boba places where they are always pretty consistent. Unfortunately, this visit or this location was just meh. I ordered my drink with as little sugar as possible, and it came out tasting very syrupy and sweet. When I went back to see if they could fix it, they ripped off the lid, dumped about half of it out, filled it with unsweetened tea and then resealed it. In walked Barbie and immediately I'm SPRUNG FU And you should come and get a Lemon Black Tea from KUNG FU! WHAT So I keep seeing girls (and boys) in miniskirts in this location. Now I know why they call it "Sprung Fu Tea." What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! What else is good: I have a weird obsession with the Milk Tea w/Oreo and Boba. Winter Melon drinks are good too. Even in summer. Gasp. The Kung Fu Fighters are one of my favourite bands. Their biggest hit was "Learn To Fu" but I also really love "Ever-oolong." This is a super cute little Kung Fu tea location with really friendly service, perfectly located in the heart (or rather on the edge of the heart) of Manhattan's Chinatown about two blocks from where little Sammi Puff (the baby cat I found in Queens) hung out for an hour or two while I tried all the different Chinatown stuff before driving her to Stroudsburg and then Buffalo and then all the way down to Houston Texas which is her new home which she loves very much. Did I just digress? But yeah. So for that reason this location has special memories for me, but definitely a great location and super friendly as well and I'll definitely be stopping here on a regular basis. It is tiny and claustrophobic and often busy but that's okay. They have a couple of counters where you can sit, but that's about it. Some posters on the wall (read, all the posters on all the walls from special offers going back years), and like I said - really friendly girls working here. Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, which is a huge compliment, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha, Tea Top, and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. Total addict. If it's not on the menu, demand it! Other fruit teas (Berry, Orange, Grapefruit) must also be ordered off-menu as Black Tea instead of the meh Green, and some locations won't do it unless you bat your lashes and such. Also the Lemon Black tastes good as a Lemon Oolong, but everyone else hates it that way - because they have bad taste. The one annoying thing about the chain is the corporate office (they're sketchy, and not in an artistic way) and their rule that no drink can have its tea altered (which I often convince employees to circumvent) (because it gives me an excuse to use the word circumvent). Update: Their customer service has declined tremendously. They charged me about $6 for a drink that was 95% all milk. They did not care about my concern or tried to do anything to rectify it. I will no longer spend any money here...not even if it was over 100 degrees and I'm thirstier then a lost person at the Sahara desert!!! Let me not bore you with my on-going Brown Sugar Boba Milk journey... I definitely wanted to try as much of KFT branches as possible. After a gluttony dinner at Grand Seoul, we walked over and grabbed a large Cocoa Cream Wow... this branch doesn't really deliver the goods. The boba was not soft, not sweet and way too much milk, lots of ice. Not my fav. I wish all the branches are consistent however, it's decent enough to quench your craving. read more

Kung Fu Tea is such a classic place to get boba. Went with a friend after dinner since we were craving for boba. The tea was good, but there's nothing too spectacular about this space because its what you'd expect for a boba shop. AMBIANCE: Kung Fu tea is a tiny shop! There's a small space in front of the cashier to stand and wait for your order, and theres a small "bar" seating area that can fit three or four chairs. Definitely more of a to go place. PROS: There are so many options you can choose from! At least 30+ drinks that these guys can make so it definitely can satisfy most if not all cravings people have for boba on any given day or night. I opted for the coconut milk tea medium sized with boba and that came around ~$4.60 ish. There are quite a few toppings you can add to your drink besides tapioca balls, and also you can customize your drink to your personal preferences based on the level of sugar and ice in it. I got my drink at 30% sugar and it was the perfect level of sweetness. 50% is usually very sweet. You can watch your drinks get made on the spot at the machine. You can also taste the coconut flavor in it and the consistency was very smooth and not too creamy/milky. A definite plus for me. My friend got the Lychee punch and enjoyed it alot. Since he is a die hard lychee fan anything that has lychee in it will score points for him. Definitely lots of different lychee options at Kung Fu ranging from punches to slushies. CONS: Only complaints is that this shop doesn't accept credit cards. Other Kung Fu tea shops do especially as you move north of Chinatown in Manhattan. OVERALL: Great spot to grab a quick boba or milk tea drink. Lots of options and customization here to personalize your own drink. Definitely affordable place as well, so will recommend anyone to check this spot out. read more

Great fruity drinks! Taste exactly the same as I've gotten at other KFT locations, and sugar levels are what you ask for. We got the grapefruit green tea 70% sugar with tapioca, and peach oolong tea 70% sugar (which has peach bits in it). They have a lot of seasonal drinks and milks teas / slush so there's something for everyone! Honey green tea, milk green tea, hot honey lemon tea, wintermelon tea are all YUM. ALLERGIES PLEASE BEWARE! There's DAIRY in the "non dairy" powder! Two staff told me it was non dairy twice. I asked to see the ingredients because I have a deadly allergy. The ingredients list says "whey protein" which is from cow's milk and can kill people with milk protein allergies. Please see photos of the ingredients list staff let me take. I almost got a tea with this powder in jt, because two different staff suggested it for someone that can't have dairy. If you have an allergy, I advise you to please be exceptionally careful at places that advertise drinks with "non-dairy creamer." I could've ended up in the ER. I usually come here to get drinks before heading the the D train. Today, we passed by here while heading to the Manhattan bridge and it was open. They only take mobile order, therefore download the app before hand. This makes sense. No one wants to be touching anything unnecessary. KFT Drinks are pretty sweet but I'm a fan of sweet. Got Kung Fu Tea for #Popthelid challenge. I think the large size is more worth than the medium size. I got the milk cap honey green tea with no bubbles and I really enjoyed my drink! The cream layer is salty so when you mix with the drink, it's very good. My friends got the milk green tea and Taro milk tea with bubbles. I went for chai milk and added bubbles, herbal jelly and pudding to it. Chai milk was really good. I think that is black tea with milk. I can't say that herbal jelly and pudding added much taste to it, but certainly bubbles were nice. This location only has two counter seats, and mostly those are occupied. It's located on the corner sandwiched right between Popeye's chicken and my favorite Chinese BBQ joint in all of NYC, Wah Fung #1. Yes, that's how I remember where it is. They have good variety of fruit teas, WOW milk, which I think is just lactose free milk (NO TEA), and all the usual toppings. We ordered 2 large Kung Fu MT ($3.75) with grass jelly and 30% sweet. It cost $9.25x 30% sweet was just sweet enough. The MT has a stronger creamier / milky taste than tea taste. Grass jelly was soft, fresh, and smooth. I've also had the green MT here as well and it's pretty good. The main issue with this location is that it does get packed and I find myself looking for empty space while waiting for my drink. read more

This place has so many variations! They also offer LACTOSE FREE MILK called "WOW MILK", which is amazing as most bubble tea places don't have options for lactose intolerant people like me.
