Food quality is generally good but it's a horrible service We ordered via Uber eats. Put in comments for extra ginger. Got back home and found they didn't put any ginger or any Wasabi. It's impossible to enjoy sushi dish without the two. We call and get an attitude from the restaurant. Until I yell and threaten to report them. Then they apologized. And yet no help at all. Store manager came and didn't help but now he apologizes Horrible service and loads of attitude. I would never give them my business. Culprits are Ping and Mavix. And a 3rd person who acted as store manager that evening. Disgusting service for a place that's so pricey. Really, just apologize for the mistake and de escalate the situation and I would have walked out without a word. I live about one minute away from Village Oaks where Senro is located in and I always order their take-out. Sometimes 2-3 times a week! One reason being that their kitchen stays open pretty late for a good sushi spot in the Santa Teresa area. They stop accepting take-out orders at 9:30pm Sun-TH & 10:30pm Fri/Sat. Another reason that I'm a regular here is that there aren't many healthy options in this area late at night. So one Special Roll and a Miso Soup is always the go-to order for me! SPECIAL ROLLS: Crunchy Roll - Shrimp Tempura & Crab Meat, Topped w/Crunchy Flakes. My ALL-TIME favorite roll here is the Crunchy Roll, anyone I know that has tried this roll LOVES it! It isn't the craziest of rolls but it definitely is amazing and tastes exactly how it sounds - like the perfect bite of crunchy goodness! This roll is best if you're a beginner or not into ordering rolls that come with different assortments of fish, it keeps it pretty simple but remains a solid choice! Mango Crunch - Salmon, Avocado, Macadamia Nuts, Topped w/Spicy Tuna, Mango, Crunchy Flakes & Unagi Sauce Anything with mango and fish I automatically love... once I tried this combination there was no going back & I love the fun spin that Senro put on their version of the mango crunch... MACADAMIA NUTS! Now at first this definitely will catch you off guard, especially if you didn't realize that they were going to be on it, but for me it was a delightful surprise! I love the extra crunchiness that they add to this roll and all of the flavors definitely complement each other perfectly! The happy hour is also a plus since it's everyday! Although it's nothing too crazy and the price differences are only about a $1 or $2 off it is still very worth it! And bonus, if you check in on yelp while you're seated they will offer a free Garlic Edamame appetizer... which was SO BOMB! Definitely recommend coming here for a casual bite to eat! Only downside here is that the shopping plaza is very crowded on both sides of the parking lot, luckily I have never had any issues finding a parking spot when I needed it though so don't let that deter you from enjoying this nice lil sushi spot! read more

This place is literally walking distance from my bf place, so we decided to go for happy hour and have a couple sake bombs. Excellent: nigiri sushi, sashimi, saba shioyaki, hamachi kama (collar) Good: sushi rolls, gyoza, miso/salad, garlic edamame, chicken/salmon teriyaki Bonus: easy parking, clean restaurant, nice modern decor Tip: Prices on the happy hour items are only about 10% to 15% off the regular menu prices and the selection is limited. The server/kitchen forgot to make my son's teriyaki plate so he had to wait an extra 10 minutes. No biggie since there was plenty of food on the table and the server apologized a few times (which is always appreciated). Senro is pretty close by to me and I've been coming here (or ordering to-go) frequently throughout the pandemic for my sushi fix. I like the stir fry noodles and my boyfriend likes to get the bento box. When we go in person, we typically order a few sushi rolls and the sashimi. The sashimi is especially tasty and usually very fresh tasting. My go-to for sushi rolls is usually a shrimp tempura roll or spicy tuna roll, but sometimes I'll branch out and order something different and it's always pretty good! There are lots to choose from so you can't go wrong. My only downside is sometimes when we order via DoorDash an item or two is missing, I don't believe this is necessarily the fault of the restaurant though. We walked by this spot and decided to try it. It looked like a very clean and roomy sushi spot. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. Flavor of rolls was just not there. We had a Philadelphia which is super basic roll and it was not good. Also tried the Hot Night roll and it wasn't good and the sauce on it made it worse. My husband got a bento box with teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef. The chicken was good but the beef was hard to eat. Super tough and overcooked. It clearly wasn't the right cut of meat for this and we couldn't really eat it. Despite the majority of the food being terrible, we decided to order the green tea tempura ice cream for dessert. One of my favorite sushi restaurants used to make this but they stopped offering it and I haven't seen it anywhere else so I had to try it. Not the same as what I've had before but close enough. I've ordered from this place twice, both to-go orders, so my review is solely about the quality of the rolls. The first time I ordered the "Hot Night" roll with shrimp tempura inside. When I ate the roll, the tempura was as hard as a rock and completely overcooked. There was too much breading on it as well and barely any shrimp inside. I had to physically pick out the shrimp inside each roll to make the food even edible. The second time, I avoided the shrimp tempura rolls and ordered the "Shelby" roll which was recommended by previous reviewers. However, the roll was huge and fell apart very easily. It was impossible to eat without making a huge mess. Overall, the quality of the rolls I tried were horrible. I would not eat here again, unfortunately. I love Senro . New go to spot when we want to get away from Cha Cha sushi . The quality and taste of the fish is superb . Almost every time we go , we are satisfied with all the dishes. Our favorite dishes would be the jalapeño poppers ,spring salmon belly , hamachi carpaccio , salmon sashimi , and tempura. The only thing we didn't like too much was the lion king roll . The mayo was way too overpowering and the flavor was not our favorite. The food was ok, the salmon was over cooked and the chicken was dry. But the thing that really made me write this review was the bathroom. There are two bathrooms, 1 had no toilet paper. When I asked for toilet paper the guy said oh ok, thank you for letting me know. I had no choice other than to go into the other bathroom. The floor was wet and the toilet was sprayed with pee. There was something brown smeared on the soap dispenser which was no where near the toilet. When I was explaining to the people they just laughed and said they didn't know what was wrong with it. I am so disgusted by my experience and will not be going back. I seriously feel sick and need to hop in the shower to get the icky feeling to go away. Also, the tables were sticky. I'm no sushi expert but I do know what I like and Senro Sushi keeps me happy with my sushi order. Senro has an interesting layout and you have to walk in to the restaurant and around the corner to find to hostess. Once your in you'll see Senro has nice high ceilings and popular music playing in the background. It's a very relaxed vibe which lends itself to you staying for longer. They also do carryout which is a plus. Now to the sushi. The fish was fresh and the rice was very tasty. Not every sushi place has great rice but I really enjoyed the rice from Senro. They literally give you a good sized dollop of wasabi and not much ginger so make sure you check and ask for more ginger at the restaurant. That is if ginger is your thing and it's definitely my thing. The menu seemed on the expensive side for the rest of the entrees and they do serve wagyu beef. I'm still looking for a reason to try wagyu but it just may end up being at Senro. The service was good and efficient. I think they would have a great happy hour so I'll do a little more research for Yelp. It may be tough but I'll do my best. read more
