This is the second Shabu Shabu place I have tried in the area and I have to say this is my favorite so far. For dinner and on weekends, it's all you can eat style with a choice of house meats or premium meats. This includes beef and pork. The server brings you the meat which you can keep reordering. Everything else you get at the buffet station. There are seafood options such as imitation crab meat, octopus, shrimp, cuttlefish balls, lobster balls, etc. There are plenty of veggie options including bok choy, cabbage, bean sprouts, mushrooms. There are also a few noodle options including ramen and udon. There is also a dip station to make your own sauce. For one person it costs about $30-35 for the house meats. On the weekday they have express lunch sets which I assume is cheaper and have a more limited option. My favorite things are- the included vanilla ice cream at the end & the complimentary buns you get with the condensed milk to dip in. My husband and I definitely recommend this place. It was worth the wait to be seated since it was busy. :-) With the CoVid, they are the only restaurant that really made us feel safe and comfortable. Temperatures were taken before we were seated. Terrence, the owner also took time to explain everything from wearing gloves in the buffet area, to letting us know how do go about our order. They were very serious about making sure everything is sanitized. He used this UV light to sanitize all the plates and utensils that he was placing on the table. As regards the food, you get what you pay for. We ordered the unlimited premium option with wagyu meat. Terrence made sure that we still have meat all the time. In other hot pots, it takes a long time for them to check on you or to give you your wagyu meat refills. The restaurant was clean. Bathroom was spacious and well maintained. I love this place! I discovered it when I was watching Mikey Chen (a YouTuber) giving a review of it on his channel. I have been going, a short while, but I have brought 3 different people hear and they love it as well. I love that it is individual hot pot seating so if you want to go by yourself you can. I haven't seen any kind of option any where else. If it is your first time (or any time) going I would suggest getting the premium meat. It is melt in your mouth good. There selection on vegetables, seafood, and noodles is really great! Also for your birthday you can call ahead (at least a week ahead ) and get a "birthday" meat cake. I love this place! Been coming here for a while now and went last night. Their new safety precautions for covid are extremely effective. We got the house course which is always great, but if you feel like treating yourself the premium course is so worth it! Super high quality meats. The brotha are spot on. I tried the Japanese mala, which is a spicy broth. It was very good. But their standard sukiyaki is really tasty. Even more, the service is excellent. The owners were really attentive to our needs and very friendly. I have been to every hot pot/shabu shabu establishment in the Seattle area and they are by far the best. Coming from Hawaii I feel my hot pot standards are high since there are so many good ones back home but this place is right up there with them. Wow wow wow. This place has stolen my heart. First off let me say that this place has one of the best service I've ever experienced at a restaurant. The owner, who was hosting on this busy Saturday evening, was very friendly and even checked on us after we sat down. You could tell that he's very passionate about his restaurant. Our server, Jes, was so sweet and attentive. It was our first time and she was so patient with all our questions. She made our time there so awesome. And the food... omg, the food was amazing. People who never been to good hot pot restaurant wouldn't know that the initial broth isn't as strong flavored. But when you simmer your meats and veggies, the broth gathers more flavor. Got the konbu broth and the spicy miso, both were very flavorful by itself. The self-serve bar was so good compared to other AYCE hotspots I've been to. The veggies were fresh & crisp, the seafood was tasty, and the sauce bar had so many choices! The meats were good quality cuts and came in good portions. Didn't even finish our first course of meats! This restaurant was a different experience. Don't get me wrong I think everyone should experience this restaurant to truely understand. But I am an anxious person so usually when I eat hot pot I'm used to the quiet and calm atmosphere. This restaurant is the opposite it felt like a party in there. When we entered we were greeted at the door and sat. It was our first time at the restaurant and we had told the server but it seemed like everyone was in a rush? It was loud so it was hard to get our waiters attention after he had left us. And we were just a little confused on how the ordering worked but we weren't comfortable asking a second time. Anyways the owner came by to hand us business cards or a coupon? And we ended up asking him how to order instead. So we ordered and then headed to the side bar to get our noodles and side dishes which is cool idea until you have to wait in line and you have get up muiltple times so it somewhat felt like a fancy buffet. We live in Spanaway so the drive out here to try was crazy but over all the food was really good the service was decent and the atmosphere had busy fast food feel to it. read more

I hear this place was opening a few weeks ago from a friend and I do love me some yummy Japanese food. Me and my hubby each got a cute little pot individually. I picked the Classic Kombu (kelp) and husband got soup of the day which was curry. The meats was so freaking delicious, and our favorite was definitely the rich beef from premium menu. We went in for dinner on a Friday night, it is busy for sure which is a good sign for the business, the owners understood it is a busy night and were very kind to all of us as we were waiting to get seats. I was unitially doubtful because it is an all you can eat restaurant, but Shaburina offers quantity without sacrificing quality. The meats are absolutely the best quality we have had for any shahu shabu or hot pot restaurant. I recommend the premium option because it is more than worth it. This is a new shabu shabu place in Redmond. Came across it from Yelp. Went in on at about 5pm on a weekend evening and got seated right away. The menu has 2 meat combos to choose from, we had the house course and it was $35pp. Kids discount go by their height and I was told kids rate are at 40% off adult's. My daughter was right at their cut off but they gave the discount anyway. The buffet bar has plenty to offer, from veggies, tofu to fish balls and meatballs to undo to instant noodles and a few types of seafoods. We overall like how the bar is neatly setup. The sauce bar also has plenty to offer but lacking spicy options for my taste. The meats we had were good quality and is all you can eat. The buffet bar was replenished timely throughout our dining. The waitstaffs were very attentive and friendly. I suggest that they can offer some cut up fruits at their buffet bar to better the diner's experience. First time here and left very full and impressed! Came in at around 5:30pm, which is 30 minutes after they open, and most of the tables were already occupied. Had the house course meat for two with one original kombu broth and one tomato broth (broth of the day). The kombu is savory while the tomato is on the sweeter side. Both tasted great! The meats were good quality and the buffet bar has quite a large variety of items to choose from. You can even get soft serve! Just walk up to the side of the sauce bar in front of the machine and ask one of the employees for it. Service was really good. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had several different people checking up on us throughout our meal asking how we were doing and if we wanted refills on drinks or more meat. Our visit to Shaburina was only the second time we felt comfortable enough to do so, after seeing on YouTube how much effort they put into keeping everyone safe. UV sanitizers, gloves, and individually packed sauces, along with spacing out tables, were all appreciated pieces to keeping customers healthy and safe and a weight off our minds. When we did go out, hot pot was always high on our list, and the food here does not disappoint. The cuts of beef are especially fresh and delicious, with the wagyu having an incredibly tender texture and coating the tongue with just the right amount of beefy fattiness. This was accompanied by a wide selection of veggies and sides to customize your meal. Our favorite combination was the beef with the kombu broth and house sauce. Service was also stellar, with our server checking in consistently during our meal to top off our soup pots and water before we needed to ask. Pricing has 2 variations one with regular meat and the other with wagyu beef. The meats are sliced thinly and were just soft and perfect for a soup style serving. Veggies, noodles and seafoods like shrimp, clams and scallops are buffet style as well with a make your own sauce bar to add and spice up your soup dish. We had a family in town and we're trying to find a last minute place to eat with 10 (8 adults and 2 kids). The restaurant we wanted to go to had a two hour wait so we called around seeing if anyone could take us sooner. The guy who answered said we normally need reservations but he could squeeze us in. I was super thankful. When we got to the restaurant we realized it was fairly dead and he was trying to seat us at two different 6 top tables. They had only one large table that was currently being occupied. If we had mentioned that on the phone we wouldn't of come, but we asked instead can we wait until the big party leaves (who looked like they were nearing the home stretch). He said they still had a lot of time and he needs to sit us in the other server's section because they had a slow night. It is not my job to balance the work between your servers sections. Outside of the very non customer centric beginning, we did end up at the big table and our server was really nice. One of the best places in the Seattle area for all you can eat hot pot. I've never been disappointed coming here and have always left satisfied and happy after every meal. There is parking under the restaurant in the garage for 90 mins, which is the time limit for eating as well. Either get on the waitlist or make a reservation otherwise trying to get in can be very difficult. If it's your birthday you can get an A5 Wagyu Cake for free if you reserve a week in advance. It has a great atmosphere and what's nice is that everyone gets their own pot. This means you can be selective with the soup, the meat, and everything you want for yourselves. All the broths taste fantastic and you can't go wrong with either the house or premium meats. There are usually 4 kinds of meat; lean/rich pork or beef. You just have to make sure the whole table decides on which type. It is all you can eat so you can order as long as you have time left. There is a $5 waste fee however if you can't finish your food and no takeout is possible. There is also the seafood/vegetarian option for all, and the seafood buffet bar has a lot of options even if you don't want meat. There are all kinds of veggies, tofu, seafood balls, noodles, shrimp, octopus, you name it. There is also a sauce bar where you can make your own blend. The value for the meal feels really worth it given how much you can eat. Service is wonderful and the wait staff are super friendly; thank you Solomon and JJ! Terrence the owner is also super nice. The wait was ridiculous (even with utilizing the Yelp sign in)... they will seat you depending on party size and tables available vs first come first serve. We signed in at 1830 and was not seated until 1940. We were a party of two but was never offered bar seating until I was through with waiting and asked to be seated at the bar myself (an hour later). So we could've been seated the whole time but the hostess/waitress never offered. I was not impressed with the service that we received for the rave and quality of this dining experience. This is my new favorite hot pot place. Got the regular house meats not premium and honestly it was good enough. We definitely liked the beef more than the pork. Other people said all of their sauces were too sweet but I actually couldn't find a sweet one. I was hoping for some sweet soy sauce or sweet katsu sauce but everything I had was actually tangy or sour. At that point I'd rather just have normal soy sauce. Although to be fair I honestly didn't need much sauce. The broth and flavoring was enough. Although I ended up with some mixture of the sauces that was OK for some meat combos. Need to try the udon noodles next time. I didn't like the lobster balls they had little pieces of roe. The fish tofu is usually my favorite but it wasn't what I expected texture wise.
