Guys, don't be fooled. It's bad. Really bad. The rating fooled me into coming here. Meat quality is terrible - there are a few premium options, and they are just as bad. The sauces are bad. The soda machine doesn't work. (Soda cans are there for show, they don't actually sell them.) I think they used to have sushi, but I didn't see any on the menu - which makes the name misleading. It's not cheap either, so I don't understand the draw. The only thing I enjoyed was the painting of this cat on the wall. Pros: good place to have hot pot for the first time if you want to start at the absolute bottom of the spectrum and work your way up from there. Cons: everything is bad here. Everything is bad.

Such a fabulous deal! Have been here a few times now and I absolutely love the Thai soup broths... the Spicy Tom Yum broth. And wow- what a deal for both lunch and dinner. The All You Can Eat is fantastic. You also get fountain drinks and dessert! We definitely had to save room for the waffle and got to get two ice creams flavors.

This shabu place is so good and affordable. The veggies are fresh. Good quality meat. And we have tried 4 different broths and loved them all. The staff is super friendly too.

Truly horrible. Shabu Shabu is one of our favorite meals and to go to one that is so wildly awful was disappointing to say the least. The decent meats are all additions that cost 5.00 on top of the menu base rate. The back of house was a disaster, piles of dirty dishes, rotting vegetables and toilet paper stored on top of condiments. Joon in Glendale still reigns supreme. Avoid this place if you can

The meat quality is fine. The self service bar was horrendous. All the vegetables had gone bad. I even saw mold on the raw onions. And the vegetables were not getting stocked and most were more than half empty. We asked for rice and our server told us they had none. Instead they had to cook it from scratch. 40 minutes later, it was never ready for us! Our server was really nice though. By the way, they don't serve sushi anymore, despite how it advertised.

You can split the pot to try two different broths; here is sukiyaki, and the reddish one is spicy Tom Yum broth! Both SO delicious!

OMG! Was this place was a phenomenal last minute find! We all couldn't stop talking about how good the food was! Super fresh, delish and all you can eat for $35 (heck of a deal)! We've never been to such a place, so at first we were a bit lost on how it all worked, but the servers were very helpful, with genuine smiles and kindness; plus, they were very attentive to our needs and requests! I'd recommend that if you're a party of 4+ like we were, to ask to sit in the middle section, as there was lots of space, and each person has their own burner to cook their veggies and meats as they see fit! My daughter and her husband kept talking about how they're definitely going back, making a staple of theirs to go to! Next time my wife and I fly in, we'll be right there with them! Cheers!

we were so excited to try this place after hearing that they offer ayce sushi and shabu but left very disappointed. we ordered from the premium menu and tried almost everything but nothing stood out in a positive way for us to come back.. + extensive menu from rolls, raw meat and lava cake desserts + most of the shabu meats were good + delicious matcha lava cake -everything else besides shabu meat was mediocre -nigiri was all fishy -veggie section is so unsanitary and not kept clean (there were only two rings to pick from the veggie cart and all the veggies were mixed in containers) ~Service: ok service, nothing too special ~Cost: $28/pp for basic or $35/pp for premium ~Parking: limited plaza parking

It's our second time at ShaBuShi and this time we brought more family. They just opened on a weekend morning and not all the broths were available (half star off). Our fave broth tasted like Tom yum soup! The all you can eat Shabu Shabu with sushi was a great deal for the money! There were so many meats, toppings, sauces, etc to choose from. For the entry price point, there's limited sushi selection if you like to order more sushi, choose the higher price point. The waiters checked often to see if we want more meats or if the soup gets too hot. The place is tiny so go during off peak hours. There's parking at the strip mall it's on.

came here right when it opened at 5pm on a sunday because we wanted to beat the rush and we were the first ones in. after a while, it started getting busy so imagine there would be a wait on fri/sat nights. the shabu shabu is definitely the star of the show compared to the sushi. while the meat quality is a bit subpar, you can't beat the variety here when you include the sushi. the shabu shabu $35 option also gives you seafood which would cost $35 alone at non-ayce places. the sushi is overall pretty mid - we ordered a few pieces and decided to stop ordering sushi since it wasn't worth filling our stomachs with. some other things i did like were the chawanmushi (steamed egg) and crispy tuna rice. the sauces were also delicious and i love how they provide a bunch of minced garlic. my absolute favorite thing here was the brownie and vanilla ice cream you get to choose at the end. i was so full but devoured the whole thing.

If price is important to you then this is one of the most affordable AYCE shabu places to my knowledge. Quality of meat is okay; soups tasted like artificial flavors. Vegetable selections were good; spices/sauces were just okay. Small place and not so clean. Only one server was working when we were there on a Saturday lunch. She worked her best but it seems she was a bit overwhelmed. Again, great value, but you get what you pay for.

You guys, how come no one told me about Shabu! I feel like I've been missing out for years. Honestly we were in Thai Town for some Thai food but ended up coming here when our regular place was closed. Best decision ever! We tried the all you can eat menu and let me tell you hunny, we ate! Everything was delicious, and this is coming from a girly who doesn't regular enjoy soup. The ingredients where fresh, the variety was vast, and the combination endless. The staff is friendly and they explained to our group how to the menu and cooking worked. The place was quiet and relaxed, just people eating and enjoying each others company. I can't wait to return!

Delicious Saba sushi -- smooth and flavorful fish; very fresh; generous portion. Hot pot was fun; light; we got the premium pork. Recommend.

One of the biggest reasons we come here is that kids 10 and under are half price, and everyone can make their own bowl just the way they like it. It's perfect since we all have different tastes. We've been to other shabu-shabu restaurants with bigger selections, but my kids actually prefer the vegetables and side options here. Everything feels fresh, and they always find their favorites. Another thing we really appreciate is that the fried dumplings and sesame bread are made fresh to order in the kitchen, so they're always served hot and crispy. Many other restaurants leave these items sitting out on the buffet, but here they're freshly prepared, which makes a big difference. The restaurant is also spacious, making it a great place for multiple families or larger groups. We never feel cramped, even when dining with friends and kids. After a beach day or coming home from a trip, this is our go-to spot for a warm, comforting meal. There's just something about a hot pot that hits the spot, and this place never disappoints. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful details, and a family-friendly atmosphere keep us coming back every time.

RUDE SERVER RUINED OUR DINNER - MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO READ…read moreTHIS I visited with my husband on Friday, August 7, from around 4:00-5:30 PM. Most of our meal was pleasant, but near the end, a young, short, slim female server with her hair tied back asked me, "More soup?" I said, "No, I'm okay." She then asked, "No?.... Are you sure?" while looking at my food with an expression that made me feel as though she found it disgusting. I found her attitude very disrespectful and completely unnecessary. I had already answered her, and the way she reacted crossed a line. Customers should not be made to feel judged or embarrassed about how they eat their food. I was also uncomfortable seeing staff chatting with each other and even dancing while customers were dining. It felt very unprofessional. The food was fine, but the staff's attitude ruined what should have been a nice dinner with my husband.

On the first day, we were shopping around at the mall and ended up going to Shabu Shabu House for a late lunch. It was super busy inside!! Each station has their own seat, hot pot area, and a kiosk to order from. Even if you go as a family, you can combine your table # for the final bill at the register, which is nice. Looking at the menu, there were so many amazing dishes! We did end up ordering the following Beef Bulgogi Beef and Broccoli Shabu Shabu Beef. It did come with side options like cabbage, broccoli, udon noodle and more. If you needed anything extra like utensils or a drink, you would just place the request through the kiosk for a team member assistance. Most of our orders came out at different times. The Shabu Shabu Hot Pot was first. We did have a chance to cook up some of the beef first and try it out. For the other dishes like the Beef Bulgogi and the Beef and Broccoli, those were cooked and provided about 20 minutes later. Luckily while we were waiting, we ended up looking online at some of the other shopping stores in the area to take a look at after eating! My daughter liked the beef and broccoli. I enjoyed the beef bulgogi. The bulgogi was super tender and juicy! I'd order it again. The side vegetables and rice were good too. I really had a amazing time at Shabu Shabu House! I'm out in Vegas, so I'm not sure when the next time I'll be back, but I'm so glad I had a chance to experience this restaurant though!

The waiting staff were kind enough, and I like the fact that there are a lot of options when it comes to the amount of meat you can order for lunch, however, there are no options for the base soup. Only water! This totally defeats the purpose of wanting to take things to go if you have leftovers. No miso or shoyu base. The price was reasonable and the location was decent, but parking was not great. I parked across the street at Joe's parking. Didn't even think about asking for validation and the restaurant didn't offer. Big issue for me especially since parking is $15 for one hour, which is ridiculous, but it's LA. Would've been nice if the restaurant had even mentioned whether or not the validate parking or not. You pay at the exit, before you leave. There also really isn't a place to put your purse. If you have a tiny clutch like purse, it would work, but alas, my purse was literally on the floor. While it's located in a cute Japanese plaza, I most likely wouldn't return.
