This is actually not a bad bar. I wouldnt make my trip out here just for the drinks, but if you are in the area. They have an outside patio, for customers to eat and drink while facing the shore. Relaxing if you ask me. However, I never got the chance to sit outside since it was super windy when we went, but oh my gosh, you must claim their couch! It's SO comfy that you might fall asleep. We were just snacking around, so we ended up getting spinach dip and seared ahi tuna. We actually enjoyed the spinach dip more. Loved the green color of the chips. So Irish of them! As for the seared ahi tuna, it was cut into pieces and I wasn't sure it was seared or it was just pressed into black and white sesame only, BUT the wasabi cream sauce was good. Tasted even better when I used it to dip the chips! Now onto drinks. Boyfriend got the Guinness chocolate raspberry, wow. Tasted like dessert, but interesting. I got the something tan that was half Guinness and half beer of their choice. It was okay. I've tasted better. Super mellow little Irish Pub in the LBC Harbor area! They offer a variety of brews on tap as well as some food and a great view of the harbor area on the patio! We came here for a friends birthday last night and it was a great time the staff was all very nice and friendly as well as quick to serve us our drinks! They had a live band playing all the covers you'd expect when visiting a bar on a Saturday night! The drinks were decent prices as I payed $5.50 for a Pineapple Cider that was super delicious and just hit the spot as I enjoyed it on the patio looking into the awesome darkness of the harbor! They offer parking validation here so don't forget to bring your ticket to the bartender to get a stamp as it will save you a few bucks when you decide to leave bringing it down to $2 for the 3 hours that we were here. So, we got the kids on the bikes and headed to Shoreline Village. Recalling the previous positive experience, we decided to hit up Shenanigans. Boy, what a downer. The only seating available was the back patio, which was bumping club music. Not what you expect from an Irish place, but figured loud is good when you have two small kids. It was seat yourself and it took a awhile to get some service. In fact, tables that arrived after us got attention and drinks before we did. I later noticed that the one girl working the patio (which had about 5-6 active tables) was also bartending. They were clearly understaffed for the crowd. We had to fetch other employees for utensils and the check. We ordered drinks and asked for water with our alcoholic beverages and we were brought bottled waters. We were then told that they don't offer complimentary tap water, only bottled water at $1.50. WTF? Is this a restaurant or a night club? Now the food. I ordered the Shepard's Pie. This thing was tiny. At first I thought they gave me the kids portion, but nope. I was done in about 6 bites and was still hungry. And for this we were charged $11. We are not talking about exotic ingredients here, ground beef, potatoes and frozen veggies. With all that said I would not recommend this place for dinner. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup, and tator tots. As soon as grilled cheese was delivered to the table I could tell the cheese wasn't melted. They immediately brought it back to the kitchen to make another. When it came back the cheese was still not melted and though the soup had good flavor it was basically warm marinara sauce not soup, so they should probably change the tomato soup to marinara dip on the menu. I ate it, though the whole time thinking...if I made this sad grilled cheese with no butter on the toasted bread...I would probably serve it with a dipping sauce too. This place is not authentic Irish, so know that before coming here. The drinks: Guinness on tap, you can't go wrong. I'm sure they have other "stuff," but what else would you want? If I could put a 10 star rating I totally would in reference to the wings here at Shenanigans. By far the best wings I have tried in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oraange County and San Diego. Everything you would want in a wing. Traditional buffalo sauce, not no fancy flavors here. Very nice sized wings and meaty. Came out dripping wet in the most flavorful sauce ever. I did have the garlic buffalo as that is by far the best flavor they offer even though the traditional buffalo sauce is incredible. Next I went on a Thursday so to my surprise the wings on Thursdays are only .50 cents. Hard to find good solid wings for only .50 cents these day. Overall if you are a cray cray wing connoisseur like I am look no further as this is the spot for buffalo wings. Now about the service because that is just as important. I sat at the bar and the dudes working the bar were totally cool and non "douchey" like the clowns on 2nd street in Belmont shore. My wife and I had lunch today, it was our first time there. We really had a wonderful lunch! The service was fantastic! Ambiance is great and the live bands. I am a boat owner and was there the weekend of Cali vibes which I didn't attend but noticed they jacked up the prices that weekend on food and drinks! Went for happy hour as well on Friday and was not charged happy hour prices. Saturday night the staff was making us order drinks at the bar instead of table service. Wait staff stated due to the event Cali Vibes they were over whelmed which is crazy because I was during the concert hour and the people the restaurant were even there for the event. Came here recently. Yard house was backed up so we tried this place. We alerted having drinks and appetizers. We figure it would be normal price, but little did we know they charged a 15% Covid Charge. I understand it's a difficult time but that's something the staff should be communicating to patrons. Our simple bill for 1 round of drinks (2 beers, 2 signature drinks and 2 appetizers) came out to a little over 100 dollars. She created my drink, the michelada, while explaining all the ingredients. her friendly demeanor is what draws the crowd in which is why she has regulars. The food was top notch.
