Today was likely the last time I venture over to this place. Sitting and having a good time only to find each time I ordered a Michelada I was being charged an additional $3.25 per drink for a splash of Bloody Mary mix to be thrown into to my Corona Premier. 3 drinks for a whopping 36 bucks. Are you out of your mind? I get prices and inflation have risen. But this is absurd. Pay for the beer and ADD 3.25 for the mix. Let's do the math. The person next to me gets a full beer. I get 3/4 of a beer and it is 1/4 filled with Bloody Mary mix. And I pay more for the mix with less beer. And significantly more. No more. read more

Horrible service! You order a drink and only see the waitress again if you wave her down, others it's bar service only. Food was good, live music was good but musicians also complained that they changed the time on them and had to rearrange their gigs. Oh and don't ever give them your debit/credit card, they will give it back to someone else which makes you have to cancel your card-so cash only, the bad part about this is you have to pay after every drink-if you make it past more than one round with this service. Came here for a quick bite to eat after parasailing at Long Beach Parasail. It's open seating so you just find any table and have a seat. It took a few minutes for a waiter to come by and get us menus though. And we also had to get place settings from the table next to us (the couple at that table were very nice). Food was great! I ordered Sheas sliders (with corned beef) and also got a taste of the fish and chips. Live music was playing so it was a bit loud for my liking. Good experience overall though. read more

Zero stars for this place and especially Wendy the bartender who wrongfully embarrassed my boyfriend who has lived his entire life having to deal with ignorant people like her. On Thursday around 2:40 Shenanigans, Wendy Upon greeting she automatically spoke over our request to be sat at the outside marina facing patio as we calmly began to explain the title of the perfectly legal GUIDE DOG. We have come to shenanigans as customers and as performers and not once was Lincoln a problem. WENDY who initially told us she does not care about the rightful request then proceeds to mock us and not help us in a way in front of other customers who were clearly embarrassed from her bad service. We will unfortunately communicate to the Long Beach community that shenanigans is not of support of the ADA compliance clearly because their staff is uninformed and obviously does not care, these were Wendys exact words. 4 star lunch-- excellent breezy marina front location, and fantastic/loaded Cobb salad, but the seared ahi on the ahi salad was so so salty, it was almost inedible. I honestly had been walking around downtown and it was so hot and I was exhausted , so I caught a ride here because it was one of the few places open since I was up early. Also, if you've seen the movie super troopers it's obvious why I chose this place. The service from Patrick was phenomenal- friendly and so quick! The zucchini rounds were great and there was actual flavor in the fried batter. I appreciate that. The drinks were great too, had to slow myself down! Three stars is wrong!!!!!! I'm becoming an angry Yelper. 3 stars for this place is absurd. Please give it a chance. One of the people who gave them a 1-star review gave it because of their DOG. Seriously?!?! Just because Yelp! sounds like something a dog would say, it's on YOU for bringing your dog to a pub. In the most touristy area in Long Beach. Give me a break. Go eat at Petco. Others have complained about the service. At night. In an Irish pub that served me two pints of the freshest Guinness I've had in years. I haven't had the second yet. But I'm ordering in a minute. That's right. I haven't even finished my meal and I'm Yelping. Because this place deserves better. My chowder was absolutely great. Filled with bacon, clams, potatoes, and deliciousness. The fries were perfect. And my Reuben was perfect. Did I mention the Guinness? It wasn't poured. It was properly built. And customer service? Now granted - I was here at lunch but it was on a Friday and relatively calm. But a couple came in that I think the owner must've hired to test their staff. A mother daughter team. The entire bar was open. And they sat next to me. Right next to me. I won't go into details, but these two were absolutely in the category of "you can't make this $&@# up." The bartender was solicitous, respectful, and didn't refuse to abuse the Absolut Raspberry that the mom ordered. She asked to add so much sugar and syrups to it that by the end my 12-year old Shirley Temple-loving daughter would've thought it was gross. Wow. There I go. Ranting. I ordered the fish & chips to go because I had been craving it and because I was picking up a to-go order from Louisiana Charlie's for my hubby. I have to say that the flavor of the fish was very good. I have been disappointed many times by flavorless fish when I have ordered this dish. The only draw back is that it was on the greasy side. I'm assuming it was an oil temperature issue because I let the fish sit on paper towels for at least 7 or 8 minutes when I got home trying to get rid of some of the visible oil on the batter but it was greasy throughout. Service was pretty lousy. After seating myself because the waitress couldn't be bothered, it took quite awhile to get served. She got my drink order wrong and the eggs Benedict we're terrible. Literally on the top 3 worst I've ever had. The table next to me had to get up and look for someone to help them. The only reason I give a two is because the cocktail menu is good. There's also no cell phone service in this place. After seeing two shenanigans wifi spots, I asked for the password and they said no, for employees only. If you don't have a host, then don't post a sign at the door "wait to be seated". The owners response to my review was defensive and disrespectful. My fiancé and I left the aquarium nearby and decided to drop in. It was our first time here. As soon as you enter there...security checks for ID... We sat far away from the bar because we brought our 1 year old....didn't want to kill the ambience because she had a long day and was already fussy...I'm glad we were able to sit and have a drink. The starter (appetizers) that we fell in love with was the zucchini and calamari. The fried zucchini's were the best I ever had....it was not overbattered like other places I have been to...you can taste the zucchini's and it was lightly battered but very flavorful...wanted to take some to go but our little one was ready to go. The customer service wasn't bad but wasn't very inviting...but it can also be that it was a Saturday... We questioned the bartender because the amount of liquid in our drinks looked like half of what we get anywhere else. My husband's mixed drink didn't even look like one shot of liquid in it. My half full mimosa was mostly juice. Bartender told us that they weren't mistakes, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I don't like drink Shenanigans. Let's just say they live up to their name. Terrible service. Gave them a chance to fix it and they blew it. We waited in line for about 10-15 minutes. There was no host/hostess at the welcome station throughout that time. A couple waitresses and a bus boy passed by. There was zero acknowledgment of the restless people in line. No "hey guys, sorry we are short staffed today but we'll be with you shortly" or a simple "thank you for your patience, we'll get you seated as soon as possible." NOTHING. We couldn't even inquire about the wait time. Finally, we made it to the front of the line. The bus boy told us that it will be another 10-15 minutes because the waitress is going to be busy and won't be able to serve us. We agreed to this and asked if we could sit down at least since we were tired of standing and there was no system to hold our place. We promised that we wouldn't try to order and she can just come see us when she was ready. There were several open tables btw. The bus boy was at least nice enough to run and ask the waitress but when he came back -- it was a NO. We left and went to another restaurant. I understand that sometimes restaurants are short staffed. In those situations, it becomes paramount that your employees are trained to resolve people's frustrations. Service was kind of slow and then shortly after I sat, I was told that the table was reserved. I got angry and left, despite being offered another table. Unfortunately, it would have been super close to the loud band. All it takes is a simple little sign & write "reserved." I would have never picked that table. Managed to drink two beers though before I was asked to leave the table. I guess on the bright side, it was good that I left because the beers are overpriced. At least $10.
