Delicious drinks and helpful staff. They had plenty of space inside and outside to sit. I was there for over an hour drinking coffee and reading my book.

I love everything about Sidewinder! I got a latte today and a turkey and Swiss croissant. The baristas are so talented. My drink was top notch. I love the art that is available for sale on the walls. There were a few pieces today that really were beautiful, in my opinion.

Rich coffee with great flavors and nice seating in the back! The decor is a bit drab for socializing but great to focus and get work done. The honey cardamom latte was not too sweet but had a nice flavor and creaminess

Northside's gem for coffee. Dog friendly in the lobby, tons of choices, AND happy hour (Yes! Make that coffee boozy, baby!). They have food options and will heat up a breakfast burrito just for you. Glad to have this joint in walking distance!

I have such a soft spot for Sidewinder and I'm not entirely clear why. Or why I've never reviewed them. It's a lovely little spot, lots of choices of tea and coffee. And seasonal teas! They almost always have gluten and dairy free snack options which is a great source of delight for me. Recently I had a piece of gluten and dairy free cheese cake that was basically heaven. And the folks who work there are always really personable. I love the rotating art, the people who go there are interesting and the location is really convenient. Parking is easy. Street and lot parking are very readily available. If I was a frequent coffee shop visitor, this would be high on my list of coffee shops in heavy rotation.

My nephew invited me to join him for coffee at Sidewinder Coffee. This was an establishment that I had never heard of before. Now that I have been there I highly recommend it for quick meetings. The atmosphere is comfortable, well lit, and they play music. (Jazz at first and then metal. I asked if they could return to jazz and thankfully, they did.) The coffee was delicious, hot, and could be flavored with various additives and creamers. If you are in Northside and want to enjoy coffee and conversation, the Sidewinder is just the place!

When I traveled to Cincinnati I had to stop by this coffee shop and wow! They are amazing! The service is very friendly. The coffee shop decor is beautiful and I love that they have a backyard. Not only that but I also love that they have books in the backroom for consumers to read while enjoying their coffee. But let's get down to the real reason why we are here...coffee! The coffee is absolutely delicious! Coming from NYC, you appreciate local business and this is definitely one to visit when visiting Cincinnati. It had been a few months since my visit to Cin City and I was missing Sidewinder's coffee. So I made an online order and was glad my order was delivered really fast. I can't wait to visit Cincinnati again!

This morning we tried another coffee shop. Sidewinder had a nice choice of flavored lattes. We had gingerbread & Pumpkin Spice as our choices. Both tasted pretty good. We sat in a back room where there was one questionable man who kept uttering outbursts. That kind of dampened the mood.

Spicy or sweet. What do you like to add to your drink?

The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. We were greeted both upon entry, and again when we left. We ventured in to Sidewinder because our next engagement was not open yet, and one of my children needed to use the restroom. Not wanting to use their facilities without making a purchase, I ordered their famous Mexican latte. It was everything everyone says it is. The same spices that go into the latte, as well as cream/milks, and various sweeteners are available near the door. Sweetener include syrups. Sidewinder is more than a coffee shop. Both vegan and non-vegan baked goods are stocked in both savory and sweet. Soups and sandwiches are also available. Their selection is perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is also comfortable enough to stay for a bit. Exposed brick gives this coffee shop so much character. It also serves as a great backdrop for all the art. The art is in fact for sale. Sidewinder allows you to drink locally roasted coffee while enjoying local art. Coloring books and games are available for use in the back room.

One of the best white mochas I've had in a while and i make it a mission to try new places on the regular. Super cute place, lots of seating in the back area, as well as a courtyard area with outdoor seating for warm weather! They have free wifi and a nice variety of board games to occupy your time! Prices are very decent and the food servings are surprisingly large for the price! My roommate got the hummus sandwich and loved it, a very hearty portion with fresh ingredients and a side of hen of the woods chips! (Not pictured, sorry) I will definitely be back again!

Regular Coffee And Vegan Bahama Bar

Sidewinder Coffee is a great independent coffee shop in the Northside area. It has little seating inside so you probably will be taking it to go. There's a big coffee menu. It's hard to make a choice. They also have a food menu. I had a regular coffee and a vegan Bahama bar. It's about $3 for a regular size coffee. The coffee tastes so fresh without the burnt flavor like that chain that's everywhere. It also has some alcohol. That's something you don't see often. I liked the the vegan Bahama bar. This had chocolate chips and coconuts, but it still wasn't overly sweet. It also has other heavier food items. There's a black bean burger for those willing to wait. If they had more seating room this would be even better. It's just a small coffee shop that serves mostly coffee. They do have food but it's rare to see anyone order.

Chocolate chip scone and large latte.

I met up with a coworker at Sidewinder around 9am this week. I've been to the Northside joint to pick up a quick coffee before but had never had anything to eat or ventured into their back room or patio. I got a table near an outlet. There were plenty of tables at this time but by noon came around, almost every seat was taken. I ordered a large latte and chocolate chip scone. The scones were wrapped in plastic at the front of the counter and the barista offered to heat it up for me! It was a decent size and actually pretty filling. My latte was topped with foam art and was delicious. The large was pretty big and I wasn't even able to finish it all. Sidewinder definitely has a cool Northside vibe and I enjoyed staying and working there for about 3-4 hours. I'm looking forward to nicer weather to sit out on the back patio some time.

Hazel's Nuts, a chai latte with Frangelico
    Leslie W.

Every neighborhood deserves a quality coffeehouse and I think Sidewinder is that for Northside. Now, this is not my hood. But, if it were, I would live here. It is so homey and welcoming with an array of drinks and snacks. The baristas are helpful and the space is both light and cozy. On a sunny, but frigid, afternoon of shopping in Northside, we wandered into Sidewinder for a hot drink before dinner. They have a happy hour wit hot, boozy drinks, so I had to try one! After talking with the barista about the options, I went with Hazel's Nuts. It's a chai latte with Frangelico liqueur. For just a little more than a regular, chai latte, I had a happy hour treat bursting with spice infused - hazelnut flavor. The chai latte, which was excellent, was elevated by the liqueur. The warmth of the drink, both temperature and spice, enveloped me. I was in a cloud of clove, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, and hazelnuts. The liqueur gave it a little kick and got me back on track for my Saturday night. I visit Northside every time I go to Cincinnati and I will definitely come back here. Next time, I'm getting a snack to go with my drink. The sweets and savories on the menu looked delicious and the prices were less than what you'd find at a chain.

We got there at around 9:10 and were first offered a seat inside but it was so loud in there the hostess couldn't hear what we were saying and vice versa, so we got a spot on the patio. Our sever was very nice, but service was VERY slow for a Sunday night. She told us they were busy the night before because of a conference and they were still in town that day, so the bar inside was busy. After ordering our drinks it took about 15 minutes to get them, and she didn't even take our food order when she came back despite us being ready. We waited, no problem. We ordered a 'Spice Bag' and it was decent but took about 25 minutes to get to us despite being potatoes and onions in a bag. For 40 minutes we waited for our food and when it came out it was terrible. I ordered the Fish and Chips and Caesar Salad to share and both were mediocre at best and inedible at worst. If you come here: DO NOT GET THE FISH AND CHIPS. They were battered nicely, but aside from that the fish didn't feel fully cooked and tasted like nothing, with a hint of dirty water. The tartar sauce seemed homemade, but didn't have any flavour. The coleslaw was boring and watery, with no flavour. Our server never checked up on us during the meal, so I never got the chance to ask for something else, so I was just stuck with the fries it came with. I know what good fish and chips should taste like and it's not that. Others ordered the curry and the wings and seemed to enjoy it, which is nice. However, 30 minutes after placing our order we were told that the kitchen "ran out of rice" and they asked us what we would like to replace it. When the curry came out, it was missing the naan but again, server never came to check on us so we didn't notice until the end of our meal. Overall, it's a cute place that feels Irish, but service is slow and food is terrible. Our server was lovely and it wasn't her fault that she was busy with tables, but management should be doing more when they know there's a conference in town to set their servers up for success.

Both were friendly & acknowledged the birthday girl in our party. Atmosphere is great. You could comfortably walk in wearing jeans or come dressed up. Neither would be over or under dressed. The menu has juuuust the right amount of options, which is great! Heather was our waitress & while she was kind, her service skills were lacking. Granted we weren't at a Michelin Star Restaurant, but we also weren't at a dive bar. There was an endless amount of awkward reaching through, over & around when refilling drinks. There were a couple of instances where she actually touched our shoulders to nudge us to the side so she could reach through. Totally not okay during service at a restaurant nicer than a dive bar. We ordered the cheese sticks starter which were so yummy! Highly recommend! A couple of us ordered the Cesar side salad & were highly disappointed. The dressing tasted like it was mayonnaise heavy & then watered down by lettuce that wasn't dried after being rinsed. Even adding tons of extra pepper didn't help. The lettuce also tasted like it has been too wet for too long. The lobster mac was ordered in the group & it was tasty but soooo greasy. So, order with caution. We had the Black N Bleu salad in the group & that was good. The Atlantic Salmon was another dinner ordered & the crust seasoning was delicious! Sadly, the salmon was a bit overdone. It does come with a lobster cream sauce, which confused me. It was only so so & I definitely skipped it entirely. The steamed broccoli was done to perfection though. Not soggy & not too crunchy. We also had the 12oz ribeye & that was great! Flavorful, cooked perfectly! I will add though, that the steak knives need an upgrade. I really wanted to love this place, but we won't return on our next trip to Newport/Cincinnati.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.
