I've been looking for a new handyman, so I requested a quote from Boost to hang a simple upholstered queen headboard on my wall. I provided numerous pictures of the item to make sure that he could see what would be involved. I was shocked at the prices he quoted - 99.99 to hang it on the wall, $89.99 to assemble it on the bed. Another handyman quoted $80 to hang it, which seemed closer to a reasonable price. My retired handyman would have charged somewhere between $50-75 for this job. Needless to say, I hung it myself. The whole project took a half-hour for a novice like me using tools and supplies that I had in my garage. I've updated my review because shortly after posting this review I received a series of text messages asking that I remove my review. I'm including screenshots of those requests as well as his earlier response when I told him that I had a better estimate from another handyman. Best handyman ever! Tuck went above and beyond to make sure he met all of our expectations. We had a big list of things to accomplish and he made sure that each thing was completed within a timely manner and with great quality! I contacted many handymans in yelp because I had a tight deadline to complete everything and Tuck was always available to answer all my questions and did it with a smile! He was a bit rude to be honest, emailed me that he had a bigger job, so he pushed my job back two weeks. I agreed because I wasn't in a major rush. My husband and I just want to thank Thuc Le for putting up our 86 inch Christmas gift to ourselves!! We got a cheap and flimsy bracket sent with our new TV and Thuc Le was hell no! Our tv would have been on the ground!! He got us a heavy duty wall mount and the difference was incredible! There was so many unexpected complications like bumping into a thick wooden wall behind th drywall and he was so patient to avoid the gas and water pipe line. TL;DR - I'm updating my review to reflect the fact that I eventually did get my laptop back ... and it's *mostly* working. __________________________ I'm really torn here, not entirely sure how to rate this situation. I think three stars is probably too lenient, but do want to post a follow up. After my initial review was left, Thuc contacted me through Yelp saying he'd lost his phone and his ability to access his client information. That's why he failed to get back to me. So bad business practices aside, at least I was back in contact with him. After a conference in mid February, I met with Thuc as he said my laptop was finished. We met at a coffee shop and I was fully expecting to take delivery of my machine. But alas, that was not to be! He hadn't yet formatted the hard drive to play nicely with the new MB, nor reinstalled Windows. I just can not for the life of me understand why he wanted to meet when the job was clearly still not done. I just don't get it. Anyway, eventually the job wrapped up and I got my laptop back after 6 months (!!!). He installed a new battery (and those fans) at no cost to me, and waived his own labor costs. I went home and tested the machine out and there are now issues with the keyboard (some function keys not working, touchpad buttons not working) and all drivers and Windows updates are in place. He confirmed that he had not tested the keyboard. Ugh. I'm guessing there are some bent connection pins. I told him I would not be having him address it ....I will take my laptop somewhere else. So, to sum up, Thuc has good intentions. He tried to make everything right. But, I still can't get past the unreliability or the timeframe it took for me to get my property back. Just being honest here, I will never be a returning customer. read more

Tuck can do ANYTHING!!!!! We just moved and needed a handyman to install flooring, fans and a few other things. Tuck responded to my message very quickly. He was able to start the job immediately and followed through to the end. He is fair with pricing and does quality work. He takes a lot of care and was constantly concerned with our satisfaction.
