I used this company in mid -May and I requested for 3 movers. These guys were slow and took way too long to complete. Included in my contract were for them To disassemble and assemble from old place to new place. The only item that was disassembled was one television. In my contract it was for two TVs, bed frame and assemble at the new place. We were moving from a studio apartment into a 3 bedroom apartment and they took 6hours in total. When they got to the new place, they took their time, one of them was on the phone and at one point missing in action while my stuff were sitting by the elevators and no one was in the truck. At that point, I no longer wanted them to assembled furniture because they had poor time management and poor communication. I had to call another moving company and the services I received from them was amazing. It was night and day such a difference. The other moving company were more professional and didn't complain about unloading and loading my items. The Sinatra movers complained instead of coming up with a better strategy to manage their time. I've emailed them to file a claim and no one responded back. I'm sure if I wanted to use their service they would've responded back immediately. read more

We recently made a move that was approx 60 miles from the old place to the new place. I was terrified that it would cost a small fortune. The last move I had which was a 1/4 of the distance was in the thousands. Also I was moving from a house into a townhouse that had a tight alleyway and was certain the moving truck wouldn't fit. But Sinatra movers made a difficult move so much easier, not only was the cost close to half of my other move, but these guys were much more efficient, quick and professional. VERY LONG POST AHEAD: One star for this review is generous, and I am only giving one star because Yelp does not allow Zero stars. I don't even know where to begin with how dissatisfied I was with Sinatra Movers. I originally asked for an early morning move out time, because we wanted to be done by late afternoon. The manager originally said they had 2-5pm. I had to let our apartment manager know that, and they were only able to reserve the elevator at 2pm due to other moves. The next day (move out day) the manager let us know that they had 10:30am, but unfortunately movers could only come earliest 1pm because of the elevator. I felt that some of the movers were very slow, and they were smoking cigarettes during our PAID moving time which I found to be absolutely unacceptable, as we had a toddler with us and they came back into our apartment smelling of cigarettes. The manager told us the move was estimated to take 5 hours and I have that in writing. After 5 hours, the moving truck BROKE DOWN and the manager tried to force us to pay a $200 fee to leave our things in the truck overnight. I said there was absolutely NO way in HELL we were paying for the inconvenience. After some back and forth, they took our things in the truck overnight, and we had to pay an additional 3 hours in the morning for the continued move AFTER the manager said it would take no longer than 5 hours. ALL of our things were boxed up. The movers did not box ONE thing for us and tape it up. We could not wait to be finished with this company. We will NEVER use them again. We were so dissatisfied with the unpleasant service. The only kind thing were two movers named Jairo and Serge. The actual owner, Serge, not to be confused with the nice mover, is a horrible business man. Would never use this company. I'm only filling this out to warn others. Do not trust the positive reviews. We hired Sinatra for their impeccable reviews during COVID. They sent two movers. One was incredibly professional. For the other, it was his first day. He dropped multiple boxes directly in front of me, took three hours past their seven hour estimate, and I had to constantly remind him to pull up his bandana that he was using as a mask. In the span of the move, our fridge was dropped and a piece broke off of it. No apologies, no attempt to fix it. After the move, we contacted Sinatra to tell them how unsatisfied we were with it. They offered us 1/20 of a refund on the price and then said we could "fill out a claim if we wanted." It was this complete lack of any form of customer service that led me to write this review. The worst part was that they later revoked the 1/20th refund and said "that offer is off the table." In addition, when we asked what their COVID guidelines to their movers were after the move, or if they supplied masks (the bare minimum) to their movers, they didn't even answer us. They just sat on the other end of the phone in silence and then said "Wow, the movers should have known better." This very Yelp page says their movers wear masks and gloves. They don't. No gloves were worn, and we had to remind one to wear a mask multiple times. The company was not only negligent in our move, our time, our goods, and our safety, they were completely absent from a customer service standpoint after they had been paid. Whatever you do, go with any other company. We were so excited to find a company with such good reviews, but we didn't experience one rogue employee who made our experience awful, we experienced multiple. According to the person on the phone, they actually "brought our claim up in an all-team meeting" and they still did nothing. I posted this on Google Reviews, as well. They answered saying we should file a claim and that they "can't refund money for nothing." When you go to file a claim, it has nothing to do with the service you received it the move being longer than quoted or about training team members on your dime. It's literally about things that are broken. So this company clearly does not care about COVID safety. We have not received any email asking us to get on a call. read more

Just moved my 1000sq appartment to my new house. was looking around on yelp and found these guys. im very cautious when it comes to movers so i checked that they dont sub out, they got thier own truck, insurances and packing equipment. The wife and I couldent be more satisfied, the crew of 3 guys arrived exactly on time and got to work right away. packed everything with care, made sure i am aware and asked for instructions as the work proceeded. (They moved a 50 gallon fish tank for us, which is not a easy job to do) Unpacking was super easy and dare i say fun?! haha I explained the name of each room and just directed every box that came down from the truck to its location. I want to preface this review stating that I have used Sinatra in the past and had a good experience with them the first time - the team worked in a timely efficient manner and did forget to put one part of my bed together but came back to fix the issue. My past experience with them (May 2022) was beyond unacceptable. My neighbor and I moved together from two separate apartments into two separate apartments (same building) and the guys showed up completely unprepared. We asked Sinatra if we should use separate movers/teams or if it would make sense to do it together - which they agreed they could be handled together. We both gave extremely detailed lists of what needed to be PACKED and moved. We both actually ended up packing almost all of our things prior to the move because we had some extra time we weren't anticipating so the only thing that needed to be packed were our kitchens and some of my clothes that were on hangers. I actually also sold my big furniture pieces before we moved so we had fewer items than expected. They showed up with only 12 boxes to pack TWO apartments up. Thankfully we chose to pack most of our stuff or this would have been even more of a disaster. It took them 5 hours to pack up my 400 SF studio apartment (last move took 3 hours to pack every single item and unpack and I moved out of a 2 bed and had living room furniture and bedroom furniture they had to move) It took 3 hours for TWO guys to pack 4 cabinets and 2 kitchen drawers (think studio size). I could have done it quicker myself. When I unpacked my boxes I had kitchen supplies packed with a printer and plunger and most things were not individually wrapped. The night ended at 11pm and I only had a mattress in my new apartment - no clothes, no underwear, no soap etc. They claimed they would hold my stuff over night and continue the next day and finish the next day at NO EXTRA CHARGE. This was not the case. I want to add that there was always 1-2 movers standing around doing NOTHING or very little and acted as if they didn't know what to do. Two of them would disappear to the truck for over 30-40 min at a time (way more time than needed to put something in the truck). They will claim that there was a language barrier (there was a barrier the first time and no issues then) that we requested the incorrect truck size, that our apartments were not, in fact, fully packed and ready to go... gaslighting to the extreme. They ended up trying to charge us for a 17.5 hour move ($3500) for something that should have taken no more than 10 based on my previous experience with THEM. When we were obviously being overcharged for the fiasco they consider professionalism we asked to speak to the manager about it which immediately was escalated to they're refusing to pay and they started to threaten to call the cops...we never once said we didn't want to pay (and actually tipped the guys well AND bought them dinner). They also ruined a set of $500 chairs, the patio set, and one of the vibration plates that I was never compensated for as they packed them incorrectly/ in a rushed manner... Please do not use them, their customer service is beyond horrendous and their employee even admitted that they will underquote and over promise time and time again even though they run into issues like these constantly. The fact that their own employee is stuck in the middle of their dysfunction and inability (lack of desire) to properly quote and gauge moves speaks volumes about the company as a whole. read more

Sinatra moving deserves the 5 star review. I had done some searching and found them through yelp. I reached out the night before I needed the service and it was straight forward. Sonya helped me out with setting up the move. Put down a small deposit that goes towards the balance and got a confirmation email with a window of when the movers would head over. The day of the move, Hector who goes by "H" calls to tell me more or less when he's going to be there and kept me updated. I apologize but I didn't get the second workers name. But both were professional and went straight to business. They followed instructions really well on how I wanted certain items to be moved. These guys definitely did not slack at all. The bottom line is RUN!! I would give ZERO stars except that one of the movers was very nice and tried his best to be helpful. We hired this company to move our daughter's belongings from a 1 BR apartment in Santa Barbara to Los Angeles after requesting quotes from several companies. The hourly rate at Sinatra was slightly less than the competitors and reviews were good, so we went with them. BIG MISTAKE! First of all, their estimate was $1600 which seemed perhaps a little high but not unreasonable, and the final bill ended up being over $2600, and only if we paid in cash!! I don't expect an estimate to be spot on, but being off by $1000 (82%) is downright criminal! There were several instances of bait and switch involved, like the undisclosed fact that they charged double for the driving time (time AND separate charge of $5 per mile) and time and a half for any hours over 8. The reason the estimate was so bad?---they sent two guys, only one of which actually worked, so the job took at least twice as long as it should have (with the rate based on hours, including travel). I feel really sorry for the good guy (Oleksandr) actually, but frankly it's not easy to be generous considering how much it cost us! His partner Adam dragged his way through the day, only spoke Russian (or pretended to), did not cooperate when asked him to move certain items first (like stacking boxes into the truck first to save space), refused to take certain items like houseplants, damaged several things, left several critical items behind, and Adam ended the day by screaming and cursing at my daughter then demanded extra money or refused to leave my daughter's new place. They arrived late, were very slow and didn't pack many items they were contracted to. My husband ended up packing most of the kitchen by himself. They charged a large amount for plastic wrap, using probably twice what was needed to wrap the furniture. By the time they left (we weren't informed about the 1.5 x rate until they had goofed around for at least 6 hours), everyone was anxious and upset and in their "rush" (and having "no room left") they ended up skipping whole rooms (the pantry and the dining room), leaving them behind. One item moved was a large 50 gallon saltwater reef aquarium. Before they arrived, my daughter removed all of the water and carefully packed all of the living organisms into plastic bags in buckets so they could survive the trip, assuming she could reassemble everything immediately upon arriving at her new place. The whole thing is a pretty fragile and very expensive set-up. By the end of an already long exhausting day, she became very upset and frustrated that no matter how many times she asked the movers to be careful, Adam continued to move the parts of the tank with careless disregard; this is what resulted in him screaming and cursing at her, calling her a crazy bitch and worse. To add injury to insult, possibly thinking they were trash the movers left two critical pieces of the tank behind, forcing her to make a trip back to Santa Barbara (a six hour trip by bus and train) to get them and causing many hundreds of dollars of corals and other organisms to die in the interim. N.B. The movers also informed us that of the regular $129 per hour rate, they receive only $19 per hour, so I guess I'm not surprised that they would try to stretch the job out! Again, I think the bosses at Sinatra are criminal! If this doesn't make you run screaming from this company, don't say you weren't warned! RESPONSE TO SINATRA'S REPLY: The reply from Sinatra is pathetic. We weren't offered a third mover, so anything caused by inadequate help is their fault (obviously if Adam had worked they may not have needed a third). The truck was not packed at all efficiently, which is why they claimed to be full and unable to take my daughter's plants (AND the contents of the dining room/ pantry plus critical parts of the aquarium). It's completely ridiculous to think that the contents of a one bedroom apartment could not fit in such a large truck. Second, the charge that ANYONE spent the day insulting or screaming at the movers, much less on the basis of their race or ethnicity, is completely false; there was an argument at the destination when the aquarium was being mishandled (again!), and remarks were directed only at the incompetence and disrespect shown by Adam. Regardless, Adam should have remained professional and civil if not polite (again, Oleksandr was very nice and helpful, trying his best to smooth things over regarding both the insults AND the price). Third, my daughter rode with us in our car, NOT in the truck with the movers, so there was no possible interactionout of our earshot, yet two grown men needed a day off to deal with trauma?? The comment about drugs(?) was just gratuitous and nasty. Lastly, although we appreciate the kindness allowing us to postpone the move by one day, that doesn't begin to compensate for our horrible experience. read more

Dimetri and his buddy (whose name I'll butcher if I try to spell), were amazing! They helped me move out of a shared storage unit into a studio in 2 hours! The storage unit was organized, but packed full and they navigated around everything that was staying in the unit very carefully so as not to damage anything. They were super careful with my things too. Even booking these guys was easy. I called for quotes from 2 other companies, and Sinatra was the fastest to get back to me. I had some trouble understanding their accents, but that's just me and my dumb ears. They sent email and text confirmations, and they called the day of to let me know their ETA. Their rates are very comparable to other movers, and even though I had to pay for 3 hours, it was not much more expensive then if I had done it myself. It also would've taken all day if I had done it myself. No stress! 10/10 would hire Sinatra movers again. read more
