It's been about a week and I'm still full after eating at this restaurant. Our family friend wanted to treat us out to dinner at this local spot, known for there Chinese multi course meals and offerings. They have live seafood in tanks greeting you as soon as you walk through the door, which guarantees freshness. We chose a Dungeness crab and lobster and the kitchen whipped up at least 10 courses, to be honest I lost count after five and stopped taking pictures because the dishes just kept coming out and there was an abundance of food for our group of 15. The elders in the group were making remarks of how salty the dishes were, however, I do believe it's because of their own medicated taste buds lol. For the rest of us, it tasted just fine and was prepared and presented nicely. The service was incredible, we had 2 to 3 servers waiting on us in the private room, and they were so efficient. Every time that the dish would dwindle down to half of its serving, they would quickly swap it out with a smaller dish, and that was thoughtful. The lady waitress was often coming by refilling our waters, and ensuring that our little plate was clean and a mountain of shells did not top over. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious as I mentioned there is several private rooms for parties and gatherings, it can get a little bit cold in there so bring a jacket. We really did enjoy our experience here and will consider coming back the next time we're in Houston and have a large party to accommodate

This was my first time back in years. Wing Kee is our go to spot for bbq but they were on vacation. We came here as our backup. Got the cha siu (dry and too lean) and the roast pig (decent). It was pretty empty inside on a Saturday afternoon which was sad to see. I remember when our family friend was a cook here and we'd dine in and it was booked/busy.

    BBQ Pork.

Pick up my BBQ Pork, whoever slice or cut this should put down the knife. I asked if they can cut it thin because the pork is too lean. They Pack it so quick without showing it to me. It's dry and rubbery . Very disappointed.

Sinh Sinh is the OG Vietnamese spot. Growing up, my mom would always grab food to-go from here. It's not the best Vietnamese food, but it does satisfy. Also, they open til 2am. On Friday and Saturdays, til 3am! Love that! Service is good, and the food always comes out fast. The place is a bit dated, but that's what keeps its nostalgic charm. We ordered the imperial egg rolls, garlic string beans, bò lúc lác, drunken noodles, and bánh bột chiên. Everything tasted yummy, especially the bò lúc lác. The imperial egg rolls are so addicting. You always have to order the garlic string beans, it's a staple. Have you ever seen this place during lunch on a Sunday? It's packed! Many Vietnamese families eat here on Sundays. You should see the line for roasted duck, roasted pork, steamed chicken, and BBQ pork during holidays. My mom would be in that line! I would always look forward to her coming home from Sinh Sinh.

Steak Tips With French Fried Rice

Amazing steak tips and french fried rice! If you ever need great food late at night and don't feel like cooking or eating fast food I highly recommend Sinh Sinh and they steak tips & french fried rice! They're great at normal hours too but in Houston where many restaurants close surprisingly early this spot is a blessing for late night eats or when you get back late at night from a trip! Service great, they're quick, nice and attentive. The restaurant is lit well and clean from what I've seen all the times I've been there.

I usually go here with my family for their seafood dinners which are quite pricey but worth it for special occasions! Their lobster, scallops and crab are really fresh and seasoned super well. They had calamari and walnut shrimp with it too which I love. The workers are nice and will switch your plates for new ones if you are eating seafood since your plate will get full fast.

The food is good. But the service is not that great. The people are not that friendly and not attentive to the customer. But if you are just basically wants food that is good this is one of those places. The marinated duck is very good and very juicy. The squid in black bean sauce is also good and the beef with scallions as well abd yhe fish maw soup with crab meat is awesome.

Our work ordered a bunch of food from here for a lunch meeting. A lot of food stayed warm so no need to reheat. Everything was amazing except for the eggrolls, but that might just be my personal preference. I'm not a big fan of this style of eggrolls. I really enjoyed the pork ribs and beef flat noodles.

Located in the same bustling plaza as H-Mart, Sinh Sinh offers a casual Chinese dining experience with plenty of parking nearby. If you're craving a late-night meal, this spot is a reliable option (compared to Tan Tan) now that FuFu closes earlier. General Tso's Chicken: Decent but unremarkable. While it hits the usual sweet-and-crispy notes, it doesn't stand out. Chinese Broccoli in Oyster Sauce: A great veggie dish. The broccoli ism sautéed, and the oyster sauce pooled at the bottom lets you control the intensity--ideal for those who like a balance of flavor. Seafood Noodle Soup: Simple yet comforting. The clear broth and fresh seafood make this a light, easy-to-digest option for late-night cravings.

Four stars because they're open till 2 in the morning. I had the beef stew which was not so much a stew that most of us are familiar with. More like a beef noodle soup. I wish it had a few more chunks of beef and a lot more vegetables. There was a lot of beef tendon which is great for getting that savory flavor as well as providing collagen. I like that they were able to substitute rice noodles instead of wheat noodles. The servers were busy because of the late night crowd but it was still good.

Been dining at sinh sinh for so long that it's become the designated spot for birthday dinners, grad dinners, and other events. It's a great place to go for large parties as they have family style dishes and lots of dining space. We like to get the salted fish and shrimp fried rice, egg rolls (SO CRISPY), fried squid, and sizzling beef. This time, we tried the roasted duck, and it was delicious. The buns were soft, pillowy, sweet, and the duck was tender. Combining everything together - the bun, duck, green onions, and sweet sauce created the best lil sandwich. The fried rice always slaps, just make sure to eat it with the hot peppers on the side. It makes it taste even better!! Service is usually just straightforward. They come to the table to get your order, bring the food, refill waters, and hand the check. FYI, 18% gratuity automatically applied for parties over 4 I believe. Ample parking!

Welcoming attentive staff offering a classy dining lounge for families and friends. It's definitely worth the effort and your taste buds will be happy. A true Authentic cuisine. We enjoyed wontons, veggie egg rolls as the appetizer to start with hot tea. The fried Prawns, roasted duck, and shrimp fried rice was delicious! Highly recommended for anyone who loves Asian food.

Amongst the many Vietnamese-Chinese places throughout Bellaire Chinatown, few have amassed a reputation as Sinh Sinh. Their share of the local fanfare has been a big part of their longevity, as they have become a perpetual late night destination and a reliable option for Asian comfort food and fresh seafood. Sinh Sinh is the Viet-Sino term for 星星 or "Star Star" (#1) The food hardly has any star quality to it but it's still one of the better options when nothing else is open. Their popularity has made them synonymous with the Bellaire Chinatown dining scene. Over the years they have expanded their dining area as well as their menu, effectively catering to everyone and everything. One can bring a large group or come solo, they have plenty of room. Parking is also easy, which has not been the case for many places in the neighborhood. A lot of Cantonese items are available here, but none of them are particularly spectacular. Beef chow fun and scrambled egg with shrimp are easy go-to's for me, and I think their seafood is one of the underrated aspects of their menu. They also have a number of Cantonese roast meats but none have really stood out. The ladder also applies to their wonton noodle and many of their fried rice combinations. It's worth noting that the more intoxicated one is, the better all this food will taste. (#2) Service is just okay. Vietnamese, Cantonese and Mandarin are all spoken by the staff. They take credit cards and have a dedicated parking lot. They are the busiest on the weekends, but the late nights are usually the best for people watching and for satiating the late night appetite. ___________ (#1) "Sing Sing" for all the Canto heads. (#2) Just sayin.

I recently opted for the Diamond AYCE set, and it was hands-down one of the best dining experiences I've had.  The Diamond tier is worth every penny. It unlocks the entire menu, giving you access to the most premium cuts and decadent sides. Here is the breakdown of why this spot is a must-visit: The Meat & Seafood * Japanese A5 Wagyu: The star of the show. The marbling is incredible, and it literally melts the moment it hits your tongue.  * Australian & American Wagyu: Even the "lower" tier meats here are exceptional. The ribeye and brisket were fresh, tender, and flavorful.  * Premium Seafood: The Diamond set includes a fresh seafood platter featuring succulent lobster (Boston and Norway), sweet shrimp, and sashimi-grade salmon that was incredibly fresh.  Signature Sides & Appetizers The Diamond set isn't just about the pot; the appetizers are high-end restaurant quality: * Wagyu Bone Marrow: Rich, creamy, and decadent--a rare find for an AYCE spot.  * Foie Gras Toast & Wagyu Nigiri: These elevated starters set the tone for a luxury meal. * Truffle Wagyu Beef Don: If you have any room left, this bowl is packed with umami. The Atmosphere & Service The service is top-notch. The staff is attentive, constantly refilling broths (the Sukiyaki and Spicy Miso are personal favorites) and clearing empty plates without you ever having to flag them down. The 90-minute limit is more than enough time to get through several rounds of premium cuts.

I enjoyed the green house milk tea dispenser, and the wagyu meat did not disappoint. The bone marrow with the toasted bread was one of my favorites too! I also like how they sell REAL coconut juice from an actual coconut. The coconut is sweet instead of aged! Upside: most of the drinks are AYCE drinks, some are charged per drink. They announce 'last call' -- when final orders are made for each table before the restaurant closes. I believe it's a good way for customers to pace themselves before leaving near closing. Downside: I don't know if it's been fixed, but the labels at the sauce/veggie (?) table aren't completely visible, so it's hard to identify what kind of sauce is displayed. Service is also a bit delayed/flawed during busy times, so I suggest looking at the traffic. It's not horrendous or frustratingly slow/flawed, just they are busy or deliever the wrong order because of the amount of people they have to serve and keep track of.

The food at Shabu En is so good! The service is very thoughtful also and they're very attentive. The decorations in the restaurant is also very nice and it's very clean too. When you walk in, there is a waiting area where you can sit while waiting to be seated. They also provide some water and snacks in the front while waiting. It also has a photo spot near the front. For the food, there is a big selection. They have lots of soup bases, and it's possible to switch soup bases if you feel tired of the one you started with. I tried a few and they were all good. The flavors start to mix after you put in your hotpot ingredients, so I would suggest drinking some of the soup beforehand. My favorite broth I tried was the duck broth. You can really taste the duck and it's the most flavorful to me, and someone in the group said you can really taste the five spice powder (I couldn't but I liked it a lot). The tonkatsu is pretty decent and tastes like what you expect. I tried the Shabu En special broth, and it tastes like dashi soup. Very standard and pretty good broth. In my opinion, the sukiyaki broth is good for short term broth and just dipping your meat temporarily. To me the sweetness overpowered the soy sauce flavor, but it's still very good. You get your meat by ordering with the server, but they come by very often and it comes out very quickly that you don't really notice a long period without any meat. At the center where you grab veggies and the sauce bar, there are sections where you can get drinks, such as tea and Vietnamese coffee, which is in addition to the drinks you can order off the menu. There is also a small dessert station but it's a must try! It has a snow shaved ice, and it has a toppings bar next to it with toppings and different sauces you can put on it. Overall, it's a really good AYCE restaurant that's definitely worth trying out.

Service was fast, and what seemed like a seemingly small building was actually bustling. We ordered the Best of Both Worlds option and requested the Spicy Bone Marrow along with the Tomato Broth; they complement each other quite well, with the Spicy Bone Marrow being our personal favorite. It is definitely spicy, but nothing that I couldn't handle. The Tomato Broth was delicious as well, but added a nice sweetness to our meal. We chose the Classic All-You-Can-Eat lunch deal, and ordered a plate of the Natural Prime-Aged Lamb, the Hand Sliced Beef Short Plate, the Marinated Garlic Beef, and the Pork Belly; I can't say I'm a huge fan of how they divided the meat selections, however, since I could get premium meat elsewhere without being limited. But overall, the meat was of decent quality, and the buffet offered various options. Compared to other hot pot places, they even had a section where you could serve yourself egg rolls, white rice/fried rice, and stir-fried noodles, though I can't speak to the quality... very much buffet-quality if you catch my drift, but still lovely nonetheless. Similarly, you can fetch your own iced drinks and dessert too. I do wish Happy Lamb's sauce station had special pre-made flavors or instructions for making them, much like Shabu Zone or Haidilao; sometimes I don't trust myself to freestyle my own sauce. There are some cross-contamination concerns as well, since there'd be about 4 tongs at foot/pants level, but at least 9 food options (e.g., noodles, dumplings, veggies) to choose from. Not sure if other people share the same sentiment, but I guess they all get boiled in the end anyway. Overall, it's a decent option if you're in Downtown Houston! But I wouldn't call Happy Lamb my go-to spot.

Shabu Zone is my FAVORITE shabu/hot pot spot in Houston, hands down. In terms of consistency, food,…read moreflavor, and service, it is the best. Big space so good for any occasion! Food: 9/10 Meats: I always get numbers 1, 2, 5, and 6. The meat cuts 1 and 2 are my favorite on the dinner menu because they are so tender and not too fatty. 5 and 6 are my favorites on the lunch menu. Sauce Bar: This is where shabu zone differentiates itself. The sauce bar is not your typical make yourself hot pot sauce, but they also have premade sauces that are delicious. The garlic sauce, black garlic, spicy ponzu, wasabi and corn are amazing. I just can't express enough how amazing it is to have the sauce bar and banchan bar. Banchan Bar: My favorite part of shabu zone and something that keeps me coming back. The onion jalapeno banchan is amazing, sweet and delicious perfect balance to the meat. The kimchi selection is great! I love making wraps with the white radish rounds too. Dessert: Good ice cream selection like their green tea and red bean flavors. Also, the coffee flavor is very good. The Vietnamese fruit cocktail che is also a nice touch that my parents love getting. Vegetable/Noodle options: Good options, I love the pumpkin and broccolli, watercress, spinach, enoki mushroom too! Lots of seafood options and different noodles. The hand pulled korean flat noodles are amazing. Broth: Broth is good, with sukiyaki being a favorite of mine along with Miso and Tonkotsu (vegetarian is nice as well). While the broths here are not as flavorful as rival shabu places like (Shabu En), it is good enough and does not hinder the experience. Overall, I will stand by my love for shabu zone. May be busy and hard to get a table at times though because of how popular they are.

There is a never ending menu with endless amount of meat for the grill and for your soup and sides for your meal and also have a good variety of noodles for your soup. The atmosphere was very shadowy and had a speakeasy vibe. They also sell mystery box plushies and have a Pokémon vending machines with a wide variety if you like collecting them. As for the price its very reasonable and is such a vibe.

The service was top notch Kevin our waiter was perfect, he explained exactly what us first timers needed to know (we opted for the BBQ vs Hot Pot) and gave excellent amount of service without interrupting too often, but without ignoring. And now my favorite part the food.... We ordered the following for our meat selections: Prime Beef Brisket, Spicy Beef Bulgogi, Garlic Chicken, Pork Belly, Cumin Lamb and Garlic Shrimp. For veggies: Shiitake mushrooms, Mung Bean Sprouts, Onions, Bamboo Shoots, Eggplant, Zucchini and we topped it off with a pineapple drink. My friend said the veal and the pork belly were both delicious, I don't eat either so my review is based on everything else. OMG the flavors were so packed into the meats they needed nothing else. The spicy beef bulgogi was by far my absolute favorite (I polished off two full servings myself) the spice profile was so perfect that it enhanced the beef without masking the natural flavor and the use a good quality beef as well so any toughness is due to your own over cooking which still didn't happen. The shrimp and chicken came in tied for second place for flavor bomb, I'm pretty sure they marinate this stuff for days for it to taste so full of flavor! There is also a fully stocked "Sauce Bar" with so many different kinds of sauces and additions. The inside is very large, but not loud and they have a full bar for those who wish to sit there. If you haven't tried them yet GO! You and your stomach will thank me.

The restaurant was…read moreclean, well-organized, and the atmosphere felt comfortable for both small groups and solo diners. The broth was flavorful but not overly salty, which worked perfectly for cooking the meats and vegetables. The beef slices were thin and fresh, cooking quickly in the broth and staying tender. The vegetable platter was generous and included a nice variety like cabbage, mushrooms, tofu, and noodles. One thing I liked was the sauce bar--there were several options like ponzu, sesame sauce, garlic, and chili so you could customize the flavor exactly how you want. Service was friendly and attentive. The staff explained how to cook the ingredients properly, which is helpful if you're new to shabu-shabu. The only small downside was that it can get a bit busy during peak dinner hours, so you might have to wait for a table. Overall, it's a great spot if you're craving fresh hot pot and a casual dining experience. I'd definitely come back again.

I did try all of the meats and it was a lot of food but every cut was great! Nice open restaurant with plenty of seating and arranged so you feel as if you have your own space. The only reason I dropped it by a star was that there was only one person waiting on a large portion of the guests. She really tried hard and this is not a knock on her. But even though it was a slow night she struggled to keep up at times. I would have given it 4.5 if I had the choice.
