Seniors are supposed to get free drinks. It's disappointing when they're obviously well over 60 and the cashier charged them for drinks. When questioned because the total didn't make sense the cashier actually questioned if my grandpa and grandma (91 and 85) were over 60. The restaurant also failed to give all four of us salads. I wonder how often they do this. Drinks have a very high profit margin and I'm concerned how often they charge seniors just to make a buck. read more

Don't expect anything fancy here, but a lot of food at a good value. I went here for dinner recently and it seems like the prices were about the same as the last time since I ate at Sizzler a few years ago. Sizzler offers steak, seafood, chicken, burgers, sandwiches and the endless salad bar. Beer and wine available. The prices are reasonable and you get a good bang for the buck. The endless salad bar by itself as a meal costs $7.99, but I ordered a TV special, for $2 more ($9.99) I ordered the Malibu Chicken with baked potato including the endless salad bar and an ice water with lemon. Normally, you need to pay an extra $3.99 to add the salad bar to the meal. It's order and pay first and then find a seat and the server will come around and take your order receipt and bring out the drinks and meal. The endless salad bar comprises of greens, cold salads, garnishes, dressings, fruit, and chilled desserts (jello, mousse) plus a taco bar with fixins' such as shells, tortillas, fried tortilla bowls, rice, beans, carnitas, salsa, cheese sauce, and guacamole. Hot foods on the bar were chicken nuggets, fried corn, pasta with sauce, meatballs, soups, cobbler, bread pudding, and soft serve ice cream. The food on the salad bar was not anything spectacular, but not bad either. The Malibu Chicken is a breaded chicken cutlet topped with cheese and ham and I actually loaded my works baked potato (butter, sour cream & chives) at the salad bar with cheese, broccoli & bacon bits. The service is wonderful. We have been coming here for decades and hopefully will continue..... Unfortunately I do need to let the management know of something I saw during my visit today . It was lunchtime about 1:15. We ordered the salad bar lunch as we usually do . After my salad, I then went to the warm foods area to see what they have.... As I was looking over the buffet, an employee had a clear water jug . He was pouring some water into the nacho cheese and stirring it a couple of times to make the cheese liquidated. ( cheese maybe was sitting there too long?) He then also poured water into the tomatoe sauce with meatballs and was stirring that over and over adding water here and there! Buy then I was grossed out and very surprised ! We left shortly feeling quite disappointed that this is happening ..... I am hoping this yelp goes far to the management where this will be taken seriously. read more

It's been such a long time since I've been in a Sizzler, it exceeded our expectations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and the salad bar/buffet is maintained well. Food is about what you would expect for the price, it's not a high end steakhouse but for the price it's fine. Would definitely come back. read more

This location is very friendly, and keeps a well stocked and CLEAN salad bar. I was pleasantly surprised that they served menudo as one of the soup choices. Steak was grilled perfectly, but that's to be expected and appreciated. Son got the malibu chicken, which I am not a fan of, but he liked it (kids ?) Rear parking lot is quite dark, so keep your eyes open if you park back there. There are a lot more homeless in the area now...but if you live in SoCal, you already know that. read more

I am with a group that meets once a month at the Sizzler on Harbor Blvd. I read many of the other reviews and agree with some and disagree withe others. The group I meet with gets relatively great service and support from the staff including the manager Ray and the server, Marisol, assigned to the group as we meet in the separate dining area due to our size. Everyone is polite and helpful with the staff being very attentive to patrons unable to carry the tray to the table. I would tell other groups looking for a place to meet for a meeting, family get-together or other social events to consider the Sizzler. It's not a Michelin grade restaurant but its in a good location, offers plenty of parking, comfort food and great service read more

I've been to a lot of sizzlers before, but I was in Fullerton taking my daughter to lunch and I stopped at this Sizzler location. The service was good but the Malibu chicken that I ordered was pretty nasty. It wasn't even chicken. The yellow dipping sauce was old salad bar was nasty, the food was crap. The toast was cold, but most of all the Malibu chicken was fake. The chicken was brown I will never ever ever go to the sizzler location again. read more

The place is newly renovated. The furniture and lighting are nice bright and welcoming. The salad bar is still a good choice.

We went to Sizzler tonight and had the BEST medium rare steak ever from this location!!! Thank you to the owner for coming to our table, thank you Marisol for serving us and most of all thank you to the cook for knowing how to truly cook a medium rare streak the right way! I've been to sizzler a few times (first time to come to this location) and love their fresh salad and wide variety of food that are included in a salad bar price, such as tacos, spaghetti, wings, soups, fruits and mini cakes. I usually get full off of food I bring from salad bar and end up taking most of the food on main dish home!lol The female server was very attentive and nice. And another female staff that took our order at the front was very friendly as well. Maybe some people had unsatisfying experience here but wow. 2.5 stars? I used to like this place for fair-to-middling buffet items at a decent price. Somewhere along the way they decided to charge $13 for the lunch buffet. Not even weekend, that I could almost understand, but for a weekday lunch. It's not worth it. For that price you can get an actual meal elsewhere, not chicken wings and lowgrade hamburger. Heck, the Black Bear is just 100 yards down the way. You can get steak elsewhere and their "signature" items are really nothing worth crowing about. Premium prices for a midrange product. This is a great location! This is the cleanest and friendliest Sizzler we've been to in years. Food was also excellent and reminded me of the good 'ol days. Hmmmm cheese bread. :-) I had Steak and Unlimited shrimp and the wife had the salad bar. Usually something in the salad bar is bad or greasy or cold. Not this time! Sizzler was always a favorite place as a kid and I'm glad to see this location is in keeping with the tradition of good service and good food. PS - I rarely review places unless they're bad. I haven't been back to Sizzler since I was a kid, but after watching Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, I felt compelled to go visit Sizzler after all these years and make a meatball taco. Verdict? Don't make a meatball taco. The meatballs are okay by themselves but the taco shells are often stale. Another tip: skip the endless shrimp option unless you want to eat tiny shrimp completely covered in fried batter. Cheese bread is amazing, steak was well cooked and seasoned and potato was stuffed with butter and sour cream and the salad bar was clean, well filled and everything correct temperature. The food was excellent. I appreciated that there was no salt on the baked potato. I like my baked potato salt-free. The staff was very friendly. I will be coming back regularly because I really like this location. The reason I am not giving the full 5 stars is nobody came to check on me to see if I needed anything during my meal. Although the server did drop off some ketchup and A1 Steak Sauce with my food, she didn't check on me to see if everything was okay or if I needed refills on my drink or a take-home container. I didn't get the traditional Sizzler mints at the end of my meal either. This is just a little helpful feedback for the servers to be more attentive. Bean Counter Owner! If you don't mind the owner hawking you to make sure everyone in your party has a plate in front of them then this is the spot for you! You gotta be kidding me! So my wife and I and kids came to sizzler by our house because we happen to be running errands and saw it it and decided to try something different. But my kids weren't hungry and me and my wife were sharing. Well pretty much 99% of the restaurants now a days know sharing is very common. Well not this place. The place was full of employees and the owner were constantly counting the number of customers were here and see who isn't eating so they can be rude and make them buy a plate! The food was burnt and over cooked! Literally my daughter threw up in the bathroom because of her over cooked fries. But the owner could careless! He was more worried about us paying for her plate and that's it! So if you want burnt steaks and over cooked fries... Come by this location! But as for me and my family and friends I will always make sure they don't ever come by this sizzler location again!
