Just wanted to provide an update to Skipolini's Italian since it's been two years since I reviewed them. We go there regularly and all I can say is that they consistently deliver each and every time. Most recently, we've had them cater our party (several years running now) and they do a professional and outstanding job; being on time, setting everything up, providing delicious food and at a fair price. As parents who learned date nights are very sacred. We staying at the Hyatt the front desk suggested Skipolinis, why not take the suggestion of someone local. It did not disappoint! Our server Jake was so busy, serving at least a table of 14 and a couple other tables that I saw, he managed his time. Jake was very personable, fun, professional did his job at a five star rating for everywhere I watched. After dinner, we eventually moved to the bar, I mentioned that the wine we got was not my favorite, but opening a bottle of wine, I didn't want to return it. The bartender Zach overheard and without me having to ask, asked if he could fix the wine to a sangria sort of drink, which I prefer I think every time from now on! THE FOOD! Visited my brother and he took us to this restaurant. First impression when i walked in was the restaurant was beautiful and very clean. I liked also see an open kitchen. Service was good! Only thing I didn't enjoy is I ran out of my drink when my food was there and had to wise s few extra minutes for a refill when I was trying to flush some food down. Other then that it was amazing! This was a first time we have been to this restaurant. Service was particularly slow. I had the small Palermo pizza. The crust was burned and dry, there was barely any toppings on it and little sauce. The chicken that was on top here was dry My husband ordered the seafood risotto. I really liked the flavors, sorry I wouldn't even know how to describe it. Decent portions. The bread was toasted. Italian Wedding Soup - My wife got a bowl. It tasted better than it looked. She really enjoyed it and it might be her regular soup that she gets. Mediterranean Pasta - Tasted better than it looks. My wife liked the dish more. Trying to eat healthier, so no meat... HH Chardonnay - Decent pour. Smooth, especially for a chardonnay. Overall a fairly extensive menu. Also available - Health options, lunch specials, etc. They are also known for their pizzas which I will try next time. Atmosphere - Good space. Indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of seating. Booths, lounge area, tables, bar, outdoor, etc. Private rooms are also available. Clean bathrooms. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9:30pm or 10:30pm. Plenty of parking; the lot is loose gravel. Live music on Thursdays, see picture. Service - Bailey A was very good, professional, and friendly. He checked up on us at least 3 times. And at 5:59pm, he asked everyone if they wanted anything else from the HH menu. What great service! Price - $34 + generous tip. I've finally wasted my last dollar at this place. If I want subpar food and service I can go to Olive Garden or grab a frozen entree and reheat like they do. I came here for a reunion with some of my buddies who I haven't seen for years. One of them picked out the place since he had been here before. We got there early since it was far away from my home. We had a reservation for 630 on a Friday night. The guy said that it was the busiest time. It was , the place was full and people were waiting at the door. But we had been here since 4 pm. The place is very big. They have a large waiting room with couches and stuff. The bar is nice looking and lots of booze. They have outdoor dinning with a TV. The staff were super nice. They recommended LPA for my buddy who really enjoyed it. I got my Remy and it was a nice pour. We had to wait for my other friend so we just had drinks till then. The food was great .I started off with the wedding soup. Yummy. Then the sea food risotto . Loved that too. The other guys liked their food to. Had some more drinks and caught up. Wonderful!! Everything about our visit to this restaurant was really good which no longer tends to be the norm. Delicious! We didn't have a reservation but we were able to get in right away. I was 1 week away from giving birth to my 4th baby and was pretty desperate to get her out so we went for the prego pizza. We had it before with my 2nd child and it didn't work so we decided to try again with the last baby. Well, it didn't work for me again... all it did was give me contractions and didn't put me into labor and she came 1 day before her due date but the prego pizza is absolutely delicious. I love how much meat and veggie is loaded on to it. I would order it while not pregnant just because it's that good. The spaghetti was delicious also as well as the spicy pasta dish. Skipolini's has a charming interior and inviting décor that creates a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The service is excellent -- friendly, attentive, and welcoming -- which definitely adds to the experience. The menu is a decent size, offering a fair variety of options without feeling overwhelming. That said, outside of the nice ambience and great service, the food itself is unfortunately underwhelming. Both my wife and I found our meals lacking in seasoning -- they were essentially unsalted, which made the dishes feel bland. Portions are moderate at best, and while not tiny, they don't feel generous given the price point. A small piece of bread was included with our entrées, but it didn't taste fresh or homemade at all, and we didn't receive any additional bread with the meal. This lack of freshness in the bread matched the overall impression of the food -- decent in concept, but slacking in execution. For two entrées and no drinks, with a 20% tip, our total came to about $54. While that's not outrageous, it feels pricey for what you get in terms of flavor and portion size. On top of that, beverage options are limited -- Skipolini's only has Diet Pepsi, not Diet Coke. Honestly, I'd rather go to Olive Garden. While its atmosphere may not be as refined, portions are larger, the included bread is better, and the flavor is more consistent -- plus they have Diet Coke. read more

The kid and I decided to try the pizza at Skipolini's just to switch it up. I forgot that they served pizzas here. It's been years since I've been here. We were greeted at the door as we walked in. I told them that we just wanted to order a pizza to go. I ordered a medium cheese pizza. A few minutes later, the server handed me our pizza. The medium pizza (which was 14 inches) seemed like a large. I think in most pizza joints, a 14 inch pizza is considered a large. We opened the pizza when we got home and it was cheesy. They didn't skimp on the cheese which was good. My kid took a bite of it and gave it a thumbs up. He liked it. The pizza was just going to be for him but there's no ways he's going to finish it all. It's a large pizza. I had a piece. It was cheesy. The crust was chewy. I could taste the Italian seasoning in the sauce. The slathered a generous amount of pizza sauce on there along with the cheese. It wasn't busy at all as we visited at an off peak time. My kid enjoyed sitting in the waiting lounge watching his IPad. I played the shuffle board by myself which kept me entertained. Overall, this place was nice. I think we'll get another pizza there in the near future. Plus it's in a convenient location with plenty of parking. read more

We sat at a high top in the bar area. It happened to be happy hour, so we decided to get a couple of their ridiculously large $7 drinks to celebrate. I had their Sangria (it was fairly good - not very strong and a little on the sweet side but refreshing) while my husband had an IPA. For entrees, I chose Eggplant Parmesan and my husband had Chicken Marsala. We were both happy with our choices. Plenty of food! Had late lunch/early dinner there after shopping at the mall. Overall I would recommend however the booth tables are high and uneven, and since I'm short waisted, the table was at chest level and not the most comfortable to eat on. I ordered the house salad and chicken piccata. The house salad was amazing and the chicken was delicious but the pasta was a bit bland. My husband had the chicken marsala and said it was okay but wouldn't order it again. My daughter had the ravioli and it was really good. We also ordered the garlic bread and it was also great. I would order everything again and the food overall was great. Also our waitress was really awesome. She was attentive and checked on us without hovering. One of our favorite places! I love the pizza with white sauce and pepperoni! The service was great-Emma was very attentive and checked on us often. My daughter ordered the Chicken Marsela. When it came out, it was very oily and not very good. Emma was on it! She offered to get something else. The manager came over to confirm the issue and agreed it did not look up to Skipolinis standard. My daughter ordered the Lasagna, which was amazing! Both children ordered pizzas, one make your own. Terrible service. We went in on Saturday night more than an hour before closing and ordered our food right away. The staff was upset that we walked in since they were already cleaning up to close the restaurant when it wasn't anywhere close to the time that they actually close. Our server had an attitude and she rushed us through everything, she brought me a Togo container while I eating my food saying "do you need one?". Then she decided to get us our check without us even asking for it or even offering to order dessert. This happened within 30-40 mins of our arrival. We had to rush and pack our food to leave. The staff started to play songs with inappropriate language while they cleaned up around us, while children still present in the restaurant. The food was not up to par as it usually is as well. The chicken Marsala was terrible and bland, the mashed potatoes tasted like frozen food and the two asparagus with it was hard and terrible. Never coming back here again. read more

The garlic bread that came with the dish has cheese which adds more greasiness to the meal. However, the shrimp was a decent size. For the pasta dishes, it would be great if we can choose to remove butter or cheese for a healthier/ lactose option when ordering online. I am so glad we came here! Ashley our server was so sweet , on top of things and just great. Jose was the manager and I talked to him to say how great Ashley was he was so good too . Cajun pasta made feel like I was home in the south again. I would love to see this pasta turned into a pizza. I had the best dessert of my life- salted Carmel Cheesecake was heavenly. I'm in aww of it and I also appreciate the restaurant for supporting a small business the bakery is one of their servers and I am so glad they work with her for support of her and their team. We went back after talking to Jose the manager, honestly he's a gem! We were assured Arlena would be spoken too, and Jose keeps his word! This time we had Isabel take care of us!!! She's an absolute amazing server, friendly, attentive, aware and actually listened that I have Celiac Disease. Well I don't recall ever being here before, however I somehow feel I may have. Howeverrr, it was delish! Food was really good, and came out in a timely manner considering they were pretty packed on a Saturday evening. Our waiter was very kind and understanding as we took some time to figure out what we wanted to eat as a group of 8. My 6 year old also spilled her Shirley Temple and a buser was kind enough to give me a few rags to clean it up. I do recall feeling like it was extremely loud, but I guess it comes with the territory and how packed they were. Met my husband here for happy hour and was Lucy to be helped by Ben the bartender. He had a such a good attitude and was really helpful. It is a large space that has some warm touches, a menu with something for everyone, great for a group, family friendly, loud, good size portions and the kitchen is well paced. Server was great - knowledgable and forthcoming - and the team knows how to expedite orders. Pizza wasn't anything memorable but the rest of the food was good; one guest absolutely loved their salmon entree, others said the meatball subs were delicious, our salads were fresh, crisp, Caesar was especially tasty (I like a strong anchovy flavor that isn't overpowering). Soup of the day was good, two people said the garlic fries are some of the best they've ever had, I felt they were too oily but had a nice flavor. Would go back, would recommend, I can see this being a good place to chill on a Saturday afternoon. read more
