First time visiting Sky Waikiki tonight (3/10/23). We sat outside. This has a great view of Waikiki, almost a full 180. Great to catch the sunset and no you can't see the fireworks on Friday. Very great atmosphere. It does get a little chilly at the roof top. The food was amazing. I give them a 5 out of 5 on the main course. I give the a 3 out of 5 on the appetizers. We ordered the seafood platter. The oysters were VERY small, the lobster was tiny. But everything else in the platter was great, Especially the poke. We also ordered the steamed clams. Not a fan. Sorry, but there was no flavor to the clams. Now the soup that the clams were in was great. We used the grilled toast to dip into the soup base. I ordered the Wagyu for my main course. I got it rare. I ate the whole thing. No left overs!!! It was cooked to perfection. Absolutely enjoyed every bite, down to the crispy veggies. The sauce that the Wagyu came with was great too. There was a young lady and guy that was singing tonight. They were great. We really enjoyed them. Over all, Sky Waikiki gets a 5 because the main course and location was amazing! read more

Always curious about this place. We thought it was the revolving restaurant bar but it's actually not. That's above it I believe. Anywho, stopped off for a drink to check it out. First off, the views are amazing. I'll give that. Downfall, you have to order from the bartender which takes a while as there was only two. One side was like dining and the other was bar area. There's seating along the side overlooking Waikiki as well as big communal tables. Dining side also had tables along as well as lounges. The view alone is what people come for. It does get pretty crowded depending on when you visit. Drinks, what we had was great. Good night vibe for cocktails, mingling and enjoying the view. read more

I tried the Coconut Girl cocktail (on ice, not a slushie) and would highly recommend it if you like your drinks tasty and not too strong. :) Unfortunately, I really disliked the spicy poke. Seriously, you can get much better poke at Foodland. Service was pretty good except that they never refilled our waters. We wanted to have a nice dinner with Oysters somewhere in Waikiki, and made a reservation online. I like that they have their own parking structure and parking was a breeze. Yes you have to pay for parking but it wasn't that much. Take the elevator up. The restaurant itself has very limited seating so highly recommend reservations if you want a good seat. It was sprinkling on and off and I felt bad for those who sat near the glass wall because there's nothing covering that area, so they give you umbrellas to shield yourself from the rain which was a bit amusing at the same time. Service was quick and friendly. We really enjoyed the live music. The musician was incredible! He sang modern pop/r&b songs and played guitar. Seats were comfy and cozy. The view was nice, but I wouldn't say the best. Oyster Shooter - First time taking a shooter served with champagne, so that was different and fun. Mix Oysters - All the oysters were fresh and delicious! Got to try a few I've never had before. Steamed Clams - Absolutely delicious! My favorite item! Umami French Fries - Crispy, Flavorful Truffle French Fries - Crisply, but could use more flavor Grilled Octopus - Delicious Wagyu Coulotte - Nice and tender, sides and sauces went well together Overall, it met expectations, and it was a delightful dinner. read more

Truly so sad. I've been to Honolulu a couple of times and I've always wanted to visit SKY Waikiki and was never able to due to the high amount of reservations they had. I finally was able to get a reservation a month ahead but noticed there were a lot of openings. That should have been my warning. My friends and I check in for our reservation and they tell us to wait because the table is not ready and to sit and wait (which is totally fine we did not mind). The table was ready within 5 minutes and we sit down at our table & sat right next to the live music (5 stars to that guy he was really great!). Then our server came to greet us in 15 minutes and said he would take our order- we all ordered drinks + dessert and a salad. The drinks were whatever, the desserts were alright and the salad was also okay- boom $125 for 4 drinks, 2 desserts & a salad. To top it off, the server we had was flirting/conversating with the table next to us as we waited for our check for about 20 minutes... Another staff had to remind him to give us our check. This is a good spot for sunset and live music. There are picnic tables and bar chairs for those without a reservation to share. If you have a reservation, there are couch-style seating arrangements to the right of some black crowd control stanchion posts. If you would like to try this spot, I would recommend making a reservation. No beach attire is permitted, but it is still fairly Hawaii casual. No need to bring out the sport coat. I think this was the best way to beginning my vacation. It's a little tricky to find the entrance but it's to the right side of h&m and you go up to the 18th floor then onto the escalator. But I went here with a couple of good friends for happy hour and can i just say the $2 oysters are a MUST. I'm still dreaming about it. I also go the spicy mangorita and it was divine. plus you can never go wrong with some poke! I'm partial to my own taste and wish it was less sauce, but my company loved it so i would definitely recommend. Personally, I had never been to Sky Waikiki before. I wanted to see the view...plus, I saw one of my Yelp friends check in on her app and she had recommended the Happy Hour here... Especially to see the sunset! Okay! My friends from Northern California were available on Superbowl Sunday. I thought that it might not be crowded because people would be watching the Rams win... LOL! I made a reservation anyway... And I'm glad I did! We got there ahead of our scheduled time and there were people waiting in the lobby. The doors open promptly and we all went up the escalator. We had no problem getting a good view (even though a nearby building blocked the view of the sunset)! The staff were great at distributing the umbrellas for us to hold up for some shade. Yes... It was sunny and quite warm - even though it was February! Tristan was our friendly server. He started out great, then kind of disappeared when it got busier... We waited around for our bill and had to ask each server that passed by for more water, takeout boxes, or a cup of ice, etc. Food was pretty good! Everyone ordered a nice variety of dishes, including shiso French fries, oyster fritters, fried calamari, garlic shrimp, spicy ahi roll, sweet Soy Pepper Wings, ahi poke, truffle honey marscapone, and chicken pate. I had a lovely (first time) rooftop dining experience. Great food, vibes, and live music! Scan the QR menu. Staff were all very friendly. The wait of the food took some time but it was because they were packed! We got a variety of foods to share. Seafood Platter ($100) -- 6 oysters, 4 shrimp cocktail, lobster tail, 2 choices of poké (Hawaiian Poké & spicy ahi poké) Poke Nachos ($18) -- spicy ahi poke, crispy wanton chips, green onion, pickled jalapeno, unagi sauce, truffle oil Fried Calamari ($16) -- calamari, pickled veggie, homemade curry tartar sauce SPICY MANGORITA ($16) -- casamigos tequila, mango, lilikoi, lime, agave, muddled serrano peppers, tajin rim SUNSET SMASH ($16) -- jim beam bourbon, strawberries, lemon, mint, soda I enjoyed all the food and my fave drink was the spicy mangorita! Wifey loves rooftop bars!!! On that note we were coming here with local friends. Two we had not met yet but it wasn't an issue. In fact it made it more fun! Hawaiian Yelp Elite extraordinaire Nadine made reservations thankfully. Bc of Covid the hostess checked your ID & your Covid vaccine cards for proof of vaccination. She mentioned the two hour time limit. It was Super Bowl Sunday & the day before Valentine's Day so this location was extremely popular for attendance. It wasn't as big as I thought but the ambiance was fabulous. This bar had no TVs so it was our first time for not watching the Super Bowl 2022 to the very end. Heard it was a nail biting game! Not surprised at all bc that was the case for almost all of the playoff games it was down to the last play or the last minute! Congrats to LA Rams playing in their home stadium. They had a happy hour menu & Valentines Day special but bc we weren't that hungry we went with mainly the hors d'oeuvres. I had already been warned that the food was just average. I guess bc of the lovely ambiance the food we ordered was tasty & delicious for me. Wifey ordered the garlic anchovy non spicy shrimp was accompanied with honey lemon risotto. Married-wise it was perfect. I highly recommend this dish if you're hangry. We had so much food & tried sharing but we all had small tummies. We even ended up with three boxes to go. I enjoyed my ahi poke, spicy ahi roll & sweet soy pepper wings. I did order the slushy Mai Tai & wifey had two of the pretty hibiscus sunset drinks without the vodka. She loved hers! At least they left the full water flask & brought us ice when requested. We did stay the full two hours despite the full on sun! That made it hot initially but it got cooler later a little bit! They did bring umbrellas to provide some shade relief so wear your hat & sunscreen! The overhang doesn't cover you well at all. Perfect time to come is mainly at sunset. We saw a few reserve tables set aside. Lots of two seater tables. I'm sure that can get cramped. When we left Peter in our group overheard the hostess say there was an hour wait. So make reservations early. I think you have to call beforehand. Like a couple weeks. We saw flying on Hawaiian airlines they had a commercial about Sky Waikiki & wifey told me we were coming here with friends. Come here for the fabulous views! We have been so fortunate to stay at the Ritz Carlton & Prince Waikiki hotels that it has been automatic for us to enjoy spectacular views & this location is no exception so come & enjoy it for what it's worth. The. Views. Just. Do. It! Somehow our parking was complimentary. What a plus! Our waiter Tristan took care of it. Otherwise it would have been 9 dollars. I think. Come & enjoy. If you're staying in Waikiki & close to the pink Hawaiian hotel you probably can walk to here & just elevator up to the 19th floor. Cute roof top bar. It's pricey so we went during Happy Hour. They also take reservations. We decided last minute and were walk ins. It got crowded after a while. Nice view over looking some of Waikiki and some of Diamond Head in the distance. Our server Kat was great. We had adult beverages and shared poke nachos which had a bit too much sweet unagi sauce for our liking but the ahi was fresh. There was a solo singer around sunset which was really nice. This is an ideal spot in Waikiki for drinks, a view from the rooftop, and some live music in the background. What comes along with more rooftops is a pricier menu and drinks, but totally worth it. I've been here each time I've visited Waikiki and would come again for my future visits because it's the best rooftop bar in Waikiki. I highly recommend getting a reservation especially on the weekends, otherwise it would be hard to get a table or would be a very long wait. The food here is okay--I've had a variety of appetizers and main dishes, and they're all just okay. If you're into oysters, I'd recommend trying that. The main appeal are the drinks and the ocean & view especially when you can catch the sunset. Definitely bring your sunglasses--the sun gets intense before sunset. The live music is really nice and brings a good vibe to the place. They have different artists that come and play, but usually it's been really great reggae or some sort of soothing acoustic. We ordered a roll (it was almost $20 for a pretty basic roll), truffle fries (these were pretty tasty), and a Mai Tai (super strong and not a lot of other flavor, not my favorite in Waikiki) - my friend and I just filled up elsewhere after, didn't want to splurge any more. Tables to the right are full service and good for groups, with several couch-style and 5-9 person tables. Bistro lights and a canvas overhead make for a relaxed outdoor porch feel. Views are amazing of downtown. Food wise, scallops portions too small especially for a shareable but scallops were good. The service was great very friendly knowledgeable about what's on the menu however I got the garlic shrimp with risotto, chefs kiss for the risotto, the garlic shrimp very bland no flavor, heads on ( personally, I prefer not to have the heads on my shrimp). The poke nachos were out of this world. The cocktails were good all in all I say 7.5 for the whole experience though the shrimp came with the heads on if would've had some flavor it would have been a 10 out of 10. and I really should've took some pictures, but it was such a disappointment. Good food and drinks with a city rooftop view! However, service is a bit slow. The coconut girl slushy is delicious! Smooth, creamy, and not too sweet, but there are too many coconut shavings in the drink; with every mouthful you take, the coconut shavings disrupt the smoothness of the slushy. However, this is a very minor critique. The hawaiian poke is fresh and dressed well! It is not too salty. The briney ocean flavor is not pronounced in the fish, indicating the freshness of the catch. The Hawaiian sweet soy pepper wings were tasty, but I'm not sure if I'd get it again. While the glaze had a nice stickiness and sweet aroma, it tasted as though the glaze had an overpowering soy taste over the sweet side. Additionally, bites of the chicken were drier than other bites, making a contrasting experience for both taste and consistency. The service is a bit slow in regards to food! The food here was just mid but I doubt people are coming here for the food. Came here with a group of friends mainly to drink and just have a good and relaxing night. We were looking for a rooftop view to drink at and this was one of the best options we had. There was live music when we got there and it was very enjoyable! The vibe and night seems very different from during the day, but I'm sure it's a lot nicer in the day time with the sun out and seeing a view from the rooftop. The staff member was polite, but the service was undeniably slow. It took quite some time for the food to arrive and to get our check. Great Maitai, even better oysters! They were so buttery and sweet it was like eating tuna belly or fatty crab. This batch might have been the most fatty ones I've ever had. And at $2 each, I wish we got even more. The Maitai was very strong and well shaken. The chunky pineapple on top was a nice touch. We made a reservation for happy hour which wasn't crowded at all. The reason for this may have been the intense sun and heat at that time of day. The bar is located on the roof with only a small central covering for protection. And during happy hour, this covering did not offer anyone shade which left us baking out in the sun. They did offer us handheld umbrellas which were of nice quality but they only had enough for one per table. Thankfully due to the limited crowd we were able to borrow another from a different table. The food and drinks here were amazing, but I'd definitely need to mentally prepare myself if we were to go again. read more

But I could tell they didn't go light on the alcohol it's just they added way too much syrup. Ordered some shared plates: ahi tuna roll, fries and soy pepper wings. The tuna roll was absolutely delicious! Fries and wings were not bad but a tad too salty. They also have $2 oysters which I'm gonna try next time for sure. And service was fine. We arrived here on Sunday night in January and came up here to enjoy the views based on a recommendation from my husbands son. It was roughly 7pm and while it was steady, wasn't overly busy. Beautiful views of Waikiki city center and easily would be very busy for sunsets! We were told it gets very packed on weekends. We ordered some drinks, old fashion and the smoke on the water. Both were delicious! We also ordered the soy black pepper wings - wow!! They were perfectly cooked, nice crisp (they use potato starch) and flavorful! Delicious!! I failed to take pics of the food! Parking can be tight as its downtown Waikiki. We suggest parking in one of the garages and making a day or night of it. read more

If you're planning to go to SKY Waikiki, chances are you are going for the rooftop views. Are the views great? Definitely! You get a good 180 degrees of sight over on the beach side which is really beautiful. I wish they had more stationary umbrellas for each table since our table was very exposed to the sun, but in any case they do provide umbrellas for you to hold yourself. Yes you read that right. You have to hold them yourself *shrug. We wanted to sample a variety of oysters during Happy Hour, we later find out that they only do 1 oyster type (forgot which one) for Happy Hour. All other kinds are regular price. Lame... The oysters we got were good and I didn't mind only having 1 type after eating them, but I don't see why you can't offer all the oysters for the HH menu. The Shiso French Fries taste like...well... basic french fries. You would need the keenest of taste buds to taste any shiso. Yes they were good, but no shiso flavor. The Sweet Soy Pepper Wings were definitely worth it though! Cooked perfectly with a slight crispy texture and flavors were popping. A must get for sure! This was my first time after Sky. I had very high expectations and was not disappointed. We actually rented most of the space out for a private party and the food, views, and music was all so amazing. When we arrived I was told they recently got a new chef, and the food was one of my favorite parts of the evening. Oysters were the best I've had on island. We also had sushi, steak, prawns, chicken wings and more. It was all fantastic. The bartenders were all nice. But my favorite was Damien. He always makes everyone feel at ease and his smile is so contagious. We will definitely be back for a date night soon read more
