Made reservations way in advance, went there last night with my family and Tai the host (which was very unfriendly and rude by the way) said there would be almost an hour wait for the tables because they were overbooked. We asked to talked to the manager who was extremely rude as well. We ended up leaving. So many good places to eat in Waikiki with friendly and welcoming staff, why stay somewhere where employees don't even seem happy to be working there. read more

I have heard so many things about the view from Sky so I couldn't wait to try it! We made reservations for 5:30 pm, but arrived a tad early (around 5 pm). We were immediately sat and the first thing I noticed was the killer view! It was bright, sunny and a tad bit warm, but being able to see a 360 view of Waikiki was amazing. We started with some drinks- I ordered the Brambleberry fizz- which was incredibly refreshing. I immediately noticed that there was very little cover from the sun so there were a few spots the sun got directly in my eyes which was unfortunate. After a few drinks, we put in a few appetizers- The mascarpone dish, the calamari, and the tacos. All were fantastic, but I felt like the calamari had equal parts calamari and bell pepper. I did feel like there should have been more calamari and less bell pepper. In the midst of all of this, a local artist set up and starting playing music! It totally added to the vibe of the evening. When the entrees came around, I ordered the waygu steak and veggies. When it arrived and I took the first bite, the meat tasted gamey. I had the rest of my party try a piece and they agreed- it just wasn't good. After speaking with the waitress, she was super understanding and they immediately asked if I wanted something else. I ended up ordering the filet mignon instead (and it was amazing!) I did have a great time at sky, but honestly, I felt like the food was ridiculously overpriced for what we received and while the drinks were good, they were also really expensive and small. Gorgeous view, okay food and okay drink. The rooftop is an amazing atmosphere, you must make a reservation if you want a seat though. The sun is hot so get there early if you plan on attending happy hour and watching sunset to get shade . They advertise happy hour champagne but it's actually Prosecco. The happy hour is decent, small portion poke and $2.00 oysters. My friends card was charged wrong, we asked them to correct they did , but thennn never reversed the charge it took almost week to get the funds back. I can understand the mistake as the bartenders have happy hour goers standing in line at the bar which can be overwhelming. I'd go back with a reservation and a server. read more

Decided to come here because we saw theTVs! Wasn't sure what to order and the hostess recommended the pizza. The server said she was a vegetarian when we asked if there was a meat lovers. I'm all about dining with a view and was looking for the perfect date night with my husband and came across Sky Waikiki. What was even better was that our hotel was literally steps away so the location was perfect! When we first arrived, I had requested for seating along the center edge of the deck area however we got seated on the side by the wall. I was pretty annoyed being seated in this area since it defeated the purpose of dining with a view ..and I noticed a table right in front of us was empty (but not cleaned yet) and asked our hostess If we can move and was able to do so with no issues. The view is spectacular and I loved the live music! Food was also good too. Only issue we had was that our poke nachos never came out and to make up for it, our waitress ended up giving us free cheesecake which we appreciated. Definitely recommend coming here! read more

I suppose it's because I'm not a nightclub person that I am leaving this review. My first time there, I was expecting a bigger area, and was thinking the nightclub would be in the circular part of the building. I had an acquaintance that used to work here, and would tell me how much people would go there, but I think it was definitely overly exaggerated... It's a small room with a stage for music, and a stand for a single stripper; adjoined to another, much darker room that you reach by walking through the balcony, which has a few tables. I just expected a bigger location, and more people. The drinks were okay! A little pricier because it's a nightclub, so that's to be expected! But not bad! Everything could improve about this place. The only reason why there are people here are because of the view. The view is beautiful a 8 out of 10. Not a 10 because it's not oceanfront. Came here for cocktails possibly dinner and WOW what a let down. The staff was horrendous!! We were barely greeted by the 2 girls at the front. We continued on to the cocktail lounge area. They instructed us to stay to the left side (which we did) however after 10 minutes of being ignored (not busy) about 70% full, we decided to move to a more visible seat out of the direct sun. There were multiple other seats open. So finally after moving one of the servers gave us a slight wave (like I'll be there shortly). He did finally come over and when we asked for a wine list he said absolutely and brought it over. Within 1 minute of that interaction the greeter girls (one of them) came over and said these tables are reserved and you have to move. Needless to say we had enough and left. You might say oh this is someone bitter leaving a bad review. Not true. I lived and worked in Vegas for 20 years and I know how the service industry works. Horrible training of the staff and they're just relying on the view. If that's what you're after then great. If you're looking for amazing food, cocktails, epic service and staff go no further than StripSteak. You won't be disappointed and their Happy Hour is the best on the beach 4-6pm. read more

We were the first customers and just in time for Happy Hour. The outside seating next to the ocean front just the cherry on top of the ice cream. Ordered the seafood platter and a Bloody Mary. Both just delicious. Bloody Mary was made from scratch! Oysters just fresh and tasty. We literally were the first couple of groups so it wasn't that busy. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. Reservations! I highly urge you to book reservations. Luckily my friends and I only had to wait about an hour to get a table. Nice rooftop bar, but couldn't really enjoy much of the scenery since our table wasnt towards the edge of the resto. Aside from that, Everything we ordered was pretty good. Slightly tough, and not as soft and buttery as other places I've had sea bass. So I was sort of let down. The lemon risotto under the shrimp again was a little sweet for my taste. Sort of on the mushy side, but im guessing that's just how risotto is prepared. The poke nachos were tasty. The serendipitous moments in life are always the ones I treasure most. We had no plans other than to walk along Kalakaua Ave. Just chatting it up as we strolled along. We ended up catching an incredible sunset and found availability as a walk-in to SKY Waikiki rooftop bar. Best part? It was Sunset Taco Tuesday! Oh boy. I saw this place highly recommended on TikTok and thought I'd make an rsvp at 8p for July 4. Sadly I was super disappointed in the service (3/5), food (3/5), and ambiance (1/5). First for ambiance...we showed up right on time and the host escorted us to the very back alley of the restaurant (all patio seating) where the food runners and extra service cart was. The table was dark, only lit by the small table lamp, and the two seats were positioned next to each other instead of across from each other. This was done because there simply wasn't enough space with the other 2 seater tables that had seats faced across from each other and tbh felt like a lame way to get more people seated /: Ultimately, the table behind us closed out so we were able to move my boyfriend's seat back to across. Since we were in the back, we were also subject to a very loud beeping noise that sounded like a truck backing up or reversing the whole dinner. Our waiter was Kai and he was really nice and made some recommendations of his favorite foods. Oysters (3/5): Kai recommended the baron point oysters which were small and just okay, and the Japanese style oysters which were excellent. I really liked the ponzu sauce and meaty oyster. All the oysters still had some shell I had to spit out. Hawaiian Plantation Ribs (5/5): These were so good...fall off the bone, loved the sweet and sour sauce. Blue Crab California Roll (3/5): Honestly this was just okay. I liked the blue crab but did find the roll a bit dry Grilled Eggplant (1/5): absolutely stay away...this was overcooked, mushy, and the same seasoning as the ribs...the sauce was overpowering and way too salty for the eggplant Grilled Octopus (1/5): The grilled octopus was super chewy and hard to eat. We started with the spicy mangorita (without the spice) and Mai Tai, both of which were great! Both were sweet, just to my taste. :) I may not love seafood, but I definitely helped to demolish those poke nachos. The shiso French fries were also perfectly thin, crispy, and well-seasoned. Definitely recommend those appetizers and drinks! The Truffle chicken rice was fantastic - the chicken was juicy (my partner was really impressed!), and the rice was such a standout. I could have eaten a whole plate of that rice - it was super tasty, moist/buttery(?) with that hint of truffle. The filet mignon honestly wasn't worth it... unfortunately it just wasn't particularly well-seasoned, juicy, or cooked right. We asked for medium rare, but it came out closer to well-done, and though they were kind enough to re-make it for us, it was too rare. I think they would have been happy to correct it again for us, but we were good. The chimichurri sauce was great, and the darker sauce was actually better with the chicken! The potatoes and carrots were plain, and not particularly complementary with the steak. I'd recommend going with a different dish. Overall, we were really there for the view, and impressed by the appetizers, drinks, and truffle chicken rice. We sat overlooking the city, which was gorgeous at night. read more

Definitely a place worth visiting. The food is incredible. It's a bit cramped if you didn't make reservations. They have a few bench tables where people with no reservations can sit and it's self service. You go to the bar and order yourself. They give you a number and bring you your food. I think we ordered almost all of the food items on the HH menu. The icy mai Tai's are amazing. Caitlyn is an awesome server. So attentive and always had our order correct. We were given a great able by the glass but it's way too hot so we asked to be moved under the tent. Best decision as it's too warm. Thursday, 3/03/2022 - Ate at SKY Wakiki Raw & Bar for dinner and to celebrate a birthday. Address is 2270 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815, Waikiki. The have a parking garage and they do validate your parking ticket. Upon arrival: Pros: 1) plenty of parking in parking garage. 2) restaurant is on the 11th floor. Once you get to the 11th floor, you'll need to take the escalator to the restaurant. 3) you need to check in with the hostess and wear a mask. 4) hostess does check your covid vaccination card and ID. Have it ready. 5) There is a bar and lots of tables. 6) the night view of Wakiki from the roof top was beautiful. 7) food presentations were good. 8) servers were very nice and professional. 9) as you walk through the entrance, we were seated to the right side of where the bar was, all the way towards the back of the restaurant, next to the room that use to be a club. Music was playing and we dance by ourselves while waiting for our foods. Lol 10) water tasted good. No metal or odd taste. 11) women's bathroom is clean. Cons: 1) they don't offer hot water with lemon. 2) I felt ALL of our food dishes were over salted. Very, very salty. But it was still good. My virgin Mai Thai drink was SUPER sour. My virgin Mojito drink was SUPER sweet. I couldn't drink either drink. 3) the restaurant on the top where it slowly turns and you can see Honolulu is shut down. 4) we waited pretty long to get our table, even though we had a reservation. We had to keep checking with them. The area they seated us was open the whole time we were there. I was looking for the bathroom when we 1st arrived, and stumbled to that empty side of the restaurant. I didn't understand why they waited so long to seat us at that same spot when it was empty the whole time; while we were waiting by the bar for our table. 5) when we packed several dishes to-go, our server brought us boxes but no bag to carry it in. We had to ask him. Conclusion: I love the view of Wakiki from this bar. It's a cute little bar/restaurant. Staffs were very nice. People here were very nice. Nice music with nice beat. Bathrooms were clean. Food presentations were nice. Desserts good. Because foods were sooooo salty and the 2 drinks I got: 1 was overly sour and 1 was overly sweet, I may not go here again. I have yet to develop an appreciation for the taste of alcohol, so this cocktail was right for me; the sweetness of the strawberries and sourness of the lemon mostly masked the alcohol in the drink. No better place to dine at sunset. I've eaten here twice and waited to review. Both times we ordered lots of items and all were prepared perfectly in every way. The view, the staff, the DJ's and music choices, all are wonderful and I enjoy it fully. Please don't change a thing Sky Waikiki! This is the main place I recommend to visitors because it's just so impressive in every way. Get your reservations well ahead of time so you don't miss out! This is one of the few restaurants in Waikiki that actually makes good drinks. The charcuterie is one of my favorites on the island, pricey but wonderful! I just love the air up here! Parking in the building garage is $9 for $5 hours and it goes up from there. Ours was $21 for half the day at the beach and dinner till about 7 pm. It is nicer garage parking and well lit though. Next door at Waikiki Shopping is $7 for 5 hours and $14 for 5+ to 10 hrs. read more

After seeing all the wonderful pictures of this spot we decided to have a company party here. This review is specifically for the group side of this place if you plan on having events here. After promoting this event to our representatives, we were disappointed that we place in the "back side" of the building where the only views we had were of the leeward side of Waikiki. Which if we looked hard enough, we could see the ocean between buildings. Nonetheless, the view was still decent. It's definitely not of Diamond Head or the Waikiki beachside. That part of the restaurant was closed off to us. So no fancy IG pictures. 2nd terrible thing - we booked this place with about 35 people...ended up closer to 50. First we we noticed, there were only about 6 tables set up. So half our party had no place to eat or sit. They never put out more tables or chairs. 3rd the food. It was tasty, we were given those small desert plates for each person. While we had more than originally planned, they did say they would accommodate more of us. Unfortunately, we actually ran out of food...using those SMALL plates!! Like, do they actually believe that they're only going to make enough food for a party of 50 with small plates?! We actually had to PAY more to feed everyone else. And the term "feeding" is loose as I said it was only enough for SMALL plates. They ran out of sushi and said they only ordered enough for the original 35. So why tell us they can accommodate us? For $35 per person, we certainly expected to at least be able to eat. I'm not sure how this place is on the normal restaurant side (the rest of reviews aren't great either), but we will never have an event here again. In the end, everyone left hungry and underwhelmed. Extremely frustrating. You will be disappointed. I was actually going to give 3 stars but the more I keep writing this, the more frustrated I get. read more

To start off I wish this place had better food. The scenery is great! The live musician that was there was amazing and the decor fits the theme very well. The staff was very nice our waiter was helpful. I recommend if you come to this location for drinks to come having already eaten somewhere else. The drinks were ok as well. The smoked salmon was not smoke at all we took a bite each and decided we did not want it as there was not much flavor. The fries were simple and good. The calamari plate was only half calamari the other half tasted like bell peppers or onions, but we were expecting a better ratio of actual calamari. The chicken was interesting the rice had plenty of flavor and the chicken itself did have flavor but not as much as the rice. Overall the staff and scenery is nice but the food just does not come through. The prices would make sense if the taste was there. read more

My friends and I arrived here around 4pm when they opened for happy hour and it was a very enjoyable experience.
