You can tell she is doing her best as Sonic is being slammed and every slot was filled and drive thru was backed up! She greeted us with a smile and great attitude!! We knew it would be a little bit of a wait since they were so busy, but her great attitude and smile definitely made us feel appreciated and welcomed! 10/10 stars every single time I visit this sonic. The staff is so incredibly kind and care a lot. I live very close to this location and I have come here ALOT within the past t. This is my favorite sonic in Texas! The food is wonderful and always made the way I order it from the app. Not to mention, this is also one of the cleanest sonics I have EVER been to. The landscape is beautiful and the view of the channel is remarkable (especially at sunset). If you have a negative experience at this sonic please don't let it stick with you and please be patient. The smash burger is the real McCoy! I've eaten a lot of burgers in my years. Never have I ever eaten the same exact burger 13 days in a row. Well this burger changed all that. We ordered two diet cherry limeades. Neither one had a cherry nor a lime in it as described in the items included in the drink. It also tasted like no cherry syrup was added. It tasted like seltzer water with lime. Probably the worst cherry limeade I've ever ordered. After ordering in the app, it took 11 minutes past the time when they said our order would be ready for it to be delivered to our car. The place seemed very busy. read more

I went to their new location on the island, it's right next to Starbucks.. I went through the drive-thru.. I literally sat there for 5 minutes nobody gave me a greeting, nobody was there to take my order it was just dead silence.. it was a little after 4:30 p.m. There were no cars in the Drive-Thru when I went around there was literally just two cars at the pull-in parking. I should have just left, anyway finally someone's came through the speaker and said, 'can I take your order' I told them exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it done.. then I pulled forward to pay. I again waited at least 5 minutes just sitting there waiting and finally someone opened up the window and told me how much it was and I paid and thinking in my mind that's a little bit too much than what the menu board said (with tax included) but they gave me no receipt.. as there was nothing in the bag but one napkin three peppermints and the food that I ordered which was cold.. with no receipt to compare the price with, I could have been overcharged or since no receipt was given, that money could have just went right into her pocket. The cheeseburger that I ordered was just cheese on a piece of cold meat but the cheese was not even melted on the burger either.. I had a cheeseburger mustard sandwich there was so much mustard on it, it was all over my hands. (So grateful that she gave me one napkin) I believe this was intentionally done! They had me waiting at the menu board for 5 minutes and another 5 minutes at the window, they were not busy.. and I got cold food, that's completely unacceptable. The person which I believe was the manager on duty, (she had a striped shirt on, and a nose piercing).. - that was a very classy! Things apparently has changed so much..if one is a manager then they should be responsible enough to manage the restaurant as accordingly to their guidelines, 1. Greet the person at the drive-thru or just give acknowledgment that they are there and if busy tell the person you'll be taking their order momentarily.. 2. Make sure you charge the correct amount owed and give a receipt. 3. Give them hot food Train their staff that this is how we're going to be doing it now, because we are a restaurant and we want repeated customers.. I will not be back and I do not recommend this location to anyone.. read more

this sonic was TERRIBLE. I wasn't even expecting great service because it is a sonic but even then I was disappointed. I pulled up and sat at the drive through for 10 minutes and NOBODY answered the drive through intercom. I thought it was technical issues so I pulled around to the window to order. THEN we sat at the window for 25 MINUTES while the staff just looked at me through the window and never opened the window. I tried to get their attention to see if they could take my order or if I could see if they had any issues going on that would prevent me from ordering. but they proceeded to ignore me even though they were serving cars at the stalls. After another 5 minutes I decided to leave after the staff locked the drive through window WITH ME SITTING THERE. moral of this is don't go to this sonic because it it total garbage and is run by incompetent people read more

New Year's Eve, and mostly any place that is inexpensive was closed. I'm staying on Padre Island, and to my surprise, I saw a Sonic. How cool is that; a Sonic by the beach. Temperature outside is in the low 40's, and windy with rain coming; but I still had to have a slushy. I had their new Boneless wings, asian sweet chili, and they were a little on the salty side. I also had their cheese burger and tots. Staff is great and place is well kept. Some call window look beaten up but probably because of the customers parking too close to them. Came here last weekend and ended up leaving with NO FOOD Placed our order at the drive thru, and the service ended Ordered an American dog and chili cheese dog. A few minutes later a girl came out to the car, in the drive thru lane, and tried to give us someone else's order... Got to the window and again tried to give us the WRONG FOOD. So I asked the girl if she had any idea what we really ordered.... and she said no. We stopped here on our way to the beach while visiting from Austin and we seriously went out on a limb because pretty much every location we have near us (in Austin) is a complete disappointment for a number of reasons so we didn't have high expectations. We ordered for SIX people, (which is a struggle in itself) and were fully prepared to wait for a ridiculous amount of time for them to bring us wrong items or make some mistakes. NOPE. We waited, maybe, 10 minutes (probably less) and we were served the proper order hot and fresh. It was like a dream. I love Sonic Drinks a lot. I always order the same drink at different Sonics. I ordered my drink and was specific about it. They were wrong with it both times. Another worker named ABBY came out to me to verify what I was ordering. ABBY said, "Since we have already made you two drinks, we can't make you more because they will be losing money." Clearly, Sonic was wrong!!! ABBY had a really bad attitude about making a completely different drink and she huffed and puffed off. I know it's a rough time right now BUT... I can't believe how bad the service was at this place today. My friend (who has a beautiful thick Puerto Rican accent) was ordering at a stall for us. The guy taking our order lost patience and got snippy with her because he couldn't understand her and he cut her off multiple times. If he would've let her talk he would've known she wanted honey BBQ chicken instead of plain and he would've been able to get all the sauces we were wanting. The carhop also seemed to be cranky and rolled her eyes at us a few times while we were trying to make sure we got everything we ordered. We ended up having to go through the drive-thru to get our sauces. Same carhop came out, eye rolls and all, to hand us our sauces. No, it wasn't rush hour... customer service training should probably take place, because that was ridiculous.
