First time coming to this location and when I walked in after placing a to go order there were 3 workers that completely ignored us. I waited at the front for about 10 minutes with nobody even acknowledging me. I thought maybe they're just busy and I went outside to their window where I sat for another 15 minutes without somebody talking to us. Finally went inside again and it took my boyfriend telling them our pizza was about to fall on the ground for anybody to even ask if we've already ordered. Phone was also constantly ringing with nobody trying to answer it. I would have walked out if I hadn't already paid before getting there. I work in the service industry and completely understand having to wait but somebody greeting me and saying a simple "we'll be right with you" would have made all the difference. read more

This place needs a really, good, elbow-greased scrub down. It is very dirty inside. After I placed my order, I went to fill my drink cup. The soda dispenser had mold growing all around the bottom drain and had clearly not been cleaned in a VERY long time. I looked around and realized that the whole place was covered in filth. Also, the guys making pizza had long hair and beards, with no kind of hair nets at all. I asked for a refund because of the mold in the soda dispenser and the guy told me, "Oh, I didn't charge you for your drink." Ooh, great...FREE MOLD!!! After a very lengthy process of him having to call someone, he told me he issued me a refund. I'm still waiting for it to show up on my account. Eat here if you want to get food poisoning. read more

This place is GREAT. Discovered it on accident after eating dinner elsewhere and leaving hungry. We placed our order online and, by the time we arrived, it was ready for pick up. I was very pleased at how much flexibility there was in customizing our pie. We chose to do one pie with two different specialties. One half was the Spinart and the other was BBQ Chicken. Spinart was AWESOME and pretty dang close to Artichoke Pizza in NYC. BBQ Chicken was also great, not too sweet. What I loved was that the pizza was not greasy and did not leave me feeling bloated and heavy. We have been a customer of Double Dave's for many years. I cannot eat their pepperoni rolls any more--they do a number on my stomach. So I was looking forward to trying their Phil rolls where I could add my own fillings. I placed the order in the app and sent my son to pick it up. When he went to pick it up, they started making them when he got there and told them he was there to pick it up. He said they were quite rude and hardly spoke or acknowledged him. The rolls were good. However my son and husband both said they were WAY too greasy for their taste. Won't be going back sadly. read more

Honestly if I could give zero stars I would as I never even got my pizza. Placed my order online and was given a 25 minute pick up time. Went to pick it up at right on 25 min only to be told they hadn't even started it as they were busy and that it would be another 20min. I waited another 20 min, when I went to pick it up only one pizza was ready, my second pizza was still going to be at least another 10 - 15 min. Had a slice of pizza delivered and an order of garlic knots and was extremely disappointed. The pieces arrived about an hour later, and although the size is impressive (one slice is two pieces of regular pizza), the middle was mushy, even after reheating in a toaster oven. Dough was nothing to write home about. Delivery fee was a mere $3 though. Overall their pizza was lacking in flavor, which was a disappointment because sun dried tomato pesto sounds delicious, does it not? I much preferred the garlic knots over the pizza, and even those were quite bland, pieces of dough rolled in oil and garlic with not much marination within or throughout. Not my cup of tea and definitely not worth $12 with tip and tax. Hate to say I would withhold from supporting a local business, but in comparison to the other pizza joints in town,the quality is subpar and it would quickly lose when deciding where to eat. read more

Decent Pizza. Terrible Service. As a fan of the S. Congress location I thought I would try the S Lamar location because they will deliver to my house. The crust was good but the toppings and sauce were light. But the worst part was the service. I called in an order and was placed on hold for 7 minutes (no exaggeration). Then they told me it would be about 30-45 minutes for them to deliver which is fine but then the guy got lost and I had to guide him to my house over the phone. By the time the pizza arrived it was cold and I had pretty much lost interest. In the future I will just go to the S Congress location or have Rockin Tomato, Austin Pizza, or 360 Pizza to deliver to my house. read more

There is just not much to say about this local pizza shop besides "they have pizza for sale. Sometimes it's pretty good and other times it's pretty plain but it's always going to cost a lot." The pizza sounds good and they have lots of toppings but they put them on very lightly. One time I had to call to say "there is no sausage on my pie it all." The manager had me take a picture and text it to him and he said he could see lots of sausage! Mind blowing! I feel like the group at the S. Lamar location may be under the impression that getting high at work is ok. My family actually calls this location, Stoners Flying Pizza. There are tons of other expensive pizza places where your pizza is not always brown and you don't have to argue with the manager as to whether you see sausage or not! read more

Zygmont is delicious and mostly healthy. Large is 8 pieces but still on the smaller side. Especially if you are comparing it to the large at Eastside Pies. My husband and I ordered half buffalo style (did love the jalepenos!) and that was good but not nearly as delicious as the Zygmont. The cheese was yummers!!! Also wee ordered the greek salad that was ok. Nothing too spectacular. Romaine, more romaine, and the rest of the salad toppings were practically shredded making it nearly impossible to put them on a fork. I think next time we will order the spinach salad. It seems to be the more favorite salad on most of the reviews I read. Pizza came in less than an hour on a Saturday night at 7pm :) read more

The gluten free crust was amazing. The gluten free crust is made in house, away from the regular crust. Sounds a bit scary but whatever they are doing works, I didn't get sick at all! They also add herbs to the dough and it just makes for a wonderful crust which is hard to do when it comes to gf. I called in to place an order for pick-up. The guy on the phone was friendly, and the girl who took my payment at the store was friendly as well. We order the Basil Pesto and Margherita. They Basil Pesto was great. Tons of chicken and toppings. The Basil Pesto had lots of toppings too, but waaaay too much garlic. That was all you could taste. I could not get the taste out of my mouth for the rest of the night. It completely ruined the pizza. This place is kinda pricey. We spent $47 on two medium pizzas and a salad. I was in a hurry and going down Lamar, saw the pizza place and thought well, I will give it a whirl. I went in and was greeted by a man obviously from the NY area...this man knows his pie. I said I would like a slice of pizza with just some fresh basil, nothing fancy. So, I got that "slice"...holy smokes, it's a quarter of a MASSIVE pizza!!! He sent it through the most noisy oven known to man and out came a piping hot deliciousness. I got a soda and it was around $5. I went on to my destination and scarfed it on the road. It was very very good. I would have liked a bit more cheese, but it was very good. If I'm in the area again I know they can provide what I need in a hurry. Super friendly service, thin crust, yum! Parking can be a bit of a "B", but it's worth it...if I can fit my monster truck in that baby lot, you can park pretty much anything, just make sure not to park in the spots marked for the gas station. Mario the manager is a giant a$$. He is very rude to customers for no apparent reason whatsoever and always acts as if every patron is a bother. When someone pays $40 for pizza you could at least be polite. Your pizza is good but not good enough to speak to people the way he does. My advice, go to the Congress location.
