The egg roll was not fully cooked through. The low mein was inedible. The noodles were soggy, the chicken had a rubbery texture, and the dish had a really off-putting flavor. Ordered basil chicken (mild) and garlic chicken (hot) for delivery. The garlic was barely cooked and not at all spicy. The basil was so spicy that my wife couldn't eat it (I, who like very spicy food) even found it be beyond edible. Called to complain and we were told "too bad. We didn't make a mistake" Customer service is a lost art and Spicy House clearly doesn't care about their customers. We used to order once a week from Spicy House but as of today will never order from them again. One of my favorite Chinese places in town. Has somewhat of a hole in the wall feel. Employees are always attentive and friendly. My dish of choice is their Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Love it. This is my go-to spot for Chinese. Their delivery times are unbeatable. I feel like I hang up the phone after ordering, and then I hear my doorbell ring. As far as the food, it's good. Really hits the spot. No mystery filler veggies in my beef w/vegetables. The sesame chicken is great as well. I also occasionally order the combination lo mein. My only gripe with that, is that I wish they'd put more meat in it, but otherwise it tastes nice. Don't expect 5 star quality Chinese. My family and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this restaurant... All their food is Delicious, however I am completely ADDICTED to their Singapore noodles!!! My husband and I order these while the kids are at school.. lol its my guilty pleasure.... They have been understanding about how we like the food and they have succeeded every single time!!! I was shocked this place has four stars after eating here one time. Initial impression, not clean. Service is fair food was average, I would most likely compare to buffet food, so not very good just OK. I had beef with noodles for lunch and it came with a fried spring roll, cheese wonton, and wonton soup. Overall I would rate this three stars if it were not so dirty and all the employees were sitting around reading their phones when they could be cleaning up at least the tables and floor in the dining area. And she blamed us for using the Yelp app as to why we didn't get it in the first place. We order from here basically once a week, one of these days I'm sure they are going to ask me if I want the usual when I call. My other half having lived in China for about 15 years wants Chinese (yes Americanized will suffice) at least once a week and for the most part it's the same order. Mongolian beef for me and General Tsao's Beef for him. Both dishes are flavorful, the Mongolian beef has a decent ratio of onions to beef and the sauce on the General Tsao's is the right blend of sweet and spice. Pair these dishes with steamed pork dumplings, crab cheese wontons and on occasion a couple of bao and we're definitely full and happy. The delivery has always been very quick and the staff pleasant. But the entrees are what really shine, other Chinese restaurants have dry or maybe overcooked breaded chicken, not here. I chose egg Foo Yong because most places don't make it well. Theirs was great! They were piping hot, moist and flavorful. I order with shrimp.
