This fusion Mediterranean spot is fire. Came here by a recommendation by my roommate and it did not disappoint by any means. We got the street fries and it was so loaded that neither of us could finish our meals! The fries were perfectly crispy with the perfect amount of sauce all around, which is hard to find since fries tend to get soggy. The quantity was pretty big too as we had went around 4:30 from not eating all day (we were really hungry) and still couldn't finish. The service was great and the food was a solid 10/10. I always get it with the mixed meats which is a bit of everything. I really enjoy this too. It's actually a pretty big portion, so I usually just eat half and save the rest for dinner. I inserted my card into the reader and was in the process of confirming a tip when the guy behind the counter told me "oh, um, it's gonna be like a 20-25 minute wait." I got food poisoning and missed out on my last day of vacation because I was throwing up for hours. My friend said they like their LA locations and I should give them a chance. My friends love this type of food, so I gave them a 2nd chance and will NOT give them a 3rd. This is because I spent all of last night vomiting after having eaten their remix bowl. I'm middle eastern, have tried plenty of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food. The ingredients are not something I am intolerant or sensitive to, so I know that my TWO experiences with them have everything to do with this business and their lack of food safety. First time we came here we waited a long time and the food was underwhelming, but it was late in the day, maybe they were understaffed or whatever, not a big deal. Today we decided to give it another chance, again we came later in the day though so I'm wondering if that explains the mostly positive reviews - maybe it's good during the day but we're probably not going to spend another $40 to find out. We ordered the Remix bowl with no feta or corn. We got a dry, half-full bowl with 2 cold extra dry and crunchy falafels (one of them tasting wrong) and one fried-all-the-way-through falafel rock that crumbled when I finally broke it open, plain quinoa (supposed to be tahini-dill quinoa), plain carrots/cabbage (supposed to be a slaw) and bland chickpeas that were practically plain. The dressing it was supposed to come with would've made the plain tomatoes and cucumbers good, but there was no dressing or sauce. It's just crazy that this is a $14 meal and it's made up of a generously estimated a 2 dollars? worth of vegetables, olives, quinoa and chickpeas. All that to say it was technically edible (except for maybe the falafel rock) but that's all I can say for it, and I didn't eat it. We ordered the vegan wrap, this was better than the bowl but also contained a sad falafel rock and two dry falafel. Also it's the cheaper option but ended up being bigger than the bowl. It at least had dressing and hummus. Prices weren't bad considering their portion sizes, my wrap came up to about $11. I was also able to sample their White Peach Sangria another thing I highly recommend it's sweet & strong (but not too strong) all at the same time. Overall, food gets a 5/5 Atmosphere: the vibe here is legit! You get here & immediately see outdoor seating surrounded by twinkly strung lights. We split an order of sweet potato fries, really good sweet potato fries with garlic aioli on the side. I chose the Street Cart Doner Wrap ($12) with falafel, garlic aioli, fired lavash chips, romaine, cabbage, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumber, and tzatziki. You can get choose your protien, beef & lamb, chicken, or mixed meat - or all veggies. My friend opted for one of the bowls, don't recall which one, but she really enjoyed it. They have booze in cans and bottles along with non-alcoholic beverages. The total with tax and a generous tip was about $56. read more

They have games (What do you Meme, Cards Against Humanity, etc.) you can play outside in their patio area. The atmosphere overall is nice with all the artwork everywhere. Although I've never tried any drinks, they look good and people always speak highly of them! For food, I usually get the Street Cart Doner and choose mixed meat. I love their fries. I tried the sweet potato ones once, even though I'm not the biggest fan, and they were pretty good! I will say, sometimes their meat is a little dry. It might be better to just choose one type of meat because I've never had any complaints about the chicken or beef on its own. The parking situation is the only annoying thing about Spitz. Unfortunately, I feel their growth has been a bit of a detriment to how they started and won over many loyal customers.
