Oh my god, nothing short of amazing, chupe de mariscos...best I ever had, Ceviche...just perfect, paired with delicious Galan sauvignon blanc made this a great dining experience. I just loved the intimate family atmosphere, owner that personally inquired how we liked everything, non intrusive Latino music. Just great. When venturing out into broward county , decided to meet a fellow peruvian friend here for lunch. I had read the previous reviews and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant is in a mall strip...non pretentious yet cute inside. I ordered the original ceviche and a papa huancaina. The ceviche was big enough to share...but I ate it all myself.. lol..it tasted fresh and had a good lemoni flavor. The papa Huancaina was very filling and the yellow sauce was thick and tasty. What a wonderful experience, and out in the hinterlands of SW Broward County, no less! This is a well managed and quality restaurant serving up updated classics of Peruvian cuisine. My wife and I ordered a ceviche sampler, which was tasty, if a bit pricey. And it was silly large. It easily could have served a couple more people. We also had the pollo saltdo. I loved the flavors, and only wish they'd include a bit more tomato to go with the chicken and onions. Word to the wise: Save room for the mousse. They've got it in several flavors and they well worth the extra calories! We have eaten here twice now, and have had excellent meals each time. We used to drive up to Malulo's, but Sr. Ceviche has great food and is so close! The ceviche has been excellent; tender, fresh seafood and wonderful flavor. I had the Seco de Res tonight which was also great. The desserts are mostly different mousse prepared with tropical fruits. I tried this place solely because of the yelp reviews. Blue A. this one's for you! Came in around 8:15 on a Thursday night. As I sat to wait for my order (promised in 15 minutes) I noticed there were three tables of folks dining in and it was getting busier. I approached the server about placing a to-go order and he couldn't have been more helpful. I took his ceviche recommendation and also ordered the fish with seafood sauce. There were lots of different options to choose from and it was great to have someone explain in English for those of us who are not ceviche connoisseurs. There are a couple of tables outside and the inside is very simple. All of the furnishings looked like they came from IKEA. There are two flat screen TV's with Spanish shows on mute and Spanish music playing. The one server was hustling. Very attentive to me and all the tables. Food came out promptly in 15 minutes as promised and the server checked to make sure it was correct. Based on the amazing service I had high hopes for the food. I did enjoy the fish which was prepared in a francaise style with a yellow sauce. But the rice was kind of hard and unsalted. I was expecting the kind of rice you get from a Cuban place... Pillowy and steamed and salty. It was served with miscellaneous shellfish on top including a prawn with its head on (ewwwwwww!!!!!!) and clams that were really fishy tasting. And calamari that was chewy and bland. I picked all of it off and just ate the fish and rice. On to the ceviche... I absolutely loved the broth. Creamy and limey and just the right amount of spice. But the fish was quite fibrous and chewy. I thought I had ordered mixed seafood and would also get shrimp and squid but no such luck. I ended up eating mostly the corn kernels and slurping up the broth. I'm not sure if I will return. In my opinion the best Peruvian/ceviche I have ever had is at Ceviche 105 in Miami. I will have to keep searching for its Broward equivalent, if it even exists. read more

I love this place. The decor is marvelous and the customer service is outstanding. The seafood is always fresh and delicious. I enjoy the mixed and next trip will try something different. Simple, I ordered the Churrasco a lo pobre, and my wife ordered the Tallarines verdes con churrasco. Very simple plates, but flavorfull. We have been to several ceviche places in the north miami, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines area. This by far one of the better ones we had. Delicious. My boyfriend and I had the Ceviche clasico (it has only fish). It was beautifully presented and equally as yummy. Plenty of fish. We've been to places where it is all onion and corn and hardly fish, but NOT here. Plenty to eat and yet aesthetically pleasing. You have three options: mild, medium, spicy. I always get things spicy and this was not very spicy, but still had a great flavor. My boyfriend got the medium level and said there was a "hinge" of spice but just the perfect amount to call it spicy. Now don't let the outside trick you, inside it has nice modern decor. Warning it is a Peruvian restaurant so expect most of your waiters/waitresses to speak Spanish. They were all kind and very attentive to our needs. No complaints with service. The price of the food there is also reasonable. The price is what is expected of ceviche. Our ceviche clasico was 12 dollars. The shrimp and fish ceviche runs about 15 dollars to give you an idea of the prices. Overall good experience. We have been there twice and plan on continuing to go there. read more

The food presentation was good but the taste was just ok and the sangria was way too sweet to drink. I would leave 3 stars on the food but what won them 1 Star was the service. We had a reservation for a large party at 7:30 and we had to wait until 8:45 to sit. We had to wait outside in the cold with nothing. We were going to go someplace else but they said they would take care of us. Then we were all crammed together until the server brought us another table. They took forever to bring the drinks and the food. Then at the end they charged us for bring a birthday cake. They didn't help us out in any way and when we talked to the manager about this he flat out said "don't come back if you don't like it". Very rude people and the food isn't worth it.
