I asked how long before white rice would be re-upped and was told not before closing. I asked how long it took to make and was told 1.5 hours. I bypassed the line and walked to the cashier and asked to speak to the floor manager because that rice in no way could possibly take that long. New rice was brought out within five minutes. They had just finished cooking chicken and I asked to wait for it to be cut so I could have chicken in my bowl. It sat on the counter for ten minutes while workers were all preoccupied with the line worker who had gotten a small muffin from another coworker for a snack. Pretty sure the guy doing his best to ignore me went into the walk-in to eat the muffin while I was waiting for the chicken which is sitting on the cutting board with the knife resting on top of it. I'm just standing there like what the hell is happening right now. I asked to get a receipt so that I could leave a review on the corporate website after seeing the the prompt on the side of the cup. Was told that they receipt machine was broken but pointed out the person after me had a receipt printed. Magically it happened to get fixed. Not sure why the place was in disarray since there was no food to serve... Corporate needs to legit clean house in every sense of the word with this location. It's KILLING the brand trustworthiness. Extra. Want them combined with the protein? Extra. Then there's upsales after each bowl entry and when you go to check out. Even after all that, two junior bowls end up costing 36 bucks. The portion was fine for the price paid, and the quality of the food was good for a chain. None of my problems are the fault of the employees, they literally had no time between making orders to address the inbound customers. The problem is the company, and they are openly hostile towards their customer base. Unless you specifically are looking for a teriyaki bowl, I would highly advise that you look local and support those businesses before choosing this place.
