This is a very good store and super close to my home, which is a bonus for me. Super easy to access right off Madison Ave - run through the drive-thru and circle right back around on to Madison. Don't let a long drive-thru line detract you, often it's quicker than walking in! Good drinks, friendly staff. Overall, good! read more

Over the last month, my daily visits to this location have been less than satisfying, to say the least. With constant errors in preparing a simple Triple Grande Hot Skinny Mocha, random rearrangement of the only interior wheelchair table to an inaccessible location and harassment and neglect in the drive through, I have been forced to branch out to farther away stores. I'm not sure if the reason for this store's dramatic slip in quality and loss of customer service is because of change in management, untrained staff or loss of seasoned employees, but whatever it is good change needs to happen! I'm done. Seems like every time I go in they just can't get my single sandwich order right. Today they didn't have it ready after 10 minutes. And did I really need to wait 10 minutes for the 2nd food item - a cranberry bliss bar. I ask about the warm sandwich and they didn't have the sleeve even. It wasn't that busy. Can't complain about the coffee. I would suggest focusing a little more on the orders instead of being so overly friendly. read more

I would say this location is the least organized Starbucks. There is usually one or two people busting their butts behind the counter and the others don't seem to be in any sort of rush to get your order or drink made. A couple of weeks ago, I was the 2nd person in line and the guy who was behind the counter was restocking everything before he decided (over 5 mins or so) that it was finally time to help the lady in front of me and take our orders. They do a pretty good job in the drive through, but wish they were more organized inside though. read more

Today, i went to Starbucks, to get something to wake my exhausted self up. to give a little context.I work 6-7 days, a week making sandwhiches , and building/running, a music production/entertainment business. I spend most of my days, exhausted and working endlessly. point is I need my coffee. Today i show up, head fuzzy, eyes puffy, ordered a venti 4 shot blonde latte (Not a cheap drink), and somehow forgot my wallet, being the squirrel type that I am. The very pleasant young blonde woman greeted me graciously at the window. and when I asked if I could run home to grab my wallet, she smiled, and replied, "don't worry about it." Love Starbucks, just not this location. While I was on a contract I got off late (near closing) and stopped by Starbucks for a Chai Tea Latte, it was served cold and with way too much water. When tried to catch them to have it remade as they were locking the doors the gal locking the door was extremely rude and told me to...and I quote "stop being a little bitch about it" before closing and locking the door on me! I stood there cold drink in my hand surprised by the treatment, I wish I had been making it up but man... if you want coffee just go to the Safeway in the same parking lot... night and day difference! read more

This is to highlight a barista named Marcus. I will have to say after living many locations around the world (Japan, Thailand, Hanover, New Hamphsire, Philly, PA, Tucson, AZ, Maui, Hawaii, Sacto, CA, Roseville, CA and Honolulu, HI and being a coffee aficionado that Marcus makes the best latte. I have routinely gone to Starbucks in each place I have lived. I have even traveled to Kobe from the remote area I lived in in Japan to get a latte weekly. I have a latte from Starbucks daily now & get the exact same drink at three different locations depending on when I have time to get my latte. I visit these three locations: Pleasant Grove/Foothills blvd drive thru, Douglas Ave across from Kaiser Roseville and the Madison location in Fair Oaks. Marcus by far makes the best latte & should be utilized in a training capacity to teach others. I have been drinking coffee for 20 years & daily. So in case you forgot to get Starbucks while inside Safeway, fear not because this location is literally in the same parking lot! The store itself is nice and I like the atmosphere. It's cozier than most locations. The staff were nice and professional as well. Sadly, it took an unusually long time to get my order in (only one customer in front of me). And with all the baristas working at the time I came in, it was disappointing to see that nobody was capable of "floating" so they could get my order started. As clean and neat as this Starbucks can be, I pay extra because of the experience. When that doesn't happen, I tend not to be very impressed. Overall, if you can manage to drive down the street to another Starbucks location, I suggest doing so. But if you really need your Starbucks fix, then hit up the drive-thru here. It seems to go faster than going inside when there is only one customer ordering. read more

I was in this Starbucks the other day to do some writing, well, as I went to pay for my coffee with my phone app, it was messing up for some reason. I told the lady behind the counter that my app was messing up and to go ahead and help the person behind me while I try and fix it. Well, I was standing to the side trying to get it fixed and after a couple of minutes the lady just smiled and said, "go ahead and take the coffee, it's ok, sometimes we have problems with those things." I REALLY appreciated the gesture, but I was determined to pay for my coffee, because I didn't wan't to seem like I was trying to pull some kind of shenanigan. Well, I finally got the app to work, got my coffee, and the lady was VERY nice to me. I sat there and wrote on my book for about 3 hours, had a few additional snacks and a drink there and had a very pleasant time. I don't know the lady's name, but thank you for being so nice to me, you made my morning. read more

Reading some of these negative reviews DISAPPOINTS ME! I go to this location ALL THE TIME. Never have I had a bad experience. I worked in retail for years before I moved on. This is not an easy job at all. The people are friendly, try their best, and put up with a lot. If you only go to one Starbucks in your life, THIS should be the one. read more

Ok, so. I don't usually post a lot of reviews but I felt this store deserved it. I'm used to getting pretty okay service here but today the baristas really went above and beyond. I did a mobile order and showed up a lot faster than anticipated so I expected to wait a couple minutes, no big deal. Not only was my drink ready when I got there, it was made perfectly and every barista behind the counter (there were quite a few) greeted me with a friendly "good morning!" When I walked in the door. The barista making the drinks was very friendly as I grabbed my drinks and the necessary straws and drink holder and sent me on my way. Would recommend! read more

I've only gone to this starbucks a couple of times, and was never disappointed. Today I went in to order something a little strange. A green tea, frap, with peppermint syrup and Java chips. My friend had ordered one the other day and said it tasted exactly like a mint cookie. So I was like, YES! I need this. I felt bad ordering, since I thought it was a 'special' item and they were pretty busy.. When I got it (very quickly) it tasted mostly like green tea.. so I asked to add a little more peppermint syrup. I had no idea they'd have to remake the whole thing and I felt so bad! I was 'one of those people'. But the lovely man who took my 're-do' said it was no problem, I apologized and he made me feel not so guilty lol. Told me I 'wasn't one of those people, I was a nice lady" hahah. I work customer service as well, I hate it when people do things like that and I felt like such an a-hole. The whole staff there is friendly and amazingly quick. They were so busy today, they had my drink, then re-do drink done in under ten minutes. All the while having non stop drive through and walk in orders. Kudos to them, and especially the guy who took my re-do in stride. read more
