Starbucks - My favorite - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Rosemead, California

The Starbucks on Garvey and San Gabriel is a great one in my opinion. The service is always adequate, and the workers are always nice and smiling. Whenever I go to other Starbucks, I avoid getting the Vanilla Bean frappuccino since they are too watery and bland, but the one here is my favorite. Every other frappuccino tastes great and the lattes are wonderful, not too sweet but rich. I went here for a meeting (for the first time) and there was enough room, to my surprise, for 10 people in a table. The couches and sofas are quite comfy and the atmosphere is pretty superb. I live just a few blocks from this place so I come often. What a joy (: The noise level was fine, but I wish they'd clean up the surroundings. A very standard looking Starbucks in terms of appearance. Seating was difficult to find inside because of all the people studying, but whatever. Plenty of seating on the patio. I came in after a BOGO event just ended, so I wasn't really surprised that the baristas weren't super energetic. But even then, Ashley was very patient and understanding as she took my order for a crazy modified $8 Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with a reward. She even took the trouble to make sure I was getting my whole reward's worth of drink. Too bad they didn't have any of those BBQ chips when I went though. I love my local Starbucks. My barista is always cheerful and even though I bring my own domeless cup, they still let me get whipped cream :) The downside is that the parking lot is small and narrow. DO NOT park on the side of the building, that's CVS/Hoa Binh parking only and the tow truck guys like to camp out in the lot. read more

They can actually make a Tazo chai tea soy misto without me having me walk them through the process each time. Even better, they charge me the right price for it (it's the price of a regular tea with soy which is about a buck cheaper than the chai tea (soy) latte from a syrup). Bad parking, yes. This SB is down on Garvey & San Gabriel in the city of Rosmead. Seemed like a "whole-in-wall" SB and very stinky that day......like child care stinky. Conveniently located in a plaza on San Gabriel Blvd. Parking can be tricky but you can just park a little further in the back next to CVS. I used to go here every day during lunchtime and sometimes I would have to share a small table or wait for a seat to open up. Now they have added a lot more seating including a long bar table and stools near the windows. The wifi is spotty at times. The staff is friendly and they've never gotten my drink order wrong. Just try to avoid the bums that are crouched near the entrance and even sometimes strewn across the pathway (yes I've seen that and had to side step my way around). Not the most glamorous Starbucks location but their drinks keep me happily caffeinated for another busy work day. read more

This is my regular, closest to home Starbucks. There's not much room to sit in here, but for free wi-fi, it'll do. I haven't had any bad experiences with customer service thus far, so no complaints there. The location is not the best though... though it's on a corner and there's usually parking, the parking lot is just shaped so that it's not convenient to drive in and out. This is probably the best Starbucks I've seen in the San Gabriel Valley, at least if you need a place to use your laptop. I used to live a mile from this place and came regularly.. Coming here at random opening hours around the clock, I've been able to find a seat with a plug available for my laptop maybe 9 out of 10 times. The parking lot gets packed immediately. Come early to get parking or try to park around the corner behind Payless or next to CVS. The customer service is alright, they seem to be more interested in talking to other employees than talking to the customer. This starbucks is always packed with old asian men. Outside seating is packed as well with old asian men who are constantly smoking. They seem to be like chimneys. The seating inside is not so great either. The staff at this location is super friendly and have great customer service. This location can get really busy and packed but the staff are awesome and get their customers in and out pretty quickly. Matthew is a great staff here. He always greats the customers with a smile, "hello", "thank you, and "have a great day". This location is good to come to if you want to study or work on a homework assignment. read more

I don't usually write review on Starbucks because the are pretty much the same everywhere. You get what you expected to get from Starbucks. Nothing less bit nothing more. But what made me write this review was for their employees here today :) a girl who was making my coffee was super cheerful, friendly and cool. I like my tall or grande iced coffee with one pump syrup and very easy ice. I must have bee pretty annoying customer for asking "really little bit of ice", but the girl who was making my coffee was super cool and she even scoop ice and asked me if that's the right amount! I personally don't really like this particular Starbucks. It's not the service that's bad, the workers here are great don't get me wrong. It's just that in this small forsaken plaza there's VERY LIMITED parking during the day, particularly from 12PM-4PM. I come here often due to the convenience that it's close by and that I like to come here to study while sipping on a nice cold tea. However from coming here so often, you see the ups and down this place has to offer. There's often a large group of non-english speaking customers who carry conversations pretty loud that challenges the noises made by the blenders. There's also some pretty deranged or crazy folk that occasionally come by the store to yell at the customers and workers; it can be funny at times but also scary if you happen to sit right next to the door. read more

Good location, parking in the front. I come here every Saturday morning before work. My usual is a venti iced caramel macchiato with no pumps of vanilla and extra caramel. Just came for a peppermint soy white mocha, my favorite way to celebrate the holidays. Can I make a better caffeinated beverage myself, Yes... but when I'm thousands of miles away with no other cafe or small business spot in site, I'll come to Sbux. Just like most others, it is a pricey 5 bucks for a grande drink, but that's what the average is these days. There's nothing special about this Sbux, but there's nothing bad about it either. This starbucks plaza is a bit tricky to get into and the parking lot in front has very limited spots. Many spots seem to be reserved for specific businesses. Good luck finding parking early in the morning! This is always a struggle for me if I stop by for a morning coffee. There are also always many old smoking men standing around the plaza every time I go, which is a bit off putting because there is a outdoor patio area that has potential to be nice. Came here on Christmas Day. I get it the store was busy and it's Christmas you would rather be at home with family and love ones but you don't have to be rude. I asked for a cup holder and the barista she rudely tossed it at the counter towards me. I told her don't tossed the cup holder at me and me and she grabbed the cup holder and said:"It's Christmas and I don't I have to be here to make coffe for you" and tossed the cup holder at me. I was surprised she would make a comment like that and proud of what she said and did. She also told me if I have a complaint I can talk to her manager and that the manager will be be back on Monday. I pretended to take a picture of her and she said wait. I didn't get to posed or smile for your picture. What a f***ing b****. She have no shame. If you didn't want to work on Christmas you could have said no to your boss and your boss can give your shift to another co worker. You decided to work this day and have an attitude about it. How is that my fault? Don't take it out on me. You wanted to work and get double pay for your hours so don't be pissed about it. There are other people that don't have a job and don't get to spend Christmas with their loved ones too. This place has terrible customer service. They should fire all the teenagers they employ. I was waiting at the cashier to order while they ignored me and kept on with their conversation. This skinny girl with really long hair was moving some boxes and asked me to move but didn't offer to help me move my current table as there was no other tables available.
