Starbucks or SBUX... they are practically around every corner right. Coffee is the same, furniture is the same, the layout almost the same, the other offering the same... So really how can you do a review of a SBUX store. We'll in my opinion it's the people and ambiance that is created. OK, so this place is humming in the morning due to it's prime location. There is a new competitor opening a block away or so away but I think that I am still going to go here. If you really don't want to stand waiting in line I say go ahead and take advantage of your app. The service is great even when it busy , the baristas still call you by your name. Good efficient service so call in your order. Parking can be a challenge so if you are in going to pick up your order I suggest to hoof it if you work nearby. I am avid Starbucks customer. My job takes me all around the county. I have been to dozens of Starbucks. I get my same Venti Oatmilk shaken espresso every time. Today, I went to the starbucks on Aero because I was picking up bagels for my colleagues. I ordered and at 6:30 am I saw a young girl overwhelmed with orders. I have seen my drink made many many times. This one was the most scurried I have seen. I have seen other baristas slammed but made a good drink. Mind you I am paying $6.25 for the drink. I get the drink and once the fuzz goes down got lower than a grande. My wife and I get slightly annoyed when they dont fill it all the way (or near) the top. Here....this was below a grande. I was on my way to a family event and was worried about the time when I saw 6 customers in front of me. One of the barristas went down the line to take orders to save time. I was receiving order requests from family while in line and these new orders got added easily. After I sat down to wait, I got a new order request and I went back in line behind another 4 customers to place the new order. AIl the drinks were made correctly in a timely manner despite the complicated order. The only thing to improve on is to wipe the counter where completed drinks are placed because the condensation build-up led to wet straw wrappers. I have recently become a fan of Starbucks. Friday morning I had a huge issue with my usual breakfast sandwich the ham and swiss. Been coming here for a couple of weeks. Staff is very nice. I love coffee and drink cold brews pour overs, French presses and the occasional latte. Should not be surprised that Starbucks does not have stellar black coffee but they do not follow any standards for a good cup of black coffee here. Since moving to SD, I think this is now my go-tp Starbucks. No drive through which is nice because they're able to pay more attention to the customers inside and I actually like going in to order my drink. Quick service, a friendly staff, and coffee...can't ask for much more. The inside isn't the biggest, but they have a lot of shaded outdoor seating that you can use. The parking lot is relatively large for the stores in this area so parking shouldn't be a problem. read more

Moved to San Diego a few weeks ago, and near my house there are 4 Starbucks within 5 miles, and this Starbuck which is located in Murphy Canyon Road is so far the best, and also the only one with no drive-through service(I didn't really pay attention with that the last couple times I visited, but today I realized it's a huge pro). I am a tea person, went to the other Starbucks last few weeks, 99% of the time their Baristas just put teabags into Iced cold water and then serve as an "Iced Tea" lol. But in this Starbuck, their barista really take my order seriously- Brew the tea at least 5 minutes in hot water and then add on ice, perfect perfect perfect(so impressed). The only reason this Starbucks has 4 stars is because of the LACK of 'Drive Thru'. Say it with me people, "Drrrriiiiiiive Thhhrrrruuuuu". I don't get Starbucks often, but when I do, it means I've had less than 5 hours of sleep, I have a huge day ahead of me, I'm sick, or one of my students have me a Starbucks gift card that is burning a hole in my pocket (iPhone). For that reason, I would prefer not to get out of my car (yes, first world problems). However, these baristas are sweet, they remember their customers, and they ask if you want sprinkles or extra syrup... Stuff like that. My favorite barista is Jose! So I ordered through my phone on my Starbucks app and it gave me the option to get it with no ice so I do since the drink is already cold and my teeth are sensitive to cold. I get there and see my trenta drink is almost halfway full so I tell the worker there that it's only half full, she proceeds to tell me that if I want it full I have to pay extra because I ordered it with no ice it uses more of their inventory and messes it up so they don't fill them up when it has no ice.
