    Breakfast impossible bagel
    Karina A.

Overall this place is really good but I do wish they had a few more breakfast options/options to customize items a little. Parking was easy as luckily there's a retail parking garage. This place was packed on a Saturday morning, food and drink took about 15min or so. There's no menu so my only option was to order at the kiosk. I got the banana bloom and it was amazing. The cold foam was the perfect amount of sweetness and even with banana in the drink it wasn't overpowering, one of the best banana drinks I've had. The breakfast sandwich was good too but it did feel a little too salty. Overall, really good place to check out if you're in the area!

I really wanted to like their matcha but... I just don't. Maybe I'll come back in the future and give it another chance. The matcha tastes powdery and since STARDUST is a more health-forward cafe, they use coconut milk by default which is.. meh to me. I thought the churros were really good. Ambiance is nice and is more for students it seems. Everyone is working away on their laptops. Workers are friendly and if you dine in, they serve you your drinks and meals. Ordering is simple, they have some iPad kiosks and you grab a number.

I've been really into açaí lately and my friend raved about the bowls at Stardust. Pros: Really nice, roomy cafe that has some very quiet, respectful, studious occupants. I honestly have never been in a populated cafe with such a low noise level. The menu selection, especially for açaí, is VAST. like more so than standalone açaí shops. Cons: The açaí wasn't bad, like a 7/10. But compared to some other locations, I was a bit disappointed. The passionfruit and "blue" (some sort of artificially colored blue syrup or yogurt), is really too sweet. It's also just called "blue", which my girlfriend found funny but there's no elaboration beyond that on the menu. It's definitely not a blue spirulina from what i can tell, as they specify on other items on the menu. ordering is kiosk-based, and the staff generally seemed nice but it did feel a bit curt when i asked a question about the order numbers that the kiosk asked me to place at my table for staff to see. They do in fact not bring the order to your table but just call out the number, which is fine but the kiosk message is rather misleading. Mine was for takeout though, which confused me even more with the number and table service blurb that popped up when i finished ordering. Parking is available next to this and the Jack in the Box, which is actually great, but it's kind of hard to tell on maps, so i do recommend just driving directly here and turning in right before Jack. Stardust has a fun menu selection and a good ambiance overall, but I probably wouldn't come back.

For a place that has a lot of different flavors, I was a bit skeptical. I got the banana cream matcha and my friend got the reg matcha. Unfortunately, was super disappointed in both drinks. The banana cream was good and did not taste artificial, but it tasted very watered down with the matcha. The reg matcha was grainy and very watery. For such a wide variety of flavors offered, the base (in this case, matcha) needs to be solid. I did not try the food as it was pretty pricey ($15 for a mushroom toast )

FLAVOR (3/5): Came here to try their matcha but tell me why early in the morning they don't have any matcha at all. Ended up getting their black sesame milk instead because I don't like coffee. The black sesame does have a nutty toasted flavor but it eventually got watered down really quickly. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (4/5): Cute cafe style, decent for work. Lots of seating. SERVICE (3/5): Drinks actually took a long time despite at least two people working. Not a pop in grab a quick coffee and go type of vibe. TAKEAWAYS: Would come back to potentially give their matcha a shot. No outdoor seating.

10/10 I ended up getting the new ignite açaí bowl and the black sesame coffee which was super tasty. I was surprise that I ended up liking the black sesame coffee because I normally don't like anything with sesame seeds. But this gave it such a vibrant nutty taste that wasn't over powering. This is definitely my go to place to study right before finals week. And they have great music taste to whoever's playlist was on yesterday :)

I love the unique specialty coffee/matcha menu, and all of the fun toasts and acai bowl options! I got the strawberry collagen coffee and the mushroom toast, and it was pretty good. No notes for the mushroom toast, and the strawberry flavoring of the coffee was super tasty. Espresso was a tad bitter but the strawberry helped a lot. I would definitely come back here and recommend it! I will note though that at the time we went it was pretty busy and it took a while to get our orders and there wasn't a lot of seats available. So maybe not the best option for a quick coffee, but a fun place to come catch up with friends

The food was wonderful, we had fancy toasts. Tried the strawberry collagen latte and a banana latte. I enjoyed the banana more. Service was quick and so kind! High ceilings make it a little echoey, but it was nice and easy to have a conversation!

Second time back and this time I brought my friends since I kept raving about Stardust to them! - Service: they were EXTREMELY BUSY but were quick on their feet and very nice. I think they handled it as effectively as they could with 2 servers both serving and making drinks. - Ambiance: one of my favorite study spaces! Many tables with pets welcome!!! There is a corner in the back with wooden seating that is very comfy! Lots of outlets as well. - I had the coffee with avocado and it was delicious! My friend had the strawberry match and strawberry guava and finished both before I even finished mine. Flavorful, just sweet enough, and caffeinated. Will be back soon :) FYI lots of parking! There is retail parking to the right of the cafe.

Very busy on a Saturday morning, I stopped by on one of my first weekends in the area. We got the Adaptogenic mushroom toast, B.A.E. Area sandwich (soft scrambled egg, american cheddar, mayo, bacon, avocado on soft bun), Strawberry Collagen Matcha and the Purple Moon which is ube taro, milk, double shot of espresso. I loved my order, but the food portions were really small for the prices. Great drinks, amazing vibes. I'm new here, send me recs.

Wanted to chill at a café in San Jose and found this place near SCU. Parking was pretty convenient. This cafe is below an apartment or condo complex. When I came in, they were pretty busy. There were only 2 people working behind the counter so I had to use the self serve. I think it was the lunch rush so just take note of that. I ordered the passionate mango matcha and house Margherita pizza. The drink was actually petty good and not overly sweet at all. The pizza was a good size, I couldn't even finish it. I also appreciated that the sauce was on the side instead of it being on the pizza itself. All in all this cafe is a good place to visit. They have a good selection for drinks and food. Hopefully they have more staff than just two people, i think it will help the load of the work and people don't have to wait 10-15 minutes for a drink.

I came here Monday morning and it was so cool how it filled up. A seat became a hot commodity. You order on a kiosk, pick a number, and take it to your table where they then deliver your order (if you're eating in.) I enjoyed my Spam I am breakfast sandwich--particularly the bread, cheese, and spam! Not sure how healthy it was, but I knew that going in. The Purple Moon iced oat milk ($7.25) was rich and creamy. I thought the taro flavor could've been stronger. Interior is a light and airy from the large windows, but also kinda clean and sterile. Could use more artwork. Service was fine.

The barista was very informative and had some good suggestions. I like that they assign you a seated area. It's a good place to hang out while working on your laptop or catching up with some friends. It was a little pricy, but id go back

She said it was a tad bitter, but I think that's just because the place she normally goes to puts simple syrup in it? We need to ask them their input next time, but she still said it was really good quality and a very generous serving. I also paired my cappuccino with a scone with cranberry raisins. It was pretty good. Ambience is really nice and my daughter even agreed it's one of the nicer settings. However, getting seating is very challenging and parking, I'll be honest, is a nightmare. They don't let you park in most of the residence areas either. (Although I should mention they do have their own lot, it's just very popular :-) With higher prices on everything, including coffee, this is my go to. If I'm going to splurge, I'd rather spend my money here, a local coffee shop that gets it right, every time.

The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. It's like an unobtainable quest but whenever I have the chance to fill that empty void, I do so by randomly sampling. So what makes a good empanada? To me, I look for a buttery and flaky outer shell. Best Artisan Empanadas menu offers a long list of drinks ranging from espresso, teas, lattes, frappes, smoothies, and alcoholic drinks. The empanadas come in savory and sweet options. Bae has the recipe down to a T and will make even the toughest eater a fan! The chicken and mushroom empanada was exceptionally delicious- creamy, flavorful, and very tasty. I would have easily grabbed another if we didn't already have plans for our next bite. The traditional beef empanada was good but the raisins totally threw me off. The plump, overly sweet raisins weren't a good combo with the salty olives according to my tastebuds. Again, this was still very doable but I made sure to remove each raisin I came across. The mango tropical shaker was okay, just a little too sweet for me. 5/5 stars for BAE's empanadas. I eagerly look forward to trying the panzerotto [pizza], chorizo, and assorted breakfast empanadas. BAE is clean, organized, and neat; the interior is more like a cafe than a messy mom-and-pop restaurant. The empanadas are clearly displayed on the cashier's side, each with a label underneath. There are corners decorated for selfies or simply a good mood cheering. Overall, it's visually appealing. We ordered the Chicken and Mushroom, Potato Egg and Cheese, and Bacon Egg and Cheese. The cashier was polite and offered us some sauce choices. They are $0.5 each. We chose Tsatziki which has Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil and dill. It wasn't our cup of tea. We chose take out and each empanada was nicely warmed, wrapped and clearly labeled in each paper. The empanadas I would rate them in this order: potato egg and cheese, chicken mushroom, bacon egg and cheese. The Potato Egg and Cheese has diced onions inside, but it's soft and warm, very balanced in flavor and texture. Top notch comfort food. The Chicken and Mushroom filling was creamier than I thought. I was not expecting a white cream cheese element in it, nevertheless, chunky chicken and mushroom slices are solid. I was most disappointed at Bacon Egg and Cheese. It was too salty and the egg looked and tasted like those overcooked dry breakfast eggs from Comfort Inn breakfast where it came out from some kind of liquid egg box. My six-year-old nephew claimed the Garlic Asiago Bloom and absolutely loved it, calling it soft and delicious. The Jalapeño Bloom was also extremely good, offering a wonderful kick from the jalapeños alongside a very generous amount of cream cheese.
