    SteelCraft Vendors.

On 05/12/26, I Visited Steel SteelCraft Long Beach which is an outdoor, open-air urban eatery located in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, California. It's a neat structure entirely built from repurposed shipping containers. It's a cool dining and social place that offers a variety of local food vendors, craft beer, coffee, and desserts. The venue now changes out vendors which will provide more tasting experiences. We dined at "Elio's Wood Fire Pizza". The pizza is delicious . I had Pepperoni, Sausage, Black Olives, Onions & Red Bell Pepper. Yummy! For drinks we tried "Off Duty Beer & Wine". I was not disappointed. We tried the Figueroa Mountain Pale Ale & the Watermelon Aqua Fresca Hard Cider. They were both very good & refreshing. The customer service was good at each vendor we tried. The worker at "Off Duty Beer & Wine" was very informative. I recommend this venue. There is a parking area in the back of the venue and a larger parking lot across the street. This is a great place for a family day or date night.

First time here and we celebrated my brothers 16th birthday! They don't take reservations and it's pretty busy so I got there at 5p to grab a table. They let me decorate with a table cloth, air filled balloons and a cake. They don't allow helium balloons. They have 2 tv's and different food vendors. It's like a food market/food court. Hangry Belly (burgers) - they were out of brisket, avocado and turkey patties which is their top sellers. They have chili cheese fries and other loaded fries options too. Tacos and Birria Ramen Huge portions and lots of birria. They don't skimp out here. They give sauces, limes and the sides of rice and beans are huge Pizzeria About $18 - lots of pepperoni it was so good. We got extra for $3. You get a whole pizza of 8 slices so it's worth the price Beer bar Birria Tacos - very good they give you 2 big ones and pack it with meat. The birria ramen is good to but it does need a bit more flavor Hangry belly- the meat is delicious but it's a potato bun so not my fav. I like a softer moist bun. The parking isn't the best. It's a small parking lot or surrounding parking a block a way if you find any. They had a cool live dj but NO ARCADE OR GAMES HERE. That's at the Bellflower location.

This is the outside of the place. They have beer on tap as well and Flat TV's.

Omg if you are ever in Anaheim you need to stop at this place to enjoy the variety of delicious foods and desserts they have to offer. Service is excellent and vibe is great. You will not regret going here to enjoy dinner drinks and dessert.

It was Oktoberfest there. Pretty Kool crowd. All ages even family. You can order beer or food. Not sure if they have spirits. Pretty Kool spot. #HaveYourOwnExperience

I came here literally just for Elio's wood fire pizza! I usually drive from OC all the way to LA for their food truck. It's always worth the drive but when I found out that they just opened a location in Long Beach, I knew I had to go. It was our first time at steel craft so I wasn't aware that there was going to be more food vendors. I loved how there was a variety of food choices and that there was a small brewery. I was able to grab a beer and have it with my pizza which was great! Now let's get to the pizza. 10/10!!!! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! If you haven't tried Elio's yet now is the time! We got a margherita pizza with pepperoni and a white pizza with sausage. The dough itself is so light and you can taste the fire from their wood fired oven. Worth the drive! I've gone to so many pizza spots and hands down Elio's is up in my top 5.

Such a vibe for sure. Came here with my husband for lunch and the concept of this place is def cool. Lots of containers with different vendors and you can pick and choose what you want to eat and there is something for everybody. They have a brewery onsite and the other vendors sell drinks too. I love the open space, the lights and just ambiance is pretty cool. They even have TV's with sports on so you. An easily catch a game here too. I ordered food from the Mexican vendors and my husband for a Pizza. Both were very delicious. The pizza was great and love that they give it to you in the box already in case you don't finish it you can take it to go. My tacos were delicious, especially my fish taco was the best one for sure. The presentation was great and they even tasted good as well. Their chips were a bit greasy for me but still good, their salsa was fantastic. They had other fun food options as well it's just what you are in the mood for. The spots we grabbed food the service was great, very efficient and hard working. Love the concept of the place and of you are looking to meet up with friends for a quick bite or hang on a Friday night this is the spot for sure.

The birria tacos were amazing! Juicy, fresh, consome- delicious. The service was quick, the location was not too crowded- they have their own parking lot plus an additional lot. Outdoor location- pet and family friendly.

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. There is a variety of food options to choose from. I got a burger and fries, both of which were pretty good. Some friends got Mexican food and enjoyed it. There's a great variety of beers to choose from as well, all the ones I tried were delicious! I'm a big fan of the outdoor seating for fresh air. Also, a big plus was the clean bathroom!

I come to SteelCraft every year or two and I appreciate how they offer a unique take on dining. They have a few different food options, coffee, and Smog city has taps if you want a refreshing beer. Parking can be found in the lot or in the neighborhood.

Parking can be an issue at times, the lot is small. There is street parking and also additional parking across the street. It's a bit small, the employees keep the place clean. There is a good variety of foods

This original location of SteelCraft food court opened in Long Beach in 2017. It has since expanded to nearby Bellflower and Garden Grove. It was my first time here, so my wife explained how things worked. Parking can always be a problem in Long Beach, but it seemed as if it was well thought out...with multiple well marked lots to park for free, and even neighboring businesses allowing their spots to be used after their business hours. It consists of six, soon-to-be 7 food vendors (Asian, Pizza, burgers, beer, Mexican, coffee, and acai) and there is no overlap of cuisines between vendors. Everybody shares communal bench seating tables (though when we came it wasn't too busy so got a table to ourselves). We stopped in for lunch on a Friday, and it's a typical food court set-up, where you choose the vendor and order/pay with them. There is a shared water dispenser, so you can fill up if you have your own water container. Otherwise all other food and beverages are not allowed. There is one set of gender bathrooms for the complex (4-6 stalls in each). We are thinking about suggesting a group gathering of 40 people here, and the management has processes in place to handle such scenarios...so will work with them in the future. If it works out, will definitely come back to update my review.

    Birria Ramen and Califries

The food all looked delicious but the birria ramen and califries from La Taqueria Brand was the best. Yissel provided quick and helpful service in helping me chose what to purchase. The place was clean and well themed. Definitely would come again and try the rest of their speciality menu

If you have a group of people and you're not sure where to eat you should take them here. There's vegan and GF options too. There's truly something for everyone from burgers, tacos, pizzas and bao buns! I got vegan birria tacos and they were stuffed and full of flavor. I've been here twice and the time it was a Saturday there was live music which was really nice. They also have tvs showing sports if you're into that. Definitely coming back in the future!

Hello! Are there patio warmers or heaters on cold days? Looking to go for the winter but have children

Yes, they have heaters. Sitting closer to the street side is warmer.

    Are there outdoor heaters?

Yes! There are some in the covered area where tables are!

I understand it's open seating but if a group showed up on a Saturday night, what would be a good time to show up to claim some tables before there's a crowd?

Great question! It's tough to say there's a consistent time when you can claim tables, especially on a Saturday night. If you would like guaranteed seating, you can always fill out the Host An Event form on steelcraftlb.com/contact and reserve… Read more

Masks are no longer mandated per the latest CDC/LBC orders. It's recommended for unvaccinated and those who are immunocompromised. As with all situations, please be safe and practice common sense with your choice to mask or not.

At what time does Steelhead coffee close?

Steelhead Coffee closes at 5pm daily!

    Can you bring the doggy?

All furry friends are allowed at SteelCraft as long as they are leashed!

Are there outlets to charge devices?

Unfortunately there aren't any charging stations. However, there is one outlet located on the north facing picnic area under the TV.

Anymore ramen avail and takoyaki when are they going to be avail?

Hi there! We have delicious birria ramen from La Taqueria Brand, other than that our ramen/takoyaki vendor is no longer at this location. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Is there a place where can park our bikes?

    Yes

Is the Long Beach location open yet for outdoor dining?

Hi There! Yes, we are open for outdoor dining.

Do they close their doors right at 9pm? Do they kick people out?

They won't necessarily close the doors or kick people out, but you'll realise kitchens start closing and people cleaning out the tables. That's your cue :)

Did they get rid of the snow cone ice cream place that was located outside?

Yes, unfortunately they closed their doors.

Do you need to make reservations or you can just walk in?

    Walk in!

Is the shaved ice place still open?

Not sure. If it's not you could always try the deep fried ice cream :)

An Easter bunny making its first appearance with the little one. Plus the weather was great which brings people out. Location is amazing as there's shopping, and dining inside and surrounding area. There's plenty of parking with the massive lot all over. Inside, I did see some familiar places from the last time as well as some new spots that popped up. I don't know if a lot of them do well. But if they do, it means they're good. You have the food stalls, there's a brewery towards the back and also a Long Beach shop right in the middle. Seating is limited inside but plenty of seating right outside. Some covered and some out in the open. Loads of restaurants to choose from outside which is more full on dining experience. The concept is great. Nice options on places to choose from. A fun little place for a meal and mingling.

We tried a few places, but it looks like some new ones are about to open soon. At Marinate we tried the popcorn chicken and got the sauces on the side (a hack so that the chicken stays crispy). We got three sauces. The first was habanero and it had a good kick, definitely spice forward. Second sauce was the sweet and sour, which I liked to pair with the habanero so give it some spice. Third was a sweet orange sauce, which was a little too sweet for me. The chicken was battered and very crispy. At The Kroft, we had the Wagyu Spicy Jack Smash Burger. It had wagyu beef patties, slices of spicy jack cheese, grilled onions, candied bacon, sauteed mushrooms, roasted jalapeno garlic mayo on a brioche bun. The wagyu patties were perfectly crispy on the outside. This was my favorite, out of the food we got. At Tenori we got the spam musubi, it was actually a good ratio of spam and rice! My biggest complaint of most spam musubi's is that there is way too much rice and the thinnest slice of spam. But that wasn't the case this time! The vibe is really cool because it's aviation themed and was built on former McDonnell Douglas/Boeing aircraft manufacturing land. There's a decent amount of seating inside, and more outside. It's very family friendly, there's a small lawn where people laid blankets. But be prepared for all kids running around.

It was a nice addition to the mini food court in Long Beach, but unfortunately, times got tough for them to the point where they had to pull the plug on their operations. I Luv Ur Buns was one of seven vendors at Steelcraft Long Beach on the southeast corner of Long Beach and Bixby. They had taken over the spot that used to be Waffle Love, and it was such a quick turnaround that on my first visit to Steelcraft Long Beach since the Waffle Love closure, I almost thought they seamlessly rebranded from waffles to bao buns lol. Signage was posted around the shipping container assigned to I Luv Ur Buns and even a signicade closer to Steelhead Coffee; the signs informed customers that they were closing and that the Sunday preceding Martin Luther King Jr Day would be their last day of business, which also happened to be the same day the LA Rams were playing in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs, so I almost thought Steelcraft would be jam-packed. Actually, no it wasn't even that busy, and there were several parking spots available just around Steelcraft. I definitely wanted to try a bao bun, but not a full dinner, so that left me with the two Global Flavors sections of the menu. One section was titled "Global Flavors on Bao Buns" where you basically get two bao buns. Don't think these bao buns are large by any means; I tried a couple at Sosogu sometime last year, and they're not that big either. They would have been the perfect size for a snack, but I was also curious about the other Global Flavors section, titled "Global Flavors with Rice or Fries". That section only has two line items: Mini Bowls and Loaded Fries. I didn't want fries, but when I asked about a Mini Bowl, I was informed that it was a deconstructed version of a bao bun with a small mound of rice. Wanting a little more variety, I went with the Bao Mi Mini Bowl. The menu did get a little confusing for me because I had noticed the (V), which usually stands for either vegan or vegetarian. However, they had several non-vegetarian items with (V), and that had me confused at first; like how is a bao bun with grilled pork belly vegetarian?? That's when the cashier, sporting a black nose ring, let me know that it can be ordered with a plant-based option, namely tofu. However, the cashier also mentioned the use of a shared fryer between their plant-based options and their regular options, so if you were strictly vegan, I'd think twice first. I asked how long the wait would be, and they estimated 10 minutes, which was pretty much spot on. I was given a pager that buzzed when my order was ready, and since there was plenty of space for me to eat, I was given a red tray with an "I Luv Ur Buns" sticker in the middle. The mini bowl was presented on a small tray, like one you'd use when you're giving out samples at a special event. I was also given a fork, which was another reason why I ordered a Mini Bowl over two bao buns as I wanted to keep my hands clean. Besides the grilled pork belly, the Bao Mi also comes with hoisin sauce, cucumber, jalapeno, onion, and cilantro. All of what I just mentioned tasted pretty good, though not necessarily as good as what I had at Sosogu last year. Then again, the Bao Mi is Vietnamese-style whereas Sosogu is Japanese, but between the two, which are the two cheapest options at $10, the Bao Mi was the most popular alongside their Korean-style, called Seoul on Fire. I'm pretty sure I would have liked Seoul on Fire better as it comes with Bulgogi beef, but the grilled pork belly was pretty good too. Just not as fatty as I would have liked. However, I didn't like their use of a wrapping paper between the tray and the food. That's because several grains of rice got stuck on the wrapping paper, and it was hard to pluck them off with my fork. As a result, it got kind of messy eating the mini bowl, and I almost thought I'd drop a piece of pork belly in the process! Luckily, I didn't, but I don't think that would be a problem with the bao buns since the bao bun from my mini bowl didn't stick to the wrapping paper at all. One thing I observed that I thought was kind of cool was witnessing the cashier hand deliver a tray of bao buns to an employee from Elio's Wood Fire Pizza, directly across from I Luv Ur Buns. I wouldn't say I love I Luv Ur Buns, but it made for a nice quick snack albeit a little pricey for a small bowl. I'm glad I gave them a try before they closed for good, and I made sure to bid them a proper adieu by returning the tray to them. They also had a small tray of I Luv Ur Buns stickers by their order window, so I made sure to pick up a couple as souvenirs. Thank you I Luv Ur Buns for serving the LBC for the past couple years, and sorry to see you go! Best wishes to Sonya, Mandy, and the rest of the team on their future endeavors.

But I had heard so many great things about HiroNori that I wanted to try it anyways. My brother especially kept hyping them up, and he LOVES ramen. And I'm glad I decided to try them out! While HiroNori is a SoCal chain, it still feels like a mom and pop restaurant. The crispy rice with tuna was EXCELLENT! Everything you want from crispy rice and spicy tuna. The tonkatsu was delicious! Great depth of flavor. They bring you garlic and spicy paste on the side. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. And the pork in the tonkatsu - truly next level. This is probably the best pork I've ever had in a ramen dish. The noodles were also fantastic with the perfect amount of bite. I loved my jammy egg as well. The restaurant itself is smaller, with fun lighting. There is a parking lot which is great. They do not have tipping, instead they have a service charge of a little over 17%. Definitely worth it!

Love, love, love this ramen spot! The broth here is so flavorful and not salty. My usual is the…read moreshoyu ramen because I love how fresh it tastes. I'm a sukiyaki broth lover, so it's somewhat similar to that taste profile. I like how they also provide garlic and house spicy sauce as it just makes the ramen even better and seals the deal. The crispy rice with spicy tuna is perfection-- you get the bottom bed of crisp with fresh avocados, spicy tuna, and a kick of jalapeño. They also provide watermelon infused water, which was perfect for a warm day out. Although this restaurant is quite small, service was fast and very accommodating. I have been here several times and service plus quality of the food never changes! Seats here don't have any back support but it adds to the modern aesthetic and vibe of the restaurant. I've been eyeing the cucumber crab salad, so I look forward to coming back and trying it next time.

One of the few remaining malls that's still hopping!…read more A large selection of shops of all types. The main areas are kept pretty clean because they have an ample staff of folk, and their food court has a good selection. The value is in the selection of shops, and there's almost no dead/open spots, every shop is filled - all offering deals this time of year.

First thing's first, I'm glad this mall is SINGLE STORY. I don't have to worry about my fear of…read moreheights and it doesn't feel stuffy because it has HIGH ceilings. However... with a single story comes a TON of walking. Be prepared for that! There's a lot of your standard mall stuff here, so it's not worth mentioning about the department stores, but the mall portion is a fine experience. There are lots of clothing stores and dessert places, and there's a movie theater and some nice restaurants, but I will say there's NOT much to do as a fun activity for families with small kids. Older kids will have some things to do like VR or build-a-bear, but smaller kids will not. Food court is fine, there's some good options and I actually like that it's next to the entrance/exit of the mall so you don't have to be "stuck" in a second story hidden area forcing you to walk by stores while getting out of the mall. Standard mall food court options like Sbarro, it's really just a place to hang out. Again, nothing special, but super clean and open space brings this to an average 3/5 for me.

I remember…read moreway back when, the spot used to house a hotel/motel where I didn't even know if it was even functioning. Now it's a cute little retail and restaurant center. You have Whole Foods on the corner and right inside the strip mall which is an open air somewhat small mall. There's parking structures on either end but when we stopped by the gate wasn't working so we ended up parking across the street. There's plenty of parking everywhere so you'll find something. It's not a big area but does offer some cute shops. You'll have some of the retail chain stores with Atletha, Warby Parker, Urban Outfitters, Brixton, Nike, Anthropologie to name a few. Some cute fun jewelry stores, stationary stores and so on. There's even a cute little brewery right in the middle of the strip. It's a cute place for family to bring the kids and pets. People are out enjoying the outdoor. As Easter is coming, there's going to be an Easter bunny on site. It's somewhat a very little outdoor mall. A few dining options surrounding the area. You could walk around the whole place in half an hour or so.
