5 stars for ambiance. Great environment, felt like I was in a club in Vegas. However, and this is a major however. The food is NOT good. The A5 wagyu steak, while fatty, lacked flavor, and was chewy. I was very disappointed because the environment and branding as a whole has you waiting in anticipation of an unprecedented level of food quality. On that front, STK falls flat on its face and causes the entire experience to feel like a scam and that all unwitting patrons are being taken advantage of. This feeling is further supported by their other dishes. The crab cakes were bland and literally just shredded crab formed into a cake, nothing more. We celebrated my brother in law's birthday here with a very big group (there was 18 of us). Mary was our server and was very organized taking our orders and attentive to our needs! She made sure to check on us often and make sure that we had a good time. Typically, with big groups-- you get servers who seem frazzled and mix things up; but that was certainly not our experience especially considering how busy they were. They play loud music that gets you pumped up and ready for the rest of your evening out! The STK in Bellevue is 100x more fun than the one in Vegas- and that says a lot. I made a reservation a week before we went to celebrate my twins' 18th birthday. When we got there, our table was not ready with all utensils and plates. The server did not come for 20 min to take our drinks/food order. We ordered calamari for appetizer, 2 drinks, 4 rib-eye steak by size (1 small and 3 medium) but the server was going fast and forgot to ask how we want it done. After about 10 min she came back and said she's sorry but they ran out of the rib-eye "filet" steak. I went to speak to the manager, he was really uncaring nor unapologetic and he said "Sorry we ran out of the rib-eye steak since yesterday and the shipment has not arrived yet! I know it's not an excuse but you can order something else!" So while knowing well in advance they still took our order! The server came back to see if we want to order something else and asked if she can put in the rest of the order. We told her to wait on the rest of the food, as at this point we were looking to find another nearby steak restaurant. After a few minutes, even though we told her to wait on putting in the rest of the order, they came out with the calamari which was only a few pieces and too dry! Then a minute later they came with the 2 drinks! We said we decided to leave and she brought us the check for $54 for the calamari and the drinks!!! We didn't touch the drinks. And the calamari was not even good at all! We ended up paying for the calamari since we ate from it. This was the worst service we've ever experienced for a restaurant at this price range ($$$$)!!! The young guy night shift floor manager there was very rude and racist and so is the lady senior manager there. We came in and spent almost 3 thousand dollars just for the 4 of us. The steak came out burned overcooked. We asked the waitress politely to make a new one. That waitress dragged the young guy manager there, he looks Hispanic, came out and said they can't replace it that we have to order the new one. I told him, do we look like we can't afford a new one or something? The piece was never eaten so why should I pay for it. We argue back and forth, and he dragged out the Caucasian female manager, dressed in sweatpants and a shirt coming out did nothing but escalated the situation. We paid and left the place. We made reservation beforehand for a Saturday birthday dinner and got a confirmation text. When we arrived, they couldn't find our reservation in their system, but luckily we had the text as proof and was able to get a table. However, we still had to wait about 20-25 mins before we got seated. Once seated, we waited about 15 mins without our server / water. We looked at the online menu before we came to the restaurant and was excited for happy hour since their online menu states that it is daily. When our server came over we asked to order from HH to start. She told us that it's only M-F not on the weekends. We showed her the menu that it states daily and asked her to honor it. She said she would need to ask her manager and left. Manager told her to come tell us that we might have looked at a different location menu but we were looking at the correct one in Bellevue. So she went to tell him. He came over and apologized that he can't honor the HH menu since they don't have the food potion but can do half off cocktails first round. The HH food that we wanted is on their regular menu so I'm not sure why he couldn't honor it to fix their mistakes of mis-information from their online menu. We ordered our food. Sides we got were mash potatoes, Mac and cheese with bacon, and tater tots. Mash potatoes was not good. Lacking butter and salt. I was also not a fan of the texture - it was reallyyy creamy. Mac and cheese was decent but it had exactly 4 TINY pieces of bacon and the dish was small. Not worth $21. Tater tots was the WORST dish of the night. It was mash potatoes shaped in a circular cube thing and deep fried. I ate 1 piece and couldn't eat anymore. I got the American waygu as my entree and it wasn't bad, I would get that again. It wasn't as tough as ppl make it since it's not Japanese wagyu. My friend got the lamb and honestly it was not good either. My group of friends concluded we do not like this place and will not be coming back. For the price you pay, food is below average and service is not there either. Overall, this is not the entertaining venue. As an owner of 3 restaurants, I feel this type of place is only trying to maximize profits while truly giving as little as possible back to the customer. After we told the waiter we wouldn't be ordering our main dish he dropped off our check out machine with no instructions, and zero idea what to do. If I could give a zero star I would. We waited 15 min for water service, another 10 min for a wine list and then another 30 min for our bottle of wine to appear (after trying to order 2 other bottles first that they did not have in stock as the wine list is turning over, but 10 min between each time we ordered). Horrible !! Please take your money elsewhere than this place. To start off ,We had a big party for my cousins birthday. Upon arrival I was greeted by the server. She was friendly. They apparently turned it down .. our party was !!!FREEZING!!!! we asked three times nothing seemed to work .. Moving forward.. we ordered items that never came.. but we're later charged to our group. The food was really bland lacked salt.. no seasoning ... Secondly, I asked the server for the tequila they have .. she mentioned her favorite tequila .. the server never mentioned that "margarita" would be $70 .. WHO CHARGES FOR A DRINK $70 dollars .. THIS PLACE DOES ! We called the manager on duty to explain to her that the sever never told us that the drink would be that much. The manager (Niki or Nicole) did not apologize AT ALL . She said " it's our top shelf tequila " that is how much we charge for it .. Okay , how would we have known if your server didn't explain that ?! She was very rude , rose her voice while we were speaking to her. Lastly , our bill came to our surprise the server couldn't even come help us figure out what our party ordered they left it to our responsibility. At 3:15pm although the bar was full, I had an empty champagne glass and empty water glass. Although there were 3 bartender's, it was 3:35pm and a full 20 minutes before I was asked if I wanted service. At this point I expressed my displeasure for the lack of service and asked for my bill. Took over 1.5 hours to get entrees from time we ordered. One entree was missing the $12 butter topping ordered. Then when it was brought out, it was not torched to melt like seen for others. Server cleared a cocktail drink before it was finished. Desserts were ordered to share but dessert plates were brought out when less then 1/3 was left. They seemed to have forgotten to bring out the plates but we didn't need them. Server only packed 1 of the 2 plates that was asked to be packed to go. There was still half of the food left. The sides were cold. Fundamentals are lacking. Some people like hot tea and/or coffee with dessert. It would have been torture to try and get either of those things, so we just left. It was very upscale, classy, and aesthetic with their decor and cute-looking table booths. It was kind of a lot smaller than what I expected. They have their own DJ playing music (you don't see that a lot at steakhouses lol). The food was very overpriced and the steaks themselves were okay quality. They weren't juicy enough. Finally checked this place out and overall we had a good time. This place seems to be packed with a line out the door especially on weekends. I'd recommend a reservation however even with our reservations we waited 30 minutes to be seated and it was only after reminding the hosts did they hurry to prepare a table for us. Service can be slow however if your enjoying the vibe I'm sure you won't notice. We ordered the lil brgs with wagyu beef for appetizers as well as the rack of lamb and filet for entrees along with tater tots and Parmesan fries for sides. We also opted for a bottle, drinks here are priced higher than most places in Bellevue, ordering a bottle might end up being a better choice and as a plus you won't have to wait as much between drinks. The entrees came out fairly quick and the filet was much better than the rack of lamb. The rack seemed a bit bland. The stuffed tater tots were also delicious and on the larger side. The vibe here is unmatched and definitely the highlight. They have a DJ mixing up some great throwbacks while you dine. It tends to be loud inside and you'll definitely be entertained if that is what you are looking for. They'll tell you they have a nice, carpet booth for you and then seat you at a diner style table so your (faux) fur can drape on the floor and the staff/other patrons can spill stuff on you. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the food was good and the kitchen deserves some love. I signed up for a yelp account to leave this review. Our server, Rafael, was absolutely fabulous! STK has really become one of our favorite restaurants. We live in the neighborhood with a newborn baby, so try to go to restaurants when it's not during peak hours. It was still busy, but all the staff were so nice and accommodating of our bulky baby stroller (plus our request to be seated in distant table), again, especially our server Rafael. I'm a little confused by all the Yelp reviews and pictures with the pricing on the receipt I was not given any of the food prices or drink prices on mine. I was just given the total. It was $95 and I got 1 virgin drink and 1 Shirley temple soda and 1 lobster Mac and cheese and 1 Caesar salad and fries. I added it up in my calculator and it says it was $69 (not including the drinks) I'm not too sure how much those were but I'm guessing they weren't $25. I just kinda feel weird about this place now. Reading all the reviews I had a similar experience with not being seated for 10 minutes and having to wait at the door(while there were around 15+ tables open) , got my drink 15 minutes after i ordered and then waited another 20 for my food. I just think it's really unprofessional and they need to improve on their wait time also the tables are too close together to other people. First let me say if this was the same price as the Cheesecake Factory I wouldn't be leaving a bad review but when a group of 3 spends $400 on dinner and it's this mediocre it's sad. The Caesar salad was the worst I think I've ever had. I actually sent it back. The steak was ok. The ambiance was terrible. The main dining room is very drafty as the front door is right there. It feels like a bar. The only nice seating is the booths for 6-8 people and the servers were clueless.
