Had a lovely happy hour date at STK! They have SO many happy hours, including 2:30-6:30 weekdays, with a great selection of $9 cocktails and shareable small plates at $3, $6, and $9. Our server, Michael, was very friendly, and attentive without being overbearing at all. I got the STK Mule and the Howl at the Moon (an espresso martini with tequila in lieu of vodka) to drink; both were well executed and enough to get a good buzz going. To eat, my partner and I shared the tater tots ($3), pastrami and salmon cones ($6), popcorn chicken, crispy calamari, and STK frites (last three all $9). If you take anything from this note, let it be that the tater tots are MANDATORY. You get four large tots, with a crispy exterior and lovely creamy texture on the inside. Not sure what took us so long to try STK. We sat in the bar area and we were served by Aaryn. She was amazing. So many options for the happy hour menu. Now the food. Everything was soooo good. My partner and I came here about a week ago (got too busy for this review). The service was okay. We could tell our server wanted to be more attentive to the two bigger parties across from us but that's fine. We understand that most work off tips. However.... Our FULL order was taken at once- not usually how it's done. Nonetheless, we were assured our food would come out separately and spaced out. Guess what? It all came out at the same time, and was cold. In the LA area there are a million places you can go for a good steak. My man just wanted a nice piece of meat. It was cold, yet the outside was burnt- as if someone left our meal sitting before they brought it to us. When I asked kindly and softly that the steak be warmed up, they brought it back on a hot plate. So now any reaction I have is valid because over a $100 piece of meat? Play with your momma not me. This isn't on the servers fault, it's on whoever was back there and on management for probably telling them to treat those situations that way. Kindly, the server took it off the bill. We had a $300 meal for two, and went to go eat in n out afterwards. So unsatisfied and saddened but STK. Usually they're great. read more

Headed here after completing an appointment that I had in the area. We were seated shortly after checking in since we had a reservation. They have valet parking available and they also have several parking structures available. They don't validate so just a thought when choosing a parking option. I had never been to this location. It is really nice and spacious...I'd say what you'd expect for STK. We started with calamari and bread. Both were good. We also got the rib eye and the potatoes gratin. The potatoes were so rich, creamy and decadent. The steak was a bit overcooked but had a nice char and flavor. The server seemed off somehow so i tried to make silly small talk just to try to engage them. Nothing. Drinks came. They were delicious. I had the spicy watermelon martini and my guest had some sunrise drinking the spring menu. Apps came. We were missing one. The server didn't put it in. But the gentlemen who brought out the food apologized and immediately made it happen. Got 2 orders of the meatballs and one of the tartar tacos. They were delicious From the time we sat down to the time I paid we were there for 90 min. The server came back twice to ask each of us if we wanted another drink. We said no and he quickly left. He never even came back around for at least the last 30 min. Never asked us if we wanted to order food (which we did) and finally we stoped another server to see how we could get our bill since our server had been absent for so long. Again, this gentleman quickly wanted to resolve this. This place is a vibe. It has great potential. Everyone we encountered with the exception of our server was great, but they ruined the experience for us. Not a good representation of the establishment. Would have loved to actually eat dinner. My wife and I heard about Steak Night at STK and decided it was time for a dinner date on a budget. We made a reservation and checked out the prix fixe menu, which is honestly a solid deal. For $69 per person, you get: * A 375 ml bottle of wine (Cabernet, Prosecco, or Rosé) * Your choice of 2 appetizers * 2 main courses * 2 sides * 1 dessert to share We ordered the Caesar salad and beef sliders for appetizers. Both were great. For the main course, we both chose the filet -- mainly because they were out of the NY strip (that's why I knocked off a star). Sides were mac and cheese and asparagus, and we finished with the apple pie for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. One small note: they provided steak sauce instead of the traditional steakhouse steak add-ons, which felt a bit different -- but I'm picky when it comes to steakhouse etiquette. STK is now my new favorite steak place! Forget Flemings, Mastro's, Ocean Prime etc. we ordered the Spinalis, bone-in filet (all medium rare), creamed spinach, potato gratin, and brussel sprouts. The spinalis came more done than what we wanted but we were willing to accept it. It was delicious. The Bone-in filet DEFINITELY was well done through and through. Vanessa, the manager, came over to our table right away, I guess from the disappointed looks on our faces... She offered us a new steak AND two more sides which were mashed potatoes and creamed corn. Not only was that gesture extremely generous in itself but the steak! MY GAWD. If I could marry a steak, I WOULD. That bone-in filet was THE BEST steak I've ever had and I've had MANY!!!! It did not turn out the way we hoped for. when the food finally arrived 4 of the 9 orders were all wrong, all the streaks were not cooked the way it was ordered. The manager came out to try and rectify the problems, which didn't help out all, because the second rounds of steak were still wrong. 1st of all this restaurant is beautiful inside. The ambience is really amazing and cozy. I ordered the dry age bone in New York strip my wife had the 10 ounce filet mignon. Both were excellent and perfectly cooked that dry age strip steak had this crust on it that was just so amazing. The mac & cheese is to die for and so creamy cheesy perfectly cooked. My wife really enjoyed her filet mignon and the cream spinach. The cocktails were very good as well. The service was very good. Food - We decided to try their STK steak night menu. Set menu for $70 a person. We ordered the lil brgs (simple delicious & juicy) and the jalapeño pickled shrimp cocktails (four plain shrimp, no flavor) for our appetizers. Went with the 6 oz filet and 14oz NY Strip both medium rare. Steaks were just fine, felt slightly overcooked and unseasoned. Absolutely nothing special. We got the tater tots and mac & cheese as sides. These were great. So cheesy and drool worthy. Favorite part of our meal. The apple pie was ok, each took one bite as it felt store bought. Service - Waiter was friendly and made note to apologize for the poor food & drink service. However, I had to ask for someone to remove dirty plates twice. Another female waitress came in to assist, she was also very sweet. Food & drinks simply just took forever. Idk if they were just busy (place was pretty empty tho) but to be honest, it just felt like we're were an afterthought. Like our table was forgotten. Was very disappointed as we were celebrating a birthday. Hope this review helps someone avoid our experience. For a hundred bucks more go down the road to Steak 48 in Beverly Hills. We had the best night celebrating my daughter's 22nd birthday at STK Westwood! I was in charge of finding somewhere fun and memorable, and STK Westwood absolutely delivered. I was taken here for Mother's Day brunch. We had calamari and deviled eggs for appetizers and two steak brunch items. While I like the vibes and food was good the service wasn't the best. Our server didn't check on us after taking our order. We had to ask a manager for help to add an item to our meal. We didn't get bread or steak knifes. A nice manager see me cutting my steak with a butter knife and helped me out. It was busy due to the holiday, but the restaurant wasn't packed. When we came in the hostess asked if we had reservations, we told her no. I thought it was strange she would even ask us considering the the restaurant was 70% empty. Inconsistent service-- the hostess was so so kind and offered recommendations on the menu. However when our actual server arrived he seemed irritated to even explain the menu much less take our order. This feeling was apparent when he suddenly disappeared from our table and an unhappy hostess took his place. He was still working as we could see since he was serving every other table around us. 2. Horrible management-- why is ur restaurant empty, there is a gaggle of hosts and servers gathered around the cash register, and then I see the manager running to bring drinks to a table? Also, what's up with the manager? He approached my table at 11 pm to chastise us that the bar is closing..... and that we could no longer order happy hour drinks? Thought happy hour was 10- close lmao. Besides ur bartenders are standing around twiddling their thumbs anyways.. Funnily enough the unhappy hostess comes back at 11:26 pm to lmk that happy hour drinks ends at 1130. That's cool cuz I already lost my appetite. 3. Food was decent-- I enjoyed my beef tartar, waygu meatballs was decent but nothing to write home about. Was it rly wayguu? Only God knows. Can't say anything about oysters and calamari, they took way too long to bring that out (u would think those 2 items come out first). We had to cancel the items. Also, they still included the calamari on the receipt after it was cancelled. Lollllllllll Horrible experience, I was so irritated I was screaming about it on our walk to the car. Another vehicle slowed down to scream that they agreed with me and this was the worst exp of their life. How telling Had to update the review to state I've never been dying to leave a restaurant as much as this one. So happy I'm able to try the new location of STK today. I came in to celebrate for my friend's birthday and literally everything is phenomenal. All the bartenders are very nice and LEYNA was absolutely amazing. She make sure I was OK and attentive the whole time. I love the ambience here and of course you already know STK has the best food and ambience is always dope. I ordered the salmon with Caesar salad and it was very good!!! Our server Saint was phenomenal and very patient! We was a big party with a lot of request but he was so amicable and professional! There are also several meters that surround the area which made it easy to park with $2 for 2 hour parking. Niecy was the host.
