I came on a weekday hoping to get some fast food for dinner but it became more of a long detour. It took about an hour from arrival to receiving my food. It seemed that there needs to be improvement in time efficiency. The drive through line was being manned by 4-5 people and in the pickup area there was 3 people. I'm not sure how many people they have cooking, but it was very laid back. Honestly, I wanted to not like Stormburgers food, but dang.. this place hits. Not only are the burgers solid (tried the Jalepeno Lightning) but the fries and onion rings are fried to perfection. I probably won't be coming here after a long shift, but for sure would have this again (if I can avoid a line.)

I've been to this location twice; once when they first opened and again recently. The first time, we waited in the drive-thru line for an hour. The parking lot is fairly small, so although it looked like there were a lot of people, it really wasn't that busy. When we finally got to the pickup window, the worker handed us our food with her back turned, which was very rude. I also realized afterward that another worker was giving out coupons for free food, but we didn't receive one. During my recent visit, the line had died down, and we got our food within five minutes. I mentioned that during their grand opening week I had waited an hour and didn't receive a coupon. The worker said, "Oh, let me get you one; please drive forward." Then another worker approached us and said they didn't have any more, and rudely asked if we had everything we needed in our order. Again, no apology. Just another rude interaction. Both times, I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, and I really enjoyed it. The bun is soft, the fried onions are crispy, and you can taste the bacon in every bite. The patty is flavorful, but on the drier side, which some people may not like, but I personally do. The onion rings are also good, but $4.99 for a small serving (about seven pieces) is overpriced. The fries are good as well, lightly seasoned and crispy. Overall, the food is good, but the customer service definitely needs improvement.

So, my family lives around the corner and they have been waiting for the hype to go down so I coaxed my sis to walk up there. It was a wait, but not bad. We ate our food, but was it sensational, it was aight. Was it pricey, well it was what to he expected... Check out my photos for the visuals. Line was packed on Sunday night. Highly recommend to just park in another lot and walk up to the window and order. We waited 15 minutes for our food versus the hours we could've waited in that drive thru line. The burgers and sandwiches were all great here. I cannot understand how this place makes a profit by keeping these prices so low and quality so high. Kudos to the owners for figuring it out. All items were great here. The deluxe chicken sandwich was the only photo I got. Chicken was crispy and the sauce was delicious. Bbq Bacon cheese burger was incredible too. Very flavorful and had a lot of different textures to make it exciting. Love storm burger and really really advise you to just park instead of going through the drive thru.

I had the most amazing experience at StormBurger. This is my kind of burger joint, 10/10 all around. Don't be intimidated by the long lines, they moved us through quickly. The double cheeseburger was full of flavor, perfectly greasy and cheesy without being sloppy, just an all around great classic cheeseburger. The fries were fresh and crispy, and the chicken tenders were crispy and really good as well. The strawberry lemonade was sweet and seriously so nice and refreshing. Ooh, and I was ecstatic to be given a sample of their chocolate shake. She saw my excitement as I chugged it down and was kind enough to give me a second one. 10/10 customer service. Cool music and vibes even for a drive thru. I need more StormBurger in my life!!

Finally got a taste of this smash burger :) Line wasn't too hectic on a Sunday afternoon. Menu was handed to once you pull in the drive through lane. I went with the double classic combo. Didn't have to wait to long to get the food. Everything I ordered was in there. Took a bite of the burger and it was good. Fries a bit salty to my liking. Peach tea was fine, not too sweet. All in all the burger is delicious. I believe going with the combo is a little pricey. Stick to the burger and you'll be good.

Maybe it was just so hyped up, maybe it was because we got it delivered and the burgers were ice cold. Either way, it was not what we had hoped for. We ordered the spicy chicken deluxe, jalapeño burger, two, single patty classics, onion rings and fries. Onion rings were the stand out item, the only thing that was warm, surprisingly. They had great crunch and flavor, super yummy. Spicy chicken deluxe had a nice crunch but the slaw was too sweet it overpowered everything; I did not enjoy. The classic smashburgers were very cold but I could forgive that since, as I mentioned, it was delivered. Regardless, the patty wasn't juicy or flavorful and neither was the cheese. At least the lettuce, tomatoes and onions were very fresh! Jalapeño burger was ok. I'm not a fan of Swiss cheese. I would give them a second chance maybe, but I'd go in to check out the place in person and I think I'd only try the classic burger again, hopefully it's better fresh. From the outside, the building looks cute and clean and the parking lot is usually pretty busy.

I tried this establishment for the first time on 4/4/26 in the evening. The drive thru line was unimaginable, thank goodness for the online ordering option. There are approximately 5 companies you can choose from to place your online order with no fee. The wait time ordering online was about 15 minutes vs 30 + minutes in the drive thru.. Per armed security we had to find a parking spot on the street, which we did and walked over to the pickup window. I ordered a turkey burger $9.99, and a double classic storm burger combo with a strawberry lemonade. $15.49. There is an up charge for the strawberry lemonade of $2. I wasn't expecting 2 juicy turkey patties on my sandwich. The bread was fresh and delicious! The burger was delicious and juicy also. I ordered the fries "no salt"and unfortunately they were salted. *I took off a star due to the salt on the fries* The lemonade was very sweet but adding water fixed that and it was perfect. Overall the food was good. Everyone seemed to be on their best behavior waiting patiently. Music was being played on speakers and lots of people watching. They probably should have opted for a bigger location with parking and the ability to handle 2 drive through lanes with ease. I forgot to get a picture of the double classic storm burger and fries.

My kids highly recommended I try StormBurger because I love a great Smashburger. This joint replaced an old churches chicken. It's right on the corner of south and Cherry and the heart of North Long Beach. I really enjoyed the look and feel of the logo and colors that they use. They have walk up windows to order if you don't want to hit the drive-through, but parking is limited. They opened at 11:30am and I got there 15 minutes after to find the parking and drive-through packed. When I arrived a fire truck parked right in front and loaded their whole crew to order lunch. Despite the craziness, they had a very cool security officer who was directing the traffic and he was doing an amazing job. There are two lanes for the drive-through and I commend the managers for having the workers outside with tablets taking orders to keep the drive-through flowing smoothly. The line took about 20 minutes, but I also know that there was a difficult customer ahead of me that was unsure of their order. Other than that, they were as organized as can be. As soon as I hit the window, my order was ready. We ordered two combos of their western bacon barbecue burgers with a side of fries and onion rings and their strawberry lemonade. I ordered a classic cheeseburger. The kids had me asked for thunder sauce, and when I asked the worker what it was, she described it as an apricot habanero and let me tell you, it's fire! So good! I really enjoyed the classic cheeseburger. It was exactly that, a classic cheeseburger with all the flavors. The strawberry lemonade is so fresh and taste homemade, the strawberries in the lemonade were perfect. Their fries and onion rings are pretty classic and traditional. Unfortunately, one of us wasn't able to finish their burger because we found a big black piece of garment thread in it, but when I message the restaurant via IG and let them know about it, they seem sincere and apologized. I just wanted them to know so that they were aware. Things happen! I'll have to go back and order something different next time. I see they have chicken sandwiches I want to try.

Even with a long line, things moved at a steady pace and we had our food in about 30 minutes honestly better than I expected for the crowd! * The Service: Huge shoutout to the young lady taking orders. It was raining and hectic, but she was incredibly sweet and kept a smile on her face. Things got a little chaotic near the pickup window (the guys in front seemed a bit disorganized at first), but they eventually found their rhythm. * The Eats: Deluxe Chicken Sandwich: Really solid! The standout for me was the kale slaw it added a great crunch and flavor. * The Storm Burger: Hubby really enjoyed this one. * Fries: 10/10. They arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. * The Drinks: The Strawberry Lemonade was the star of the show super refreshing. Minor Note: The honey mustard had great flavor, but it was a bit on the runny side. Verdict: It might not be a "life-changing" culinary experience, but it's a very "cool" spot with reliable food. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and craving a burger

Been seeing this burger joint on social media. Friends shared it in their IG stories when they made a visit. Was curious what the hype is all about, therefore drove up to the north side of Long Beach. Been craving for a good smash burger and this spot was it. I arrived about 5 minutes before opening time which was 1030am. There wasn't much of a parking lot, but found a small one next door. A line was forming so quickly as it opened. I'm just glad I got there early. I was the second person in line ordering at the window. The bacon BBQ burger was a little dry, but needed their famous sauce to enhance it better. Came out hot and fresh so best to eat right away. Prices were decent not overpriced for a whole combo. In my case, I just ordered the burger by itself which costed $7.99. Highly advised to go when it opens. I've heard my friends waited in the drive thru for 45 mins. It's popular right now since they are fairly a new location. Glad it wasn't a disappointment so I will be a returning customer.

Storm burger is amazing, we were eating there almost weekly when they were still serving from the food truck. Once the brick and mortar building came up, due to its delicious reputation, there were long waits but they well worth it. I say this because I read some negative reviews about the wait times, but it was in the first month of its grand opening after buidling a solid reputation for quality. We came for Mother's Day and they gave my wife a rose, which was a nice surprise to our order. Don't let the line discourage you, if you have ever waited at In-N-Out or Chick-Fila, its not bad, plus everyone has a phone now to help pass the time. We hope Storm Burger stays and expands! read more

Pros: Local always tastes better! The burgers are fresher, more substantial, and have a beefier taste than In n Out. Very similar in quality to a pub burger, but not as pricey! The chicken sandwiches are great too. Fries are done very well. My mom is a picky woman, and she's rarely happy with what she eats. However, she's asked me to return to this place twice. Cons: Each time I've been here, I've gotten shafted with waiting in the outer line of the drive thru. It moves slower, but the security guard will usher you into that line if there's availability (makes sense). The employees are great, and they'll take note of which cars arrive first so they can take your order in a logical manner. But I've consistently received my food two cars late (as in, the cars that arrived and ordered after me in the faster inner line gets their food before mine). It's not a big deal realistically, but StormBurger is popular (justifiably so) and it already takes a while to get your food, so this might be a level of annoyance you'll have to prepare for mentally. Idk what the solution is, but would love if these logistics got worked out! On the customers' end: Maybe order your food on foot? Avoid the outer line if possible? Employees and food are a hit so I will be back regularly! Just maybe not by drive thru haha read more

One of the greatest burger places I've been in all my life. I referred several people here more than 10. I've got to know the managers and owners very well at both Locations.Shout out to Mike Storm and Myron. This is a well ran establishment and the food is delicious. I give it a 10 out of 10 highly recommended. From the Double classic to the barbecue burger as well as the chicken sandwich all are delicious. Went a hour or so before they closed and idk what's up with the night shift but it's too many kids working with no adults it seems a lot of playing around and joking instead of working, food is good but I had to wait 50 minutes in the drive thru to get my food which is beyond ridiculous maybe get a adult supervisor to make sure they actually work and not play around. read more

I almost never leave reviews, but this place seriously impressed me!! For a casual burger spot, the quality is kind of wild. The lemonades are so good and actually taste real because they use fresh fruit, which you can tell right away! The onion rings were one of the biggest standouts for me. They're hand dipped in batter and fried fresh, and they taste like it. Nothing felt overly processed or stale. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The spicy chicken sandwich was honestly incredible. It reminded me of the Ding's chicken sandwich from Hillstone, which is not a comparison I make lightly. The fries were super crispy and just really solid too. I was genuinely shocked that a fast food place could taste this high quality. I crave it way more often than I want to admit. read more

I was excited to see they were opening a location near me. The fries are done in an old school way. The chicken tenders could've been cooked for longer but they were breaded nicely. The lemonade was so sour, you have to add your own sugar. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. read more

Lots of hype behind this understandably! The lines are crazy long. The drive-thru has two long long lines. It took us 46 minutes from entering the drive-thru to getting our food. I timed it. The prices seemed fair. But we wanted to rate the food that we became here purely off of hype and to see what it's all about. We were fine paying a couple extra dollars. My family and I agree that the fries are pretty good. I imagine they would've been very very good fresh. So I'm looking forward to trying this place once all the hype dies down. According to my kids, the burgers were a little better than In-N-Out. So they get the nod there because we love In-N-Out. I would encourage them to come up with a different system because it seemed like they're trying to make more room so more cars can get in line but at the expense of people having to wait several extra minutes longer for their food. I imagine if the system was better, the lines would flow much quicker. Quickly comparing it to In-N-Out, the line are pretty much just as long if not a little longer since there are two lines, but the establishment is much smaller than a typical In-N-Out so I imagine the kitchen is tiny which is reflected in the 46 minute wait time. I think the food is good, but if you wanna try it out, I encourage you to do so, but only if you have near an hour. read more

Our order; BBQ burger combo - Upgraded to Large drink Chicken Deluxe Sandwhich combo - Strawberry Lemonade Kids combo - Strawberry Lemonade Total: $50 For what you pay for and what you get it was completely not worth it. In what sense? The wait time was 30min in the hot sun for our food, they are not ready for the huge amount of demand as the staff themselves started cursing at each other and talking heavy. Some even just saying how the ladies are just I quote "Norms waitresses" well all the cooks were just in the back doing nothing while the line got bigger and orders were stacking. They started kicking people out of the parking to be able to capacitate the line. It was pretty wild. And like I said for $50 the burgers were small, fries were pretty good but not the best and their slogan is "Real food, Real Fast, Real good." Yea it was not fast at all and not really that good. To be honest guys it's just another social media hyped up place that is mid at best and taxed. If you want a burger and for less time less price just go to in n out. It's honestly way better and just not worth the hassle. And in my photo I took 3 bites in my burger. read more

Every single item on this menu is delicious and affordable! We had the turkey burger, beef, burger, and chicken sandwich. They were sized perfectly, and we loved every single burger. The buns are also made fresh from a local bakery, and they have fresh made lemonade. We are official regulars here! The service was also amazing. I only wish they had seating, but that's okay, we just drive up the road to a local park and eat there. read more

Solid burgers! The onion rings were good too. The house drinks weren't all that great. The line went quick and decent service. It's a cool lil burger joint that we wanted to try and find out what all the hoopla was about and to support local small businesses. If you haven't tried them and want a decent burger, it might be worth the drive. I might drop by again if I'm in the area. read more

On to the food, this trip I ordered the dinner plate it consisted of 3 pieces of the fish of my choice and 10 large shrimp along with fries a second side and a roll. It took about 12 mins to receive the food and the provide you with a pager. I wanted a smaller plate but they only have the option of 3 pieces or a 5 piece meal nothing for smaller appetites. This is a togo spot there is no inside dinning so all orders should come with your condiment breakdowns or you should be asked your desire. I was already on the freeway in traffic before I noticed the 2 most important condiments were not in my bag!!! The ketchup nor any hot sauce.! This almost got them a one star review for it. Im not even a big spicy girl and I was appalled it wasn't included. So I had to eat dry a$$ fries and try a bit of tartar sauce (which isn't my favorite thing in the first place) but who serves fries without at least offering ketchup? I asked for my shrimp to be lightly fried ( so they wouldn't taste like rubber) and he cooked them almost perfectly crisp. The fish was cooked lightly crisp as well This is why I didn't give a one star. The batter was light and flaky with much flavor generally not being a spicy girl I appreciate when the batter isn't what I deem spicy, but even I would have added a tinge of pepper flavoring to give a pop of extra flavor. The container is probably a highlight here they keep the food in cardboard. Now if you don't know plastic (all plastic is terrible for your body (the particles that come off of it and warming your food in them are definitely cancer callers) so this helps for safety and how your food sweats inside the container cardboard with holes always food to stay in its intended form fries in generally breathe better and don't get soggy like and less the crispness. So thanks for that. But please please clean the windows and the freezers they just look dingy. Who I go back? Only in an emergency. And that consists of the other place I like being closed as this place is open until 8. So anytime I need some fried fish after 640 this is that spot!

this is my first time at storm burger & i just experienced the worst customer service ever. i stood outside the window for about 15-20 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. two hispanic women in polo-style shirts came to the window numerous times, looked directly through me, and never once asked if i had been helped or needed anything. it felt like i was completely ignored (WHICH I WAS). after waiting, the shorter hispanic lady finally asked me what my name was. i told her that i had been waiting there for a long time, and she responded, "i saw you standing for 10 minutes, that's why i'm coming to the window now." i then asked to speak to a manager. she said, "ok, wait, let me get you one," and as she was walking away, i noticed her shirt was different from everyone else's, so i asked if she was a manager. she verbally said "NO", but then me stating that i see her shirts are different from the rest she hesitated to tell me yes, i asked why would she deny being a manager & she said "i think you wouldn't want to speak with me." i asked for her name, and she said gissell. eventually she said she would get the other manager named star. another 5 minutes passed & neither one of the managers came back to speak with me, but later i seen star walking from around the back and went right past me to handle a situation in the drive-thru with another employee, without acknowledging me once again. i was close enough to hear the name of the other employee in drive thru named edward, she went to go have a conversation with while i was still not being helped. on top of it all, i observed star later coming back in and walking past me AGAIN. she stood at the grey machines in the middle, looking at the wall, scratching her butt, and never once washed her hands, which raised concerns about cleanliness and food safety. overall, the lack of acknowledgment, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior made this a very disappointing first experience. i do have a recording that i will be posting if it allows me. those two "managers (star & gissell) need to have training about better customer service skills. as a customer i would understand if the establishment was busy (IT WAS NOT) & they told me to wait a while but me standing outside for approximately 30mins with not even a "hi/ hello is honestly so crazy to me. read more

NOPE, NOPE and NOPE! Sticking with IN n OUT I sent this email 3 days ago when we got home from the drive through - with pics attached. It said on their recording (and how sad that I can't get a live person on the phone), ...I would get a response in 24 hours. It's now 3 days later and NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT! We went through It was our first time trying Storm. So unhappy and disappointed and dissatisfied!! We had two orders. 1 classic burger combo with onions rings and a choc/vanilla shake 1 Bacon Bbq combo with onions rings and Coke Zero Got home and the first problem was the burgers were labeled wrong. Gave my husband his order the Bacon Bbq combo. Looked ok. I opened mine and even though it said classic combo burger - I opened the burger to find nothing but the crispy (soggy) onions and 2 pieces of bacon and a small squirt of bbq. That's it!! No burger! No meat! No cheese lettuce or tomato!! a bun with soggy onions 2 small piece of bacon. My shake was to be a "mix". It was only chocolate and runny The girl who took the order was great and got it right (see phot of receipt order. But it ended there was "no meat" We paid $35.34 for this!!! I recently visited Storm Burger, a newly opened burger stand in North Long Beach, and overall had a positive experience. I went through the drive-thru, and while the staff seemed fairly young and my order was not completely accurate, the service was impressively fast. It's clear they're still getting into the rhythm of things, which is understandable for a new spot. On the food side, Storm Burger definitely delivered. I ordered the double cheeseburger with their storm sauce, and it was excellent--flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying. The fries were crispy and cooked just right, which is always a plus. I also tried their lemonade, which was refreshing and paired well with the meal. One small detail I really appreciated was the drink packaging--the cups reminded me of boba-style cups, which gave a fun and unique touch to the experience. Overall, despite a minor mix-up with the order, the quality of the food and the speed of service made a strong impression. With a little more consistency, this place has great potential. Recently, I placed an order at Storm Burger and was extremely disappointed. I ordered 6 burgers: 3 regular and 3 Double Burgers. When I got home and checked the order, I realized that out of the three Double Burgers, there was only one -- the other two were replaced with regular burgers. There was no warning or explanation. This means I paid for more expensive items but received cheaper ones instead. At best, this is negligence; at worst, it feels like misleading the customer. My family, especially the kids, were very upset because they were expecting exactly what we ordered. This kind of mistake is unacceptable. I expect the restaurant to contact me and resolve this issue -- either by refunding the difference or offering proper compensation. Otherwise, I will be forced to leave an appropriate rating and warn other customers about this experience. Very disappointed with the service. read more

I recently stopped by to see what all the hype about Storm Burgers was about, and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. I ordered the turkey burger with egg and bacon, and it was absolutely delicious--full of flavor and perfectly prepared. I also had the chance to try all three of your lemonades--original, strawberry, and peach--and each one was excellent in its own way. They were refreshing and a great complement to the meal. Went in during a busy time, which I understand, but waited about 20 minutes for a single burger while watching multiple customers who ordered after me get their food first. It became pretty obvious my order was skipped or lost. When I brought it up, there wasn't much urgency or clear effort to fix it, which made the situation more frustrating. Mistakes happen, but ignoring it and not communicating is what really made this a bad experience. Hopefully this gets addressed because the system clearly broke down here. It was my first time trying this place too, and the cashier mentioned it was better than Marathon Burger, but in my experience Marathon Burger didnt take 20 minutes for a single burger. read more

This place just opened in Long Beach (South & Cherry) and it is an absolute must-try. The burgers are incredibly flavorful with perfectly crispy edges, fresh buns, and quality tomato and lettuce. And the fries? Fresh and amazing -- easily one of my favorite parts of the meal. Now, fair warning: the parking lot is a nightmare. You pull in, and you will get blocked. Two ordering lanes merge into one pickup lane, and it turns into a total gridlock situation. Do yourself a favor -- park down the block and walk up to order through the window.
