This was definitely a treat while on vacation. It's what I call a dining experience. We were seated in a very nice spot in the restaurant. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with really greay vibes. Our aerver was excellent, Joseph. He was patient, funny and personable. Great customer service for sure. The food was excellent. I had the salmon which was prepared perfectly and the taste was amazing. I also had the Brussel Sprouts which were amazingly delicious . It has slivers of apple and aome kinda sauce. I could eaten that for my dinner. My husband also had the salmon with baked potato, he said it was still a bit to hard for him, but the presentation was great! They gave you complementary fries with a sauce at the bottom of the container which was yummy. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The restroom needed some attention. I would say some time had went by before anyone loomed at it. The trash was overflowing and the tissue needed to be changed. read more

My wife and I stayed at the Mandalay Bay Resort for a quick over night business trip. I wanted a good steak, so we went straight to Strip Steak. The wait was about ten minutes. We were sat at a great table. The water came out immediately, followed by the menus and a drink order. My wife had an iced tea and I got a margarita. We ordered the Tomahawk steak for two (medium+), a half lobster, the mac and cheese and the creamed corn. A server brought out a trio of French fries and dipping sauces, for an appetizer, "Compliments of the Chef." We noticed that all the tables had this appetizer. These seasoned French fries were the very best I have ever had The tomahawk came out cooked as ordered and the sides were great. The tomahawk was seasoned well and tasted great. The margarita was great. I also ordered a rum and coke, which was delicious. The restaurant was well lit and the temperature was perfect. The ambience was very nice. The seats were very comfortable and wide. All of the servers were on point. The drinks were filled at all times. Celebrated my birthday dinner at StripSteak and had a wonderful experience! The staff were super welcoming and the chef was totally on their A+ game as we were blessed with perfectly cooked meals (ribeye, seabass, mac and cheese, spinach, and roasted mushrooms) - #chefskiss - and to top it off the chef gave us complimentary duck fat fries which were AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC!! But wait...there's more....I was also surprised at the end of our meal with a birthday dessert treat of a mini vanilla ice cream in a cone with a candle. It was super good and very thoughtful. Located in the Mandalay Bay Casino. We arrived around 8 pm, the weekend of the F1 race. We had no reservation but thankfully we were able to get seated immediately. Instead of a bread basket, this establishment starts with a trio of French fries, each cup has a slightly differ seasoning each cup of fries has a different dipping sauce. The fries were outstanding, crispy outside pillowy soft interior. My wife, and brother in law ordered the strip steak and I did the 16 oz duck fat prime rib. My wife ordered her steak medium, my brother-in-law had is medium rare. Both stealers were cooked perfectly. My prime rib was super rich but the crust on the meat helped with the richness. The meat was a perfect medium rare. We did the sautéed mushrooms and broccolini as our sides. We ended the meal with the 40 year Taylor Fladgate port. The port was the perfect ending to the meal. Then our server sent over a taste of the 20 year Taylor to compare. The three of us really enjoyed our meal. The food and service were top notch. read more

I am sure StripSteak is great, but I would not order the $150 Tasting Menu (fortunately Free with Casino Comps). I had the tasting menu 1st week of December and I don't remember anything memorable about it. Only thing I remember is I don't want FRIES as an Appetizer or Rice Pudding for Dessert. I guess I should have looked at the menu more closely before ordering cause I would have been better off ordering a Steak and Sides. Fries and Rice Pudding should not be part of a $150 Tasting Menu. Food was just ok and very expensive. Should have known better but was drawn in by the Foie Gras appetizer. They give you French fries when you sit down instead of bread. It made me feel like I'm eating at McDonald's. Had dinner on a Tuesday night with the family and overall it was unfortunately a bit of a mixed bag. The restaurant is recently beautifully remodeled and the ambiance is very welcoming. Front desk service was very good. Although our server seemed knowledgeable and friendly the service overall was rather slow and not especially attentive (even though the restaurant appeared to be less than half full). It took awhile to get our drink order placed and then too long to receive them. This was followed by a rather lengthy amount of time to order and receive entrees. After the dinner plates were cleared there was then an exceptionally long time to be offered dessert. I ordered the scallops which were cooked perfectly - tender on the inside with a nice delicate crust. The sauce on the plate was rather flavorless and the "lobster emulsion" on the small side veggies was frankly kind of weirdly textured and again kind of flavorless. Wife and son got the petite filet which, while a quality cut, was VERY small (even by "petite" standards.) Sides were mashed potatoes (creamy and delicious), brussels sprouts (tasty but rather sweet) and broccolini (not a lot of flavor). Overall the food just did not match up with the prices. I've had much better steakhouse meals on the strip for similar prices (Cut, STK) or even at lesser prices (Strip House, Bavette's). One exceptional item was the beignets for dessert which were so delicate and delicious. The accompanying sauces were also fabulous. I'd almost come back just for these. Also they brought back the complimentary table french fries which are always tasty. read more

I started with the wedge salad, chopped up (as the server recommends) and a glass of the house red wine. When they brought me the salad they also brought me a charcuterie board of French fries, with various dips, which the said they offer instead of bread. That prick just hit me again, but everything is delicious. I then had the chefs cut ribeye, medium rare, which was incredible. Amazingly flavorful, so much so that you can almost forget about the dumbest human in the planet hitting you with his backpack. This place is a bit pricy but it's top end food and service. We've been to strip steak several times and it's always a great experience so we continue to come back. We love the steak and the staff is great. This review is based on this specific most recent meal. I've ordered the rib eye cap in the past and the filet, which have been great. This time I ordered the Japanese wagyu, which I've had several times at other restaurants and I have to say this Japanese wagyu was not like any other Japanese wagyu I've had. I was pretty disappointed in it. The Japanese wagyu I've had in the past has generous marbling throughout making the meat juicy and soft but this wagyu seemed to have thick fat all around the top and bottom vs throughout giving it more of a fat texture than marbling and it taste more like bacon than steak. The texture reminded me more of bacon than steak as well. My husband tried it and interestingly without saying anything we both had the same thought that it taste like bacon. I was also disappointed that they did not have the Brussel sprouts that I usually order. I've been here enough times to know the other steaks are great and I will definitely come back when the Brussel sprouts are back and order another steak, but I would not order the wagyu again. My husband's filet was great! We did not enjoy the asparagus like we do the Brussel sprouts. They provided a cute dessert for my birthday. That is greatly appreciated. read more

My fiancé came here with his best friends exactly one year ago today (bachelor party) and said it was the best ribeye steak he ever had and he had to bring me here to try it. Since today was my birthday, I figured might as well treat myself and go somewhere that my very picky fiancé says is good (and I usually like what he likes). :) I made the reservation for 7:15PM, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated. Our waiter came about a minute or so later with menus for us to look at including the alcoholic beverages menu. We had already looked through the menu ahead of time and decided on what we wanted, so we glanced at it once more to be absolutely sure, and were ready to order. We waited at least 15 minutes for the waiter to come back and take our orders (menus closed so it was obvious we were ready). I ordered the filet mignon medium rare, my fiancé ordered the Cowboy ribeye also medium rare and black truffle mac and cheese to share. My fiancé asked them if they had lemonade or something that I can order since it wasn't listed on the menu anywhere, and our waiter said that they did, and I asked if they had sweet tea. He said they did not, but he could make me an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade & half iced tea), so I asked for that. When he brought it to me, I took a little sip, and it was not sweet at all, so I mixed it thinking maybe that was the problem, took another sip and still zero sweetness. I stopped our waiter next time he came by and asked him to swap it out for lemonade because it wasn't sweet at all. When the lemonade came, it was pretty darn sweet so I am pretty certain that there was no lemonade mixed in with the iced tea. They brought us complementary fries with various sauces, but did not tell us what any of the sauces were so we had to figure it out for ourselves (ketchup was one, and I have no idea what the other two were, but they weren't that great). Our food came out, and pretty much as soon as we picked up our utensils, our waiter came to ask how everything was. We just said fine even though we hadn't tried it yet. Both meats were cooked to the right temperature. The filet mignon was a bit chewy, but that is to be expected. The ribeye was pretty good, but it didn't wow me or anything. It was a little on the salty side in my opinion. The black truffle mac and cheese tasted like butter instead of cheese. I normally love mac and cheese and if I don't finish it, I take the remainder home, but I didn't even bother with this one. We ate about half of it together. The best part of the evening I think was the beignets. The person who brought them out actually explained what each dip was: butterscotch pudding, chocolate pot de creme, and vanilla crème brûlée. Beignets are supposed to be airy, but these were more cakey...but still yummy! The butterscotch pudding had a strong alcoholic flavour to it, and I was not a fan of that, but the other two were delicious. We didn't want to sit and wait too long for the check so as soon as our waiter came back to the table we had the credit card ready to go. All in all, it was just okay in my opinion, but I probably wouldn't go back a second time. read more

Honestly after looking at the prices, I was excited to have a good steak. Ended up getting the Ahi Tuna and Cowboy Ribeye. The tuna was kinda bland and the sauce for the tuna had a tangy flavor which left a bit to be desired. Ended up switching to just soy sauce which made it better. I'm used to ahi tune coming thinly sliced but this was served as one large piece. It was a nice portion but overall just tasted kinda bland. Now onto the steak, My expectations far outweighed the experience especially considering they serve A5 wagyu steak. Like I mentioned, I order the Cowboy Ribeye and to my disappointment, it was just ehh. Very bland and little flavor and definitely not worth the money. Ruth Chris steakhouse has them beat hands down for much cheaper. Even the all you can eat Brazilian steakhouses have more flavor in the steak. It was a good tender piece of meat, but overall just underwhelming. Overall would not recommend the ribeye. The A5 wagyu steak may be worth it but at a premium cost. We planned a one night of fancy dinner for our family. Our favorite meal is steak. We are red meat family through and through. It was very convenient to have StripSteak in our hotel. Myself, my man and the kids all dressed up for a fancy meat night out. Make reservations! The place is popular. Its a great place to bring kids as well. I always preface my kid friendly review with if your kids are capable of eating out in public. Don't come here if you don't understand the concept of boundaries with your kids or if they are not experienced with being in public restaurants. Our server was fantastic. We bonded over having kids who like to eat at nice restaurants too. He was a pleasure to have accommodate our family. The Duck Fat Fries they serve when you sit down are so good. My daughter just kept ordering and ordering them. My son ordered these giant King Crab Legs that barely fit on his plate. He loved it. I ordered the Rib Eye. My daughter ordered the Filet Mignon and my man ordered the NY Steak. We got sampling of everything. There were no complaints from anyone. But Im going to say my Rib Eye was the best steak out of all of them. I also ordered Grilled Foie Gras for the table. If you've never sliced a little slice of Foie Gra and ate it along with a slice of steak you are not living your life properly. The meal was excellent. Then our wonderful server talked us into the Beignet Trio. We also saw a lot of people order this too. It was as fantastic as you would imagine it would be. Butterscotch pudding is one of my all time favorite desserts. Actually if you only came here to eat this I would give you standing ovation. Its so substantially excellent. I ordered the chicken which was not good for the price of over $40. Another person in our party ordered a 16oz NY strip and ordered medium and it came out rare. They took the steak back and placed it back on the grill. (The same exact steak) This steak was tough and not edible. For a price of $68 for the steak alone and you have to pay for sides individually very disappointing. For dessert we ordered a cheesecake that was actually a custard in the inside. The mac and cheese was made with Alfredo sauce and they called it Mac and cheese. (Interesting) We had a party of nine with a bill of over $1,100 before tip. With that pricing the whole experience should have been phenomenal. The ambiance was great and the customer service was good the food was just overprice and undesirable. read more

One of the best meals I've had in my life. I've never had filet mignon this good before! Literally the meat was like butter in my mouth, so tender and juicy. The sides were also delicious! Waiting almost an hour for a glass of wine is unacceptable. Crab cake came out cold and then had to wait close to 90 minutes for our steaks. The experience wasn't the greatest for a fine dining restaurant. We were a large party I ordered Prime rib which was 7/10 in taste, crab cake were meaty but overpowering with a fishy taste. Mac and cheese was not flavored took one bite and I was done. Spicy rice was excellent & mock tail was tasty. The biggest frustration of my overall experience was the service and wait time of 3 1/2 hours they wouldn't allow our party to split the check due to policy. We explained that this would be difficult bc it was 6 parties paying for a $1000 bill so we split everything equally including tax and each party tipped separately and each card was charged but somehow the waitress still complained over her tip amount. I gave the min of 15% tip because of the inconvenience of having to do work while I'm out calculating each bill when this is not our job. And the waitress didn't want to take away plates that was not her job. Each card swiped showed me that you could've done the separate bills but just chose not to hence why you didn't get as much of a tip which you expected.
