From my experience, Sugo Social got many of the big things right but also completely missed on many of the details. I do feel that most would enjoy the food and setting, but the miscue on the menu very negatively impacted what would have been a fine experience for me. I was seated outside the day after it had rained. The seat cushions were wet because they had been left uncovered, something that wasn't discovered until after the party had sat down. After changing to a damp rather than wet chair, I was dripped on from the pergola above and needed to shift my seat to avoid getting wet further. When the food arrived, the plating was beautiful and the flavors were very good as well. The Asian flavors mixed with the traditional flavors of the dishes all agreed with one another. We ordered the picanha pate feuiletee, truffle pizza, and teriyaki chicken bowl. The pizza and chicken bowl were perfect. The picanha had amazing flavors but I could barely eat it. I feel that it is very important to label things accurately on a menu. I cannot eat spicy foods, and the picanha pate feuiletee did not have a designation as spicy as some other menu items did. It was unbearably spicy, the entire top of the steak was covered with a generous amount of the Korean chimichurri, way too much heat for an item not designated as spicy. For someone who could have been seated inside and would have appreciated a meal with a lot of heat from peppers and spices, I'm confident they would have enjoyed their experience. Unfortunately, the wet seating and very spicy dish that wasn't designated as such resulted in a negative experience for me. read more

We came here for my birthday a few days ago. I was immediately drawn to the clean, warm, and modern aesthetic. My husband and I sat in the booth area and it was very chic and comfy! Our server went over the menu with us and was attentive throughout the night. We ordered calamari, Korean bao buns, seafood pan roast, and vodka rigatoni. Yummy Asian European fusion. Lovely setting and nice service. Was a little slow, but it was a holiday and our waitress was leaving.

It is very pretty and very big but there were only a few tables full so it felt a bit empty. We started with margherita pizza and the crust was a bit doughy and undercooked for me but my friend enjoyed it. We also had the pork belly bao and the roasted chicken. Pork bao was fine but nothing special. The chicken was delicious and juicy and the mashed potatoes were also very good. Food presentation is lovely and the service was very good. Not thing is ever spicy to me but I will say that these had really great flavor! The crust was flaky and fried well. Now I got the seafood pan roast and he got the rigatoni! The seafood pan roast was good! It was more of a bisque soup than on the paella side. Served with crostini and about a cup of rice inside of the bowl. Filling and flavorful but add some black pepper or basil chef! The rigatoni had to be sent back. Only because their al dente style of noodles was gummy to him. They corrected it! We were excited to try this new restaurant in the Promenade Mall due to all the fun reels on instagram showcasing the food and drinks in this new modern restaurant which blends Brazilian and Korean spices! They also have a pet-friendly patio which was an added bonus! Our table enjoyed our non-alcoholic drinks - watermelon crush and lemon yuju, but I'll be back to try one of their "Blackpink" Apt margarita! Very cute having drinks named after songs! Service: Jessica was our waitress and she was phenomenal. Super friendly with the kids and overall very helpful. The service is a little slow, but thankfully they have kids' toys and equipment in the outside patio area, so you don't have to worry about your kids getting restless. This is a big win! Definitely makes this a potential go to place if you have kiddos. Food: the cuisine is kind of all over the place. Not sure how I feel about that: Mexican, Asian, Italian, etc. I got the tofu salad. The word "crispy" is in the dish name, but the tofu is not crispy. Tofu is still good, but I think they should rename it. We got the tiramisu, and I don't recommend that one. Not my favorite tiramisu. I did get the Matcha-tini drink, and that was phenomenal! Definitely getting that next time I come here. My husband got a pasta and he liked it, which is a big deal since he is Italian and a bit more selective. We crave Sugo regularly and will go to always get our fix on any the pizzas (esp the Hot Honey Sopressata), the Pan Roast, the Pork Belly Baos (my favorite) and more recently the Korean Fried Chicken which has an amazingly generous portion (which could definitely feed two in my opinion). Oh well! Kind of sorry we ended up here for a not so fine dining experience! After they brought out the cheese puffy bread which was delicious it all pretty much went downhill. The biggest issue here was that the chef was clearly not tasting the food, three of our dishes had an awful high amount of saltiness as agreed by everyone in our party. I tried a number of dishes and found their lettuce wraps and other Korean inspired dishes to be very good. This place is owned by the same owner as Looma Space (place for toddlers to hang out and parents to catch a breath). Because of that, the place is non-surprisingly accommodative for families with toddlers since they have kid dishes, silverware, stool in the bathroom, etc. which my wife LOVED. If you don't have kids, not to worry. The ambiance is still very chic and it's nice to get more places like this on the hill. We need more "fun" restaurants that feel like West Hollywood or Santa Monica without the awful 1 hour drive (one way). Livening up PV would be great so it's not such a sleepy town. Now the food... oh man. They do crispy right. If they made the chicken nuggets as an adult dish I would legit order that every now and then because those were some of the best I've ever had. And the pizzas... don't even get me started. The crust, my wife mentioned, was reminiscent of when we were in Florence and I'd have to agree. My wife ordered the Hot Honey pizza and I'm telling you... don't sleep on that dish. I wasn't expecting it to be that good, but she let me have a bite and she had to fight my hand the rest of dinner. They even gave every table complimentary Brazilian puff bread with lime aioli sauce which, as you can guess, was also very tasty. The service was excellent. Bailey was on top of it and super friendly throughout. Last tips: 1. Make reservations. At 5:43pm this Saturday evening we heard them telling people that they were all booked up and there was only the bar/ lounge area available for no walk ins. 2. Park one floor down from the very top because there's a ramp with direct access where you don't have to go up or down any stairs to get to the front of the restaurant. It's right above Talbots. 3. A great addition to the PV mall! My first time here was with my parents. As part of the soft opening, we were given free Brazilian cheese bread. We ordered the calamari, chicken empanadas, Modena salad, hot honey sopressata pizza, and picanha pate feuiletee. While the chicken empanadas were not our favorite, everything else was outstanding! The pizza comes with scissors and tongs to cut yourself, which I found very fun! The restaurant is so beautiful and clean, and the dimmed lighting for dinner creates a cozy environment. Our server, Bailey, was knowledgeable, kind, and full of smiles! My second time here was with my boyfriend for a birthday dinner. We arrived at restaurant less than an hour before close, however they still seated us. Not wanting to keep the staff there too late, we quickly ordered the house sake, Szechuan chicken sliders, cheese pizza, and grilled branzino. Additionally, we were given complimentary Brazilian cheese bread! Again, all the food was delicious and the service was great. We were able to leave the restaurant before many of the tables that were already seated and eating, although I still feel bad about arriving so close to closing. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The servers were young, sweet, and completely inexperienced. They never looked at the table to see if we needed anything. Stopped in for lunch today. I will be totally honest, it was definitely not operating at peak hours on a Monday afternoon, but I was excited to check out a new place in the neighborhood. Let's start with the atmosphere. The restaurant itself is beautiful, wide open, light and airy and very well appointed. I thought I would sneak in to the bar area, but it didn't seem to be quite open. So I sat in the main dining area with a view of the kitchen. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the food came out fresh and rather quickly. I ordered the sliders and fries. I wish I would've gone for something a little bit more unique. The sliders were definitely high-quality and well prepared. The fries were served as a huge portion. Next time I would likely go for something less standard and obvious. The cocktail menu looked interesting, but since the bar wasn't open, I didn't dig too far into it. I am hopeful that I can come back soon and explore more of the menu -- which is a little confusing to be honest. Sugo has two translations; one in Korean and one in Italian. But then they also served me Brazilian cheese bread and had empanadas on the menu. I don't think this is a bad thing, but I do think that the concept doesn't really explain the menu fully. As a community, we lack nice restaurants in this area. The Peninsula is pretty isolated and rarely do we see restaurant openings. I hope the shopping center does continue to expand and it looks like there are more businesses moving in. I'll definitely be looking to Sugo again in the future. I have high hopes and don't think I did a great job, selecting drinks and dishes that would give me the best experience. Lastly, I will say that the website doesn't exactly give us a lot of information about what they are serving. Their Instagram claims to have brunch, but there is no brunch menu available online and there is no separate menu between lunch and dinner. The website menu is only photographs of dishes and not a menu with descriptions: For those reasons I feel like there could be more attention paid to their offerings and what people can expect when walking in. I can't say enough good things about this place. Love the fusion concept and the variety of dishes. They are still making adjustments to the menu and service but are doing a good job figuring things out. The mix of cusines are Italian, Brazilian, and Korean and the dishes are made for sharing. The biggest draw for me initially was that they had pan roast on the menu. I have not seen many places with pan roast around and almost always get it when im in Vegas. This was a great version of it and it definitely scratches that itch without making the trip out to Vegas. I would come back just for this. The bibimbap tasted legit and was a good size. Only nag for me was that they didn't give enough kimchi but I suppose you could just ask for more. The gnocchi was excellent. Light and soft and I could taste the potato. The sauce for me was great but I could have used just a touch more sweetness from the squash. Branzino was a hit with my family. The fish was cooked beautifully, not dry or overcooked. Rose prawns were also well liked. I love almost anything rose. Tomato and cream is such a great combo. Also, right now they give Brazilian cheese bread popover as a complimentary starter and they are delicious. Nice and cheesy and chewy with that tapioca starch. The garlic sauce is also so addictive. You could probably put that sauce on anything. Give them a try and help establish this restaurant here in the south bay. The owners and management seem so nice. This is by far my new favorite restaurant in pv. Those who know, know what I mean and this blew me out of the park! I loved every single dish and the pizza dough was out of this world. The Korean squash gnocchi was so damn good like an elevated version of the Trader Joe's version. Worth every dollar and penny and I will be telling all the locals to come here. 10 out of 10! You have to check this place out. This is a brand new restaurant that just opened up. The decor is beautiful and vibes are friendly and welcoming. The food and service is out of this world. We tried the Rose shrimp pasta, Seafood Pan Roast, Pepperoni Pizza, Pao de Queijo, Pork belly bao and some fancy drinks to wash it all down. The lychee soju cocktail was paired well with this meal. Now the service was also amazing. Everyone had smiles the entire time, you can tell this is a family oriented restaurant. This was my second time at SUGO. The first time was just after they had opened while they were still working the kinks out. I have to say I left as disappointed as I did the first time. We came to SUGO on a Saturday afternoon. ATMOSPHERE: First, to get the obvious out of the way, the atmosphere is wonderful. It's clean, upscale, and definitely gives the 'luxe' vibes. The chairs are also quite comfortable and cushy! Unfortunately, that's where the great experience ended. ENTERING: There are two doors into SUGO: one from the main square up a big staircase in the Promenade PV center and one tucked away on the second floor. Regardless of which door you enter through, you're left wondering through the restaurant with no guidance on where to go -- there is no 'reception', if you will. There are reception desks but they're pushed to the side and up against the wall with no one helping guide people where to go. Over the entire time we were there, every single group (at least 7 groups) had the same problem of not knowing where to go or what to do, trying to find a server to tell them where they're sitting, and to get service. It's incredibly disappointing to see this while also seeing servers tucked away in the bar room just chatting away. SERVICE: The service was a little odd especially at the beginning. After walking in and finally finding a server, we asked if we could just sit anywhere. The server we had found was flustered and said to 'yeah just sit anywhere'. Look, I get it. Food service can be extremely overwhelming at times but there were a grand total of 3 tables being served at that time and at LEAST 3 servers walking around. Once we were seated there was a little miscommunication on who would be helping us. Not a huge deal. Miscommunication happens. MENU: After sitting down, you're presented with an actual piece of thin printer paper for a menu that is crumpled (and in my case, torn) which was a weird dissonance from the high-scale vibes of the place. The actual menu is also smaller than what is posted on their website so just be prepared if you look over the menu ahead of time. FOOD: After sitting down, you're presented with a complimentary cheesy popover of sorts and I have to say this was definitely the highlight of the meal -- it was soft and cheesy. I had ordered the Brick Roasted Chicken which came with mashed potatoes and a salad. The chicken itself was terribly dry and and bland and the mashed potatoes desperately needed additional salt. My husband had a pizza and said it was fine -- not spectacular but not terrible. As for the drinks, the orange juice and iced tea were definitely from a bottle that you could get from a grocery store and the water had this weird taste that I can't quite describe. All in all, the food & drinks weren't worth the price. OVERALL: This place has such potential. The atmosphere & location is great but the actual experience and food quality really need to be worked on. read more

I just wanted to add to my previous review as I had cohosted a party of about 60 on 12/14/25. They offer different packages and I opted for the most food; therefore, the most expensive package where you get to pick 2 out of 3 appetizers options, one salad out of 3 options, 3 different entrees out of 6 options and one dessert out of 5 options. I do have to say that there was a lot of food and most people took some of their entree home. The food was very consistent as when dining with a small party. First time at Sugo recently after wanting to try it for a while. I went with two of my kids. The service was good but not great, as there's an awkward entryway with a host stand but no host. If you look down the hallway of sorts there's a sign saying to check in at the bar. Weird. Staff walked by and didn't say a word for a minute or two before we saw the sign. Maybe put another sign by the actual entrance? Something to consider. Food was good, but not amazing. I like the diverse menu. Noticed that a table next to use got their food ahead of us, despite arriving a good 10 minutes after us. Weird. We enjoyed the food, prices are reasonable and the ambiance was solid. Didn't ask us if we wanted dessert, so we left and got my kids dessert elsewhere. Not sure why they didn't ask. Weird. One of the best part is that it's locally owned by a South Bay family. Great way to support our community. Love the ambiance here! Jacob and Matthew were very helpful, attentive and very kind! We started with their complimentary cheese bread appetizer which was amazing. I ate it so fast I couldn't even get a picture. Crispy and light on the outside and cheesy and fluffy on the inside. Next I tried 2 items on their Mini Bites menu which were the chicken empanada and the pork belly lettuce wrap. The pork belly was the right amount of crispy and the ssamjang was a nice compliment sauce. The chicken empanada was equally if not more amazing. The outside had such a nice crunch and the chimichurri was just the perfect amount of spicy to pair with the shredded chicken inside. My sister in law ordered the vodka rigatoni and loved it! She said it was also the right amount of spicy and a little al dente which she prefers. We only came for a little happy hour snack, but will definitely be back for dinner in the future! read more

We came here after a movie for lunch and arrived just at the start of Happy Hour. They have a kids menu and mine loved the pizza. My favorite item was the complimentary cheesey bread puff with yummy sauce. The calamari, shrimp taquitos, and chicken Karage were loved by all. The sauces are the best, all handmade each day. The mini skillet cookie with ice cream was a perfect end to the day. Atmosphere is inviting, my kids and husband loved that the bathroom had mouthwash too.
