This place may not look the best.. sometimes it takes a while to get food... but these are the best Wings. I get them extra crispy. They are so good. Every sauce is good. It's a good place for kids too. We usually sit by the games so my son can play. The blue cheese fries are delicious! And if you're a sweet tea fan.. they know how to make it. They should invest in cleaning the place up a bit but it's a great sports bar! read more

Are you here for the all you can eat crab legs on Wed night...well yes we are....she then tells us they are about to run out. Run out??? Pretty great food, overall. The onion rings were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The wings were MASSIVE, but just crispy enough. The ranch and blue cheese dressings were incredible. The Kobe beef burger were done perfectly and seasoned well. The portion of fries were quite generous too. The service was moderate- the server was friendly and accommodating, however it did take a bit more time than expected to receive our food (especially when it's 9pm on a monday and myself and my boyfriend were the only two in the dining room with 3 guests at the bar). DH, 11 month daughter and I had lunch here last Sunday. Plenty of TVs to be had for football watching. Granted they are a bunch of older Sanyo tube TVs but that didn't seem to bother the sports fans. Summits has the sports bar thing down: TVs, wall of beer taps, and a game room. If I came here sans daughter, i might have wanted to see what ciders they had on tap and would have wanted to check out the video games. The wait staff struggled to find a high chair that didn't have broken straps/buckles. Eventually, they found one that we could strap our darling down in. Dh got wings and i got chicken fingers. The fingers were GREAT and I have a high bar for chicken fingers. Fries were pretty standard skin-on fries. They were hot and crispy so standard is fine for me. The tea was good; it had a nice strong tea flavor. The service was ok, but that is what i would expect from a place like this. The so-so service will not deter me from returning. My biggest compliant was the sauces. The taste of the sauces was fine. In fact, the honey mustard was awesome. Now this is a restaurant that serves a lot of wings therefore they must serve a lot of dipping sauce. I can't be the only person out there who likes a lot of dipping sauce. Summits gives you this weak, tiny little plastic cup of sauce. and extra ones cost $.79. So they are cheap on two fronts. I am happy to pay extra for a BIG cup of sauce but not the thimble of sauce they serve. So for me and others like me, you just have to suck it up and pay for more sauce. The other items were reasonably priced so the sauce didn't break my bank. Frankly, i just hope Summits' management sees my reviews and takes this criticism seriously. read more

They have a really good selection of beer. Be careful what you order though. Not all are 16 oz. drafts. Be ready to pay $8-10 for very good specialty brews that are 10 oz. Food wise, I had the Atlantic cod and my wife had a salad. Both were excellent until I found a knife and fork in my ice water after I had drunk half of it. That is the reason for only one star. Yuk! We have mixed emotions about this place after multiple visits. The food always seems to be good and the service always bad!! I don't know why they cant get the server part figured out! Every server we have had has NO knowledge about the menu or any idea what a mixed drink is!! Like i said, we love the food, especially the buffalo calamari, but the lack of enthusiasm from their servers won't make us drive out of our way to go there. read more

We have been here for dinner, mainly on a Friday night we would go, but the noise from all the loud talking over one another and the "GAME ROOM" blasting out with the kids playing games and screaming.... it is best to go in the early-mid afternoon. But another thing we have noticed is that we like to sit up in the bar area, 1) it's far from the game room and 2) we like being up where we can see the different TV's. But if you do sit up there, do yourself a favor before you order and "look up".... look up at the years of dust and cobwebs above your heads....I mentioned this to one of our servers and her reply was "oh, we never clean that, we would have to close down to do all of that".... REALLY...???!! Come on guys, your food is outstanding, but with the noise, the game room and the dust/cob webs.... we have been our last time.... Loved this place! They have such a variety on their menu that I wish we had time to try more items. We did have the pretzel which is HUGE, garlic fries and garlic Parmesan wings. Everything was wonderful. They also have the largest selection of beers that I have ever seen. This is must stop for us the next time we are in town. read more

Let me start off by saying this was our third visit to Summits and the previous two times had been OK. Today was not so good. The first thing we noticed was that the dining area was almost completely empty. This was a Sunday afternoon and Summits is only a block away from the movie theater so I would have expected some after movie business. My wife and I started off with the Chile Queso with Chips which was basically just plain tortilla chips with a bowl of queso cheese and also a small container of salsa. They were ok but nothing great. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and my wife got the fried grouper sandwich with sweet potato fries. Neither of us had a good meal. We each ate about half our meal before we decided we didn't like any more. It was nice that our server noticed our displeasure with our meal and offered to let us order something else from the menu. We decided to just get some dessert. We got the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Thunder Layer Cake. It had to have been the worst cake I have ever eaten. It was like eating dirt. The restaurant did comp us our entrees so we ended up only paying for our drinks, chips, and dessert. I can say we will never go back. read more

I have been here before and the experience was wonderful. Last time I went was just that. I was with a table of 12. Understanding that we would have to wait for a table. There was a guy working on some electrical thing and we had to wait on hom. No big deal, then we finally sat down about 20-30 minutes later. I ordered a sangria (it says on the menu wine by the glass $5.99 and carafes were $8.00. So I had two and a friend if mine had two as well. People ordered and we waited, it took along tie. Nobody could seem to get a drink. I friend wanted a side of dressing but never got anything of the sort. So finally we get our food, everyone but me. The waiter said they forgot it and it would be rushed. 30 minutes later everyone else was done and I finally got my tacos. I eat, rather cranky by this time. Everyone else is completely done. The food was good. So we wait for me to eat. They comped my tacos. Okay, that's fair. Manager came to my table. Then we got the bill. We were charged for two $8.00 carafes of sangria. My friend was charged the same. So, I tell the server, and he tells me we don't have carafes. Kinda like a little smartass. I'm like then how did you charge me for 2! Anyway they also added 18 percent gratuities. That is fine if I actually was waited on, got my food and didnt have a kid who could care less for a server. I was mad as hell by this point. After fighting with the manager the bill was like $45.00 for one dinner and three drinks. My friend never got hers corrected even though she showed them the problem. They just drop the bill and run. I was so angry by the time it was over we left before everyone else at our table. I really liked this place before and the waiter and the manager really screwed up and acted like they were annoyed and could care less. I am not coming back and neither are my friends. The all-you-can-eat crab is great. The rest of the food is ok. It's bar food, and I think Taco Mac does it better and cheaper. The beer selection is ok but not near as good at Taco Mac. And since Taco Mac is just around the corner, there's no real advantage to going here unless you want a smaller restaurant experience and crab. read more

Went for the first time for dinner on March 26, 2011. Great selection of beer, very fun atmosphere. I ordered the Kobe burger. Extremely disappointed, considering the high price I paid. My impression was the burger had been (over) cooked earlier in the day and reheated for my order. Very dry, and not much flavor. read more

We were visiting the area for business and decided to stop in for some drinks. Although I had what looked to be over 100 beers taps, the first 6 that we asked for were out of stock! After settling to drink sweetwater 420. The manager came out to check on us. His appearance was less than pleasant. He's kinda creepy. After drinking our one beer each, we decided to leave the place. For years we have been looking for a burger place. Stopped in here on a lark on St. Patty's day and were pleasantly surprised. While it still has the sports bar look from Taco Mac days, the cigarette stench is gone, along with the creepy bar flies it used to attract. It is now a family restaurant with an extensive selection of beer. We ordered corn-beef, cabbage and mashed potatoes. It was the St. Patty day special, and was only $2/plate. We were shocked at how tasty it was and how inexpensive. I celebrated the day and the meal with a shot of Jameson Irish whiskey. Because of our experience on St. Patty's, we have gone to Summits to try their burgers. The menu is a solid burger lovers offering. Try the Kobe burgers or Prime cooked rare. Burgers are huge and made to perfection. We like the sweet potato fries without sugar coating. Best of all, the sweet tea is refreshing. If you have kids, you can send them off to the arcade room. You can enjoy your meal while keeping an eye on them because the game room is open to the dining area. The wait staff if friendly and accommodating. We vote Summits the best burger place in Atlanta!!!! read more

Heard the place was great, but the empty parking lot on a Thursday night should of clued me in. TV's are from the 90's, spiderwebs and cables all along the wall, no lines in the parking lot-tells you they have quit spending money on the place. Ordered a draft beer, so the waitress brought me a 12 ounce glass of beer. The beer was lukewarm. Speaking of the waitress, she had her kid with her. Oh, and this is after we walked in and the guy at the front desk folding napkins just stared at us. I guess I should of read that the sign said seat yourself, but I at least I thought he could talk. We ordered food, which I swear took about 40 min to get. There was probably 15 people in the whole joint so I guess they had to kill some animals in back. The waitress asked me if I needed another beer, and I said how much was this one. The woman told me $5.99, I almost shat myself!! Summits used to be one of my favorite eateries in the Cumming area until my last experience. In October I ordered their Octoberfest special which was a wurst platter. Upon my first bite I knew something was wrong. The meat tasted rotten and the texture was mush-like. I had my fiance try it to see if it was just me but she agreed with my assesment. We called the server over and her intial reaction was one of questioning my judgement. I did not request the manager but she offered to bring him over. After a few minutes the server came back and told me that the manager said it was the seasonings and I probably was not used to it. I'm sorry but I think I can tell the difference between seasonings and rotten meat. And to top that off the manager was not concerned enough to come speak with me personally regarding possible serving a spoiled dish. I used to eat here 2-3 times a month but they have lost my business forever. Hopefully your experience will be better read more
