Hello, this review is for the Sun Auto on Stephanie in Henderson NV. I was treated very unfriendly. I took my truck in to fix a general oil leak. $1750.00 later I still have an oil leak. After returning my car three weeks later and told alls good, I still have an oil leak. Now being told that it will be an additional $1700.00 to fix the oil leak because it's leaking in a different place, as if I specified where the original oil leak was coming from! I just need my oil leak fixed as I originally told them. Very bad busines. if you take someone's money you should fix the problem. Liars & thieves!! Wanted $1000+! Said front rotors were warped, rears were grinding and made it a point to tell me they needed to be changed immediately for the "safety of my family". Turns out the front were not warped and rears were not grinding. Didn't even need to be turned & still had 3/16 " on pads!! Changed them and everything is great! Only spent $100!! I purchased my (relatively) new car at CarMax, and Sun Auto is their third-party mechanic that can service cars under the CarMax warranty. My Chevy Cruze had mysteriously died, and was taken to Sun Auto for diagnosis/repair. Steve, the store manager, personally handled my case, and was a pleasure to work with. I brought my 2015 Mini in for an oil change, they asked me to look under they car and showed me an oil leak from my oil pan and timing belt cover, since I have had this car and all the driving I do I have never seen any oil on the floor in my garage, I told them not to repair it and they changed my oil, when I got home I inspected the floor of my garage again and no oil, so to my surprise the next morning I find a puddle of oil under my car, I have been coming here for many years and spent many thousands of dollars here so I was livid I went back at 7 am the next day and expressed my displeasure, they inspected my car and found my oil plug was leaking and agreed to repair and replace it at no charge, this is really a major inconvenience but Sun Auto has always been honest with me, even after this incident I will continue bringing my cars here cause they are straight up guys (in my opinion). read more

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and told the fellas that my check engine light had come on the week before. They checked the codes while I was there and told me what they were for. Turns out that not to long prior I had already had the work done and because it was recent and everything was under warranty they promptly replaced everything that had malfunctioned for me and they didn't charge me a dime. I brought my car here in February to get the alternator replaced. They said there was a short with the alternator that drained the battery, so I took my car to the shop that the battery was warrantied under. That shop tells me my starter is bad. Totally fine that it was bad too, but how could Sun Auto tell me that my battery was bad and miss that the starter was bad? Not terrible, but annoying that they either didn't check the starter or that they just didn't bother to tell me. The same week my husband brought his car in to have the air conditioning fixed and had no issues My husband brought his car here again recently to have the axel replaced. After 7 hours of his car being there he called the shop, and the guy said they can't jack his car up because of the side skirts on it. The same side skirts that were on it in February that they were able to work around to get the car lifted, the same side skirts that can be taken off if needed. Cars still in the same spot it was parked in when we left it, so i'm sure they didn't even try. It's fine if they were too busy to work on his car, but unacceptable that they would make an excuse to why it was there for 7 hours doing nothing to it, and then not even call to let him know there was an "issue" with getting it lifted to look at it. We would have been happy to make an appointment another day when they would have had time to actually look at it, or would have been fine taking off the side skirts if they were unable to get it up with them on, but we'll be taking it to a different shop after wasting an entire day at this one. read more

My husband and I have been bringing our cars here for the past 14 yrs I think. If it's one thing I hate spending money on, it's my car, so forgive me if this isn't one of those warm and fuzzy reviews despite the fact that we have received great service here. Robert is awesome. He's been taking care of us for years and we absolutely trust him. Again, very difficult for me to fully trust a car repair shop in general, but at least I know Robert has our back. And I will say that even with the changes in management over the years, we have always been taken good care of here and pricing has seemed fair. I would give them a 5 except that due to my lack of knowledge in the subject area and general despise for car repairs, I simply can't. ;-) read more

One of my front lights went out in my vw beetle and the dealership quoted me $225 to replace it! Obviously this is absurd so I called this shop and they told me all I'd have to pay for is the bulb. After they repaired the bulb I actually wasn't charged AT ALL. They literally changed my car headlight completely for free. This place is seriously the kindest auto shop I have ever been to. Brandon and his staff/mechanics were very friendly and quick with their service. I'm used to being taken advantage of financially by mechanics being a younger woman but this place definitely doesn't do that, and they really go the extra length with their service and customer relations. I 100% recommend this auto shop and I know I personally won't be going anywhere else. :) read more

Having never been to Sun City Auto repair before I saw a marketing advertisement on my phone about a 49.95 oil change. I drove to the Henderson Sun Auto on Stephanie because it said it opened at 7:00 a.m. when I got there the customer service guy behind the counter said do you have an appointment. I said no but I would like an oil change he said well we're open here, but the garage does not open till 8, come back in a hour...I know your company spends a lot of money on advertising I had never been there before, I showed up and was chased away, not a good way to spend money and then Chase customers away bad move never again... I think if I was the franchise owner I would have offered the customer a cup of coffee and told him we'll get it ready as soon as we can if you don't mind having a seat we'll be right with you thanks for coming in... read more

Robert and the staff here are great! From help me with my car, warranty. To find my house key;) they do it all. Also after picking up my car and not be about to get back there. You need a special code for my radio/security on my car. I would have had to get back to the shop or Honda to get this code. I work a lot so that not easy for me. I've been going to Sun Auto since 2014 when I bought my car. Steve was the store manager up until about 5 months ago when I got my oil changed and met Robert. As always, when I walked in the door Steve would say HI MONICA, all the other guys in the office were great as well! Robert was the one at the counter and signed me in that day for my oil change, same as every other time. I was there yesterday 8/11/18 for another oil change. To my surprise I didn't recognize anyone except Robert when I walked in. I DID NOT get the nice greeting I did for the previous 4 years. Robert helped me again at which time he said I have full synthetic and I questioned him and said I was always told it was a synthetic blend. He checked my history and said NO you always had full synthetic. I had an appointment at 10am. When I got there Robert said they were running a little behind. I said no problem. I went to starbucks as I always did and came back an hour later to find my car in the same place I left it. I questioned Robert and he said I told you we were running behind Haley, I said whos Haley? He said aren't you Haley with the Honda I said no my name is Monica. He said we will get you in next. Well, finally 35 minutes later after telling him to give me my keys twice my car finally went in for the oil change. When it was done at 12pm two hours later! I never once heard an apology for being so late. My bill was $56 which I questioned because I've never paid more than $40 in 4 years. Brendon said because its full synthetic so I asked him to look at my history at which time he said oh yes you have always had synthetic blend. After getting in a yelling match and dropping many F bombs with Richard who told me the last time I was there I got full synthetic oil but was charged for synthetic blend I was DONE with talking to his smart ass! This guy has zero customer service skills and continued to argue with me about what I've always had for the previous 4 years. With my 7 year old son with me I decided to end it and walked out at which time I looked back and said I will be writing a very bad review on this store. Robert said, go ahead, we are the busiest store in town then said with a smirk HAVE A NICE DAY. All this time arguing with them and raising my voice Robert was in the office on the phone and not ONE time did he attempt to come out and diffuse the situation, which is what a MANAGER is supposed to do. Brendon who checked me out was the only kind, non aggressive, honest person in that office. I was shaking when I left there I was so upset. I will NEVER bring my car to that store again. In fact, I asked for a refund to pay what I've been paying for 4 years and I was completely ignored.
