Butternut soup & Greek salad with watermelon drink. So delicious!
    Luisa H.

Lunch with my daughter in law was fabulous! We both got the soup & salad combo. Watermelon drink was refreshing and had the coconut ball and belly rub for dessert. The service here is always excellent.

When my friend told me she wanted to come here for her birthday lunch I was a little surprised, especially since she's not vegetarian. But, she loves freshly made food, and this is what you'll find here. Honestly, unless you're just a bonafide meat lover, you really won't miss it since everything is just SO good! I tried the Greek salad, which had perfectly chopped cucumber, carrots, yellow squash, cherry tomatoes and olives, with spinach and fresh greens and vegetarian feta. A dollop of red pepper hummus was included with two seed crackers (made in house). The entire bowl was so pretty and fresh, and tasted fantastic with their house-made herb vinaigrette. We also split a bowl of the Thai butternut soup which had some nice spice to it. My friend ordered the special of the week, which was a Mediterranean platter that had more of the above veggies, a classic hummus, along with falafel and their own tzatziki sauce. She offered me a bite, and wow! The falafel is so good, and the sauce is light and fresh. Because it was her birthday, my friend was offered a free dessert. She decided on the spiced chocolate, which is two small bars served with fresh blueberries and cut up strawberries. Amazing! Service was so kind and though small, the dining room is clean and bright. There are also tables outside. Sun Belly is such a refreshing change from the average. Go now!

Came beee because Yelp shows it is a vegetarian restaurant. Tucked away in a non-restaurant area, this place is a gem Super clean and the employees are very helpful and friendly. I ordered the a vegan black bean burger and salad to go because I have the dog with me and we cannot sit outside because of the rainy weather. Perfect lunch. All ingredients are fresh and the salad and burger were tasty. Highly recommend this cute little cafe.

I love this place! Excellent food, great attitude, and they have their own parking lot. I would definitely recommend dropping by if you're in the area.

Omg. AMAZING!!! I had the summer roll it's soooo good! I'm not a vegan and I'm just trying to eat healthy and I'm glad I tried this place! I'll definitely be going back!

    Wild mushroom tacos
    Paige A.

This place is easy to miss as it looks like a converted house off of a busy multi lane road. The staff are very welcoming and the menu is approachable but unique. I had the cinco de mayo wild mushroom taco special. I believe she said it is also the Tuesday special. I also got a peanut butter cookie. The tacos were so darn good. Memorably good. It's more expensive than I expected for lunch but food in general is more expensive and I'd much rather support a great local restaurant than save a few bucks at a chain. Absolutely worth a visit and I look forward to returning soon.

    Spring rolls, perfect and fresh!

It's taken me quite some time to come here because I'm usually working when they're open and last time I tried it was delivery and it must of been a one off weird day.. I get why they need to have limited hours but dang just a fewwwww hours on a Saturday would lend me to many more visits. The food... amazing. Spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce with it was perfection. I also got a side of chef selected vegetables because health and whatnot. There is no photo because it did not last. A side of vegetable was so good I couldn't wait to scarf it all down. The chipotle house made dipping sauce was so good I would have bought a trough full!! Once I have a week day available, I'll be grabbing lunch from there!!

Really good food that we enjoyed thoroughly. Very interesting menu-fusion of many cuisines featuring many ingredients that found their way into places one would not expect. With happy results! I had the salmon moussaka. The salmon was delicious-slightly blackened. Great quality salmon. Paired nicely with the lovely tzatziki and accompanied by salad heavy with toasted garbanzos and mucho quinoa, 'cukes, endive-heavy greens and a spot on bright dressing. Sister had black bean burger on dressed bun that was accompanied by perfectly prepared steak fries with house made ketchup that had a slight heat to it. Really good as well. Kitchen staff nailed the preparation and everything came out perfectly. First meal out in Greenville (as we cook). I could not have been more pleased. Great value for the price. Certainly not inexpensive, but not outrageous. I will definitely be "stealing" this moussaka dish and presentation for my wife the minute I return home! Menu is in transition per our wait person, and one interesting dish was not available. And a croquette dish had been substituted the croquettes for a latke-like pancake (I presume)-not a croquette. Extremely friendly to the veg crowd! Seems like a great kitchen and well run restaurant. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is very inviting... clean lines.... clean restaurant... terrific attentive service. We looked for a restaurant in the Greenville area that offered vegan and non vegan options. So this fit the bill. Richard said the veggie burger was a bit too soft for his liking. I say that in reference to a vegan burger we had in Berlin that was quite meaty in texture. I think using pea protein really makes a difference in texture... it is used more overseas than in the US. I had the zucchini and potato arepa. It was very tasty and quite filling!!!! A little too heavy for me for lunch... very hearty option. Our waitress was right there when we needed her, kept our water glasses filled, which is important to me because I drink a lot of water at meals. Our daughter had the Brussel sprouts, which she said were delicious. Serving sizes are good!!

We also got the kids mac and it was ok. I wish we knew there was breading on there. My kid had a hard time eating it. I got the seasonal cobb salad which came in two sizes. I got the larger side. It came with two 2 oz to go ramekins of your choice of dressing. It was definitely no where close enough to put over the large salad and I'm not the type to put a ton of dressing on the salad. When I asked for another one she said there would be a charge for it. I didn't have the coins or the cash for it and didn't want to use my card for such a small amount. So the salad was dry to me because of that.

Hubs had the meatballs (which the server said they only had two left...a friend nabbed the others) and other friends had the moules (mussels) frites and the braised short rib IIRC. The *.frites were the biggest hits. My filet was perfect, Sharon was raving about her mussels being the best she's had in ages. I had a bite of the meatballs, they were ok but people agreed there are better things on their menu. I love that the frites come with a choice of 3 out of about 10 different custom mayos (aiolis for the fancy-schmancy). I tried the curry, sriracha, and a fruity one I can't remember exactly what it was. I liked the fruity one the best and to my surprise, the curry the least (I usually love curry, but the balance was off). The sriracha mayo was too subtle for me, I slather sriracha mayo on my burgers regularly. I have no class. The frites were fresh cut and I enjoyed them but there were far more than I could eat on my plate, and sadly frites don't keep. They have my favorite super sweet Lindemann's framboise lambic on tap; I've only ever had it in bottles before, so that was a treat. My husband thinks I'm crazy to drink it because it is SO SWEET but I love it. So does Sharon, and clearly we're not alone or they wouldn't waste a tap on it :). It's beer for people who hate beer. (I resemble that remark. Maybe hate is a strong word. But in my 30s I realized I'd rather drink a soda than a beer, except for this one.) Desserts sounded good but we were too stuffed to order any. Next time I come, I may try the mussels, or I might just order that steak again.

It's in a basement that feels like a pleasant dungeon or a 1500's rogue tavern, you know, the kind in the movies where plots to overturn evil rulers are hatched. It is a unique vibe and after your meal, when emerging back onto the brightly lit street, it's akin to stepping out of a secret place and back into the light of day. The beer selection is impressive. This food is Belgian inspired. Hence the name being derived from a mix of Trappist Monks, trap doors, and a hidden underground enclave. Many of the beers have higher alcohol content, listed on the menu, be advised. The specialty is Moules Frites, mussels prepared in various broths and fries double fried in duck fat served with a flight of your choice of flavored mayonnaise such as wasabi, curry, truffle, sriracha, etc. Very good. Reservations are highly recommended. It was a busy Thursday at 6:30pm and the place was literally packed, even the bar. The two of us were seated in a large, dark, alcove booth fitting for six or perhaps even eight. We had a reservation, so the hostess said, "we may as well fill it" since it was that crowded. Being such, it was five minutes before we were noticed and placed our drink orders, another five before our water arrived and we ordered and about 30 minutes later to get our food. In between we were left to ourselves. The service was not negligent, but it was minimal and not really friendly either. It was a busy night, so we will have grace. But the mussels were delicious. We both had the Provincale, a rich, savory, Mediterranean sauce of tomatoes, garlic and white wine. Bourdain says "never order the mussels", in his Kitchen Confidential book, but here you are safe because they are very popular and the main feature. I've probably said this before and it is worth repeating, they need to up their crusty bread game. The broth is so good and the accompanying bread just doesn't lend itself to bringing the dish to another level, but it could were it better bread. This is a solid and must do restaurant experience when visiting Greenville. It arguably should be the "one" restaurant you must visit in town because of its unique ambiance and unique food & beverage.
