Surprisingly, I like this place! Been reading about the other reviews here and I am a bit hesistant to try it but it exceeded my expectations. We came around 1pm and there are a lot of breads available, and they all look good so got a couple. We also tried the coffee and salted cream black tea and it was good! Ofcourse we got the Portugese Egg tart which is just a dollar and the Napoleon Egg tart $1.49 each and I must say it's both good for it's price, it's not too sweet but still creamy. Service is good too, they were fast and polite. I saw that they have cakes too, which I think are affordable for the price and I saw a lot of people buying their BOGO drinks. Will definitely come back to try different things

I grabbed an 8inch strawberry chiffon cake for a birthday celebration. The 8 inch was $40 and served us all. Minimalistic decoration and lightly sweetened. Parking in the rear if you don't want to fight for parking in the front. Please come a d create your own adventure.

My love for carbs is endless Sunmerry hits that and the cravings but the breads disappear quick. Try their green onion pork sung, BBQ Pork Bolo, or mochi taro bread for something not too sweet. They are running drink promos here and there which can mean a BOGO deal for you and a friend. Truth be told, this review is really about their egg tarts! They are running a $1 promo for their portuguese egg tarts and $1.19 for their Napoleon. A-MAZING. Egg tarts have beautiful layers and made in house. I love the personal touch and coziness of this establishment. Service can be slow if it's just one register but it's worth the wait.

Love sunmerry's coconut raisin breads they are so yummy . They have all sorts of delicious sweet and savory treats. Definitely recommend trying some if you haven't.

Nothing memorable for me here, it was just an average bakery to me. Ordered a couple of egg tarts, not bad but I could get the same thing closer to home in Westminster.

Their Napoleon egg tart is so good! Custardy middle, flaky shell--delicious! I appreciate it being $1.49! I highly recommend!

Get this!! Omg the matcha cake is so good. The match powder is strong and yummy. I'm so surprised cuz I'm not that into matcha The taro cake is surprisingly good too! Get this. It has a layer of pudding! Taste like the Japanese pudding in 3 small cup in 7-11. The flavor contrast so so complimentary I like the Black Forest and tiramisu cake. But the new flavors I mentioned on top is such a surprise!!! Store is clean and orderly. Can pay with card. Everything has a divider. Also there's a bench outside to sit if u cant wait to eat trip back home.

Look at how nice they bagged my pastries! I hope management sees this. I've gone to other brand bakery and they throw everything. The 2 young gentleman at the front were so pleasant even when I notice a customer being very rude to them. They still smiled and was pleasant. Thank you for attention to detail when bagging. Please know I appreciate you both.

Love this bakery for a sweet treat or savory pastry. They also have a BOGO drink special for the summer, which changes based on the day for the week. Since it was Sunday, we got BOGO on boba milk tea, which served as a delicious post meal treat. The boba was qq, and milk tea wasn't too sweet. Also got an Ube conche, the ube topping was great, but the ube filling wasn't sweet enough IMO. This parking lot is always busy on the weekends, so be prepared to loop around a few times before finding a spot. Nothing noteworthy about ambiance since it's a small storefront meant for takeout.

An authentic Taiwanese bakery with high quality baked goods. I've been craving pork floss bread for ages, and I'm so glad I finally found it here.

It's a good, simple bakery! There were a lot of nice small pastries to choose from, and I ended up just getting a chicken cheddar because of what I was craving in the moment. And it turned out to be pretty good! I also got a matcha latte and my personal taste is a little different, and I like my drinks sweet. The matcha wasn't too strong, but it did hit the mark on that other end I mentioned, so overall, it wasn't too bad either

Ordered a matcha tiramisu birthday cake from here, it was very nice and creamy with a good matcha flavor and matcha dusting on top. Also got a sesame mochi bun. Did not taste the mochi but the black sesame was yummy, bread was slightly dry but overall tasted good!

Beware of plastic found in drink!!

Updating my review: Since I frequent A&J next door, I decided to stop by and look at their bakery selection. They've significantly improved since I've last been here years ago. The breads were fresh and I enjoyed the cakes and donuts as well. Favorites: chocolate donut- it's so soft and fluffy. Very fresh. Black Forest cake!- love this one for birthdays Drinks: strawberry black tea with lychee or strawberry cream foam tea. Both delicious! I've enjoyed my last few visits here and recommend!

Unfortunately, we do not deliver. If you want a delivery option, you can order from us on our Grubhub and DoorDash.

Parking, however, due to the other popular neighboring restaurants can pose a challenge. There was a line forming, but it goes by quickly and the drinks seem prebatched to save time. Even if that was the case, their drinks are amazing. My recommendations are their Double Matcha, Matcha Einspanner, and their Pandan Coffee. All are excellent choices and the sweetness level is a good ratio for me. I kept my matcha at a regular sweetness and it was perfect. Any less, the bitter taste may be too strong for me, so I enjoyed it. The service was fast, and the matcha was definitely up to my standard. Parking is difficult on weekends; you'll have to park in the lot next door and cross the brick road. The interior is lovely. There's a Vespa located out in front, too. Very Vietnamese culture driven! When I first came to Phin Smith, a friend had to teach me what to do. It can be overwhelming for first time patrons. You come inside and you get in line towards the left side. This gives you a bit of time to look at the menu, and decide what you want. Every year, they've extended their menu and added new teams. My fiancé noted they had a new tonic this time around. After barista will ask for the next guest once they are ready. You walk up to this long counter and give them your order. They will ask for what size and any other customizations if applicable. You then, stand towards the island to make room for other people. The barista will make your drink and call for you when it's done. You grab your drink, and walk forward to the back center, where there is a cashier. You pay for your drink and that's it! I always, always get their banana coffee. I try banana coffee from other cafes, but nothing quite beats Phin Smith's banana coffee. It's the banana coffee of my dreams and I crave it all the time. It's fantastic. The service was friendly, though understandably a bit slow because of the constant crowd. The line may look intimidating at first, but it's mostly because orders take a while to prepare rather than an overwhelming number of customers. If you visit, make sure you have plenty of time and don't mind being in a crowded space. The drinks were good overall, but definitely on the sweeter side for my taste. I'd recommend asking for less sugar or using an unsweetened oat milk option if available, since even the milk seemed to add quite a bit of sweetness. One thing that was concerning was the seating. One of the chairs at our table was already damaged, and a member of our group unexpectedly fell backward when it gave out. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt, but it was a scary experience. We showed the staff that the chair had already been broken. The chairs are quite small and delicate, so I'd suggest checking your seat before sitting down and being a little cautious. Overall, it's a nice spot if you're looking for a cute café and don't mind waiting, but I'd recommend visiting during a less busy time and customizing your drink if you prefer it less sweet.

This review is for their event/buyout experience only…read more Overall it was a positive, delightful experience. It was easy to plan and the event coordinator was professional and responsive to their guidelines (2 business days). There were some things that could be improved. Planning - Two tables were missing two seats so a total of 4 seats weren't there as they were in the info packet diagram. It required some improvisation and worked out ultimately because some of our guests no-showed and the other table had children who sat in their parents lap. - Having done (and loved) their previous afternoon tea service before, I assumed guests would have their choice of tea. In actuality, you choose 6 teas for the whole event. There's no mention of it in the packet and we didn't find out until we arrived. You only get so much time to set up so it would have been better to be able to choose the teas ahead of time to think about everyone's preferences. - a few times I'd send over a numbered list of questions, and they would respond in paragraphs, which generally answered my questions but did not always answer all of them, which meant I had to re-ask or just assume we could figure it out later. Day of Service - Many guests didn't know how much they could eat per the tiered platters. It would have been nice if the waitstaff informed the guests what the items on the platter was and how many items each guest was entitled to. It seemed like most of the time our items were silently delivered and there wasn't a lot of checking in. - They didn't come by to refill the water for our 6 teapots often enough, so we often had empty pots for long stretches of time. Overall a good experience with some tweaks would be really great.
