Came here a few times now! I only visit Stonestown/ SF to eat here. For appetizers, my favorite dishes are the supreme pork xiao long bao, stir fried string beans, pan fried pork dumplings, and tan tan noodles. The supreme pork xiao long bao was really delicious, flavorful, and filled with soup. Stir fried string beans were sautéed with mushrooms and garlic, also super flavorful. Pan fried dumplings were crispy on the bottom and filled with soup despite being bite sized. Tan Tan noodles are a must try. I only get them here. Noodles are firm, filled with different sauces, toppings, and minced meat which work really well together. Every dish was super flavorful. Ambience is really pretty. Love that majority of their tables were booths. Marble tables. Super clean. Service was great. Refilled out drinks. Gave us more napkins. Even helped us swap out a drink we didnt like! Tried Supreme Dumplings in SF for my mom's birthday and overall the experience was just okay. We ordered a pretty good spread including the supreme pork xiao long bao, Wagyu beef xiao long bao, egg rolls, pork chop fried rice, Chinese braised tofu, and hot and sour soup. We also got the onyx golden lava custard buns for my mom's birthday. The xiao long baos were good and everything came out looking really nice, but overall the food didn't really wow me. The pork chop fried rice was probably the biggest miss. It tasted like there was no salt on it at all, so it ended up being really bland even with the pork chop. The restaurant itself has a nice ambience, but the music threw me off a little. At one point they were playing the explicit version of Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" during dinner lol. Nothing against Eminem, it just felt so random for the setting and didn't really match the dining experience. They were nice enough to offer one free dessert for my mom's birthday, but when the check came the waiter forgot to take the dessert off the bill, so we had to point it out. read more

Loved our visit to Supreme Dumplings! The restaurant has a really cool vibe, especially the bamboo and chain drapery. Even the tableware and tea set fit the overall look and made the experience feel a little more special. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The hostess and our waitress were both super nice, and we were well taken care of the entire time. Service was excellent and the food came out surprisingly fast. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Xiao Long Bao were a highlight, with delicate wrappers and plenty of soup inside. We also really enjoyed the braised beef noodle soup, pork chop fried rice, and spicy cucumber salad. Came here with a friend for lunch and ordered the Supreme Pork Xiao Long Bao, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Beef Roll, and Brown Sugar Mochi Rice Cakes. Overall, the food was still good, but I noticed some dishes have increased in price, while a few stayed at the same price with smaller portions. The Brown Sugar Mochi Rice Cakes, however, were disappointing. The texture was soft instead of the chewy mochi texture I was expecting, and it was quite oily. The brown sugar flavor was too light, and I was hoping for more of that sweet lava filling experience, but it didn't deliver. I've dined in twice, both with reservations made prior online, and had takeout multiple times. For the dining in experience, the restaurant is nice but does feel very busy and cramped. Inside seating is tight and there's a lot of foot traffic, but patio seating (still indoors) is more difficult to flag down someone. Food is great. I love the pork XLB and crab & pork XLB, both are flavorful and very soupy. The mini pan-fried dumplings are also very soupy and crispy; they're a nice alternative to the steamed XLB and are takeout-friendly. The black truffle fried rice has a very mild truffle flavor, smells stronger than it tastes. The Shanghai scallion noodles is light, yet flavorful; I wished it came with a whole soft boiled egg instead of only half. Service is ok. Both times dining in, it was busy and slow. When I made reservations for inside seating, they gave us the patio. The host is all over the place. And once, the kitchen forgot one of our five items for a takeout order; luckily, we counted before leaving the restaurant. So while the food is great, service can be a hit or miss. read more

This is our go to XLB spot in the area. We love their classic xiao long bao, green beans, and fried rice options. This trip we also tried their pan fried mini potstickers and the pork chop noodle soup. The yuzu lychee frozen lemonade with lychee jelly is a refreshing accompaniment to the meal. As usual everything was super tasty and service was very efficient. We appreciate the booth-like seating options and noise levels are never that loud so conversation is easy. Now was able to show up on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and was able to be seated immediately. A very clean feeling to the restaurant, that feels every so slightly upscale. FOOD: XLBs: Standard XLBs were pretty good. Not as piping hot or as much savory juice as I'd prefer but still solid. The Wagyu version was good, but probably a bit overhyped and can probably skip. The sichuan spicy version was by far my favorite with the nice extra kick and tang that I really enjoy. Pan fried pork dumplings. Probably one of my favorite things in the world and they do a pretty good job. Crispy bottoms with juicy and flavorful meat inside. Definitely recommend. Tan Tan Noodles. Pretty solid. The hype for Supreme Dumplings is officially over - we came on a Saturday at 1PM and waited no longer than 5 minutes to be seated. Service was fine - not spectacular but not bad at all. Cute restaurant and enjoyed the music level (some places are too loud in my opinion lol). One of our bowls and one of our cups has residual food that wouldn't come off - kinda gross. Maybe the hype has gone down because the food isn't as good as people made it out to be originally... we ordered four dishes. Tan tan noodle - definitely our favorite of the dishes we ordered. Noodles were nice and chewy and there was a decent amount of ground meat + cucumber. Sauce was creamy with a little kick. Szechuan XLB - was fine. Not the best XLB ever but not the worst. Good amount of soup inside but the skin was breaking really easily just from trying to pick the dumpling up and I am not inexperienced in picking up XLB with chopsticks. Beef roll - beef was really tender and it was breaking apart in my mouth without having to chew much. The hoisin sauce was a bit too much for my personal liking. Nothing special here. Recently, this has become one of my higher-rated eats in the Bay. I have a good time here, and I love bringing friends so I can try more dishes, but at the same time, it's sad to have to share this delicious food with them because I want more. The xiao long bao is standard. I've never been the biggest fan of xiao long bao, though, so you probably will like it more. My favorite dish is the pork chop fried rice. The pork chop is deliciously fried to perfection. The skin is crispy on the outside, and the pork is tender, juicy, and salty. The fried rice is also delicious, light, airy, and they don't skimp on the ingredients inside the fried rice. I love the Sheng Jian Bao, too. Just be careful when you eat it so the juice doesn't splatter all over. Just amazing dishes all around. Most recently came on a Sunday night for dinner. I've seen enough positive reviews to know that Supreme Dumpling is the place to try and I think it's passable if you compare it to the other food options in the food court, but it's kind of average in my opinion. First off, service and interaction was kind of iffy. Their tablet is in front of the hostess table so you can add yourself to the waitlist there and that's what we did and the hostess that worked this past Saturday afternoon just kind of gave us a look, didn't say anything, and it didn't feel very welcoming, to be honest. Even when we got seated, she didn't say much and left us to our own. Our server, I didn't get his name, but he was friendly enough and gave suggestions through the menu. We opted for the crab XLB, mini pan fried buns, stir fry garlic string beans, pork chop fried rice, and the chocolate XLB. The crab XLB could look better with more soup inside, but it still hit the spot. The mini pan fried buns were delicious as was the chocolate XLB. The pork chop in the pork chop fried rice was kind of overcooked and not that juicy and the stir fry garlic string beans left a lot to be desired (I mean, where was the garlic...?) I've been to Supreme Dumpling twice now. One time was after they just opened, and one time more recently. The first time I went, I wasn't too impressed... Luckily, I gave it another chance and I really loved it! The XLB now is much better than the first time I had it when the skin was too thick for my liking. I also tried the truffle mushroom roll and the pork chop fried rice and was blown away by how much I enjoyed those dishes. The pork chop was super juicy (not dry at all) and the truffle mushroom roll had a delicious sauce and strong truffle flavor to compliment it. Hmm not sure what happened since the first time I ate here (when it first opened) to my most recent visit. I ordered the pork XLB and I really did not enjoy them. I actually did not finish the order, which is very unlike me because I love XLBs. The flavor was extremely porky which led me to think it wasn't as fresh? I'm not sure why it tasted the way it did. I did come here later in the evening (hour before closing) so I don't know if that affects the freshness of the soup dumplings. The pork fried rice was decent but again, the pork was not as tasty as I remembered. The fried rice part was delicious though. I was just really disappointed this time with the overall experience. The server told us that all items are to be shared family style. The braised beef noodle soup was the tiniest portion, not even enough for one person. I came to try Supreme Dumpling, which basically felt like a Din Tai Fung dupe, late on a Saturday night, and I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, the soup dumplings and the hot and sour soup were authentic and tasted delicious. I'd happily go back again and again for these two items. On the other hand, the service was abysmal. There were so many dirty tables that weren't bussed and so many empty seats, and yet we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Service and food were very good. Our server Tina was great as she was very personable. It reminds me of a mini DTF. We ordered the pork Xiao lung bao, mini pan fried dumplings, spicy pork wontons, scallion beef roll, braised beef noodle soup and the scallion oil noodle. Our favorites were the Xiao lung bao and scallion beef wrap. The noodles were good but portions could have been bigger. The braised beef noodle soup came in a clear broth. Food: The crab and pork dumplings were just okay. The dough lacked the chewy texture I was expecting, and the dumplings were placed too closely together, causing many of them to stick. Considering how insanely popular (and delicious) they are, it's no surprise that more and more restaurants like Din Tai Fung are starting to sprout up. Not that they're new and/or direct copycats, but they're undeniably similar and are increasingly expanding out here. Which, to be clear, is fantastic not only because it makes our food scene that much better, but because, whether it be Din Tai Fung, Supreme Dumpling, or anyone like them, it's just awesome to have that many more places like them around! Ahead of their opening last year, it'd be fair to say there was a lot of hype and anticipation for Supreme Dumpling's first location outside of Washington. Not only does the restaurant look great (way more modern and trendy-ish than most neighborhood Chinese joints in SF), but the menu does as well. Much like Din Tai Fung, the xiao long baos here are the signature dish to get, but the rest of the menu has plenty of intriguing items to offer as well. Whether it be their variety of small plates, like their Fried Pork Chop, Spicy Cucumbers, and Wontons, noodle dishes, noodle soups, entrees, or desserts, there are just so many intriguing things to try! -- SPICY CUCUMBER SALAD Not perfect, but still pretty darn good. While some of the cucumbers weren't as crispy as others, I thought they were fine for the most part and the dish had a lot of flavor to it. The pieces on the bottom felt a little salty, though. -- SUPREME PORK XIAO LONG BAO All in all, this was pretty awesome. Each XLB was like a pouch of flavor - the filling was so porky and there was so much soup inside. Most impressively, the skins were super thin and tender yet still strong enough to not fall apart. -- SZECHUAN SPICY XIAO LONG BAO As a whole, this was pretty solid. Like the classic/supreme version, the skins were soft and each piece was super plump. That said, this didn't have the sort of mouth numbing spice I'm used to from Szechuan peppercorns. -- MINI PAN FRIED DUMPLINGS Not quite as good as I had hoped it would be, but not far from terrific either. Mostly, I wish the filling had been soupier, much like the Xiao Long Bao, but I still found it flavorful and I love how the skins were so thin (unlike the thick and bready ones out there). -- FRIED PORK CHOP This was one of the dishes I was most excited for and, thankfully, it was pretty solid. Despite how the batter wasn't as crisp as I thought it'd be, the pork chop was decently juicy and really well seasoned. -- WILD MUSHROOM FRIED RICE A little pricey for how much you get, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't taste good. The rice was soft and cooked perfectly and I appreciate that they didn't skimp on the mushrooms (relative to the portion size). -- SUPREME TANTAN NOODLES Ehh. I can see why some folks might like this, but I thought it was just okay. The noodles had a nice bite to them and this came with a fair amount of meat and veggies, but there was a lot of sauce and the taste of peanut in it was really strong. -- STIR FRY SEASONAL GREENS WITH GARLIC Pretty tasty, but, to be honest, it's also a simple dish, so it'd be kind of hard to mess this up. While I do wish this had a bit more oyster sauce and/or soy sauce, the yu choy miu was fresh and very garlicky. Yum! -- RED BEAN XIAO LONG BAO Not sure if this is still offered, but, while I appreciate its uniqueness and that it didn't taste too shabby, one piece was enough for me. The skin was fine, and I liked the red bean paste, but the filling felt super thick and dense. Beyond the food, service here has been pretty solid as well. While it did feel like they were eager to turn our table over by the end of our meal the first time we were here, it made since our group was in one of their larger booths. Yet, the rest of the time, we never felt rushed even though it was the peak of the lunch hour on a Saturday and the servers were super responsive and attentive. Even though they aren't nearly as busy as they were before, they can still draw a crowd here on weekends, so make a reservation if you can or just wander the mall while you wait. Took the fam to Round 1 and wanted to give this spot a try after hearing such good things. We really enjoy XLBs so it was a no brainer. We made reservations a few hours in advance for a party of 6 and were seated right at the time of our reservation on a Friday @7pm. We ordered just about everything on the menu it felt like haha, XLBs, pork chop fried rice, spicy wontons, pan fried dumplings, honey walnut shrimp, tan tan noodles, kids meal noodles, and a beef roll. Overall everything was really good. I enjoyed each item I tasted, with my favorite surprisingly being the beef roll. Though, you really can't miss ordering the XLBs. It was busy, but the restaurant wasn't too loud. Server was nice but not that attentive as we had to keep flagging her down for things. Overall it was a great meal. The interior is really nice, very comfortable and new. The service was quick and we luckily went early for dinner around 5 and there was no line yet on a weekday. Food was not bad, highlights were the soup dumplings and the pan fried buns. Pretty standard for the price. Food came out pretty quick as well. It's nice to try but would t say it tastes better than other dumpling spots. It's pretty comparable. read more

Our party of 4 decided to come for a late lunch around 3 pm on a Sunday and it was around a 30 minute wait before we were seated. The inside has a decent amount of seating and the restaurant to the pretty plating they used was very bright and aesthetic. Chinese Braised Tofu - This was my favorite appetizer from our meal. It was the most interesting texture, it felt hollow and plush yet had a nice bite to it. It soaked in the savory sauce very well. Drunken Chilled Chicken - The chicken was cooked nicely and chilled so it made the dish very refreshing and soft. Very light in flavor and how filling it was. Spicy Imperial Braised Beef Bun - Wasn't too sure to be expecting from this dish but it was packed with flavor. From the bun that had crunchy layers to the soft braised beef and fresh vegetables, it was a mix of flavors and textures with a good spice level. Supreme Xiao Long Bao - A classic must get dish. What stood out about their xiao long baos is the soup, it had such a rich pork flavor that came through and the skin was so thin yet held the fillings well. Mini Pan Fried Dumplings - So cute and small. It was piping hot and had a deep pork flavor similar to the xiao long bao. Beef Roll - It was decent but not sure I would get it again. It was like a rolled up scallion pancake added with very soft beef and sweet hoisin sauce. It could have been a little crispier and it fell apart too easily. Supreme Tan Tan Noodles - Probably one of my favorite tan tan noodles I've had. It had a strong peanut flavor that came through and a kick of spice that paired well with the chewy noodles, soft meat and the crunchy cucumbers and nuts. Overall, we enjoyed trying a variety of their dishes and being happily surprised by the different textures and flavors. I would highly recommend it if you're at Stonestown to check it out. read more

I like the aesthetics! You can see someone making the dumplings in real time.. looks nice and all until I saw him handle his phone with the same gloves.. that can't be sanitary right? The soup dumplings were all overcooked and deflated - not a lot of soup content. The beef noodles soup did hit different though. It low-key reminded me of the soup my mom used to make so that was a nice feeling. Overall just an okay experience here. read more

Ariana is a very rude hostess. The quality of food has gone down. The fried pork chop with egg fried rice was mediocre with shattered bones. The child's plate with noodles, the noodles were all clumped up. The only saving grace was our server Anthony, he was so kind and attentive. Came here for dinner with the family. Wanted to like it despite hearing it's mid and just trying to be like Din Tai Fung. Service was good, ambiance is nice. Roomy and clean. Food was ok. Seemed a lot of dishes had added sugar for no reason. The only dishes I liked were the pan fried string beans, pan fried dumplings, and the wagyu xiao long bao. The soup was good but lacked soup. The leek pie dough tasted a bit undercooked/gritty. Cucumber salad and pork rolls seemed a little sugary and sweet which threw off the flavor completely. Honey walnut prawns were not the best I've had. Walnuts were stale. Overall don't think we'll be back. read more
