We made a reservation for 10:30am, luckily they have a 15 min grace period bc we were running late lol. There were actually quite a good amount of tables open, so even coming at 10:30am, you might not need a reservation! We ordered the surisan scramble, galbi jjim benedict, and the fried chicken wings with citrus and umami flavors. Everything came out at decent time, and the presentation of all is very pretty! First trying the benedict, the galbi jjim was very nice! Some were soft, but some were basically just like beef cubes lol. The benedict biscuit was a lot tougher than expected, the but the overall flavors were pretty alright. The surisan scramble with millionare bacon was pretty nice! The bacon is more on the sweeter side, but I enjoyed how thick the bacon cuts were. The wings were also good! The crispyness was very nice and the citrus and umami flavor was a nice unique flavor to have. More on the citrusy side, but overall flavor and texture was really nice. The breakfast potatoes on each dish were also pretty huge! Potatoes were a bit starchy tasting, and they are very filling. Overall, the food was pretty good! However, since this is more of a Korean Brunch fusion, I wish the Korean taste would shine out more bc it does taste a lot more milder, maybe to appeal to a wider audience? It doesn't taste like authentic Korean food tbh, but it's still a nice brunch. The prices are a bit high for brunch, especially the galbi jjim benedict, but most people recommended this so I wanted to try lol. Even small size chicken wings and another entree was definitely enough for us 3.
Chicken Cup Bap - was okay lightly spicy but it builds after a good amount of eating. The chicken had a great crunch but a bit overly breaded. Sampler was okay - probably would've skipped it and only gotten the original and rosemary as those were the only ones we really liked. Galbi sando - was not my favorite but the fries were delicious! The bread was a bit consumed by the ingredients inside. (Opted into no whip) Strawberry matcha was nicely balanced. (Opted into no whip) Ube matcha was not my cup of tea it was not well balanced. Service was prompt, staff was nice, and the seating area wasn't overly crowded.
Went back today and everything was great but there was mold on my orange with no apologize when discovered, or after a new one was served lol
Surisan has been one of my bookmarked places to try for a while and finally got a chance to check them out. Arrived on Saturday at around 11am. We were second in the check-in line, but took some time for them to greet and seat people. We were told all the tables indoor were taken but there was seating available in the upper outside area. Hubs and kiddo shared the Kimchi fried rice and the chicken wings (honey butter / soy garlic). They noted the chicken wings were crispy. They seemed to like the soy and garlic, but would've liked more flavor for the honey butter. I ordered the Creamchi Rice Cake. Kiddo loved the sauce on top of the fried rice. This was a good dish. The rice cake had a good chewy texture and the portion size was pretty decent.
We went here looking at the photos and relying on fellow Yelpers, but sadly this place wasn't worth the visit. We got poached eggs, I am guessing they poached it with lemon or vinegar because the eggs were almost inedible. They were very sour. The French toast was also okay, not something I would go back for again. Reason for 3 stars - Orange juice and Caramel Latte were super delish!
Very nice place and food is good not so many options but will definitely try the ither food on the menu. Please add more flavor on the Bulgogi :) Good for a quick korean meal. They close early but service is quick and nice. The place is cozy and clean. I wish I could have enjoy my meal though. I can't eat very quick and someone just felt pressured because they were closing and check has been given on our table after asking if we need anything else. :/
We made a reservation and had the option to sit either indoors or outdoors. Our server was incredibly friendly, and we came here to celebrate a birthday! There are a few similar brunch spots in San Francisco that serve millionaire bacon, but this one stands out as an Asian fusion brunch restaurant with a very clean space and a great ambiance. Chicken Wings - We tried both the hot spicy and soy garlic flavors. The wings were well made, crispy, and full of flavor. French Toast - My favorite item! It had a cream filling inside, and I believe the toast was double-fried. The fresh fruit balanced everything nicely, especially with the cinnamon syrup.
This place is trendy and big, with ample patio and inside seating. It was quiet on a Monday night and we received our food quickly. I can't say much about the food pictured but the presentation was good and it smelled tasty. I got the Premium Chicken Soup. It was so tasty I forgot to take a picture before digging in. It was hearty, comfy and enjoyable. That being said, this place is nothing special. It's a nice Korean fusion place and I'd go again if I were in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. However if you are in the area, it's a worthy meal.

The food was okay. I don't go here very often, it's not my side of town and I don't often have a reason to be in the area. In the past, service was really slow. I once 20 minures of my life to get the bill, pay it and leave. I should have gotten up and asked but I didn't feel like that should be required. Over the years, they've proven to be a great spot to take friends from out of town, s long as those friends are willing, able and excited about Korean fusion. They have a few standards. This Last time I got to hang out, the staff was very accommodating, we were never rushed and the timing of the food, once we ordered as really quick to show up on the table. And they have the bacon. I wish the Bacon came inside the bloody Mary but it doesn't.
Went here for both dinner and brunch and I can say that you go to surisan for their delicious Korean fusion brunch goodness! There is a waitlist for the weekends with a 30min est. wait time but it's well worth it! Easy to kill time around the area since you're near the pier to catch a stunning morning view. Staff is very quick & attentive despite their headcount to customer ratio so kudos to that! I've had great quick experiences in both settings. Must gets: Korean fried chicken (soy garlic in particular, skip the honey butter) Galbjim eggs Benedict, the fatty saltiness of the pork really compliments the light and creamy goodness of an eggs Benedict! Hollaindaise sauce was delicious as well!!
A classic Asian brunch spot! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Service was also great. I ordered the Morning Jook, which I loved. It's rare to see brunch places serve porridge, which was why I was so excited for it. Very hearty and honestly perfect for hangovers too :P My friends and I also tried the Blueberry French Toast which was so delish. Everything was so delicious!
I haven't been to this spot in over five years and finally decided to come back when in the area with my family. The food came out really fast, we were impressed! Which was a good thing because we were starving! The drinks were tasty, but the espresso martini had more of a milky coffee consistency. Which I guess I kind of expected because it was Soju base instead of vodka based. My family's drinks were good. They enjoyed them. The flight of millionaires bacon could've been better. It was a little undercooked/fatty and not as thick as I expected it to be, especially being that millionaires bacon is supposed to be thick. My sister got the omelette and she got a lot of cherry tomatoes. Her omelette was very watery. My mom's sizzling plate was okay. The meat portion wasn't too big. My plate was good, but definitely needed a side of hot sauce to go with it. Overall the food could've been better and it was mediocre.

Surisan knows how to BRUNCH! Located near Ghirardelli Square, my friends and I celebrated her first half marathon at Surisan. Joining the waitlist on Yelp really help for our party of 5! This is a Korean American restaurant so there are plenty of interesting breakfast options. Stand out items were Millionaire's Bacon and Ricotta Pancakes! Honestly, maybe the best pancakes I've ever had! Others at the table had Galbi JJIM Benedict, Fisherman's Benedict, Bulgogi Fried Rice, Dolsot BIBIMPAP, Bulgogi Japchae Rice and Sweet&Spicy Korean Fried Chicken. Everyone enjoyed their meal! Wow...I'm usually not a big fan of these fusion type restaurants and am sometimes hesitant, but I really was amazed at the presentation and the deliciousness of the food; it was really amazing. We arrived ahead of our reservations and surprisingly, it wasn't very busy. We were seated right away to a somewhat empty restaurant. It eventually filled up. Our servers were attentive and offered their recommendations and/or input when asked about the menu items. The menu offered traditional breakfast items--the standard egg benedict, scrambles and french toast. They also offer breakfast with a Korean twist. Some of the items our party ordered: Boosted Chicken Jook, Belly Bap, Kimchi Fried Rice, Bulgogi Fried Rice. We stuck with the Korean brunch items. We were all very pleased and I especially enjoyed the Belly Bap. The pork belly was not overly fatty and the fried egg was an especially nice addition. I was so pleased with my meal, I ordered the K-tacos to take home for my partner. Sadly, I was not as impressed with the tacos---I was anticipating a burst of flavor, but it fell short in my opinion. By the time I got home, they were soggy and not memorable at all. Definitely if you want the tacos, I recommend eating at the restaurant and not ordering it to go. Solid Asian fusion brunch spot. They have bottomless mimosas for $25. They accommodated my party of 12, and we made reservations a couple weeks ahead. The Loco Moco and Blackstone Benedict were both gorgeous and delicious. They even gave a side of Sriracha when I asked (Sriracha shortage just ended at time of writing). The dishes range from about $20-30, be prepared to spend at least $65pp after tax and tip. read more

We ordered breakfast but the lunch options seem great too! Excellent service, JC was one of our servers and was super nice and attentive. We wanted to get brunch after a workout. We originally planned to go somewhere else but due to the wait, we ended up at Surisan. I love that you can add yourself to the waitlist but the wait time was quick. We got sat down right away for 2. Once we ordered, our food came out in less than 15 minutes. The blueberry french toast was soo crunchy and good. I think we were really looking for something sweet bc we enjoyed this the most. The country benedict was okay, nothing great. The drinks were good and loved the different latte flavors but def overpriced for coffee. Ambiance was nice and presentation of food/drinks was nice. I really love coming to Surisan. I've had several experiences here that were perfect and a few that were just okay. My last visit here I found a few of the dishes were excellent and one or two of them were not great at all. I had the Pumped Up Ramyun, which is such a fun and delicious dish. My uncle had the braised short ribs benedict and he said it was one of the best breakfasts he's ever eaten. My cousin had the porridge, which she loved and I thought it was pretty excellent. My other cousin had the bibimbop, which was pretty disappointing. I still give this place 5 stars, because Millionaire bacon is one of my favorite foods and the KFC is always so good. read more

Surisan is one of my favorite brunch places in sf! They offer a unique take on brunch with their fusion Korean menu. You'll be able to order more traditional brunch items like eggs and benedicts with a slight Korean twist to it of also more traditional Korean dishes like kimchi fried rice and bibimbap. I ordered the locomoco and it was absolutely delicious and super filling! It came with a large meat patty on top followed by kimchi and rice on the bottom. The sauce was sweet and tangy, giving the meat lots of flavor. The kimchi balanced out the sweetness with a touch of spicy and sour. They also offer a variety of interesting drinks, the iced banana latte tastes exactly like banana milk with espresso in it. read more

Surisan always delivers. One of my top if not my favorite brunch spots in SF! And did I mention you can make reservations for brunch!? Amazing. I grew up with Korean food but never thought of it for brunch, so when I found this spot, I was in love all their Egg Benedicts, millionaire bacon, and blueberry stuffed crunch French toast are my go-to. Special shout out to the ricotta pancakes my friend ordered, so fluffy I also love their matcha cocktail and ube lattes. I will definitely be back to try their Korean fried chicken with daikon radish and their pimped up Shin ramen cup, and would love to visit during their dinner service! My second time here, and it is a cool spot right next to the pier. I came here a year or two ago, and I couldn't remember too much about my first experience here, so now this is more fresh in my mind, I can write more about it. The eye catching ramen noodles is asthetically pleasing, however the taste did not meet the looks. The best part was the strip of bacon, meanwhile the rest just tasted like the cup of ramen noodles without the broth. The Belly Bap was a decent dish. They did give a lot of meat, and the sauce on the rice was really good as well. The best part of our meals was the millionaires bacon and chicken wings. We ordered those for appetizers. Wow! This is a truly a treasure hidden in plain sight. Inside it is so elegant and fun. It is quite challenging to balance those two qualities. Service was lovely. I will say the reservation system makes it seem packed. I was waitlisted only to boldly enter and discover only 3 other parties. List and then go anyway. What a delightful (and expensive) brunch experience. My boyfriend and I walked from Union Square and were famished. We were seated outside immediately and couldn't wait to eat. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We both ordered lattes. The banana iced latte didn't have as strong banana flavor as I hoped for but it was still yummy. My BF ordered the strawberry matcha latte and it was sweet and yummy. We started with the soy garlic wings. I highly recommend. They were delicious. We also got the Millionaire Bacon sampler which is always a win. I enjoy all 4 flavors. We immediately tucked into our meals so I didn't get great pics and I forget what we ordered. Came here for lunch within an hour of closing. They still sat us despite crunch time to order. Service was still great despite the probable inconvenience at arriving so close to closing. Everything on the menu looked fantastic! I could barely decide. my friend and I ended up sharing the 12 Korean fried chicken wings since we wanted to try 2 different flavors: soy & garlic and honey butter. Surprisingly my favorite flavor was the soy & garlics so yum! The chicken was so juicy and crunchy! To drink, I had 2 Lychee-Ju, absolutely delicious! We went here for dinner which had very few patrons on a Sunday night(although I had heard this was more well known for brunch). We were in the area for ghirardelli and were looking for a walkable option. We had the bacon sampler which was delicious. My son had wings as his meal but also served ad part shared appetizer. We got the honey butter and soy flavored, everyone liked the soy sauce one more as the honey butter was a little too sweet. We had a poke salad to get some greens in which was refreshing and light. I shared the fish with my 6 yr old and sister(both with more petite appetites) and also to account for all the heavier appetizers. A solid Korean fusion spot (very similar to Blackwood in the Marina imo, but I like it slightly less). The flavors here are strong, but not super nuanced (it leans pretty sweet and tangy). The bibimbap was just okay (it was pretty sparse, very sweet) -- my friend liked his egg scramble. We also got a strawberry matcha latte which was really tasty though. There was a wait (as this place is in touristy Fisherman's wharf) but you can easily join the waitlist from Yelp or on the spot. Overall glad I tried it, but not dying to come back given all the great brunch spots in the city. read more

We were a party of ten here on a Sunday morning. We placed a reservation a few days ahead and were seated right away when the store opened. Service was fast and efficient. We appreciated the bottomless mimosas and the attentive server who kept filling up our carafe. You do get an hour only for the bottomless so drink up! I got the matcha mojito and it was tart and refreshing! The galbi jjim Benedict was very soft and tender. Just wish the food was hotter when it served! We stopped by Surisan near Fisherman's Wharf on Saturday around 10:30am. The restaurant has ample seating and wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. It took some time for the waiter to take our order though. We ordered: - Boosted Chicken Jook: this was my first time seeing congee on a fusion brunch menu so I was curious to check it out. There was a lot in it - pickled carrots, mushrooms, green onions, chicken, bacon... so it was flavourful and unique. However, the temperature of the dish could have been hotter. I don't think I would order it again but I'm glad I tried it! - Bulgogi Bap: Standard bulgogi with fried rice served in a cast iron pan with pickled radishes and a fried egg. Nothing spectacular but no cons either! - 6 piece Fried Chicken in the Honey Butter flavour: best thing we ordered! The wings were fresh, crispy and pretty large. I loved the honey butter flavour and would be interested in trying the soy glazed as well. As other brunch dishes (pancakes, eggs benedict) passed our table, they looked like fairly sized portions and the presentation was great. All in all, I'm glad there is a Korean fusion brunch spot in the city and I would return to Surisan. However, I would only re- order the fried chicken and try something new along with it! read more

We tried this restaurant near Fisherman's Wharf, and it did not disappoint! The service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The cozy brown-toned ambiance with soft lighting made it even more inviting. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, with heaters outside for comfort. Since it was chilly, we chose the warm indoor space, making our meal even more enjoyable. Here's what we ordered! Pimped-up Ramyun - Stir-fried ramen with Original Millionaire's Bacon, rich, slightly spicy, and packed with umami. A perfect comfort dish with a mild Level 1 spice kick! Korean BBQ - Juicy, pre-cooked BBQ, served with romaine lettuce, pickled radish, jalapeño, kimji, rice, and miso. Flavorful and hassle-free! Passion Fruit Sour - Bold, tangy, and refreshingly sour! The Tajín-rimmed glass adds a spicy kick to every sip. Berry Makgeolli - Sweet, fizzy, and fruity! Smooth Makgeolli with fresh berries for a perfectly refreshing drink. Whenever out-of-town friends and family come in, I make a point to take them to Surisan. The fusion menu is great at being accessible to people who might be less familiar with traditional Korean food. This is a place where the Yelp waitlist really pays off certainly because it's very popular. I've tried several dishes here but often come back to the same standouts. Of course, you can never go wrong with the Millionaire's bacon sampler anywhere in SF. The KFC wings are always a good choice, but I find you need to select sweet & spicy or soy garlic, otherwise, the crispy option feels like it's missing a little something. My personal favorite is the bulgogi japchae rice, but the dolsot bibimbap is a close second! You've got to add the pomegranate mimosa too! read more

Came here on New Year's Day with a reservation for 12pm and they were very accommodating when we were late. We ordered the Belly Bap, Surisan Breakfast Scramble, Sweet Honey and Garlic Soy fried chicken, and the Blueberry crunch French toast. Overall, everything for the most part was very good and well worth the hype. Belly Bap - 4/5 The pork belly was so tender and well flavored. I just wish there was more besides 4 slices of pork belly, a sunny side egg, and rice. Fried Chicken - 5/5 Was soo good and well seasoned. Chicken was juicy and tender. Definitely must get this. Surisan Scramble - 5/5 The scramble was delicious with the millionaires bacon. Although I didn't like the pop over as much. Made a reservation a couple of days in advance for a big party on the weekend - and it was a good move considering it was pretty busy once we got there. Came in a large party to celebrate 3 of our friends birthdays, and we of course had to get bottomless mimosas to celebrate. I believe we each paid roughly ~$25 for bottomless mimosas, which I thought to be a pretty good deal considering single ones were roughly ~$11 on its own. We got the classic orange flavor and it was delicious! While the majority of our party got the Pimped Up Ramen, me and one other person shared the Locomoco and Millionaire's Bacon. While I am not a big fan of classic locomoco, I thought the Korean fusion style and addition of kimchi made the dish more enjoyable. Located in North Beach, walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, you can count on Surisan for big party reservations. They offer brunch food with korean fusion. Been here multiple times and I think I've always liked their korean menu better than the brunch food. Would appreciate it if they have more vegetarian options tho. read more

i was really excited to come here! i heard great things and made a reservation ahead of time. that's a good idea -- no wait and was seated immediately. the overall vibe of the restaurant is very warm and homely. feels kind of like a korean restaurant with american comfort. does that make sense? our order was taken relatively quickly and brought out with similar efficiency. wasn't a long wait and didn't feel like that either. my friend and i ordered two dishes to share. the ricotta pancakes were nice. not too thick and heavy and sweet without being artificial. the korean fried chicken w eggs benedict left much to think about. lack of "korean" flavor and overall just a waste of my calories. not very delicious. would go without next time. overall, i'd say 6/10. i could've gone without coming here. their bathroom is okay. however the gap in the stall door and wall is so big i made eye contact with someone. awkward. read more

The flavors here are great, especially the Korean fried chicken--really crunchy with a nice sweetness. I love the taste overall. As for the ramen, it's a fun concept, though nothing extraordinary. The "pimped-up" ramen is definitely overpriced for what it is, but they're doing it right for what it is. The bacon was decent, but nothing special. read more

We came in at 10:30am on a Friday and it wasn't very busy. Everyone sat outside but we decided to stay indoors. Service was all right, a bit slow considering they weren't busy. First thing we ordered was the KFC half&half and it was good! The sweet & spicy had a good kick to it but not too much. The soy garlic tasted good too. The millionaires bacon is also really good and recommend it for those who haven't tried it. My bf got the burger and he thought it was okay. The buns were a bit soggy and the pickled onions didn't really add to the burger. The side of fries were made really well though. The best thing we ordered was the ricotta pancake. Tasted great and it was so soft and fluffy! Definitely recommend getting this. read more

I'm a little late on writing this review, but I tried Surisan for the very first time sometime last year. Overall, it was a great experience! My friends and I were looking for a place to grab dinner since everything in the Bay closes early so we stumbled upon this restaurant, all thanks to Yelp. :) They were open later than most restaurants. Parking was ok, we parked in a random lot and just walked over. While making our way to the restaurant, we noticed a lot of large rats running around outside pretty close to the restaurant. Definitely something to be cautious about if you're walking to the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted & seated right away. I ordered the Japchae rice & a flight of millionaires bacon. I was surprised by the large portion of food I received because I expected it to just be a moderate amount of food. The meal could be split between 2-3 people, in my opinion. It was quite tasty & filling. I never knew the existence of millionaires bacon until I came to the Bay. Ever since I first tried it, I've been obsessed. Out of all the flavors from the flight, my favorite is still the original millionaires bacon. It is sweet & savory. Between 3 people, our bill was pretty hefty. The food is delicious, but it is quite pricey. Was it worth it? I'd definitely say so. It's more of an "every now and then" restaurant. Looking at their menu, they have a large variety of dishes you could choose from, whether it'd be breakfast, lunch, dinner, American or Asian cuisine. They all just look and sound so good! Yes they are pet friendly, thanks to their enclosed patio! Reservations are strongly recommended but walkins are also available.

The closest thing to vegan, they do have tofu dishes and I think you can request the restaurant to make it vegan. But always good to contact the restaurant to see if they can accommodate your request.

Same ownership, but Surisan is more korean infused while kitchen story has more of a Thai influence. Surisan still has Thai touches as well.
Are there any dishes without soy and wheat?? For instance 100% rice or potatoe noodles.
Is the outdoor seating pet friendly?
Yes! Last time I saw a big pet rabbit (the size of a dog) in the out door dining. And that rabbit was riding a hot wheel when it left.

There are but it's very limited (only a small selection of dishes)

Are there walk-ins on Saturdays?
Weekends are super busy & the waitlist can be so long that the wait time can be upwards of 150+ minutes. I wouldn't bank on walking in without a reservation!
