Since I can't find the Germain Corporate Headquarters phone and address number anywhere; this is my only way to share what I experienced. I needed to have my ignition and key fobs replaced. The service representative estimated between $400.00 - $800.00 for the cost to fix both the steering lock and key fobs. The service rep stated that he would give me a call to let me know the cost. I did receive a call to return his call. I called back three times, left voicemails and emailed him as well. I never heard back from him. On Monday June 3, I received a call from the service rep stating that my car was done?????????????? I was upset and called back and spoke with the receptionist who transferred me to my service rep. He stated that the total cost was over $1,500.00!!!! I was so pissed off and stated to him that "you told me it was between $400.00 - $800.00." He then stated that "he told me it was going to be over $1,000.00 (this is a absolute LIE!!!!). I paid my bill and he stated that I no longer need the "older key fob". He then held it up and stated DON'T USE THIS AGAIN. I tossed it out. When I brought the car home, I couldn't open or lock the car with my new key. I called back and spoke with the manager again, he asked me to bring in the car again, and stated that it (might be a connection issue). Also, the service department never transferred my old key to the new one. THANK GOD WE HAD AN OLD EXTRA KEY. TURNS OUT WE NEED THE OLD KEY TO LOCK AND OPEN THE DOORS BECAUSE THE NEW KEY ONLY WORKS FOR THE IGNITION. I then called his manager and complained how I was treated. He was able to knock down the price to $1,036.70. I also have been waiting for the email that dealer always sends out to customers to take a survey... I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE IT.... IT WOULDN'T BE GOOD AT ALL..... (probably why I never received one). read more

Wish I could give them a zero. The Service department wanted us to do a timing belt at 50,000 miles or every 5 years. I told the advisor the vehicle was housed in a garage but he was having none of that and disclosed the cost would be 1500.00 unless they found other issues. He also disclosed that all of the fluids had to changed currently at a cost of at least $1300.00. I also informed the service man that the vehicle only had 21,000 miles and was only 4 years old. He then went on to explain that if any of the aforementioned items were not completed than my extended warranty would be cancelled. He also said I could go elsewhere for the service but they would probably use inferior oils, products or not the adequate amount, which would void our extended warranty. This was my first Honda and I must admit I was in the market and was going to trade in and purchase an accord and a pilot. After this nonsensical disclosure I WILL NEVER BUY A HONDA AGAIN....NEVER. I left and traded in the pilot for a Toyota, where I know I'll be treated honestly. I am not a licensed mechanic but nor is the servce employee. I was a commercial motor vehicle inspector for about 5 years. I have every intention of letting my relatives and friends know about the dishonesty this service employee (Victor) is. Call around and compare prices before you get your car serviced here! They charged more than double what Arrowhead Honda charges for the exact same part. They told us a part wouldn't be available for at least a month, but another dealership told us they'd have it here tomorrow, and at half the price. Beware the upsell as well! Sales manager wasted my time tonight! He wanted to offer me the exact price as the buy online on the website AND take my trade essentially for $0! He claimed the buy online feature is only an offer and when I asked directly if he would decline the website offer, he hesitated to respond and quickly said he took the dealer options $1800 off my paper quote. Such a terrible and unethical thing to say and do! What a terrible experience with Surprise Honda. Very shady manager, I feel bad for Troy, he was a good guy stuck in the middle. I have the screenshots and offer pictures to prove it! I simply "clicked buy online" on their website and realized I had to declined the shady paper offer, shame on you Surprise Honda for advertising offers online that they will not accept in-person. Also, drafting a paper offer including a trade in of $2k for the same price as your online prices (regardless of what I valued my car) is unethical. I have been bringing our car here since we got it in 2016, which says something about this place. In the past, I only went back to the dealer for service if I had no other option. Usually found my own mechanic. I really enjoy my experience at Surprise Honda. No pressure, very informative, and no bs. Our advisor is Nathan and he impresses. But I will say, I have yet to meet anyone in service, sales, or management who was less than professional. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. came in mid april to trade in my corolla for an older subaru. i left with the car. they called me this monday telling me to return the car because the bank wouldn't approve me. REFUSED to return my down payment for the subaru because they put work into the corolla which isn't my fault; they had it listed for sale. the finance worker threatened to take both the cars and give me the $800 difference or send me a bill for the $2k worth of work if i fought for the $500 back. the GM also told me i committed fraud for some reason, saying i worked under the table which i don't and threatened the same thing. i'm posting this now because i am going to file a dispute to get the $500 back as well as reach out to Honda corporate. i traded in the corolla else where so they can't threaten me with taking it away and they also legally can't charge me for work done on the corolla because they owned it, they just tried to threaten me to scare me away. I went in to get an oil change. This isn't my usual dealership, I go to the one in Avondale but because I was going to be in the area I made the appt here. Went in, checked myself in at the service desk & left. Nathan the Service advisor did not do a walk around, so I thought that was odd but I guess. Got a text that my car was ready, so I head back to the dealership went in, got my paper work & keys. Got into my car and noticed a huge 2 feet crack through my windshield (I had a chip in my window from the day before on the freeway) I go back in & asked if he saw the crack on my windshield & he goes "oh yeah I can see that from here" OK?? Did you not think to tell me that happened while my 22 Honda pilot that is less than a year old was in your possession? I said how did that happen? And he goes probably through the car wash. (I don't get my car, machine washed btw) so if he would've mentioned that to begin with I would've denied it & my windshield wouldn't have been cracked. Plus why would you even put a car through the car wash if there was a chip in the window (should've did a walk around) He proceeds to tell me well it was going to crack anyway. Well yeah it would've but I would've had some time to get it replaced before it cracked a whole 2 feet long. I go sit in my car in the service drive and I was pissed. 5 minutes later he comes to the car and tells me sorry, it was his fault because he didn't mention they put all the cars through a machine wash & gives me his service managers card David McKee & that he would be giving me a call. When I left the dealership I called David & left him a voicemail. Called the next day, did not pick up. Called 5 days later & left a voice mail still haven't heard back. I call again and talk to a service advisor and asked they transfer me to their customer relations. And they "didn't know" who it was. So they transferred me to David which "magically" got through & I told him what happened & he was not apologetic at all & at the end of it all he finally said send him my insurance & he'll set it up. Honestly, the reason why my windshield was cracked was because of your dealership so the responsibilities to get it fixed should've been Germain Honda & not my insurance. Lack of communication. I found out myself once I got into my vehicle. Lack of customer service because the service advisor was not helpful after I told him, David was not apologetic for his employees who work under him, never called me himself, I had to keep calling & calling. So we when to the lot I park in front of sales office and start looking models and couple vehicles where open so we look inside the vehicles so did that like for 30 to 35 minutes no one of them employees in sale came to us and offer any help not a single one so at that point I told my wife I guess they don't want our business (pretty sad). This place is very dishonest. They do not deserve to be affiliated with the Honda brand. The internet prices are deceptively low. The salespeople validate the internet prices over the phone, however, when you arrive, (Surprise!) you find out the sticker price is $2-3000 more than the internet price plus $1,000 more unnecessary fees. When we mentioned that this was a deceptive practice, the salesman said that they had to practice "aggressive advertising" because "no one would come in otherwise." When we mentioned that people actually appreciate honesty and trust honest people, the salesman tried to show us the disclaimer regarding the price on the website. He was unable to find the disclaimer. We told the salesman the absolute max we would pay for the car, however he would not calculate a counter offer that included the final price with all of the "fees." Whenever we made a reasonable observation about the trickery they were attempting, they continued to be defensive. We finally left. The salesman and a so-called manager followed us out into the parking lot trying to offer a different price. By this point, I was tired of the ridiculousness. We drove away. They then called me 4+ times and texted. I refused to answer or reply. Because of this treatment, I would not pay even just one penny for the car based on principle. I've never had such an uncivilized experience at a car dealership. Surprise Honda gives Honda a bad name. So unfortunate! I've owned no other kind of car than a Honda since I started driving. It was the most excellent customer service I've experienced since moving to Arizona three years ago. I wish I could remember the names of both the gentleman who helped me. I'm forever grateful for their calming customer service. I typically tend to get a little anxious about car service. They need to have better customer service by not selling a car you are in the process of buying to another buyer. Don't trust them. They will lure you in under false pretense and then let you know there is no deal for you because they choose a more favored buyer. Took my 14 Honda Odyssey to get an oil change because Earnhardt Honda Avondale was booked. Checked in and say down to wait, then was approached by service advisor to "show" me something and I get to my vehicle and the whole front end is removed. He showed me a recommended fix to my engine spark plugs and gaskets and of course I'm WTF , "why did you disassemble my vehicle I'm here for an oil change " and of course he replies they do an inspection free if charge. I said I want no fixes just an oil change plus they tried to add a tire rotation without notifying me. The next day, I hear a buzzing and humming sound and take it AutoZone and find out it needs power steering fluid. My vehicle was running flawlessly before I went to Honda Surprise. I called my advisor and he explained that I need to bring the vehicle back for inspection and check"why" it's leaking power steering, I told him they messed something up but he insisted something must've happened cause vehicles do breakdown. I explained I didn't come in for power steering repairs I came for an oil change. The kicker! If a problem was found, I would have to pay for it. My poor vehicle has never been the same. I am very unhappy with the service we have been receiving with the service center we initially dropped off of our crv on 6/26 for a shutter grille problem our service guy told us we'd get it fixed and covered through warranty. Then he calls and tells us our car needs 900$ worth of maintenance. We paid and picked up our vehicle. Not even a week later our shutter grille notification came on again while I was driving on the freeway my car started to slow down and not let me accelerate I almost got hit by a semi truck . Thank goodness I did not have my children with me . My husband called Friday and was told there was no available appointment and to bring it it today 07/10 while he dropped it off he was told that there would be a courtesy vehicle available in the afternoon and would be called when it was ready it was passed five no one had called my husband he had to call multiple times to get through to someone finally got a call back and was told there are no courtesy vehicles available now we are having to figure out what we are gonna do without one of cars when we are both working parents who have to travel far to our jobs . I am extremely disappointed with the service I never was treated this way at arrowhead Honda and this location may be down the street but we will never come back for service . read more

Reading the other 5 star reviews I wish I could write the same. We went just to look at cars and almost bought one if it hadn't been for one of the managers mistake. I don't remember their names but the men who helped us seemed pretty good at their jobs, almost didn't see the 'salesmen' in them. I feel like we almost got taken advantage of in this situation simply due to the fact we're a young married couple & we look to have no knowledge of cars. When in fact my husband knows quite a bit about cars & our uncle is a car salesman himself. Basically what happen was we went in to look, Eddy(car salesman) I think his name was, good at his job, convinced us hey maybe we should buy a car, he pointed out all the pros of the car we should buy and all the cons of our current car- great I understand that's how you make a sale. Our main concern was to get a new (used) car that is either the same, or a tad bit higher than what we already pay which is $209/mo for an 09 Infiniti G37. Another man higher up from Eddy seemed to take control of the situation and then kept saying and repeating "What can I do to earn your business?" We finally worked out a price $249/mo for a 2016 Mazda C Sport. Reasonable price & only $40 more, come to find out whoever was above him messed up and didn't add that they're paying off the 7or 8k left on our trade in car, the price was 15k before hand then the middle man took the paper and explained the mistake his colleague made, and showed us a different paper with a 'remaining balance ' now saying it's 19k. When I asked to see the previous paper with the "remaining balance of $15k" on it they said they thru it away.... How CONVENIENT. Luckily I did take a picture of it... Anyways the NEW monthly balance they came up with was $320 with a lower interest rate & honestly it wasn't even about the interest rate or the down payment. He kept saying "No ones going to give you this much for your car, No one will buy your car for $8k, No other dealership will offer you this much for a car with almost 100k miles, were automatically just going to take it to an auction, I can't put this on the lot etc" Basically belittling the car. My husband LOVES his infiniti & of course felt defensive and felt the guy was being overall rude / condescending. If no other dealership is willing to offer what you offered, then why did you do it? The GM (i think, not 100%) called, asked why we didn't buy the car & even said themselves "If I had an infiniti I wouldn't trade it for a Mazda either, it just doesn't compare" All said & done we are concerned about the monthly payment & 209-320 is $111 a month EXTRA we'd be paying. They tried to sugar coat it by saying, "all your money would be going to the car and less for interest & you'd save a ton on gas!" When you really think about it, it's still $111 more regardless of the interest rate, & the money we'd save on gas would still go straight into that $111 & then some. The man who made the mistake came in and apologized in person, very nice of him. Still wasn't gonna pay that extra money due to his "honest" mistake. They called later that night to let us know the offer still stands- we denied it. They called twice today, one was a lady asking why we didn't purchase due to how far we had gone, my husband told her we just weren't interested in trading our car- didn't want to make anyone look bad. Then Eddy called again letting us know the offer still stands, of course we denied. Luckily we found a better & cheaper car at the dealership across the street we're probably going to be purchasing. In my opinion & experience of dealing with sales people who make commissions and being one myself, I feel like we were tricked and lied to & almost taken advantage of. If we had been just gullible enough we may just have boughten a car. If they had kept the monthly payment at $249 we would have boughten the car. Advice to anyone interested in buying a car: Take your car multiple places to see what's the highest they'll offer you because you may just get a lot more than your trade in value for it! ** Upon reading the other reviews, they did in fact take our car keys, they never answered questions directly only turned it into something positive about the deal or car. One of the questions I asked Eddy was "What were your black friday deals on cars?" He replied "You're definitely getting a better deal today" & he kept on with writing his paperwork. I went in for a test drive of a Honda Ridgeline after speaking with Scott Collins in the internet department. Since he gets paid based on the number of vehicles sold and not the profit margin he gave me a really good deal. Prior to going here I had obtained 4 OTD quotes from other dealerships so I had a good idea of what price would be good. Needless to say I had gotten offers of $1,500-$2,000 for my trade in. They ended up giving me $3,500. I was going to leave but it was too good of a deal to say no to. Selling my car on own could have got me around $4,000, but I didn't have to deal with the headache this way. This place was more of a haggling back and forth place with mainly the finance manager Jorge, but I did get a great deal in the end. Overall the test drive was nice. The dealership has a nice authentic Starbucks machine and is a brand new building. Very nice. read more

I've had reasonably good experiences from Surprise Honda in both buying and servicing cars. I took my car in for service and found the vast majority of staff were doing nothing regarding observing COVID protocols. Almost no masks , almost no social distancing although the facility was not crowded so there was de facto social distancing. I am disappointed that they would put staff and customers at risk, the only business I've dealt with that has this mindset. So here's a message for you.
